Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no shadow and just a modicum of doubt, and now it is time for you to post until the doubting cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CAPTIVATE!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
I shouldn't, but I think I'll have a small amount of ice cream - I didn't eat anything other than the stroganoff and that was at three.
-
Notes shadowed. Doubted.
-
Sent an extra dollar to kritzerland so you’d know it was me.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
What a scary tale, DR Rodzinski.
-
Glad you are OK. Should you get checked out for concussion?
-
Concussion isn't just for football players anymore.
-
.
-
I can support chocolate chip cookies.
-
Everyone thinks their recipe is the best.
-
And they aren't wrong.
-
Rodzinski, that was very scary. Hoping you're 100% better very quickly!
-
Thanks for sharing your reunion with us, George. That sounds like a lot of fun.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Noggin vibes for DR Rodzinski.
-
Too little sleep.
-
John G, were you happy with how the dance competition went overall?
-
Thanks for sharing your experience of the reunion, DR George.
-
If you see someone without a CLEW, give them one of yours.
-
I'd imagine the Kritzerland rehearsals this time around are even more crucial, as you're dealing with a lot of folks that have probably never done this sort of thing before.
-
Good morning, all.
-
That story was a little too close for comfort, DR Rodzinski. Good job hanging on and coming out the other side intact.
-
Now if you could just send me an extra dollar, too, it will be appreciated.
-
What are the odds?
-
As early as it is, I nevertheless have only an hour and a half before I must get ready to go to the movie theeder. It's 45 minutes away, and I always make it a point to arrive and get parked at least half an hour early.
-
"TWO DOLLAH."
-Bloody Mary
-
Looking forward to DR ChasSmith's theeder repor.

PAGE TWO
-
Good morning, all!
-
The Nutcracker recording on the radio last night was Ozawa and Boston, and the guy could only play Act 1 in the allotted time.
-
But I appreciated that he was interested in playing that much of it, uncut, instead of playing the Suite.
On the third of August.
Go figure.
-
I had a very hard time sleeping last night. I'm sure I was driving Thatch mad with my twists and turns. Around 4:00, I turned off the alarm and went back to bed. Just before 6:00, I switched sleeping positions and when I woke, it was 7:20. I am moving very slowly.
-
If anyone's sending extra money, I use a lot!
-
Keep those employment wishes coming, please.
-
I had trouble getting to sleep, too. After turning the radio off, it still took a while but I finally fell asleep to the Olympics.
-
Keep those employment wishes coming, please.
YOU GOT 'EM.
-
DR Rodzinski, I think you need to speak to an attorney. This horrifying accident seems to have occurred from a problem problem opn the water park's end. I'm happy you were not more seriously injured.
-
Work vibes for Larry!
-
John G, were you happy with how the dance competition went overall?
Yes. My partners danced well, and it was fun.
-
Greetings from the Bedford Playhouse.
Way early, as usual. But I’m a chronically early person. What can I say? Actually, I think I just said it.
-
Thanks for sharing your reunion with us, George. That sounds like a lot of fun.
You're welcome, Freddie. It actually was!

I'm trying to wake up.....for some reason I am very sleepy even after a good night's rest.

Happy Sunday! There's a new Broadway Radio Show up on the website...it's a new Broadway Flashback episode where I chat about a failed Broadway musical with someone who was deeply involved with its creation. This time, composer Paul Gordon joins me to talk about the history of Jane Eyre, which opened in 2000 and received 5 Tony nominations including Best Musical (and 1 for Paul for Best Score), but only lasted 209 performances. Paul talks about the whole development process, working with John Caird (of Les Miz fame), and the continued work on the show and what the future may hold for bringing Jane Eyre back!

Since Trump courts that element of the population my relatives referred to sixty years ago as "white trash," but he's too pretentiously classier than they to associate with them outside of a rally, I suspect this may be one reason why his idiot son Don Jr pushed for Middletown, Ohio's white trash poet laureate to court the votes of this couple.
WARNING: Once seen, you cannot forget it!

