Well, you've read the notes, the notes danced in various States, and now it is time for you to post until the dancing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day: FEINSCHMECKER!
-
First post after BK!
That hasn't happened for me in a long while.

Good morning, all!

I’m very hungry this morning , I rarely have breakfast before work, but perhaps I may today

First a Wordle

Yesterday's therapy session involved much pulling and stretching. It was quite painful but necessary. Still, no amount of painkillers in my arsenal could help. I slept fitfully until a little past 4:00. After than I lay awake for two hours, primarily having anxiety attacks about Trump getting elected and fervent wishes that he would be assassinated soon as possible. Annabelle and Thatch kept me company. At 6:00, I decided to get out of bed and get dressed.

I was happy to see President Biden's address last night about the SCOTUS ruling, but he did make it clear that he is all about moderation and adhering to the Constitution.
But, as with Larry and Bruce, I also would like to see an "official act" of protecting Democracy and our Constitution. He could have Trump arrested, depose the justices who basically overruled the Constitution and lay the groundwork for restoring faith in our country.
I wonder if anyone on the MAGA side, which is obviously thoroughly delighted and celebrating, has ever considered that Biden can now do whatever he needs to do to put an end to their aspirations?
Biden likely would never do that, but something sane needs to be done.

I welcome Tuesday, July 2nd, with a bit of torpor. I am very much tired of the weather being so hot and humid that it cannot be enjoyed for more than a few minutes.
I was spoiled by the trip last weekend, let me tell you! Even though the journey was tedious, the arrival and stay were a joy. I need more of that in my life.
Am very much looking forward to my trip in September when I return to Mars Hill University for its Theater Alumni Weekend. A special performance of "The Belle of Amherst" will be presented, and there will be a lot of trips down memory lane for all of us.
-
And, since DR springpaw hasn't yet posted, let me wish you all a Happy UFO Day. That is Google's offering this day.

If you're in Illinois, can you shuffle off to Buffalo or is their shuffle exclusively an in-state maneuver?

Watching the extras on Paris Is Burning. There's an episode of The Joan Rivers Show devoted to the film. It's interesting because Rivers is so good and empathetic. All of the extras are good

The social worker arrived much later than expected and I was not amused. I'm not sure if I felt her visit did any good or not. There's been no word about the occupational therapist showing up.

New Benjamin Kritzer flaps, spine, and back cover are approved and off the printer we do. I wasn't intending to fix the lousy flaps and back cover and spine, but once they said they had to redo the files, why not? Now the whole thing looks like an actual book. Hoo and ray.
-
No groaning.
That one made me really laugh!

So, my niece's aunt came home this morning and is doing much better. Thanks for the vibes for her! I think she has an appointment with her regular doctor, so she'll be improving soon. :)

Robert Towne has died. Chinatown and Shampoo were among his scripts.

LUCKY #80

Following up on the important news -
Who knew there was actually some dietary "drama" behind the very long and lingering introductory shirtless scene for the new vicar in GRANTCHESTER?
https://tvline.com/interviews/grantchester-rishi-nair-new-vicar-alphy-shirtless-scene-secrets-1235272878/
"Was Alphy being shirtless and flirting at a pond eight minutes into your first episode something you expected?
It was in the script, but I didn’t get the scripts until quite late. And I had just gone on holiday and, like, completely indulged and ate whatever I want. And then I came back and I remember having a meeting with the producers, and they were like, “We’ve got this scene, and it’s a shirtless scene,” and I was like, “Right, OK, cool.” Thinking I’m in an 18-week shoot, so maybe I’ve got six, seven weeks. “We’re filming it next week.” I was like, “What? You could have told me this before!” [Laughs]"
-
That's the reason we watch PBS.
-
;D
-
In cheerier news, Rudy Giuliani has been disbarred in New York.
-
In an otherwise sobering news day.
-
Page three is sobering.

