Well, you're read the notes, the notes were first and fun, and now it is time for you to post until the first and fun cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: LEVITY!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
I was just about to post this last night:
Perhaps he stopped somewhere for a burrito.
No, I drove through a Tacoma McDonald's and got an adequate Filet-O-Fish. The car in front of me (a "luxury" ::) SUV) placed an order that came to over $70.00! :o

That's pretty cool about getting Anastasia Barzee (https://castalbums.org/people/Anastasia-Barzee/2954). She's been on some notable cast recordings:
Sunset Boulevard - 1994 Original Los Angeles Cast
Napoleon - 2000 Original London Cast
The Perfect Year: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber - 2004 S.T.A.G.E. Concert (produced by our very own BK!)
Irving Berlin's White Christmas - 2006 Studio Cast
Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project
As well as her very own solo CD: The Dimming of the Day (https://castalbums.org/recordings/The-Dimming-of-the-Day-2011-Anastasia-Barzee/23725)

Good morning
-
Good morning, all!
-
I was up way too late, slep[t poorly, and woke up top find dribbles of cat poop in several spots. Hopefully I've cleaned all of them up.
-
I needed to be up early to accomplish all I need to do before Access-a-Ride shows up. I need to have my lab work done before next week's doctor's appointment.

DR vixmom, the owner of my building owns four on the block: 200, 202, and 214 and 216. Tenants in 200 West 82nd Street use our laundry room.

I was annoyed that Kamala didn’t explain how tariffs work very clearly and refute his assertion that “China paid us billions in tariffs”.
That she didn’t explain get how NATO works and that the other nations didn’t pay billions in dues.
Her simply spinning it as his “sales tax” was too abstract for people who turned off the tv last night positive he immigrants are running rampant over this country raping, pillaging, stealing and eating pets.
The moderators did a good job fact checking but I wish Kamala had a bit mor e forceful saying “that is a lie” “that’s not how it works, this is how it works” and highlighting his “ I have a concept for a plan” and “ if I come up with something I’ll let you know”
When he was running in. 2016 he claimed he had a plan he was establishing “instantly”, that was 9 years ago. He certainly didn’t bother to pull it out when there was a worldwide health crisis.
I spent a good time of the night shouting at the tv.
I may have said some bad words.

Ah! I thought she just wandered in from the street and thought that was worrisome

After watching the Fat Orange Baboon last night, I cannot believe people still fall for his con artistry or believe a word he utters.

Tonight. I dad and I are going to see the Harry Potter play so that should be fun

At this time EST, I was in Henry Wood Hall in London, recording Victor Herbert's The Lady of the Slipper. We had just returned from lunch break.

In 2001 I was working in the Research & Statistics Division of the Indiana Dept of Labor.....there was a radio bulletin about a plane crashing into one of the twin towers....and then it just got worse from there.
They brought in a television and we saw the second plane crash.....
We went home early.....I had to drive by the airport to get home and I was a bit apprehensive.
-
Last night of course I was hoping President Harris would say something like - we would have done all of these things except that you instructed your minions in Congress to not pass any legislation to accomplish them.....

From DR Jrand:
I saw the last couple of questions and the final comments of the debate.....and it went as I hoped it would.....the choice is clear to anyone with a working mind.......
Sadly I think his supporters will continue to believe his crazy lies that I think he actually believes.

At the state, we are to refrain from discussing politics at all.
-
And I like it that way.
-
Woke up very late this morning (not a great night of sleep), and so am frantically playing catchup.
-
.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven hours of sleep. I may try for another couple.
-
If you stay in bed instead of making it, are you at least celebrating hot cross buns?
-
Well, at least buns.
-
Buns of Steel.
-
Perhaps not.
-
Since DR vixmom appears to be at work, it seems she did not win the MegaMillions.
-
*sigh*
-
I was in bed on 9/11 when the phone rang. It was my engineer Vinnie - he said, "It's the end of the world - turn on the TV." That's how I saw the second plane go into the building. We were scheduled to fly to NYC two days later to do two live recording sessions - Donna McKechnie and Klea Blackhurst. We cancelled and rescheduled for a couple of weeks later, but it was VERY unnerving to fly even then.
-
Random question of the day:
Why, in Whistle Down the Wind, does the lyricist rhyme "here" with "underwear"?
-
It seems I was worried about last night's debate needlessly.
-
I had just gotten back from a trip to Maine, and I still had my sea legs from the boat trip. I had gone swimming at the Y that morning when word started to get out. I headed to the newsroom . The TVs weren't, so I turned one on to CNN and told the two or three co-workers what was happening. The TVs never went off after that.
-
Onward!
-
Three!
-
It wasn't until later that I learned Mom and Dad were stuck at JFK. They had missed their connecting flight to Ireland the night before. They were stuck there for a week while the airport was closed off to anyone arriving or departing. My sister and her husband eventually drove up from Virginia and picked them up.
-
The near-misses of travel were all around me. Kristi's dad had just been on his first real trip in years, to visit relatives in - oh good grief, I forget and I'm not going to look it up just now - the little islands off the coast of Germany (is that right?). Anyway, his flight had made it back to JFK just hours before, or who knows how many days and complication it would have taken for him to return. At work, we had people in California who were scheduled to fly back here that very day, and then everything was grounded. It took them a long time even to find an available rental car, which they finally did, and they just hit the road. I don't think they even stopped anywhere to sleep, they just took turns driving.
-
Twenty-three years ago my alarm went off tuned to my favorite jazz station, KCSM. The morning DJ Alisa Clancy came on and said something like, "If you're just joining us, you don't want to be here right now. Go turn on your TV. When you're ready, we'll be here for you."
-
Back from banking. I have a one-thirty phone thing and I'll go to the mail place right after that. Thinking about eating now rather than later.
-
As soon as I unpacked my travel necesseties, I lay down with Thatch and Stella and slept for an hour or so.
-

