Well, you've read the notes, the notes pointed out the trouble with Pepe, and now it is time for you to post until the troubled cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FOUNTAINHEAD!
-
Good morning.

Same as Keith who had nothing in the first row.
-
The Girl with a Pearl Earring is incredibly beautiful. I was rather emotional seeing her in person.
-
Vermeer's painting of Delft is also beautiful.
-
The two Vermeers were my favorite paintings in the museum.
-
The Rembrandt's were also fantastic.
-
Our plan was to go to Delft after the museum and walk around. It would have been a perfect stop after the Vermeer painting.
-
Alas, we only drove through Delft as it is pouring here.
-
Next stop Amsterdam.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well until 4:15 or so, and then spent the next two hours playing with the cats and pondering things from Trump fears to the Annabelle & Thatch book.
-
This is a physical therapy day I have much to accomplish before the therapist arrives.
-
BK, 20 years ago? In 1994 or 95, on one of my first trips to LA, you took me to a showing of Pepe. I remember nothing of the movie, only how thrilled you were with it.
-
Good morning
-
Tonight I have a ticket to see Judy Collins sing
-
Wow! That's great, DR vixmom.
-
You really know how to live, live live!
-
I just sit at home, mostly.
-
I used to do things.
-
But since the pandemic, not so much.
-
Love reading all about your trip, DR Jane. Thanks for sharing it with us.
-
I may have made a mistake planning to go to a show where I have to drive east on a Fridaynight in the summer
-
Oh, and good morning, friends.
-
I am sure to get caught in the horrific Hamptons traffic
-
Congratulations to Singdaw on a successful team building session
-
Guess I’ll wordle and wander workwards

Wow!
-
Oh, and good morning, friends.
Good morning, singdaw.
How wonderful to read of how well everything at work actually went for you yesterday! Hoping the wonderful memory of how it went will last, even after how you felt after it was over goes away.
-
Great to read in last night's posts about how Jrand's opening night last night went.
Congratulations, Jrand!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good night’s sleep.
-
Finally!
-
Thank you, DR Freddie.
-
Great to read in last night's posts about how Jrand's opening night last night went.
Congratulations, Jrand!
Indeed. DR Jrand73 emerged unscathed!
-
Perhaps even triumphant.
-
Good night’s sleep.
That's great, John!
-
Good morning, all.
-
The trouble with Pepe is that I've never seen it. To the best of my memory. Yes, let's have a restored release. Please.
Also to the best of my memory, I've only ever seen Cantinflas in Around the World.
-
I was about to post "Today is Friday" and tell of my coming exploits, and realized in so doing that BK made the TOD about something other than what's in your player, etc.
Well, I have little or nothing to post about that, so, on to my coming exploits.
Exploit No. 1: CVS for a couple of things.
Exploit No. 2: Shop Rite for a couple of things.
Exploit No. 3: Home Depot for a couple of things.
Exploit No. 4: Dry cleaner, to pick up a couple of things.
Exploit No. 5: Check out the Aldi store that's been in Danbury for at least a couple of years but I've never been to it in spite of vixmom's repeated exploits at her own Aldi which have had me interested so I'm just an idiot, I guess.

Love reading all about your trip, DR Jane. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you.

-
I will not be trying any.
-
We found a candy store with only American candy.
-
There was a store with t-shirts and hats ofAmeican baseball teams.
-
I may have made a mistake planning to go to a show where I have to drive east on a Fridaynight in the summer
Good luck.

