Well, you've read the notes, the notes were up and down, and now it is time for you to post until the up and down cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HAPPENING!
-
At least I got the notes up and the topic changed.
-
Barely.
-
And still nothing from the guy who needs to fix it. I just sent another text saying this was completely unacceptable.
-
Ridic.
-
Well, we'll see how it goes.
-
I'm told it's fixed but am waiting to hear what it was THIS time. I told him we have to fix this.
-
More server attacks. What do these jerks who do this get out of it? For the fun?
-
And George must be having server attacks, since he hasn't come back yet.
-
I see him here and yet he is not here.
-
We need the rest of the George story.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept relatively well. Thatch was very cuddly last night, and Annabelle slep[t on her princess pillow without letting my restlessness bother her.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Impressive that we still got to 8 pages yesterday, despite the site being up and down.
-
I had this strange dream set in a nice suburban tree-filled landscapre, somewhere between Trenton Ohio and Middletown Ohio. The beginning and setup are largely forgotten, something about a relatively young child with reading (?) issues whom I had driven to his nice suburban home. I might have been his tutor, and there was a card - get well, thank you - to be signed. The child's mother was a real estate agent, I think, and she was preparing a dinner party. For reasons I no longer recall, I put the card into the oven, and when I opened the oven door, there was a human leg, from knee to toe, roasting. It was the maion course for the dinner party. I wasn't surprisded ore upset - the dream was not a frightening nightmare - but the mother wqas m,ostly concerned about the cooking time.
-
Upson Downs.
-
That certainly is a strange dream, DR elmore3003.
-
I must finish "Everything's coming up rosesd" today. I had a major glitch yesterday when both Annabelle anbd Stella decided that they needed my attention and affection more than I needed to work.
-
That certainly is a strange dream, DR elmore3003.
It's the setup that, if I'd had the same dream forty years ago, would end up with me trying to escape cannibalistic murderers.
-
I'm off to work.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning
-
I have up trying to access the site, glad to see I was able to get in relatively easily this morning
-
I am on the middle of a purge/ reorganization project

Tomorrow, a day of HELL:
I'm on jury duty call in Bridgeport, CT, at 7:30 am, eastern, and that's an hour drive plus getting into the parking garage and over to the courthouse. You do the math.
Plus, unlike state or local courts, no phones or anything else electronic can be brought in. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. And I'm theoretically there till 4 pm, at which time I drive another hour and a half to play a set of auditions. You can kill me now.
As a result, I won't be online - at all - on Monday, at least till sometime in the evening.
-
What a drag, DR ChasSmith.

Can you have ice cream in the cone, or do you just have to eat the cone all by itself?
-
And who decides these things?
-
So, this is fair warning that I will be E&T tomorrow.
I don't know how you're going to get through the day without me, but you'll have to try. Chins up! Hang in there! I know you can do it!
-
Now we're going to have glitter in our TEETH, too?
-
KJitty cleanup is over. I must make the bed and get to work.

BK, The Trap, which sounds dreadful, also sounds much like one of the very worst musicals I've ever seen, The News, from 1985. Only in this case the yong girl was the daughter of a newspaper editor-in-chief of the newspaperting on the killings, rather than the serial killer. I saw the show with Dona Vaughn (of the Vocal Minority in the OBC of Company). At intermission, she turned to me and said, I wish he'd kill me and put me out of my misery. We had to stay since we were comped in by one of the producers.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I almost went to see The News. Glad I missed it.
-
.
"National Online Recovery Day" sounds appropriate and optimistic, given the ups and downs of this site yesterday!
-
ChasSmith, just for you we shall soldier on.
-
In doing a Google search on The News, I discovered there was a London production the year after it's four performances on Broadway. Why?
-
These are the imponderables of our lives.

Not feeling like moving yet.

Happy Autumnal Equinox, everybody.
It is also the first day of Fall...and days are already getting shorter,
-
The view is great from up here!

Well FFA is over. Words were said in circle, hugs were given.
The stage crew said they wanted to strike the physical set on Sunday at 1 p.m. - so we gave the theeder a good cleaning.....green room, dressing rooms, theeder itself, lobby and restrooms.
This was accomplished in about an hour.....then we all had pizza and free drinks from the box office refrigerator....and gabbed until about 12:45 p.m.
It was much fun.
The season is OVER! Good performance last night and a fair audience. I think our best audience and performance was Friday night - the night of the engagement.
-
I have an appointment at 10:20 a.m. for my Covid Vaccination and Flu shot.
When I woke up, it was 10:05. I jumped up and rushed around trying to get ready and was in a panic....and then I realized that the appointment is MONDAY and today is SUNDAY......

Good morning! There's a new Broadway Radio Show up on the site for your entertainment. This week, I am joined by the multi-talented Chilina Kennedy who is not only a talented Broadway performer (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Great Gatsby, and Paradise Square), but is also a terrific songwriter. She and I chat about Wild About You, a new musical for which she has written the score. The concept recording deluxe edition is coming out this week and the show had a hugely successful concert production in London and is, hopefully, headed to Broadway in the near future. Check it out!

Gene Tierney's part is virtually non-existent, so why profile her? Ginger Rogers is actively bad, so talking about her stretching herself as an actress is laughable.

DR ChasSmith, your day from hrll sounds appalling. Why is jury duty so unsympathetic to folk taking an hour to drive there? That's ridiculous.