Oh, shucky-darn! ;D

Towne apparently worked on the Marathon Man script as well as The Godfather.
-
Now finishing Days of Wine and Roses. Brutal, exhausting, excellent.
-
Towne apparently worked on the Marathon Man script as well as The Godfather.
I hadn't known that.
-
Twice as upset as in Towne?
-
[almost a Sondheim reference]
-
Didn't realize there were two versions of Strangers on a Train. So I am going to start the Hollywood version now. Something lighter, like murder.
-
I had a dentist appointment right after work today
-
The radiation continues to destroy my teeth from.the inside
-
You sure do keep busy, DR vixmom.
-
Sorry about that situation.
-
Are you Guy Haines?
Early line of dialogue..
-
The dentist says I need to have two more teeth removed
-
I think cancer survivors should get free dental care for life.
-
He says they can be replaced with implants
-
He's putting together "an action plan" He wants to discuss in two weeks
-
The bone structure supporting the teeth is probably compromised, as well. :-X
-
It isn't fair.
-
I suspect it will far beyond my financial reach
-
The bone structure supporting the teeth is probably compromised, as well. :-X
Thats my concern
I already have no molars at all on the left side of my mouth because after two removal it was determined there was insufficient bone mass in my jaw to support the implant screws
-
I might just do nothing until the teeth actually self distruct
-
So I may become a toothless old crone
-
I suspect it will far beyond my financial reach
Does medicare help with that?
-
I might just do nothing until the teeth actually self distruct
So sorry about your going through that, vixmom.
-
Still i have absolutely no regret about the treatment, better a toothless old crone than a youngish corpse with great teeth
-
I suspect it will far beyond my financial reach
Does medicare help with that?
Im still working as is Vixdad so we're currently on his health care insurance, we are signed up for Medicare but don't pay premiums yet or receive benefits
-
We're in sniffin' distance of page five.
-
I doubt medicare would pay for implants though
-
I can see it from my backyard.
-
PAGE FIVE
-
A little better than page three.
-
But not page nineteen.
-
We could do another bad joke festival.
-
But there's no groaning allowed.
-
Or a loud.
-
I can never remember which.
-
There's just tomorrow, and then a holiday.
-
I still have to do the kitchen dishes, then I'm heading to bed.
-
Good night, friends.
-
But there's no groaning allowed.
I believe an addendum was passed to allow for groaning-level jokes if we're too far from page 8. I may have read about that somewhere.
-
My plan has always been to work until I was 70 and then start collecting SS and medicare
-
I hope they're still there when I need them
-
I am absolutely terrified about what November will bring
-
The magamorons will vote for their guy even he stood in an elementary school auditorium and mowed down all the students with a machine gun
-
There's way too many Dems who are actively torpedoing the guy with a sore throat.
-
It's going to be 2016 again because of "good intentions"
-
Well that was cheery
-
Sorry guys
-
And ladies
-
If you're in Illinois, can you shuffle off to Buffalo or is their shuffle exclusively an in-state maneuver?
Where do people from Buffalo shuffle off to?
Schenectady?
-
DR JANE did you go to Bill's Beer House?
Nobody goes there any more, it's very bourgeois.
Surely not...not with as classy a name as that!!?
-
No groaning.
Too late. You needed to warn us ahead of time.
-
In cheerier news, Rudy Giuliani has been disbarred in New York.
Does that mean his ballet days are done?
-
Today was okay. Nothing major happened.
The Triangle had pork chops for lunch. It was very good with the green beans and mac and cheese I had with my two chops.
I may have said this before, but they make the best mac and cheese I have found locally.
-
i have recorded, but not yet watched any of, Rachel Maddow's two-hour interview with Stormy Daniels.
Instead, I watched "Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" followed by "Beyond Skinwalker Ranch".
I know they are investigating real, actual and scientifically proven anomalies, and I share their frustrations that they don't seem to make much headway in finding out what causes them.
I did a lot of yelling and cursing at my TV in both episodes because they spend more time yakking and speculating about what their data gathering "might" yield after analysis than they do actually looking at the results of the analysis.
It's a popular series, and the guys at the ranch are also popular. So much so, that they have been giving a security guy and a ranch manager some solo commentary segments discussing scientific things they have no knowledge of other than what they have heard the actual scientists say. That means we hear the same things said over a couple of times as if hearing them from the security guy and the ranch manager gives the information more credence than hearing the scientists say it.
But it entertains me one night a week, and I enjoy the opportunity to yell and cuss at something other than Trump in those moments when he's unavoidably quoted on MSNBC news programs.
-
Well, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
-
I shared this clip with DR JRand earlier today.
I think it's hilarious, but you have to watch it to the end. :D

