Well, you've read the notes, the notes were booked on the Orpheum Circuit, and now it is time for you to post until the Orpheum Circuit cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: COMMENDABLE!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Unpleasant news all the way around from DR George regarding Subway.
-
I say, just order a pizza.
-
I say, and have said.
-
I'll bet this box is pretty expensive.
-
In the meantime...

Who decides these things?

~~~CONTINUED MULTIPLE MODERN MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes o' BK!!!!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Up early this morning because I have my six-month visit to the dermatologist.
-
But... It's Friday, kids! And you know what that means... Right?
-
FISH STICKS!!!
-
Friday morning greetings! While I was chatting with you lovely people last night our Wi-Fi went out again due to a bad storm. Seems to be OK now.
-
You know, going to the outdoor theeder on a day that has reached 90 or above is actually a good thing. At least it was last night. It's comfortable outdoors at 8 pm - or 7 pm if you're going early to picnic - in that location, anyway. Mosquitoes weren't even bad last night, which is a blessing. I gave my neck area a little spritz of Deep Woods OFF at the car, and had a couple of those little coiled "bracelets" to put on later, and I wasn't even aware of any.
And though this was my first ever GREASE (hard to believe, I know), it was probably as good as I'd hope to see it. No stupid additions or changes, just the original book and score done really well and moving at a great pace. Most enjoyable.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I keep thinking today is Saturday.
-
I slept well. I dreamed working at a used book shop just before Christmas.
-
Last night I watched my friend Jim Fall's movie Trick in a restored print that's been making festival rounds and currently playing on Amazon Prime. My friends Steve Hayes and Kevin Chamberlin have a nice scene, and I very much like the leads Christian Campbell and JP Pitoc. I remember seeing it on its opening night in July 1999 and several times on VHS and DVD. I'm hoping that this current 25th anniversary round of showings will lead to a new DVD with extras.
Thanks for that outdoor theater and GREASE repor!
Advance dance competition vibes for John G!
-
GREASE is the word.
-
Well I rarely go to Subway - so I guess that will now change to never.
-
I enjoyed reading MR BK's Hitchcock acting list last night.
-
Cloudy today....but it is only 73 degrees right now.
-
No rehearsal today no nothing....so I am enjoying my day off.
-
On Page Two.
-
Interesting law that DR RODZINSKI found and posted last night.
-
Does Grease involve jazz hands?
What happens in Vagus stays in Vagus.
-
Friday at last. It took its time considering I thought yesterday was Friday.
Slept egregiously well. No dreams I can recall.
We are under a heat advisory today from 11 a.m. until 8 a.m.
-
Denny is now cutting my grass. It needed cutting, too, as we have had several overnight rainstorms that just encouraged all the grass to stretch toward the sun.
-
I enjoyed reading MR BK's Hitchcock acting list last night.
That was really good reading! Some choices I'd never heard of before.
-
LOL!
Slept egregiously well.
You and Julie Andrews, both?
Interesting video. Not sure I agree with all the choices, but I liked what I saw of Henrick.
Not ready to face the day.
-
But I must.
-
Back. And....OW! He really zapped me this time. Normally it doesn't bother me. But I've also been "graduated" to the once-a-year club, and I guess he does a little extra in the preventative department. So for now, I've got two bright red "temples".
I liked Henrik, too, and Kathleen Turner, who was a really good choice for Mme Armfeldt. I did not like the Desiree in either "You Must Meet My Wife" or the BIG SONG.
From DR Singdaw:
The DH forgot and left a vial of insulin in a hot car when we were in Indiana. That had to be thrown out, unfortunately.
Not good. Do you have a plug in cooler for drives or use ice packs?
-
From DR Rodzinski:
What sort of records does Craig seek?
Hip Hop plus 80's & 90's rock. He didn't find anything he wanted yesterday and will check out a couple more stores today.
Good to hear of another vinyl traveler!
BK, what’s the best way to get a softcover “Directed By” and not deal with Amazon? (By best way, I mean where you get the most return. I see places like B&N sell it).
-
My Kiwi neighbor had a stroke while visiting their timeshare on Pender Island. He’s in the hospital in Victoria now, wife by his side, the hope is he can recover movement enough to get into a wheelchair. Recovering speech has slightly better odds. A real shame; his wife has been so lovely to us from the day we moved here.
-
He’s a big Gilbert & Sullivan aficionado, and I have footage of him doing various roles on NZ television on the ‘80s.
-
Rodzinski I told Craig about the interesting place you live. I had it wrong though as I thought you are on the border of Vancouver. I now stand corrected.
Yes. Bryan also liked vinyl but I don't believe he collects it like Craig does.
