Well, you've read the notes, reading the notes was a good thing, and now it is time for you to post until the that's a good thing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TIPTOP!
-
New Kritzerland CDs! Hoo and Ray! :D

Good morning, friends.

I have never had a Brazilian blowout.
-
I have never had a Brazilian.
-
I have had spumoni.
-
Good morning, all!

I wanted to see the Obamas last night, but by 9:30 I was semi-comatose. So, the cats and I went to bed. At 2:00 I woke and could not get back to sleep. I took a tizanidine which made me drowsy, and I now feel lethargic and unmotivated to do anything.
-
:)
-
I missed the Obamas, but I had a great time watching the convention. I thought the Rethuglicans behaved and dressed like jerks at theirs, but I'm, feeling more generous after seeing some of the DNC clothing. I did love the Wisconsin delegation wearing their cheese hats and I really enjoyed the entire nominating process. Who is that amazing DJ?

This is for DR Ron Pulliam:
-
Joshie should be back today, so I hoped to hear how his holiday went and I'm really hoping that the approval for the new project has gone through.
-
:)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Slept okay. Weird dreams about investigating the deaths of people in a line dance group.
-
This is for DR Ron Pulliam:
Gosh!
-
I just got an email from Joshie so we're meeting on Friday about the project. This bodes good!
-
I, too, was unable to await the Obamas. I stopped watching at 10:15. I did set my DVR to "record", so I can hear all of it at my leisure later today.
-
I am imagining "the Donald" being completely out of his mind over the fact that both the DNC convention hall in Chicago and the one in Milwaukee were simultaneously packed to the rafters last night.
-
He can haul a scow along a canal.
-
He can run a cow around a corral.
-
Good morning, all.
-
It's kind of a ME day, thank gawd, following the stress of the weekend's concert and the storms and the dentist and all.
I'll be working on recruiting a few band members for SNOOPY, and working on being able to play the score of THE SPITFIRE GRILL. I'm not involved with that show, but I'm playing a couple of staging rehearsals for my friend the director & music director in a couple of weeks.
-

Yes! Yes! Yes!
Project vibes for all my friends!
-
Continued recovery vibes for DR vixmom's DM.
-
Our first real fall weather started yesterday, temperature- and breeze-wise, and talk about a breath of fresh air!
Summer's not over yet (I'm not wishing for that to happen too soon), but we get these few days of relief before the temperature goes back up by the end of the week. It's not going to the extremes, just back to the low 80s or thereabouts, and that'll be fine.
-
And the show is blocked! Or did I say that last night?
Tonight I am working in the box office for the Rotten show and then staying to clean up the house afterwards.
I shall not be home until after midnight.
-
But then I am away from the theeder till Sunday - when we build our set.
-
Congrats to MR BK on the MMM and vibes for more.
-
Comfortable day today.
-
Word this morning is that Mom had a peaceful night.
-
Congrats and sending more modern major miracle vibes for BK!
-
Just got a phone call from the insurance company that the MRI is still denied and the doctor is still not complying with their rules. O joy.
-
Word this morning is that Mom had a peaceful night.

Not that I am surprised.

More vibes for vixmom's mother and the whole family.
-
They’ve changed the forecast. It’s now projected to hit 106.
-
I just watched Laura Benani tear down Melania Trump on last night's show with Stephen Colbert. She, Alec Baldwin, and Randy Rainbow all deserve sainthood for getting us through eight years of the Fat Orange Slug's Reign of Terror.
-
Just got a phone call from the insurance company that the MRI is still denied and the doctor is still not complying with their rules. O joy.
At least they're calling. I always had to wait for postal turn-downs. Do you need to see a different doctor?

I'm watching Michelle Obama's speech from last night. I love her!

I don't understand. How many weeks or months has it been since you were first recommended for an MRI? And then this keeps happening. How does one blow the whistle, and on whom, when something like this repeatedly fails?

I have to follow the instructions of a doctor who will actually follow the insurance company’s procedures. It then takes six weeks of following those instructions.

How expensive can an MRI of the neck be that they won't cover the cost?
Or is it a matter of something else other than the actual cost of the MRI?

Wednesday afternoon greetings! Because of her scheduling conflicts, my radiation oncologist appointment was moved from tomorrow to yesterday so I now have a diagnosis and a treatment plan:
Diagnosis: primary cutaneous diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the scalp. Treatment plan: 18 days of electron radiation therapy starting September 3. Had the CT simulation yesterday.
-
The best part is it’s all been moved to the Butler County location, which is only about 20 minutes from our house.
-

Laura is brilliant! The theatre Colbert is using this week is where I saw “Phantom” for the first time in 1990.