-
We are perilously close to page 6.
-
All I really need to say now is "Good night".
-
"Sleep tight. Don't let the bedbugs bite!"
-
Six!
-
I loved the American or Hollywood version of Strangers on a Train. Hitchcock didn’t like movie, didn’t care for Farley Granger or Ruth Roman in it. But it remains one of my top five of his movies. So many great scenes and touches that are pure Hitchcock.
-
My plants are watered. It’s time to sleep.
-
And I hope there is actual sleep tonight
-
Good night, all.
-
Page six???
-
Many vibes to George that things keep improving.
-
Speaking of improving, I watched NOTHING.
-
Ask me why.
-
I have no answer.
-
I have no answer so - don't ask me why?
-
We're not even very far on page six.
-
I suppose people are having their late-in-life late-night foods.
-
I'm sure of it.
-
I suppose I should write some damn notes, that's what I suppose.
-
Hopefully, whilst I'm doing exactly that, someone will show up and make with the posts.
-
The radiation continues to destroy my teeth from.the inside
:(
-

Oh, no!
-
I think cancer survivors should get free dental care for life.
Agreed!!
-
Still i have absolutely no regret about the treatment, better a toothless old crone than a youngish corpse with great teeth
That is the trade-off. ;)
-

That's too bad.
-
I hope they're still there when I need them
So do I. :-\

That was pretty funny!
-
"Sleep tight. Don't let the bedbugs bite!"
"And if they do, just take your shoe
And knock them black and blue!"
-
"But don't hurt Oscar 'cause he's new!"
-
That's how I learned it as a kid.

-
Many vibes to George that things keep improving.
Thanks, BK.
-
This morning, I posted what I'd learned so far, but there hasn't been any update since.
-
I'm going to go on the premise that no news is good news. :)
-
Hopefully, whilst I'm doing exactly that, someone will show up and make with the posts.
I have been posting!
-
As for food, today, my friend Shelly and I went to Red Wagon Burgers (https://www.redwagontumwater.com/), and I got the Chicken Teriyaki Burger.
-
It was its usual quite tasty self!
-
I didn't have anything else until later this evening, I drove through McDonald's and got a Big Mac and a diet Coke.
-
That also was pretty good.
-
Just before the McDonald's run, my sister asked if I could go shopping for her and get some foodstuffs for the 4th of July gathering that she's going to host for the German family members who will all be here at the same time.
-
I said, "Sure. I was planning on going to Fred Meyer, anyway."
-
So, she texted me what she wanted from Costco, and I went there.
-
I only found about half of what she wanted, but since the 4th is a couple of days away, there's time for me to go shopping tomorrow...as busy as I know it will be. ::)
-
After delivering what I got at Costco, I went to Fred Meyer for the stuff I wanted, and only found two-thirds of what I wanted to get.
-
Since I only wanted three things and only got two, it was easy to figure that I only got two-thirds of them. ;)
-
I needed double-A batteries, a nightlight light bulb, and a battery for a watch ring (or ring watch).
-
I don't remember when, where, or how I got it, but I know I've had it for quite a few years.
-
Anyway, here's a pucture:
-
I found it (again) when going through boxes of stuff. :)
-
Pretty cool, huh?
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
Here it is on my hand to get a proper perspective:
-
If you look closely at both pictures, you'll see that the "rubies" and "diamonds" around the watch face are in different positions.
-
They're free-floating.
-
This morning, I posted what I'd learned so far, but there hasn't been any update since.
It seemed like good news.
-
DR Vixmom I am sorry about your teeth, but very glad that you are still here with us.

Do to the weather conditions we could not tender to our planned port today and are spending the day at sea instead.

I've never actually worn it...I've just had it.