At first I read this as you thought she was given the questions ahead of time. I read that from someone ahead of the debate since it was report Harris was preparing for it. ::)

I think that is an excellent policy.

Watching planes take off and land all day long, I'm trying to imagine what the silence would have been like on 9/11 :'(

I was living with my sister and niece at the time, and I was awakened by my sister yelling, "Oh, my God! Oh, my god!" Over and over again.

Random question of the day:
Why, in Whistle Down the Wind, does the lyricist rhyme "here" with "underwear"?
That's a very good question.
Was it perhaps written by an underwear wolf?

Where wolf?
There wolf.

I'm not enjoying The God of the Woods.

In a couple of ways, very nice day. Otherwise, feeling lethargic. I had some Rite Aid pistachio nut ice cream a couple of hours ago and it is not sitting well with Ye Olde Tummy.

Great that it's been a very nice day.
But sending tummy vibes!

Watching a Diane Keaton film called Unstrung Heroes. I hadn’t seen it since it opened. Sweet movie. Nice performances.

Tummy vibes for BK.

Pistachio ice cream sounds good.

But I had pie instead.

Back from a little errand.
-
Not a big errand.
-
Dunno if I'll watch anything tonight.
-
We'll see how I feel.
-
I had one chicken breast and wing from California Chicken Cafe - very good - and a small thing of their chicken pasta salad.
-
And the ice cream.
-
Funnily, as I pulled into the driveway an actual ice cream truck came down the street.

Not very sporting.

That's really cool.
-
Maybe I'll try to find a documentary or something. Not in the mood for a movie, although I'd stream Trap if it wasn't 19.98. I will never understand who would pay that much - all the other new movies are reasonable.
-
Oh well, what can you do?
-
Other than what you can do.
-
You can't do what you can't do.
-
I'm quite tired.
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
I'm kicking up my heels as we speak.
-
But I really should be in bed.
-
In fact, I'm fixing to head there now.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Watching the fourth season of Arrested Development. Sadly, it's not very funny.
-
Well I can't recommend CHIMP CRAZY on HBO/MAX......those people are crazy......
-
Rehearsal was fine....but they need an audience.
-
Continued feel better vibes for MR BK & DR singdaw.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Have you noticed if they have torn down Television City as yet?
-
Just packed up a box of books. That's two. Can't tell any difference.
-
Rehearsal was fine....but they need an audience.
Great to hear the progress!
-
Good night, all.
-
I don't believe Television City is gone yet.
-
But I'll check later.
-
Must write some notes.
-
Tonight's An Inspector Calls rehearsal went well.
-
We had our inspector, so that was good.
-
We still don't have our Eric, but he'll be back in a couple of weeks.
-
I almost forgot that we won't have any rehearsal next week!
-
The director said that too many people had conflicts then, so we actually started this week (which was early) and I guess that this will add some extra rehearsals to almost make up what will be missed next week.
-
Again with the page six malarky.
-
Page six is a big NO.
-
How long has this been going on?
-
Not very sporting.
-
Sporting it ain't.
-
Standing on the corner, waiting for the page to turn.
-
And waiting.
-
And waiting.
-
This is a LONG wait.
-
A weighty wait.
-
But now the wait and the weight is over because page seven, which, by the way, I do not care for, has made its entrance.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
There might be mirth in the them.
-
Hard to tell.
-
Someone will keep me apprised.
