Well, you've read the notes, the notes went down the rabbit hole, and now it is time for you to post until the rabbit hole cows come home - they've currently gone down the cow hole.

And the word of the day is: DEFERENCE!

Nice.

I had a lively walk this morning in Lisbon. Soon we will be leaving our hotel and heading over to our ship.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
CONGRATULATIONS, DR George, on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!

Who decides these things?
-
Which of these things is not like the others?
-
Golly, singdaw, I just don't see anything odd other than three rather overfed cats to the right.
-
It is once again Friday in the CSRA.
This time last week, I was scurrying around trying to get myself ready to drive to North Carolina.
It wears me out just thinking about it.
-
I am almost completely recovered from that trip, however.
I may even wash some clothes or do some dusting or bag some trash...at some point during the day.
If I am lucky, I can accomplish all of those things. If I don't keel over from exhaustion.
We 75-year-olds are resilient but we love our comfort zones, too.
-
I need to hie me hence to a produce stand and buy some fresh maters and other delectations.
I love this time of year when "fresh" is the ticket to good eating.
-
You can't go wrong with maters and taters.
-
Good morning
-
I had a wonderful time at the conversation between Chris Stein and Debbie Harry
-
:)
-
I missed all but the last few minutes of the debate which I heard on NPR on the car radio on the way home .
-
But I’m voting on policy not voice quality so …
-
Congratulations to Our beloved George on his new lofty post count!

The gas warning light came on as I was pulling into the driveway so I must get going as I’ll need to get gas before work

Good morning, all!

I was with MSNBC till nearly midnight, so the cats and I slept in this morning. I would have liked to sleep longer but by 7:00 I was feeling guilty.
-
I'm with DR vixmom about my vote, but I detest, abominate, and loathe Donald Trump - serial liar, rapist, con artist, cheat, fraud, and perv - I would vote for Lassie over him. The most irritating part of ther debate? The continuous stream of lies from the sonofabitch.
-
To celebrate July 4, I think a sky rocket should be stuck up Trump's fat ass and he be shot into space.
-
Today, I have no plans to leave the apartment. I have a case of Bounty paper towels to put away for tpoday's project. Before thjat, I'm praying I will find no cat's gift on thje bathroom floor. The two movies I want to watch this weekend are Judgment at Nuremberg and Hamlet at Elsinore, something I've wanted to see for years.

BK, those clips are wonderful!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have read the notes and will be watching the clips in a little bit.
-
Rye toast and coffee are what's happening.
-
DR JRand:
I found your FB announcement of your play reading very interesting. I started to sign up but soon realized it's not an online event. I wish you great success.
I am certain it will be a hit.
-
We've got great weather today and tomorrow, and it's about time I got my ASS back outdoors to do a little work.
-
I don’t know if I ever learned what the CSRA is.
-
But I’m voting on policy not voice quality so …
I donated a bit of money after the debate to reiterate this point, but I knew watching would make me uncomfortable so I avoided it.
-
I've now seen a couple of clips, but I couldn't watch it.
-
But I just watched BK's clips, and those are great.
-
I don’t know if I ever learned what the CSRA is.
Sorry, Rodz. It's the Central Savannah River Area. All our newscasters use it as a catchall for large swaths of the South Carolina-Georgia viewing audience. We are in the area of the Savannah River, of course, and I guess it beats naming all the towns that might be impacted by something that affects the entire region.

Ditto.

Some folks I know on FB are also known by me to be Trump supporters.
This morning, they are attempting to be middle-of-the-roaders by acknowledging Trump's gas-bag bluster and phony appearance, but they continue to claim the country was better off under his presidency.
I simply don't know why anyone ever thinks this. What on earth was better under his presidency?

As soon as Joe spoke, I knew we were in deep doodoo. The rest of the night was like watching a really bad accident.

At this time four years ago we were using refrigerated trucks as morgues.