Thank you for the vibes. You weren’t really wrong. We’re on the border of suburban Vancouver. The Canadian town through which we must go to enter here is where people catch ferries to Vancouver Island. Yet from my window I can see Mt Baker across the bay.
Agreed. I like the chorus (can't remember the liebeslieder name). Not entirely sure about either leading man.
Well I rarely go to Subway - so I guess that will now change to never.
They do have other subs that are quite good, just a little higher in price than the breakfast choice that I made.
-
The next time I get it (and I will get it again), I'll get it on Italian bread. That will be good...and it'll be at the price that I paid yesterday.
I just really liked the flatbread that they used to have.
Verizon blues:
Last month, I began getting daily texts from Verizon telling me I was accruing 1GB overages on my plan on a daily basis, and each new GB would cost me $15.
Alarmed, I went online and chatted with someone who assured me that nothing untoward was happening. He actually sent me a printout of my upcoming bill showing me that it was virtually the same as all the other monthly bills I had been getting the past 12 years.
The text messages continued to arrive, but I had believed the Verizon rep who had assured me there were no added charges.
AND THEN THE BILL ARRIVED AND IT WAS MORE THAN DOUBLE WHAT IT HAD EVER BEEN.
I have to say that I have zero idea why this happened. I paid the bill, and I deleted many apps off my iPhone, including things I've been using for years.
Today, I got another text: I had only 1% of my allowable GBs left for the month which would end in 23 days.
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
I went online, had a hissy fit with an AI-generated chat-bot, and finally got connected to a real person. His name? He goes by "Crimson Kurt" !!!
Crimson Kurt, however, was helpful. He could not see what caused my overages, but he assured me that many apps were becoming more GB-intensive. He suggested I upgrade to the Unlimited Welcome plan which, as it turns out, will result in lower bills than I am used to paying.
He transferred me to an account rep. While on hold, the AI-generated chat-bot interceded and began demanding my pin number which I had no idea I had (I do, however, and it's my usual suspect of pin numbers I use). Suddenly, a human voice came online. It was Angelina, an account rep, and the rest was smooth sailing.
But I was a hair's breadth from driving to a Verizon store and raising Cain.
-
Happy that turned out so well, Ron!
-
Oh, my goodness, Ron! What an ordeal! Glad you got it all figured out and that you're paying even less than before! ;D
So, tonight we played our usual Phase 10 at my mom's house/
My niece Hilary and my friend Shelly didn't play tonight, so there were only four of us.
We played three games, which is one more than we've played in recent weeks.
-
Dee (Mona's former neighbor) won the first game.
Then, my mom won the second game.
Then Mona won the third game.
Today, as I was downloading a YouTube video, I got the message that the card was full and it would download to the internal memory!
-
:o
-
I filled up 400 gigabytes in just two and a half years...I just checked and I got the phone in September 2021!
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
I'll admit that I haven't been moving anything from the MicroSD card to my desktop computer, but now I'm going to have to.
-
I'll move most of it off (mostly large video files), but I just need to figure out what I want to keep on it.
-
The internal memory is 128GB, and 101GB of that is used up, so I still have room there, but it shouldn't take too long to move things from the memory card since I have a USB3 card reader.
-
So tomorrow morning, I'm going to meet Marko, pug's husband, at a local U-Haul rental place and rent a moving truck so that we can empty the (now former :'( ) OlyTheater performance space at the Capital Mall.
-
We rented a storage space in Lacey and hopefully we'll be able to find a new performance space sooner rather than later...although, it probably won't happen very soonly.
-
We've rented spaces for individual shows before, so we can do it again.
-
People have been putting feelers out, and we've gotten a couple of nibbles (if only for new temporary spaces), so we'll see how it all pans out.
-
As I always say, "It'll be what it'll be."
-
;D
-
8 ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
-
:D
-
After the move (or sooner, if it goes too long), I'm actually going to go to my 40th high school reunion!
-
:o
-
I've never been to one, and I don't know if I even remember very many people from back then, so we'll see how it goes.
-
I'm sure that my introvertedness will keep me pretty quiet, unless people approach me, then I can break the silence.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I'm not shy, nor am I really uncomfortable in large crowds. I'm just not one to initiate conversations with strangers...or people that I haven't seen in 40 years.
-
I wrote them.
-
George posted up a storm.
-
It's being held at a local venue, which is good since I went to a local high school.
-
They're going to have both meat and vegetarian lasagna options, as well as a taco bar, so everyone should be able to get what their food restrictions require. :)
George posted up a storm.
Why, yes, I did. :)
-
For once. ::)
I'm posting a storm-let.
