Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fighting vainly the old ennui, and now it is time for you to post until the fighting vainly cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MOGUL!

Good morning, friends.

Fighting the old on oui?

Who decides these things?

I'm not superstitious.
-
I'm just a little stitious.
-
Good morning
-
I’m not caught up
-
The show last night was very fun
-
We had snagged stage side seats
-
Oreo sushi:
-
What is it, not fish?
-
After the show we had an opportunity to chat with Jason at length.
-
I am so glad that you and WFO were able to be at that show, DR vixmom.
-
I did say “ hi” for you, DR Laura, but out of consideration for Jason did not convey your greetings in your suggested manner.
-
He sends his best.
-
We shared an elevator with Alex after the show and had a chat with him
-
We missed Liz who was chatting with some people send then disappeared
-
I must get to church.
-
The show last night was very fun
:)
-
So a quick ( I hope) wordle then I’m off
-
After the show we had an opportunity to chat with Jason at length.
Nice.
-
We had an excellent excursion today which inncluded a beautiful drive through charming French towns.
-
I'll let someone post a photo once Keith posts on Facebook. My favorite view is the one without either of us in the photo.

Good morning, all.
-
Good morning, all!
-
We all slept late. Thatch has decioded he wants a different sleeping position on the bed and it's making my life hell since he refuses to move. Annabelle has decidedandon her princess pillow to curl up next to me, and Stella prefers the floor to the mattress.
-
I need to do some tidying up today along with my leg stretches.
-
I can never decide which kind of cone to get.
-
Oreo sushi:
Oh my, that looks tasty, and surely would be tasty - as long as it tastes like cookies and doesn't taste like fish.
-
After the show we had an opportunity to chat with Jason at length.
How great!
-
I can never decide which kind of cone to get.
LOL!
-
George, thanks for your posts about ushering for CABARET last night. They were most enjoyable!
-
John G wrote last night: "Home from dancing. I think I did too much."
Hoping it turned out that it wasn't too much - that you feel well this morning, after a lot of dancing last night!
-
Nice photos.
-
DR JEANNE not as far as we can tell.
-
I have a meeting of the bored today.
Since my Windows 7 computer will not connect to my printer - I will have to write my Promotions Repor in long hand.
-
And because I can't use my scanner, I will have to type out some pages for FLOWERS so I can add some audition sides to the website.
There are NONE online anywhere, that I can find.
I may do one more look.......
-
Good morning, all.
-
I just got up!
I'm in this sleeping late cycle that has to stop. I've over-indulged this holiday weekend, but real life must resume tomorrow morn'.
-
I was going to go to the outdoor theeder tonight to see some friends' Beauty and the Beast, but there are two more weeks of it and my calendar is open, so I shall gamble on there being a better night for it. Besides, I need to have a quiet evening at home and get to sleep at a decent hour.
-
So, done deal. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
-
Sunday morning greetings! It’s a beautiful day in SW Ohio, but they’re saying we could get rainy hurricane remnants by midweek.

Happy Sunday! The latest Broadway Radio Show is now up and it's an episode called Women of Song as I look at the wave of women singer/songwriters who have recently made their marks on Broadway and London's West End from the worlds of pop, rock, country and folk music. Starting with Dolly Parton and Cyndi Lauper right up to this past season with Ingrid Michaelson and Shaina Taub. Lot's of great music...check it out!

On my way to the meeding.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Went to church this morning, came home and slept until now.
-
I got an inch of rain last night and Beryl isn't even here yet.
-
Trying to eat up some open food before Thursday 's trip.
-
Three!
-
Now watching a silly but effective noir called The Scar with Paul Heinried and Joan Bennett. She's definitely wearing Hedy Lamarr's old hair.

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep, up at nine.
-
Answered some e-mails and had a couple of telephonic conversations.
-
Then went to Gelson's and got some lox.
-
Came home and got some fresh bagels from Western Bagel.
-
Had some lox and bagel sandwiches - onion bagel - really good.

New ennui always beats old ennui.

Watching a documentary about the creation of the current home of the Metropolitan Opera and Lincoln Center. Leontyne Price figures prominently.
-
As she should.
-
We're almost up to the premier of Barber's Anthony and Cleopatra.
-
Which has subsequently been heavily revised.

John G is so close to the 92,000 millstone.
It might even happen today. Only eight posts away.
-
It will have to wait.
-
Almost time for dancing.
-
I liked the kind of O. Henry twist at the end of The Scar.
-
Has anyone read One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware?

