Well, you've read the notes, the notes were unforeseen and had circumstances, and now it is time for you to post until the unforeseen cows come home.

I hope there are photos of the protest that kept us from going to shore today.
-
Good morning, all!
-
My dreams last night were all about dead family members. In my first dream, I was at some sort of family reunion of my mother's family. My Aunts Dorothy and Ruth had cooked dishes, and I seemed to shuffle between several chairs at the table. My second dream had something to do with visiting my mother's sister Jean in her house on Hamilton-Mason Road in Hamilton, Ohio. My father was in my last dreamI have no idea what it was about.
-
I have no plans for today. After kitty cleanup, I think I'll laze aboput with the cats.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Slept fitfully. Some dreams, but I don't remember them.

Congratulations, Jane, on your new millstone!

I loathed the first Gremlins. There was no way I was going to watch the sequel.
I really liked the New York-based plot, and the comedy, of the sequel. A rare situation of a sequel that I preferred to the original movie.
Wikipedia reminded me that Leonard Maltin didn't like the first Gremlins at all, but actually appeared in the sequel.
-
From Wikipedia on GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH
"Leonard Maltin, movie critic for Entertainment Tonight, had given a negative review to the first Gremlins film. While Dante was initially hurt by the review, he invited Maltin to film a cameo as the movie critic of a fictional Clamp Cable Network show, The Movie Police. Maltin gives a snide review for the video re-release of the first film along the lines of his original review before being assaulted by gremlins, pleading, "I was just kidding! It's a ten! A ten!"

I pulled a late one last night, and this morning I knew others would be up to feed the beast so I allowed myself to keep going back to sleep. Predictably and fittingly, the resulting dreams were long, crazy, and repetitive. And yet, immediately upon arising, I can't recall a single one.
-
Well, now I know what I'm serving at my next open house.

Yikes! 😱

The humidity here is insane. As were the storms last night and again this morning, and I'm sure later today. We shan't want to see the next air-conditioning bill.

"It's never blather if it adds to the HHW posting total" - I may have seen that on a sampler somewhere.

I saw an ad for an old radio for sale, but the knob is stuck on full volume.

When you're done with your Hitchcock survey, DR John G., I hope you'll list your top favorites.

This afternoon, we are traveling to visit friends who just acquired this little guy. His name is Mason.

Have you seen a sign like this in your travels, DR Jane?

Cutie.

Congrats to DR JANE on her millstone

Today two of my sisters and I will be at the Pathway to Crystals store from noon until five......$20 readings for all.....

I am finally going to read The Martian.
-
Good morning from hotter-than-hot Johnston SC.
Another heat advisory, in effect now through 8 p.m.
Getting VERY tired of baking-hot heat.
-
TOD:
I think "The Godfather II" is a masterpiece. Not as wild about the original.
My favorite Indiana Jones sequel is the third in the series: "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade".
At their time of release, I fully enjoyed the sequels to the original "Planet of the Apes" film, especially the one where the apes went back in time and surprised human earth.
There were two sequels to "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" I thought were splendid: "The Wrath of Khan" and "The Voyage Home".
And, while they weren't as brilliant as the original "The Thin Man", I thoroughly enjoy the five sequels!!!
-
But if you hum a few bars ...
Of "I Got Plenty of Mutton" maybe?
But...is mutton plenty for you?

Ron, I so agree on all of the Thin Man movies.
-
I'm watching a thriller that DR Iris loves, Tell No One. It's my third time through. It's kinda like Michael Clayton in that it doesn't matter how often I return, there's always something to entertain.
-
Spoo! I almost forgot...
FOUR!!!!
:D
-
TOD:
- Before Sunset
- Godfather II and III. I like the original best of the three, and I don't think III is the clunker many people think it is.
- Star Trek II and IV
- The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi

By amazing coincidence, the Hollywood Reporter (it seems in the last hour or so) released its article on

With so many follow-ups hitting screens this summer, here's a look back at the best continuations — films that surpassed their predecessor and moved their respective franchises forward."

I love the "Captain America" films. As for "Mad Max" I prefer "The Road Warrior" over all of 'em.