LOVE this score!

~~~CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT VIBE$~~~ for DR elmore3003!!!
It is still illegal to wear the American. It should also be illegal to see that couple sporting the flag.
-
Up from a nap.
-
Let's get off this page, shall we?
-
Only two more posts.
One.
Three!
MY EYES!! 😱
-
Good afternoon!
-
Wordle: 5/6
-
Sorry to hear of your experience, DR Rodzinski!
-
Thanks for the congrats on Wordle yesterday, DR Jane!
-
"Shadow of a Doubt" is one of my favorite movies. Thanks for reminding me to watch it again, BK!
-
Speaking of movies, I saw "The Faculty" yesterday for the first time. Fun horror movie. Also fun to see Bruce's credit!
-
Tokyo Rodz will not, in future, be known as Sliding Rodz.
Glad you are not seriously maimed.
-
I had a seriously good Zoom chat today with various folk into film and film music. My time there was 3 1/2 hours!
We spent a lot of time talking about our favorite music-accompanied scenes from movies -- not main themes or action segments but scenes in which music seriously enhances/elevates everything we were experiencing.
We gave it a good off-the-top-of-our-heads shot but agreed to homework this week to consider the question and offer more ideas next Sunday.
I made two suggestions: "Jonathan's Death" from "Superman: The Movie" and "A World of Dolls" from "Bunny Lake is Missing".
Don't know them? No worries.
It's always the same: People with absolutley NOTHING worth showing seem clueless about it.
I highly commend DR Donald's radio show from today to all.
DR George I am very pleased you had such a good time at your reunion. Keith and I always enjoy our reunions.
-
DR Rodzinski that was a very scary experience. How is your head today?
-
Rodzinski did you report what happened? Was the family about to report you missing? It is sweet though that the kids were worried about you.
-
John G, were you happy with how the dance competition went overall?
I was about to ask this question and decided to read the posts before asking.
-
Whew!!
That's for sure.
-
A couple of months ago Keith told Craig about Wordle. Once here they both opened Wordle to compare their scores for the day and we discovered that Craig is playing a fake Wordle ;D
-
Craig had no clue it was a fake one :)
-
Thanks for the congrats on Wordle yesterday, DR Jane!
You are welcome.
DS Craig is in the sky on his way home. I miss him already.
I'm up, I'm up - I suppose overall I got eight hours of sleep.
-
Watching Sam Peckinpah's film version of Convoy. It's fun, except for Ali MacGraw. It's also ridiculous.
-
I was up at ten, thought I'd posted but of course hadn't, answered e-mails, and then went to the Studio City CVS, which is everything the Sherman Oaks branch isn't. They have everything that my branch is ALWAYS out of. I went primarily for new readers. Sherman Oaks had almost no supplies on 1 and no 1.2. Mostly they had multi-focus, which I did not want. Studio City? Loaded with every kind of shape, frame, and lens strength. It took me all of two minutes to find a pair I really liked - Foster Grant brand and what they call blue lens, which they say are really good for a lot of computer work. They were thirty-two bucks but I had fifteen in coupons so they were twenty four with tax. They fit perfectly. My first pair were 1 for strength. These are 1.2 and are perfect.
-
I may go back and see if they have a second pair just like this - just so I have a backup.
-
I came home and ordered Stanley's grilled chicken pasta with broccoli, red onions, and cashews. Hadn't had it in a really long time. Excellent.
-
It made me very drowsy so I plopped down on the bed and fell asleep and I just got up again.
-
And here I am, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, not necessarily in that order.
-
At Rite Aid last night, there was someone working the ice cream counter so I got a quart of cherry chocolate chip ice cream.
-
Good news on the specs, BK.
-
My little treat. Don't tell anyone.
-
Yum.
-
I've told every little star.
-
I've told the man in the moon.
I didn't know multi-focus glasses are sold over the counter.
Please let me know if the blue lens helps.
-
Excellent idea.
-
