Well, you've read the notes, the notes were revitalized, and now it is time for you to post until the revitalized cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FRUCTIFY!

{ { { HUGS!! } } }

Topc of the Day: the just recently received Dune and Dune: Part 2.

A Wednesday Question for BK on Friday: will the new edition of Benjamin Kritzer have a new print run, or will it just be an e-book re-release?
-
It will replace the file they use for both hard and softcover. The eBook is TBD because normally I do the eBook but they did the first ten books and so I think they'd have to re-upload a version I send them. We have to work all that out, but minimally, the hard and softcovers will be the redone version.

Good morning, friends.
-
I wonder if DR Matthew will be traveling to see the new Sarah Brightman Sunset Boulevard.
-
Scary moment last night with your computer, DR George. I'm glad there was a good outcome in the end.
-
.
-
I never speak in complete sentences.
-
If I can help it.

Thinking of you today, BK, and sending ~~~VIBES OF COMFORT AND CONSOLATION~~~

Interesting and exciting about Benjamin Kritzer 2.0

:)
-
More than half way to page two. Who knows what the day will bring?
-
Good morning, all!
-
Senator Tom Cotton is on CBS Mornings defending Trump. The man is a total fool. About half of what he says is accurate, half is the conflagration of lies Trump and his camp are spreading.
-
I had planned on doing laundry today, but it's moving to tomorrow morning. I have a tutorial with my arranging student today since he has a commitment tomorrow.
-
BK, I hope everything goes well today.
-
BK, I finished reading about Stages several days ago. Was there ever a CD release of the recording? If not, might there be?

Big day out west. I don't like funerals, either. But it will indeed feel better afterwards.
-
Back east, the last of the spring concerts is over, praise the gods, and today will be a ME day even if I have to kill a guy to make it happen.
-
Something I realized years ago:
We say "out west" and "back east", but you never hear "out east" or "back west".
Actually, there are probably geographic locations where there's opportunity to say "out east" since they even say "down east" in Maine and all. And I realize the common expressions come from the old general trend in the U.S. of A. for people to migrate in the westerly direction. But I would be amused to just once hear someone from the left coast say "back west".

That is a very interesting conundrum, DR ChasSmith.

We like those a couple of times a year, but we just buy the real mix. Would they really be better made from that recipe?
-

I'm out east in Boston for my college reunion. I'll be back west in a couple days.
Hmm, that didn't flow off the fingers smoothly...
-
Just for the record, I refuse to believe this is the last day of May.
I guess we all know what's coming tomorrow, right? It won't be safe to go online. Damn it to HELL, the damned tune is already in my head.

No, it's interesting how "back west" really doesn't work.

TOD
Hmm. Nothing here, either.
But the day is young!
-
Yesterday was a good day for so many reasons
-
But I was exhausted by the end and fell asleep immediately after dinner
-
I must get to work so more later
-
Good morning, all.
-
Hugs and vibes of comfort for BK.
-
Only one way to find out, DR ChasSmith. Although, if Red Lobster goes under, will the mix still be available?
-
Travel vibes for MichaelG.
-

I can’t imagine Red Lobster makes the mix. They probably just license it.
-
Travel vibes for MichaelG.
DITTO!

I actually have ME days both today and tomorrow, but I must accomplish some good
sh stuff in order to feel good about them. I will try.
I can even look forward to Sunday, with the Oklahoma! screening. That's going to be superb, and I will make it my business to bring back some photographic evidence.

The biscuits taste as good as those in the restaurant, so it's all the same to us.
-
I've looked for copycat recipes for a few things over the years, but I can't honestly say I've made any of them.
That would be an interesting question: Whether they already exist or not, what really good copycat recipes would you most want to have?

Vibes of comfort for BK.

It's usually nicer and easier to manage when June busts out on a weekend.

Interesting and exciting about Benjamin Kritzer 2.0
Yes, very much so! Congrats, BK, on that.
-
John G, fascinating carpet photo in last night's notes. Hope the hotel overall is in better shape than that.
More vibes for the competition.
-
Here’s a copycat recipe I want to try:https://houseandhome.com/recipe/coleslaw-a-la-joes-stone-crab/
-
Joe’s also won’t give out its key lime pie recipe, but the one in their cookbook is excellent, if missing something slight.
-
I have my vinyl copy of Stages.

Waiting to practice.

TOD: listening to a Spotify playlist but the song that’s on is “Then Came the Last Days of May” by the Blue Öyster Cult. Fitting.

I do four.

Very interesting notes today.
-
Vibes for MR BK for today.....
-
George, healing vibes for the poor chicken. I enjoyed the photos.
-
DR John, that carpet does rate up there with other terrible carpets. The photo looks like someone was sick on it ;D
-
.
I don't know if I can save my hearing. I would like to communicate with a person at my audiologist office to see him.
-
Bruce, I will be thinking of you today. Many of my family, including my parents are at Hillside.
-
My parents are near Michael Landon.

I saw that my old friend Andy Hammerstein (Oscar III) is one of the hosts. We were very good friends for a time when I worked at the Drama Book Shop. He's a great guy.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
-
Danced about 20 dances so far and I am still standing.
-
Jane, did you finish Anatomy of a Fall?

The people there say he's wonderful, too. He's on the theater's advisory board. May I tell him we have a mutual friend?

Of course! You should check him out on Facebook; he's a good artist.

Done, and he's accepted my friend request. (You're our only mutual FB friend at this point!) :)

I think the last time I saw Andy was at his father's memorial; that seems centuries ago.
-
Have you read his book about the Hammersteins? (He wrote it, right?)
I think he brought a copy to that production of ALLEGRO last year, and I have been remiss in following up on it.
-
Jane, did you finish Anatomy of a Fall?
Yes, though it was long we watched it in one sitting. The French trial was fascinating. I agree with you that Bueller should have won the Oscar, not that I saw the other performances to compare.
-

I bought it when it came out. It's somewhere in this apartment.

