Well, you've read the notes, the notes waned and poured, and now it is time for you to post until the waning and pouring cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RACONTEUR!
-
I'm a bit of a raconteur myself.

I want a cheeseburger, damn it.

However, I will not succumb to that urge.

I will NOT.

I will be strong, I'll be invincible.

Hear me roar.

What am I, Helen Reddy all of a sudden?

That, or Helen Keller.

Or Helen of Troy.

~~~CONTINUED SAFE & EASY TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for DR John G.!!!!!!
Cottage cheese is not actually a cheese.
-
It's just a curd to me.
-
I see "authentic" bagels by mail order at https://www.newyorkerbagels.com/ and I'm sure they're quite expensive. But I'm still curious.
-
(speaking of bagels)
-
And someone was, I believe.
-
I do declare.
-
Doo dah, doo dah.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept so well on Friday night that last night was a disappointment. The nice thing is, I survived.
-
This morning, I've got an Amazon Fresh order arriving, so I'm up early and waiting on that. Then I'll spend the remainder of the day on the overture. I got as far as I wanted to go yesterday, so I'm very pleased.
More travel vibes for John G.
One just might go that far.
Good morning, all.
I slept well. Not a bad bed.
-
Larry, did you see my notes on the Gypsy overture?
-
I may try to sleep a little more before leaving.
-
Larry, did you see my notes on the Gypsy overture?
The ones about Styne wanting the trumpet solo a little flat, etc.? I did.
Sid Ramin told me he scored the overture first and then Styne suggested a cut, but I cannot remember which song was dropped. I know where it went, but not what it was. The original score has the cut and the bars renumbered.
-
This morning, I liostened to Masha's favorite piece of music, according to Caleb Carr: Wagner's Prelude to Das Rheingold.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I stayed up too late and didn't get nearly enough sleep.
-
Good thing I don't have any particular plans for today.
-
I've finished the overture, so I'm ready for a lie-down with the cats.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
Hello...there's a new Broadway Radio Show up on the site for your listening pleasure. This week, Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning composer Tom Kitt joins me to chat about the 15th Anniversary of Next To Normal and the re-release of the Broadway Cast Recording, which has been remixed and remastered (and sounds incredible!). We chat about what went into this new release as well as the lasting impact of the musical, which is finally having its West End premiere in London at the moment!
From DR MichaelG:
Quote from: Ron Pulliam on August 24, 2024, 09:04:14 PM
[He reminded me of the "olden" days when Republicans stood for values that I could relate to. I have admired quite a few over the decades, but have voted Blue since 1976,
We had to do "state over party" one year in Massachusetts and vote for William Weld over John Silber. We even crossed over to vote for Weld in the primary.
I have done that many times and voted for the person I felt would do the best job.
-
DR George, I what you call a "lunner" is when I prefer to eat dinner.
1972. I'll pass.
I slept well. Not a bad bed.
I am surprised you slept well, and glad you were well rested before continuing your drive.
Hmmm... a light posting day.
-
Slept in late today. Got up at 4:00am.
-
Finished War and Peace. I got a good start on it yesterday, so was able to finish it this morning.
-
Visited everyone in critical care in the hospital. They are such dears.
-
Worked on the cure for cancer. It is eluding me, but I think I'll crack it soon.
-
Cooked up a hearty breakfast for all the local volunteer fire crews. We fed 250!
-
Got out early and got groceries. For five of my nearest and dearest. Sorted everything and put it away in each respective fridge/freezer.
-
Wrote the pastor's sermon before reporting to church.
-
Polished every piece of silver and ironed every vestment.
-
Preached the children's sermon, led the Sunday school, and greeted each and every attendee as they left.
Took communion to 35 shut-ins afterward.
Took vidad out to lunch. I was going to cook but then I though, what the heck. Let's splurge.
-
The waiters all sang us a little celebration song that I had composed earlier.
-
And I snuck into the kitchen to show the chef a few little tricks I had picked up.
Then, I organized a wedding shower for a friend. It was a themed party.
-
Then I had to slog into NYC for a concert, a show, and a little after-show soiree.
-
I was starting to flag a little, so I had an extra cappuccino.
-
After that, I experienced a new burst of energy.
-
So when I got home, I decided to clean the house from top to bottom.
-
And do 13 loads of laundry.
-
Then, I sat down to watch some television.
-
Strangely, I fell asleep almost immediately.
-
The end.
-
We now return to regularly scheduled HHW programming.
Hello, Lasagna.
I'm here, I'm here. Here being a mystery location to visit a friend named Alby Potts. Having lunch tomorrow. Haven't been where I am in probably twelve years, maybe more, probably more
-
It was a nice hour drive.
-
I think I had my first meal at an Olive Garden - maybe my second. It wasn't terrible.
-
I had the chicken and shrimp carbonara.
-
Very filling but didn't finish all the pasta.
-
I walked around, went to several interesting stores, and here I am.
-
Haven't walked that much in AGES.
-
Legs are now sore.
-
And I'm zonked.
-
Page six?
-
Again?
-
Not very sporting.
-
I'm still full.
-
I'm still here.
-
It's Sunday, in case anyone was wondering.
-
Page six is always the never-ending page.
-
It never ends.
-
It goes on and on and on.
-
Forever and ever.
-
This page is boring me to tears.
-
I have tears of boredom.
-
As Gaston in Gigi says - it's a bore.
-
Bore spelled backwards is erob.
-
I need some chapstick.
-
Hold on for a moment.
-
There, much better.
-
Dry lips are the Barbara Bane of my existence.
-
Bain.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Here's exactly what I gotta tell you: I do not care for page seven.
-
Time for a Kind bar - cranberry and almond.
-
As usual, no George.
-
Probably eating a burrito.
-
He's in the room, certainly.
-
But posting? No.
-
I am posting.
-
This is what posting looks like.
-
I had the chicken and shrimp carbonara.
I think that that's what my friend Shelly had the last time we went to The Olive Garden.
-
Notes will be up on time.
-
She really liked it.
-
He posts.
-
A very good post.
-
I need some chapstick.
I usually use Blistex brand, but I also have some Burt's Bees lip balm.
-
I don't care for the ChapStick brand. ::)
-
And now for the...
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
Probably eating a burrito.
Today, I went to my sister's and she, her daughter and our mother had gone to an animal shelter that was having a bake sale.
-
My sister baked and donated some vegan cupcakes for them to sell.
-
New notes are up.
-
I had one and it was quite delish!
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
Anyway, on their way home, they stopped and Subway and got some sub sandwiches.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
My mom got a footlong turkey sub and she only ate half of it.
-
I ate the other half at my sister's. :)
-
And now, they can be read with relish. Or mustard.
-
PAGE EIGHT DANCE!!
-
It needed some mayo, but otherwise it was quite tasty.