DR singdaw. is Dottie your dog? Have yopu ever mentioned her before?

Good morning.
-
Vixmom, give Jason a big sloppy kiss for Sandra and me.
-
Seeing Jason and Liz was the last time I saw DR Kerry.
-
DR singdaw. is Dottie your dog? Have yopu ever mentioned her before?
No, she belongs to my nephew-in-law. I only mentioned her malady in connection with our gathering on July 4th.
-
Hoping for good news in the next day or so.
-
I am finally going to read The Martian.
You haven't read it yet? It's a really good one!
Because of your recommendation we are reading it, and because Keith wanted to read it on this trip, and it was available to check out from the library I need to read it before the return date

Hello, everyone.
-
I’m taking a break from laundry and cleaning. There’s more — as always.
-
Last night, George wrote: "I do have quite a bit of laundry to do."
"Got a Lot of Laundry to Do" could be the title of something.
Maybe it already is.
Yes, my life.
-
Slow day at the bookstore.
But that's okay.
-
Jrand, do all of your siblings have psychic abilities?
-
I have no news, just slowly preparing for a move.
-
I’m ready for a nap.
Stay cool.
TTFN.

Good night, friends.
-
Jeanne, have you found a new place?
-
Home from dancing. I think I did too much.
-
"boy, for that kind of dough, I'd let you cut one of my legs off"
Dialogue in Detour, tonight's noir.
-
Good night, all.
-
Page five?
-
Cannot thrive on five.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Certainly not here.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Most definitely.
-
No question.
-
No doubt about it.
-
Most assuredly.
-
Donny Most.
-
I think I'll call dear reader Jeanne and give her a hard time.
-
Someone has to.
-
Page six is not very sporting.
-
I'm not getting my kicks on page six.
-
And yet, I am completely alone here.

-
My friend Margo actually loves to do laundry.
-
So, about 20 minutes ago, I got out from ushering for a local semi-professional production of Cabaret.
-
I'm really glad I got go see it tonight.
-
The aforementioned Margo had signed up to usher tonight, but her sister is visiting, and Margo knew that her sister would not want to sit through a three hour show.
-
I didn't realize that it would be that long, but I must tell you that it never felt that long.
-
I thought it was a wonderful production without a weird concept (or a copy of an existing concept ::) ) placed upon it.
-
They did the show and not the movie, although they used the movie version of "Money Makes the World Go 'Round," and the song (and scene?) "Meeskite" was not used.
-
Anyway, going back to Margo not ushering, one evening earlier this week, we were talking and she told me that she had just taken her name off the usher list.
-
I logged in right then and was able to snag tonight's usher spot.
-
I had only been able to sign up for two other slots because it filled so quickly, so I'll now be able to see it two more times, instead of just twice.
-
Chris, who played Cliff, played George in the Sunday in the Park with George that I was in last year.
-
Cliff is kind of like Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, the lead, but a kind of non-showy role, but Chris did a great job with it.
-
And now, I'm at McMenamins and I just had their Three Cheeseburger Sliders.
-
Quite delish...as usual! ;D
-
So, I just finished my Three Cheeseburger Sliders and will now head home. :)
-
I'm home and have been home for about a half hour.
-
Where is everyone...or anyone else??
-
I don't know if the family is getting together tomorrow for our quasi-weekly family get-together or not.
-
I guess I'll find out soon enough.
-
And if we do, I don't know if we'll go to my mom's or my sister's.
-
I'm sure I'll find that out at the same time.
-
What did I say about page six?
-
WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT SIX?
-
I said something about page six.
-
And why the HELL are we still on it?
-
I don't want to be on it.
-
On the other hand, I do not care for page seven.
-
George seems to have already left the room.
-
Not very sporting of him.
-
Not at all.
-
Not one whit.
-
Not even one Whit Bissell.
-
He just left, just like that.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And there's no one in the room to read them.
-
Not a single person.
-
Not a married person.
-
Not a nun.
-
Not a rabbi.
-
Not a priest.
-
No one.
-
George is probably having more sliders.
-
I don't remember if I ever had a slider.
-
I know I've slid.