I made a cherry Kool-Aid pie in a chocolate crust today. Ice cream with that would take it over the top, gild the lily, in the best way possible.
-
At Rite Aid last night, there was someone working the ice cream counter so I got a quart of cherry chocolate chip ice cream.
One of these days, I'm going to have to try that.
-
What else can I tell?
-
What else can I speak of in no uncertain terms.
-
Or should there be term limits?
-
A little SCOTUS humor.
-
Very little.
-
Trying to figure out what I should watch.
-
Perhaps some cherry chocolate chip ice cream will help me decide.
-
It's been known to happen.
-
Why are we still on this page?
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
See?
-
I may go back and see if they have a second pair just like this - just so I have a backup.
Great to hear they had what you needed there!
-
That even SOUNDS delicious!
-
My little treat. Don't tell anyone.
Can we tell the man on the street?
-
Or maybe the man in the street?
-
But if he's in the street, he might get run over, so no danger telling him.
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
There are only 43 Guests viewing this board right now, so it wouldn't be all that much of a gaslighting if there were.
-
Starting Perfect Days, a Wim Wenders film about a Japanese man who cleans toilets for a living. It’s meant to be like a Yasujiro Ozu movie, snd it sort of is. It’s largely silent so far. I’m liking it.
-
She got her kicks...
-
:)
-
'night
-
I didn't do much today, but I'm tired.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Perfect Days is an outstanding film with an amazing central performance from Koho Yakusho, who was the lead of one of my all-time favorites, Shall We Dance?
Just beautiful filmmaking.
-
And Criterion has given it a beautiful showcase with some fine extras.
-
I love the way the film uses the Bricusse-Newley classic Feeling Good.
-
On that excellent high, I must head to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Well, today was somewhat boring day.
-
I had lunch at my mom's, and my sister and her daughter were there, too, of course.
-
We had fish (fish-n-chips type, but no chips), with poor man's tartar sauce (just relish and mayonnaise mixed together, but still quite tasty).
-
We also had a pasta salad, and something else, but I forget what it was. ::)
-
We played Scrabble and I didn't win.
-
My mom won, and I think I came in second...or maybe third. I forget that, too.
-
Um, George shows up at three minutes to midnight when we're on page FIVE???
-
Let me say that again: Page FIVE????
-
Ridic.
-
Simply ridic.
-
Majorly ridic.
-
Page SIX?
-
And George has already disappeared into the good night.
-
Not very sporting.
-
And barely on page six at that.
-
Ridic.
-
And yet, here we are, stuck in the muck and mire of page six.
-
I made that post and it's still trying to post it, so I had to open a new window to try again and that worked. But what's with the other page not loading the post. That's been happening in the last couple of weeks.
-
It's still trying.
-
And failing miserably.
-
You'd think it would give me an error page or timeout or something.
-
It finally gave me Safari can't open the page.
-
What a load of hooey.
-
And George has already disappeared into the good night.
I'm going to post a couple of pictures from my phone, but I needed to resize them
-
Fooey on hooey and give me a shrimp Louis.
-
Pictures, my butt cheeks.
-
I think we all know he was eating a burrito with sauce Bernaise.
-
Ridic.
-
I forgot to post these last night, but on my way to the reunion, my car's odometer rolled over 20000 miles!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
Here's 19999.9:
-
I wrote them.
-
George has some mileage on him.
-
I've got some mileage on me.
-
What do I know?
-
I know not what I know.
-
The 9999.9 is the B trip meter. I never use that one, so the last four digits are exactly the same.
-
And yet, here we are, still on page six.
-
Page seven, a page I do not care for.
-
And here's 20000.0!
-
And yes, I was driving down the freeway when I (carefully!) took the pictures. ;)
-
I'm still tired from yesterday, and I should've taken a nap, but I didn't. ::)
-
I will definitely be sleeping well tonight.