It's Wednesday, BTW.

105 is a nice number.
Not for an outside temperature! :o

Seven is also a nice number, even considered "lucky" in many contexts. Still, when it comes to internet pages, I hear through online scuttlebutt that there are intelligent and respected people who just don't care for Page Seven.
I also hear there are people who don't care for the word scuttlebutt. But there it is, and now I'll re-read my previous sentence so that I can say I read it on the internet somewhere.
-
I like the bit of wordplay "unavoidable for comment" - which is a play on "unavailable for comment" - that is being used recently about certain politicians who never met a camera or reporter microphone they didn't like.
It says here the phrase was used a bit about once NYC Mayor Ed Koch.

"I voted for the man who gave up his wealth for my country, not the man who gave up his country for his wealth."

What was the context? It sounds vaguely like GOP MAGA double speak, ignoring the fact that Trump cost the country a bundle in personal expenses. Yes, he gave up his salary, but he required the government to pay full Trump rates at all his properties for the Secret Service agents plus his own family's expenses.
There is nothing magnanimous about Trump.

You don't have to convince me ;) I've seen the quote before and always thought it was anti-T. Today it was on a FB friend's page who is a big T supporter. I was about to tell her it was anti-T and am glad I looked it up first ;D

Hello Kitty is not supposed to be a cat. ::)
-
This morning I had an appointment with my new audiologist and am now wearing a trial pair of new hearing aids. I waited until after my cataract surgeries to do this since the shape on these are different than my previous hearing aids.
-
Just wearing glasses alone the back of my ears always hurt. Adding hearing aids made them more uncomforatable, and then adding a hat when we walk often increased the pain.
-
Since my first cataract surgery giving me the ability to stop wearing glasses the pain has gone away. Even with the hearing aids, thin light weight sunglasses, and a cap I'm good. Plastic lens sunglasses bother me some.
-
I'm pleased to say that the shape of the new hearing aids is fine.
-
In order to stay tuned, we'll need an A, please.

So close....
-
I need to watch some of the speeches from last night.
-
One more post to help get us off of page 7.
-
I once read in a musty tome that I do not care for page seven.
-
And the sooner we rectify that situation, the better.
-
We're very excited about next March's musical.
-
I get to make good on a promise I made long ago.
-
Long ago and far away.
-
When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore.
-
I never knew that was amore.
-
Did you?
-
Hoping the fridge gets fixed at six.
-
We shall see.

I brushed my teeth to get rid of the stench of food.

I need to book a dental appointment soon.
-
Get these two loose caps glued back in good.
-
And a good teeth cleaning.

It's been a little too long.
-
Cooling off the house again.
-
It must be done.
-
We made page eight.
-
I wonder if page eight likes being made?
-
Some pages do, some don't. I don't think Ellen Page liked being made, for example, so Ellen made a change.
-
If I make a change, my first name will no longer be Bruce, it will be Brunhilda.
-
I'm rambling.
-
A rambling rose.
-
That's amore.
-
Jane, you're only nine posts from a new millstone!
Great minds think alike, Freddie! ;D
:)

DR JohnG, after you finished watching Opening Night again, did you think to yourself, "What this really needs is to be made into a stage musical?"
-
I did enjoy it but it still seems like a curious choice for a project. That never stopped Sondheim in his prime, of course.
-
We shall see.
Did they show up?
-
Just a few more to go.

Watching All the Marbles, Robert Aldrich 's last movie. Peter Falk, Fosse dancer Vicky Frederick and the world of women wrestling. It's not as amusing as it should be, but Falk is great.

That's great, Vixmom!

When Kelly Bishop, Kay Cole and the third singer, whose name I forget, sing At the Ballet, the rest of the performers' faces or actions are incredible.

Brian Thorsett! He was a soloist many times for one of the local choruses I used to sing with.

Something went screwy with my TV yesterday - it was very weird, I got some screen that made no sense that I've never seen, I unplugged the fire stick and a couple of other things but it wouldn't go away. I finally turned everything off and turned on the Blu-ray player, and that fixed it - BUT, I think the TV reset itself and now it has that soap opera look. I went into the settings that have judder and blur and sure enough they were back to reset version. I remembered what those were and did that but it still doesn't look right, so I'm wondering what other settings I now need to fix. Wish I'd written all that stuff down, but apparently I didn't. Hard to believe I've had this thing since 2008 - it's really time to get a new TV.
-
George disappeared.
-
I, on the other hand, appeared.
-
Page 10 appeared.

Notes are written.

George is probably eating a burrito.

They're like Oreos, but low carb...and not too bad in the taste department. :)