In 1966, I saw Ginger Rogers on Broadway in Hello, Dolly! after seeing Mary Martin in the national tour in 1965. I was underwhelmed by Rogers' performance.

I always thought her range was limited, the worst being when she recited La Marseillese (sp?) in Barkleys of Broadway.

Tonight's our first performance of the new season. My wife and I will be singing in a Schoenberg recital-lecture series in Berkeley. Our chorus will sing Friede auf Erden and Dreimal tausend Jahre. We'll actually sing each piece twice, with a lecture and examples in between. I've never done something like this before. Friede is a gorgeous romantic piece of early Schoenberg, while Dreimal is a late serial piece.

When I was going to Western Washington University and in the WWU Concert Choir, one of our composition instructors wrote a choral piece in Latin, but it was all nonsense grammar. He used actual Latin words but put them together so that they sounded like English. Before we sang the piece, he explained what he did, and said that we would sing it twice because a listener can't always hear what's going on the first time.
-
So we sang it once, then he said a few words before we sang it again. It really made a difference, even as a performer, to go through the performance twice.

RIP - Kathryn Crosby, 90
-
And that’s it for me, till… maybe late tomorrow night?
Have a fine Monday, everyone.
-
Eight!
-
Starting something called The Amazing Dr. Clitterhouse, which is not a porn flick. And it is not endorsed by a certain candidate for North Carolina governor.
-
It does star Edward G. Robinson, Claire Trevor and Humphrey Bogart.
-
Anyone planning to watch the Matlock reboot with Kathy Bates?
-
We might.
-
I like Bates.
-
'night
-
I may go see Doug Emhoff tomorrow. He’s coming to otown. I hope my agreeing to go is not contingent upon a major donation.
-
In the backyard, one of the bougainvilleas.
-
The plumbago
-
And the sage I planted yesterday.
-
I’ve wanted sage for awhile, but haven’t found it at a reasonable price.
-
This year they’ve been exceptionally beautiful.
-
It’s funny, but Edward G. Robinson appears to be perfectly at home in white tie, which is most definitely not his image.
-
It was supposed to cool off this week, but the forecast has been revised.
-
Lovely photos from your garden, DR John G.
-
In the nineties too many days ahead.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Millstone!
-
CONGRATULATIONS on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament, DR John G.!!!!!!
-
Great photos DR JOHN G.
-
DR RODZINSKI the result of the COLTS game astonished and pleased me as well.
-
I hope MR BK's dinner was pleasant.
-
Congrats to DR GEORGE on his historic millstone.
-
The pair of keets are covered and it is time for a good night.
-
Sunday is a good day.
-
Restful vibes to DR Ginny.
Thank you, DR Rodzinski! You might find it amusing that my recent Netflix binge was a rewatch of the entirety of “Six Feet Under.”
Ha! One of the deepest dives into the biz!

For the October issue of my mag, I recently wrote the true story of a leg (also from knee-to-toe) that one of my sisters found in the cemetery between our elementary school and our home.
David Lynch would like to have a word with your sister.
It was actually when Blue Velvet came out that I checked in with my sisters and dad to make sure if that had really happened and we saw what we saw. Because it wasn’t something we discussed much after it happened. Then we were like “Ear? Big deal!”

DR RODZINSKI the result of the COLTS game astonished and pleased me as well.
Twas nice to get that first win.
-
Dear Iris, if you’re out there, we miss you!
-
Page NINE.
-
I may go see Doug Emhoff tomorrow. He’s coming to otown. I hope my agreeing to go is not contingent upon a major donation.
That would be really cool if you do go, John! (And hopefully, it won't require a major donation! ::) )
;D

Lovely photos from your garden, DR John G.
Agreed! Quite delightful flora!
-
Millstone!
Congrats, John! ;D
-
Congrats to DR GEORGE on his historic millstone.
Thanks, Jrand!
-
Congrats to John G and others on their goldstones.
-
I, on the other hand, am here.
-
Finished writing the notes, which discuss something VERY important.
-
Imperative reading.
-
Must-see notes.
-
Page nine is lovely.
-
But I have the feeling we can best that number.
-
Although it will take some doing.
-
But I'm here to lead the team to victory.
-
Go, team, go.
-
Where the HELL is the team?
-
The team has beat a hasty retreat.
-
The team has taken a hiatus.
-
So, it will be up to the team captain to get us there.
-
But I'm feeling my oats and feel we can DO this.
-
My oats have been felt and I'm not sure they enjoyed it.
-
They just tried to cancel me for said feeling of the oats.
-
What kind of world is it where we can suddenly to taken to task for copping an oat feel?
-
The word has gone to rack and to ruin.
-
George, of course, has disappeared and is most likely eating a burrito.
-
I am NOT eating a burrito.
-
I did have some tap tap tapioca pudding, for a sweet, but I'm still majorly full from dinner.
-
I think we're close.
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
See?
-
As Barry Manilow once sang, Looks like we made it.
-
Page ten is a nice round number.
-
I'm quite a nice round number myself.
-
Could be the garlic cheese bread and the pound of tartar sauce.
-
It's hard to know.
-
I think a Pepcid may be in order.
-
It just may be. Perhaps even two.
-
But not back to back.
-
One Pepcid at a time.
-
That is the Pepcid way.
-
New notes will be up at the stroke of midnight.
-
Perhaps George has zonked out.
-
Perhaps he is searching for his jam.
-
But aren't we all searching for our jams?
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