DR CHAS SMITH don't forget to take your own bags to ALDI or you will have to buy some.
-
Page three.
-
Thanks DR FREDDIE. And performance #2 is tonight.
-
The Rembrandt's were also fantastic.
Sounds like a delightful museum visit, Jane. Thanks for sharing it here!
It was. The Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague.
-
Good night’s sleep.
Yay.

~~~MOST EXELLENT PERCOLATING VIBES & XYLOPHONES~~~ for unspecified things to happen, and soon, for BK!!!!
-
Great news JRand!
-
Great travels, Jane!
-
I knew you’d nail it, Singdaw!
-
Ah, those Candians.
Is this another HHW.com malaprop? "Candians"? Like "Repor"?
-
DR CHAS SMITH don't forget to take your own bags to ALDI or you will have to buy some.
Since it's National Paper Bag day, do you think they may expect paper ones?
-
A nice night of sleep with inconsequential dreams.
I had another phantom phone call this morning. It rang one time.
Today, I have a quarterly visit with Covenant Family Allergy. It should be inconsequential, as well, given that my meds seem to be working nicely for me.
I am in the middle of Season 2 of "Lost". Still blows me away how intense the show was and how well cast. Season 2 writing of some characters' back stories is a bit drawn out, but I can speed through those. One character grates my nerves, though...she is sweet one minute and hysterical the next. The character "Claire" played by Emilie De Ravin is excessively high-strung for my tastes. The actress is very affecting in many scenes, but her extremes are a different matter. If I didn't have a memory that those extremes dissipate over the season, I'd be speeding through a lot of it.
Michael Giacchino's score astonishes and astounds me.
-
Weather here today looks a bit iffy. While our high is projected to be 95, we are also due thunderstorms.
Nothing like a thunderstorm to cast a pall over a hot day.
-
Great travels, Jane!
Thanks.
-
DR Rodzinski we met someone on the cruise who fills his Gas tank in your town.
-
No way! Small world.
-
I wonder how that even came up in conversation.
-
Sad to learn of the death of Dave Loggins, whose Please Come to Boston my band used to cover to great reception.
-
He also wrote Three Dog Night’s slow-burner, Pieces of April.
-
In my car I have bags for Shop Rite, Stew Leonard's, Big Y, Target, Christmas Tree Shops (may they RIP), and maybe more. I wonder if ALDI has one of their own for sale. When I go into any of these stores I take the right bag, because - while others probably do it and the stores are probably used to it and don't give a good darn, I'm not one to carry a competitor's bag into a store.
Anyway, for ALDI today, I didn't plan on buying more than one or two things, I just want to walk around and see the store. So I'll plan on carrying my few goods out to the car without a bag if necessary, but I'll buy one of their branded ones if they have them.
-
Yes they have them at the register - or at least they used to.
I went to Walgreen's to spend my quarterly allowance from Humana.
I bought a couple of tubes of stick your partial to your gums paste, a box of clean your partials and make them Hollywood white, and a bottle of improve your brain/memory/congnition capsules....and I had "$$" left over. But it doesn't expire.
-
I wonder how that even came up in conversation.
;D. Talking g about the original Vancouver the pretty one and towns in WA near the Border.
-
Thank you DR Jrand. I told Keith the photo would make it here.
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten and a half hours of really good sleep - thank you Melatonin - with only a few trips to the ool to eep.
-
I didn't do the Friday thing because - wait for it - I thought today was Thursday! Screwy. This is what happens when she of the Evil Eye comes a day late.
-
Have fun tonight, DR vixmom! I love Judy Collins. I saw her live in 1969 or 70; it was timed with her "Wo knows where the time goes" album. When I was working at Barnes & Noble around 2004, she came into the store and I got a chance to thank her for being a major influence on my musical and political life.
I hope she sings the heartbreaking "My Father."
-
Congrats to Jrand on his opening - well, his opening night.
-
Had two tuna sandwiches on two bagels for food. Very good.
-
DR JANE at the Hague.
Terrific photo!
Are you two bagels on a plate full of onion rolls?
-
Ah, those Candians.
Is this another HHW.com malaprop? "Candians"? Like "Repor"?
It's a malprop, all right. But not an official or approved one.
-
One day to 97.
-
Now waiting in Louisville’s Central Park where tonight is featuring The Tempest, one of my favorites.
-
For dinner, I went to a Colombian food truck for a combo meal: a pork arepa, a beef and potato empanada and a chicken and potato empanada. Excellent stuff.
-
The pre-show tonight is something called Shakespeare Camp. I wish they had had such a thing when I was a kid.
-
One day to 97.
What a great photo!
-
Just watched five 5-year-old girls do “Double, double, toil and trouble” from Macbeth.
-
One day to 97.
Who knew?
-
Nu?
-
I didn't.
And now you don't, too.
Anyone here planning to watch any of the Olympics?
-
I like the men's diving and men's gymnastics, for obvious reasons.
-
One more.
PAGE FIVE
-
There ARE five there, but one is pretty well hidden.
-
I love Judy Collins. I saw her live in 1969 or 70; it was timed with her "Who knows where the time goes" album.
That title track is one my favorite tracks ever, by anyone. Sunlight and shade. But I like the original version, where the whole song is acoustic and stays in the same key, not the mash-up that is the more commonly found version:
I hope you enjoyed Judy's show! She's great and her version is great. But if we're talking original versions, I think we need to credit songwriter Sandy Denny singing it with Fairport Convention, even though Judy's version came out first:
Page FIVE?
-
Most unseemly.
-
I've always loved Judy Collins. I thought about trying to get her for Unsung Sondheim but he had a bad experience with her and let me tell you - he never forgot a bad experience. Same album, same story with Anna Maria Alberghetti.
-
Now, let's get some damn late-night denizens here to perk some things up.
-
Well, George never showed up and we're stuck on page five because of it.
-
I'm sure it was something VERY important.
-
Or he'll come waltzing in here at 12:01
-
Probably eating a burrito supreme.
-
Just unbelievable, really.
-
And really unbelievable.
-
And he WILL be held accountable.
-
Probably eating a Subway sandwich or perhaps an entire subway.
-
Who knows?
-
Certainly not I.
-
And he's not here to tell us.
-
He's gone, baby, gone.
-
Elsewhere.
-
In absentia.
-
Vamoosed.
-
Derelict of duty.
-
Page six is rather disgusting.
-
He has, in fact, been gone the entire evening.
-
It simply isn't done.
-
And yet, he dood it.
-
Blatantly.
-
Purposely.
-
Knowing the June Havoc it would cause in the universe.
-
One day to 97.
You're not the only one. ;)
Don't blame me! I'm not the only Hainsie or Kimlet in the world! ::)
-
I'm sure it was something VERY important.
Yes! I have family visiting from Germany.
-
Probably eating a burrito supreme.
Nope...Costco pepperoni pizza. ;)
-
No one has family visiting from Germany. It's just not done. Latvia, maybe, Germany never.
-
And Germans hardly stay up until midnight.
-
Especially visiting Germans.
-
I have never once been visited by Germans.
-
And he's not here to tell us.
I has arrived! We had Costco pepperoni pizza and also a Little Caesar's vegetarian pizza for my sister and her daughter (and Larry the birthday boy also had some vegetarian pizza), and a Caesar salad, and for dessert, my mom made a Chocolate Lush. Delish, all!!
-
Swedes, yes. Brits, yes. Frogs, yes.
-
Germans never.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
And Germans hardly stay up until midnight.
I don't know about that, but after leaving my mom's house, I had to drive my niece home, and then I also went shopping at Fred Meyer for some necessary foodstuffs, and some unnecessary foodstuffs.
-
I wrote them.
-
I have never once been visited by Germans.
You just don't know the right Germans. ;D
-
PAGE SEVEN DANCE!!
-
And now, they can be read.
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
And now, they can be read.
And they shall be!
-
And maybe even purpled.
-
Or chartreused.
-
Or greened.
-
Or plaided.
-
Or checked.
-
Or herringboned.
-
Or even yellowed.
