Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sleepy, and now it is time for you to post until the sleepy cows come home.

Love the posters and set-up, DR George.

Reading DR vixmom's subway story and thinking of Charlie on the MTA.

No, he never returned.

Good morning, friends.

Odd assortment.

Who decides these things?

Photos of DR Jane in Portugal are starting to surface on FB.

-
Good morning, all!
-
The alarm rang at 6:30, but I was so tired I cuddled with Thatch and Stella for 15 minutes before I had any eneregy to move. I had a really, really, really bad night of sleep, and I will most likely spend most of the day after kitty cleanup lying down with the cats.
-
As soon as I walked into the bathroom this morning, I could see the litter box looked as bad as I felt, so instead of waiting to clean it after breakfast, I cleaned it then and there. That will please Annabelle, who complains loudly and long if I take my time getting to it as she waits to use it.
-
DR vixmom, you should have waited for a stop like 14th Street, where you can walk up the stairs and cross over top the other side instead of wasting another fare by going up to the street, cropssing it, and then entering the subway again. I once made the same mistake you did at 57th Street and ended up on the A train, not the C.
As I watched all my stops fly by on the train's way to Harlem, I kep[t thinking, did I just join Rod Serloing in the Twilight Zone?

BK, I agree with you completely on the current Biden brouhaha. While I was disappointed in his debate performance, I wasn't going to throw him to the wolves. As to the media, they could have stopped Trump in 2016, but they were too busy laughing at the clown facade of a seriously screwed up and nasty sociopath.
What I find mostly frightening is how many stupid redneck, white trash supporters believe the lies from a rapist who cheated on his wives, taxes, and business practices and believe he won't cheat on them as well.
-
Love the posters and set-up, DR George.
Yes, that was totally fabulous in last night's comments!
-
Today we have the New York Gay Pride march and subsequent events. I marched from 1980 to 1997, first with the marching band, then with the chorus. I leave that to the youngsters now.
-
vixmom, so sorry to hear of your travel problems from last night!
-
Since I don't think I got more than five hours of sleep last night, I will spend the day, until I take my bath, lazing and dozing with the kitties. After cleanup, I've got some computer cleanup. Yesterday, two of my email subfolders under the "Annabelle and Thatch" folders vanished. I searched like crazy under the folders arond them, but I cannot locate them. Curiously, when I did an advanced search, everything came up, only the computer won't tell me where they are now located!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I had a VERY late night last night. Fortunately, the sleep was pretty solid, and I managed to get at least six hours in, all told. It's sad, how infrequently I actually get more than five or six hours these days.
-
So today is finally Sunday, after my false Saturday and the real Saturday. Could I have a couple more, please, before the new week and new month begin?
New month?? Oy!
-
Since an extra post is always an extra post towards getting beyond page 7 - Here's another in my Sondheim parody-themed "shilling for YouTube views" - a Gay Pride Parade Day edition
BK had gotten an OK to give me Mr. Sondheim's direct email address, and this this 2009 parody was the first of a series of videos from 2009 to 2013 where Mr. Sondheim took time to look at the parodies before they were recorded and even gave some helpful notes.
I was especially thrilled as a writer, parodist and gay person when Michael Musto posted a Village Voice article that discussed this video, and even tagged the article with the keyword "GAAAAAYYYYYY" -

FWIW, and that's probably not much:
A news item I read yesterday said that a poll taken after the debate showed Biden moving up one point against Trump from a previous poll.
If anyone saw the Bill Maher debacle, he and several guests were talking about how badly the Democratic party needs to replace Biden as soon as possible as a candidate. They were talking about Gavin Newsom. As much as I admire Newsom and see him as a potential candidate "some day", Maher and guests were rats on a ship that isn't yet sinking.

Are you talking about the Bill Maher episode where Tulsi Gabbard and Chris Matthews were the guests?
I found that whole episode rather (to use a kind word) disturbing. And I don't often feel that way about Bill Maher's show.

Happy last day of June to everyone. The new episode of the Broadway Radio Show is up for your listening pleasure and it's called Breaking News: Journalists in Musicals as we take a look at how reporters, gossip columnists, editors, publishers, etc are depicted in musicals...inspired by the recent release of the cast recording of the Off-Broadway musical The Connector!