That broadcast is from the early 1990s. I had it on VHS. I saw Malfitano star in Lucia di Lammermoor in 1978. She was wonderful, ending the mad scene falling down a flight of stairs. At the time, I thought Richard Cowan made a very hot Marc Antony in this broadcast.
-
Hot opera singers.....
-
Thanks for the clarification, DR elmore3003.
-
Hot opera singers.....
Maybe the expression should be that "it ain't over 'til the fit lady sings"
-
I went to church and came home
-
I became suddenly unwell
-
And spent a considerable amount of time dealing with the problem
-
Afterwards I felt drained, in every sense of the word, and went to sleep
-
Effectively losing the entire day
-
Sorry, DR vixmom. Hope you feel better soon.
-
Maybe the expression should be that "it ain't over 'til the fit lady sings"

:(
Are you feeling better now?
-
Good night, friends.
-
Feel-better vibes for Vixmom.
-
Home from dancing. Overdid it again.
-
There's some dancing in D. O.A., which I am now watching. It's laughable.
-
Ta-da!
-
More feel-better vibes for vixmom!
-
Ta-da!
Congratulations on your new millstone, John G!
-
Page four is rather ridic.
-
I sat on my couch around five-thirty or six. Woke up at eight, went to the bed, and now up at ten.
-
Ridic.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Certainly not here.
-
Perhaps they're there and everywhere.
-
Page five. Ridic.
-
We need some serious action.
-
Even some lighthearted action would be good.
-
Right now, we got no action.
-
Nada.
-
This is rather nauseating.
-
No George, no no one.
-
Just li'l ol' me.
-
Waiting to post the notes.
-
Where's George get to?
-
I hate to inform him, the holiday weekend is OVER. Work tomorrow.
-
And yet, he's off galavanting and being wild and reckless and stuffing his face with burritos.
-
What a revoltin' development this is.
-
Where's William Bendix when you need him?
-
Where's George when you need him.
-
Certainly not here.
-
That is painfully obvious and he WILL be held accountable.
-
Whenever he deigns to grace us with his late-night presence.
-
Page five is ridic.
-

Oh, no!

~~~Feel Better Quickly Vibes for Vixmom!!~~~
-
No George, no no one.
It was 91°F here in my bedroom just a couple of hours ago!
-
:o
-
It has now cooled down to a balmy 89.6°F.
-
::)
-
I have a little fan blowing air on me, and it helps.
-
I'll definitely be sleeping on top of the covers tonight, and probably for a few days this week.
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
Ta-da!
And here it is, John! Preserved for posterity! :D
-
Where's George get to?
I has arrived...finally. ;)
-
And yet, he's off galavanting and being wild and reckless and stuffing his face with burritos.
Not burritos today.
-
I went to my sister's today, thinking that it was going to be my family's quasi-weekly get-together, but it wasn't.
-
My mom came over to my sister's, and they (my mom, my sister and my niece) were there to play Scrabble.
-
I wasn't in the mood to play Scrabble, but I played anyway.
-
And while at my sister's, I had a couple of vegan hot dogs that were purchased for the recent barbecue, but never consumed, nor the package even opened.
-
I microwaved a couple of them and prepared my hot dog buns and then ate them.
-
They were okay...not horrible, but not great.
-
I think that they needed to be grilled on a barbecue or even pan-fried...something to make them better than just heating them up.
-
Then, we also had some leftover cherry pie.
-
That was quite tasty. :)
-
I then went to Costco and just looked around and ended up not buying anything.
-
I was thinking about going to Fred Meyer, but forgot and so I didn't.
-
I came home and have been trying to stay cool all evening. :P
-
I did do some laundry.
-
I washed my blankets and sheets that I normally use, so that's now done.
-
It took them a little while to cool down, but they're all cool enough now.
-
WHEW!!
-
Glad I don't have to sleep under covers that are much too warm on a day (week??) that's also much too warm!
-
Page six is ridic.
-
But better than page five.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And?
-
What?
-
I don't know.
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
So, another purchased VHS tape that I found that I'm recording to my DVD burner is a film of the play, As Is by William F. Hoffman, starring Robert Carradine and Jonathan Hadary.
-
I'll go shower and whilst I do I'll leave this open and change the topic when I return.
-
As Is (https://www.amazon.com/dp/6301651731/) is from 1986 and also stars Colleen Dewhurst.
-
This is the cover of the tape:
(https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51F90ZB8RGL._AC_.jpg)
-
I'm surprised that I'm finding purchased VHS tapes that aren't copy-guarded.
-
I wonder if it's just that they didn't bother with it, or if the technology hadn't been invented yet, or the production company didn't feel that certain titles needed it.
-
Whatever reason, I'm not sad that they're not copy-guarded. ;)
-
I'll have to look through my VHS tapes and see what else I might want to record onto DVD...assuming they're not actually available on DVD.
-
But even if they are, that doesn't mean that I'm going to repurchase DVDs that are available of every VHS that I have.
-
So far, the VHS tapes that I've recorded have all been in great condition and watching them, look like their practically new.