I want to read Peter Gennaro's daughter's book.
-
DR Jrand73, I've been reading yopur posts for the last week and laughing like a wild thing. Who cast your leading lady? You? the director?
-
If I'm remembering things right, the leading lady is the director's daughter.

Congratulations to George on your new millstone!

In the mid-1970s there was a pre-Encores attempt at Town Hall. The three shows were Knickerbocker Holiday, The Golden Apple, and She Loves Me, which starred Madeline Kahn, Barry Bostwick, and Rita Moreno.
Madeline also played Cunegonde in the 1968 Bernstein birthday concert of Candide.

Congrats to DR GEORGE on his impressive millstone.

Sailing on the high seas vibes for DR JANE.

Yes DR ELMORE the leading lady is indeed the daughter of the director.....

DR RON PULLIAM thanks.....the artistic director says that the actors aren't miked and so any attempt at a ZOOM or LIVE FEED is always disappointing....so there you are.

I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep. Up around eleven-thirty and had e-mails to deal with and then book cover stuff to deal with. That's the hang-up - the book cover file is so old the printer doesn't use that kind of file anymore - why they didn't change it five years ago when they had to redo the interior is anyone's guess. It's on the fast track but it's a slow fast track. My gal got someone to oversee it and I sent them a complete set of fixes to do. I also offered that WE could do it and it would probably be much faster that way - waiting to hear back about that. But it will be nice to have the spine match my other books, and to fix the inept layout of the flaps on the dust jacket and the blurbs on the back cover. I sent them all that stuff in a Word doc, so they could just nuke the bad stuff and cut and paste in the new versions. If they want us to do it, all we need is a high-res file of the cover only.
-
That's pretty much what I've been doing for the past three hours and now I must shave and shower and get ready for the phone meetings at four-fifteen.

I applied for a promotion at work, and just learned that I got it. I will be staying within my work group, just with added responsibilities.

Good night, all.

Here's the finished dish:
-
Back from the VERY long screenplay reading - took all three hours he had scheduled - for a 107 page script.
-
Doug and I went to the Boneyard Bistro after, since they're open until eleven on the weekend nights. I had the pulled pork sandwich - I'd had it once before when the jernt first opened, but I didn't remember if it was great or not - well, it was the best pulled pork sandwich EVER. Sauce was amazing, coleslaw was amazing and they added pickles and onion to it and that was the icing on the cake. I had the potato salad as my side - didn't love that but know for next time to have the coleslaw and just dump a bunch of the sauce in there.

We met (I had never met him before), ate (the same, but a new batch of, rice and tofu curry/curried tofu that I had at my mom's last weekend), chatted, and played Phase 10.
-
Tomorrow is Olympia's Pride Festival, but they're going to Seattle for a couple of days.
-
Then I think after that, they're going to the beach for a couple of days, then they'll come back by the time his parents come back from either Yellowstone or Yosemite.

I’m ushering for George Thoroughgood (sp) and the Destroyers tonight. Robert Cray is the opener. Night of blues music. I got the area with least access to the theater and I am okay with that.
Bad to the Bone!
Delaware’s own!
I remember when we moved to Delaware, George’s boyhood home was for sale. We did not move into it.
-
My niece and my sister were there, too, but my sister's boyfriend didn't come.
-
My niece Hilary left before our game of Phase 10 was over (Thomas won!), and afterward, I drove my sister home since my niece took my sister's car.

Oh my gosh, Vixmom, what a terrifying tragedy. Hope the injured recover. How in the heck does someone drive that recklessly?

Congratulations to Singdaw!!

A Racquet VHS??? I did not know that existed!

I can’t find BK depicted on the cover cartoon.

No, he's not.
-
Another VHS tape that I found was the first (I think) episode of Antiques Roadshow that was filmed in Seattle.
-
I recorded this from TV...it wasn't a purchased tape.
-
I just fast-forwarded to the end of the episode and it was from 2003.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
If I remember correctly, when they first started, Antiques Roadshow filmed in a few cities, but made three one-hour episodes per city.
