Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Freudian slips, and now it is time for you to post until the Freudian cows come home.

And the word of the day is: SCALABLE!

Topic of the Day: I don't really know much about Freud, only what I've seen in the movies and on TV.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Last night I slept quite well. The cats behaved as well.
-
My day will be focused on finishing "Mr Goldstone." Beyond that, who knows?
-
DR John G, your MRI came through? Fantastic!
-
MRI vibes for DR JOHN G.
-
Monday. Back to the theeder tonight. I am selling tickets from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
My friend Vickie was scheduled, but her grandson is playing in a JV Football game this afternoon and she wanted to see it.....so I told her I Can Do That - like Mike in A Chorus Line.
-
I asked my AD to come in and help me and you would have thought I asked her to put a new roof on the garage......but she's another story.
-
Yesterday at 5 p.m. - well 4:50 p.m. - I started to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey on one of the HBO channels.
Then I thought....it's cool outside....I am at the theeder for the next six nights....I should mow the lawn today.
And so I did. It took one hour and 18 minutes.....and I felt like MR BK felt after jogging four blocks.
-
Well today my Mouse Maze is Out For Delivery - so that is good news.
I am still waiting for a copy of Look Homeward, Angel - it is due tomorrow.
-
Good morning, all.
-
More MRI vibes for John G

Decent sleep. The temperatures were cooler last night, which made sleep even easier.

DR VIXMOM is on a Wordle roll!

I think Freud is interesting - I haven't seen the movie in a few decades....I might like it better now.
I have a read a few of his theories....and I now and then peruse him on the interweb.
-
My question is:
Why is there one actor whose work schedule does not allow him to be on time for any rehearsal.....always five minutes late or so?
And why is this actor always in the first scene?
-
My question is:

If you started rehearsal 5 minutes later, would he still be 5 minutes late for the new time?

Too many damnedls, mostly -= 90% - are political: give us money, sign this petition, help me defeat . . . I will be so happy when Nov. 6 arrives.
-
I'm up, I'm up - a bit over eight hours of sleep, maybe even eight-and-a-half-hours.
-
The plan was pasta - we'll see if we stick to it (the plan, not the pasta).

I was wondering the same thing.

I finally got the MRI. I kept my eyes closed and didn’t have claustrophobia. I hated the noise. It was like being at a rave without any melody.
-
I wait now until a week from Wednesday for results.
-
;)
BK, I thought of you immediately!

LOL, I do find a rhythm to it. Best of all you didn't suffer claustrophobia. Did you have earplugs and/or a headset?
-
One of the few advantages of wearing hearing aids is that I can take them out for an MRI. Because I am sensitive to loud noises I still need extra protection.

At a doctor's appointment?
Can you get online with mychart to read them first?

Whew! My friend Margo is claustrophobic and had to get the "open" MRI. I don't know what makes it "open," but she was able to handle it.

Up from a nap.
-
Sorry about Jones’s death. Great actor. I never knew he played Oberon in Midsummer. He had the right imperiousness and mischievousness. I bet he was wonderful in the role.

I think it means there is more space around your head, or it isn't inside the machine.

You've heard of infinity pools? Well, now there are infinity coffee tables.

Glad you finally got your test, DR John G. Hope it helps in the diagnosis.

I just saw it on Facebook. So sad.

I’m exhausted and I have done next to nothing today.

You had an MRI which is stressful and exhausting.

I'm back to the 9.5-hour Japanese flick. It's good but I have the setting Sun in my view.

There’s a lecture tonight on Cocktails & Sondheim tonight. I didn’t get called to usher. I thought about going, but I am too lazy.

The Human Condition, films released in six parts from 1959 to 1961, was filmed in something called Grandscope.
-
Hi, George.
-
Wordle: 3/6
Nice.
-
I ended up making pasta - it was okay, not great - Rao's Vodka Sauce - a little acidic.
-
That made me very logy.
-
So, I took a nap for a couple of hours.
-
Up now.
-
Feeling acidic.
-
Perhaps a sweet of some sort.
-
I was lucky enough to see James Earl Jones on Broadway in The Best Man back in 2012. Not sure what I was doing in NY - I know I was there in 2011 shooting the first two Outside the Box episodes. Hmmm. A starry revival it was, though - in addition to James Earl Jones we had Angela Lansbury, John Larroquette, Candice Bergen, Eric McCormack, Kerry Butler, Michael McKean - all were fine as was the play. But I didn't love Michael Wilson's direction, which seemed unfocused and lax, if memory serves. Well, I guess I can go look up what I thought and see why the HELL I was there.
-