I stopped at the clerks booth and told her what I had done. Since I have a senior subway pass there’s a limit on how many times I can swipe it within a certain period of time.
She told me to wave once I got to the back gate on the other side and she buzzed me in

Great picture, Jack!
-
George I love your posters and your fun idea for hanging the backwards one
-
I got home about 245 am and went directly to bed
-
I did not pass GO or collect $200
-
Then I woke up at 7, showered, dressed and went to church
-
I was at church just before 8 am, set everything up for the service, including a baptism today.
-
Then I pulled out the ironing board and iron and I ironed 2 dozen linens I had previously laundered and brought along with me
-
Whew! All done by 845
-
But the church was still empty except for the AV guy, the organist the Pastor and me...
-
For a 9 am.service?
-
With a baptism?!
-
That's when it hit me...today was the first day of our summer schedule , instead of a 9 am and 1030 we just have 1 service at 945
-
I could have gotten another hour of sleep
-
By 930 the church was full.
-
The grandmother of the child to be baptized was someone I had known in Luther League ( our teen youth group) , who I haven’t seen in years
-
The parents of the child were her son, and his husband
-
They adopted a little African American girl
-

Made it to episode four of The Underground Railroad. It's not easy going. But it's well made. Head's up: The first episode was exceptionally hard to watch.

Congratulations on the great reading success, DR Jrand73!

Sunday afternoon greetings! I’ve sliced and sugared the strawberries, baked the shortcakes, and helped Richard hang 8 pictures in our shared study/library.
-
DR JRand, congratulations on last night’s success! I seriously considered making a day trip to attend, but figured it would end later than we wanted to begin a 2-3 hour drive home. Unlike DR Vixmom, we’re too old to be out late at night!

Thrifted an LP record of songs from The Happiest Millionaire by the Living Voices on RCA-Camden. Should be a pleasant listen.
-
Recorded at Webster Hall, NYC. About 40 years later I would see hardcore punk band Bad Religion performing live in that same space. Crazy world.
-
Living Voices Arranged and conducted by Bob Armstrong. Not a name I recall seeing before.

Hmm, imagining a hardcore punk band performing songs from The Happiest Millionaire

I didn't nap, but cuddled with both Stella and Thatch while we watched America's Test Kitchens and Lidia Bastianich. Then I took my bath and gave Thatch and Stella their dinner. Annabelle refuses to leave her bed to join them She prefers to wake at 4:00 and then bitch because she's starving. Such a diva!
-
Why is there no movie about Ethel Gabriel?
-
Speaking of Lidia Bastianich, I would love to go to her restaurant.
-
Due to context, I read that as America’s Test Kittens.
-
Why is there no movie about Ethel Gabriel?
Would it be enough to have Ethel sing "Blow, Gabriel, Blow"

Page seven? I do not care for page seven.
-
In case anyone was wondering.
-
And where did George disappear to?
-
The ether?
-
Stuffing his face with free tacos?
-
Visiting a juice bar.
-
Eating frijoles muerte?
-
Having a milk shake?
-
And then, YouTube recommended this for me
Lucy teaches Ethel Merman to sing like Ethel Merman
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu1vAQiYoEU
I've seen that before and it's never not funny!!
-
Shaking some milk?
-
And where did George disappear to?
Ketuchuping on posts.
-
Dining on walnuts at Walmart?
-
Oh, there he is.
-
He must have been using the think system on food.
-
Nice photos from DR George.
Thanks, Jane!
-
I, myself, only had Popeye's at two and then an Eyetalian cherry ice later.
-
Ice is nice.
-
But this ice had a strange after-taste.
-
I mention that in the notes, the strange after-taste.
-
Gratuitous Post #201!!
-
Actually, the notes have a strange after-taste.
-
He must have been using the think system on food.
Nope. Today, my friends Margo and Shelly and I went to the local Tugboat Annie's (https://tugboatannies.com/).
-
Never heard of Tugboat Annie's - I think Marjorie Main played Tugboat Annie?
-
Or was that Little Orphan Annie?
-
That would be great casting, actually - Marjorie Main as Little Orphan Annie in Annie.
-
I'd see that.
-
Never heard of Tugboat Annie's - I think Marjorie Main played Tugboat Annie?
I'm sure that they got the name from the movie.
-
Should I shave tonight and get it over with?
-
Margo had the fish and chips and enjoyed her food, but Shelly had the crab cakes and wasn't impressed. She thought that there was some kind of flavor that she wasn't used to. They weren't "bad," just not right.
-
I'm thinking I should.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
I had the blackened chicken burger and I added bacon. It was quite delish and I enjoyed every bite. :D
-
And they had Pepsi products, so we all had diet Pepsi.
-
We sat and chatted for just about two hours and had a grand time.
-
I want the Ethel Merman punk album. She could duet from beyond with Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys and Bathtubs Over Broadway.
I'd buy that! ;D
-
How can tomorrow be July already?
I know! Who'da thunk it??
-
Didn't Effie in "Dreamgirls" sing "July! July! I've never been so thin."
Funny!! ;D