20 dances? Wow! Is this a marathon dancing kind of thing?

If anyone here might be interested -
There's a new Jardiance TV commercial, this time with a male lead singer/dancer.

Lucky. I never had the vinyl album, just the CD.

So my niece now thinks that it was a bald eagle that did the attacking! There was one flying fairly low and close to chickens' area this morning, but it looks like the reflective streamers that we hung up yesterday are distracting the eagle. Success!
-
George, do you realize you're really close to a 136,000 millstone?

Bernstein in his late career never would have gotten a ticket.

I have seen gizmos with mirrored propellers that sit on a tabletop that are supposed to repel flies when you have food set out.

I'm out east in Boston for my college reunion. I'll be back west in a couple days.
Hmm, that didn't flow off the fingers smoothly...
I thought this was simply an example of how you say back west, until I saw the travel vibes for you ;D
Have fun if you are really at your college reunion :)
-
Wonder if they work? From DR George, it sounds like they just might.
-
DR John G, are you still standing?
-
He is out standing in his field.
-
George, do you realize you're really close to a 136,000 millstone?
What?? Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Freddie! :D

I think it's known that shiny things can distract predatory birds.

CONGRATULATIONS on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament, DR George!!!! It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Up next: Hustle, west coast swing, bachata, two-step and c/w waltz.

CONGRATULATIONS on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament, DR George!!!! It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Can you dance a bachata to Bach?

Bachata sounds like a dessert, doesn't it?
-
Tonight we plan to watch The Fall Guy.
-
For he's a jolly good felon,
Which nobody can deny.
-
Finally back from a funeral and a get-together afterwards.
-
On This Day in 1859, the Great Clock at the top of Elizabeth Tower at the north end of the British Houses of Parliament began keeping time.
-
Must catch up on a few things now.
-
I'm getting an error message again when trying to attach a photo.
-
Gremlins.
-
Hope your day wasn't too taxing, BK.
-
Good night, friends.
-
The service was lovely - about 100 people in attendance, maybe a bit less than that. I got teary-eyed at a couple of the speeches, especially daughter Vicky and son Greg, and the wonderful Howard Green from Disney was very emotional. But there were a lot of laughs, too, and that's what I know Richard would have loved. Closed casket, thank the Lord.
-
The service lasted an hour and the rabbi was terrific.
-
Then we all walked to the grave sight and said the Kaddish and they released forty doves. I wasn't about to shovel dirt on someone I loved, so I pretty much vamoosed when that began happening.
-
The drive there wasn't too terrible. I got there about one and found great parking, then just waited until about 1:20 to walk to the chapel.
-
Interestingly, the only other time I've been to Hillside was for both my parents' funerals. I have no idea where their graves are, however.
-
I really hate going to funerals - being around way too much death for me.
-
But I had to do this one - there was no way I could not go and I'm glad I did.
-
The one bad thing was that I forgot to take the cash and Chapstick out of my jeans and transfer it to my slacks. I am a well known Chapstick addict and it was really difficult not having it.
-
On the way to the party at Richard's house, Google maps took me on a completely crazy route, but when I finally figured out where I was, which was Ince Street in Culver City - the street that houses The Culver Studios, where we shot The Creature Wasn't Nice.
-
From there, I navigated over to Robertson then to my old Beverlywood house and Beverly Drive. I stopped at the bank to get cash for the valet tip, then finally got to the party.
-
I had a small sandwich for food and chatted to the people I knew and gave Elizabeth a kiss and told her I loved her.
-
Richard's daughter Vicky said to me, "You were his best friend and he loved you so much." That got me all teary-eyed again.
-
Apparently, his stay at the hospital for ten weeks was horrible - they found a tumor on his vocal chords and had to do a tracheotomy - that was toward the end and I think that's why he let go.
-
Must eat something else and then do stuff.
-

You clearly brought so much to his life.

Post-funeral vibes for BK. I have several cousins at Hillside but no close relatives.
-
Yes, I'm really at my college reunion. Tonight was Tech Night at the Pops which is always a highlight for me. Symphony Hall is so incredible and Keith Lockhart continues to do a fine job.
-
136,000!! :D

Page six - again?
-
Guess I should write some notes.
-
Tonight, we played Phase 10 at my mom's.
-
My friend Shelly played, and she'll probably become a regular player with us.
-
My niece stayed home, so there were still only five of us: me, Shelly, my mom, Mona, and Dee who is Mona's friend and former neighbor.
-
Dee won the first game, and my mom won the second game. :)
-
We had much to nosh on, so we did.
-
;D
-
Shelly brought a purchased cheese, salami and olives container.
-
My mom is the only one who likes olives, so she was happy.
-
We also had popcorn, two different kinds of crackers, tangerines, and carrot cake sandwich cookies with frosting in the middle.
-
Those carrot cake sandwich cookies were really good!
-
We all had a good time and will get together again next Friday. :)
-
And now...
-
...since we're so close...
-
s e v e n ! ! ! ! ! !
-
I do not care for page seven and I especially do not care for almost no postings on page seven.
-
But there is nothing to be done because George has left the room and is eating a carrot and some cake or a burrito.
-
He just up and disappeared.
-
Vanished into thin air.
-
Can you vanish into fat air?
-
Just asking.
-
Asking just.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And George has vanished into either thin or fat air.
-
Think pink.
-
I'm thinking burnt sienna.
-
I'm thinking Vaughan Williams.
-
I'm thinking of a sweet that I don't have here.
-
And that's a good thing.