Rao's is usually so reliable. Was the sauce past its freshness date, maybe?
-
Amazing cast. I saw Actors Theatre of Louisville’s production of The Best Man back when I was in high school. Victor Jory starred. That’s about all I remember, except the set was excellent and I loved the play.
-
That was 1976, an election year. I was a freshman.
-
That dates me.
-
Okay, now I know why I was there. Book signing at the Drama Book Shop for Album Produced by and Sandy Bainum's nightclub act. As to The Best Man, I clearly LOVED the play and all but two of the cast, who I don't name but I can pretty much tell who they are. Michael McKean had apparently been injured a couple of weeks before so Mark Blum was in - an actor I've always enjoyed. And yes, I found fault with the direction, which was overtly busy - the set apparently moved and did things that were completely unnecessary, including a coffee table that apparently had a mind of its own. As if the director were afraid to let the play just be. But I did love it - I call it exactly what it is - "a good, old-fashioned talking play." And they left it in three acts, which was the right thing to do.
-
We had a nice get-together of dear readers at Joe Allen.
-
I saw lots of folks I knew on this trip.
-
Fun sometimes reading the old notes.
-
Might that have been the trip where Walter Willison offered a suggestion that I try to get cast as Susan Boyle on a show like SNL?
-
And you and Larry had to explain to Walter that telling a guy he could play Susan Boyle was not a compliment. :)
-
Hilarity ensued.
-
Hmm, in this photo, I can sort of see it. Walter said I wouldn't even need a wig, just a little "zhuzh" with the hair.
-
Maybe that's why I grew a beard, to not look like Susan Boyle.
-
:)
-

Sandy Bainum's nightclub act at the Metropolitan Room was fabulous! Was that the 2012 act?

Oy!
I love that!
-
BK, when you finally get that movie made, I've got a great idea for a product tie-in:
-
I made it through 3.5 hours of The Human Condition. It’s amazing but super intense.
-
I should be sleeping.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
So now I am watching a film noir with Mickey Rooney called Quicksand. It’s not very good.
-
Sweet dreams without Mickey Rooney, Singdaw.
-
Starting The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. I forgot how creepy this movie is in the beginning. Judith Anderson at her imperious best.
-
Good night, all.
-

That could've been hilarious, Freddie! ;D

Nice picture, Freddie.

-
Here to say I’m sleepy as can be.
-
A lull. ::)
-
Today, I didn't do much of anything.
-
For the last couple of days, I'd been planning on doing laundry, but I haven't done any, yet.
-
::)
-
I did go shopping for my sister.
-
My friend Shelly went with me.
-
We went to Grocery Outlet on the west side of Olympia to see if they had anything that my sister wanted.
-
I got I think three things from there, and both Shelly and I got stuff for ourselves.
-
We then went to Fred Meyer to get the rest of what my sister wanted.
-
Of the three things that I got at Grocery Outlet for my sister, two, count 'em, TWO of the three items actually cost MORE at Grocery Outlet!
-
WTH?? :o
-
They're supposed to be cheaper than anywhere else!
-
And the Fred Meyer prices were their regular prices...they weren't on sale!
-
s i x ! ! ! ! ! !
-
So, my phone is an Android and has 128GB of internal memory, 91.9GB of which are used.
-
I also have a 400GB microSD card installed (thank you, Android. ;) ).
-
The actual amount of usable storage space is only 367GB.
-
Page SIX???
-
That's still quite a lot, but still, 33GB are not available to be used. ::)
-
BARELY???
-
How can that be?
-
Not very sporting.
-
It's still hot.
-
Anyway, of the 367GB of space, I have filled 366GB!
-
It's hot and it's monotonous.
-
What?
-
I need to remove some files off the microSD card!
-
Most unseemly.
-
I might have to turn on the damn air again.
-
I do not care for this weather - at all.
-
It's hot and it's monotonous.
It's a very comfortable 74.7°F up here in my bedroom right now.
-
They said it was supposed to be much cooler today - it wasn't. It was worse.
-
Damn them, damn them all to HELL.
-
I do not care for this weather - at all.
That's too bad. Today, it was really nice, and not very hot at all here in Tumwater.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
It's almost Page Seven time!
-
No lie.
-
Almost but not quite.
-
First comes the gaslighting.
-
See?
-
I do not care for the heat and I do not care for page seven.
-
Those are facts.
-
They cannot be disputed.

Anyone who tries will fail.

And anyone who fails will try.
