Well, you've read the notes, the notes celebrated that which needed celebrating, and now it is time for you to post until the celebrated cows come home.

And the word of the day is: BOISTEROUS!

~~~Continued Vibes for a Modern Major Miracle!!~~~
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept okay. I had a long dream that I was working on a Biblical picture but I remermber little about it now. I was living in an apartment in a dilapidated building with not enough light, too many doors, and a ghost.
-
Today, Joshie is bringing me the first baby June vaudeville sequence.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I slept okay, but woke a couple of times after having several amazing bizarre dreams. I'm still remembering most of them. Unfortunately, to tell them would take more time and effort than is ever going to happen. It would take pages to describe sources and backgrounds for each scene. But wow, what a night.
-
Drat! The Cat! designer vibes for BK!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Tuesday.
-
Slept well. Had a dream that a lost John Huston movie called Scandinavians was discovered. It started with a person mistaken for a spy getting shot in one eye. The treatment opens up new realms of sensory perception. It wasn't a lost masterpiece, but it was interesting.
-
Tuesday.
Yup.
-
Tuesday.
Yesterday felt a bit like a Sunday somehow, maybe because of no mail and a lot of people off from work.
-
Thanks, BK, for the info on how to find those online shows.
-
I'm not seeing any YouTubes uploaded on the "haineshisway" channel in May 2020, though. Is it possible you have it on "unlisted" mode?
-
Good morning!
Wordle: Missed today!
So did I.
-
I'm up, I'm up - four hours of sleep. Was up at five and couldn't go back to sleep.
-
All the online Kritzerland shows are on my channel and easy to find. Click on "LIVE" rather than videos - they're all there in one place. The May show is called Kritzerland at Home - but if you somehow missed all of them - you should watch 'em all because they're amazing. We were the first online show in the pandemic to have zero technical issues EVER. People were writing me and calling me asking how we managed that. We weren't talking until the very end. Some people figured out some of it but no one figured out all of it.
-
I was looking on VIDEOS. I'll look under LIVE.
This was the update on Playbill, regarding Jim Morgan at the York.
https://playbill.com/article/james-morgan-responds-to-allegations-following-resignation-as-yorks-producing-artistic-director
-
And here's the link to the New York Times article
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/14/theater/james-morgan-york-theater.html
"York Theater Artistic Director Out After ‘Hurtful’ Diversity Comments
James Morgan, who has been with the small New York theater company for 50 years, blamed the effects of a stroke for his behavior."
Loved Kerry O'Malley's rendition and your telling of the story!
It's almost noon (Eastern time)
-
It's getting pretty late to not be at page 2 yet.
-
What is this, singdaw's vacation or something? :)
-
We must get to page 2 before noon.
We must! (a Doris Day Pillow Talk title song reference)
Page Two!
Seriously, has anyone been in touch with DR Iris?
She was having some health concerns last time she posted, and it's been a very long time.
-
The temperature is headed into the 90s again today, but tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 79. I’ll believe it when I feel it.
-
Just watched a half-baked thriller called Phobia. Paul Michael Glaser gave a wooden performance, though that might be too critical of wood.
From George:
I have no idea how Coke-flavored Oreos with popping candy will actually taste. :-\
I don't think I want to find out ;D
Our musical THE LAST STARFIGHTER opened 20 years ago at New York's Storm Theatre, October 15 2004. So many great memories!
Thanks to BK and Kritzerland for producing the original cast album.
http://www.kritzerland.com/starfighter.htm
And also thanks to BK for flying to NYC and co-starring (in the Dan O'Herlihy role from the movie) in our staged reading at NYMF in 2006.
The most recent production was in Dec. 2022 in Cleveland, and we're hoping there will be many more in the future.
Back from a nice breakfast, a CVS run for various and sundried things, and then a quick and fortuitous stop at Gelson's - Diet Coke sale started, six bucks a twelve-pack if you buy two. I bought four. That's half price.
-
I enjoyed doing The Last Starfighter.
-
Too damn long for Dear Reader Iris - wish she'd return.
-
What is this page two malarky?
-
Not very sporting.
-
Seems either downright or down left wrong.
-
I now have "Baby June and Her Newsboys." After Joshie left, I took my bath and then fed the cats their dinner. They ate very little. Clearly, Fancy Feast Cod, Sole, abd Shrimp paté is not to their liking, so I will not be serving that again.
-
I bought a pint of gingerbread cookie dough ice cream today. I like the gingerbread part fine, but the cookie dough part is odd.
But Oreo Cakesters are terrific.
I've seen those and was tempted to try them.
-
Instead I purchased a small pack of regular Oreo's on our trip. It satisfied my craving for Oreo's.
Only problem with the cakesters is that they pack them in packages of two, so it's nearly impossible to have just one and save the other one for later, let alone another day :)
I think Freddie should watch the online 10th anniversary show - it's pretty great. Also, I think it's the June 2020 show that celebrated my book of lyrics.
-
Back from the mail place - picked up a small package from my brother.
Where'd everybody get to?
But we must have some action, some ha cha cha.
It is not looking good. Keith has one more chance to get Wordle.
Wordle in six.
Good evening.
I think it was actually under 100 degrees today.
A friend invited me out to a steakhouse tonight. I've wanted a steak for a while, so this should be a nice break.
DR Laura, I hope you keep a sweater with you for just such occasions.
I really enjoyed seeing it in concert at the New Musicals Festival in Issaquah and the full production at that other theater that I don't remember the name of.
Keith is about to do Wordle. He told me, supposedly, this is the most difficult Wordle ever.
I got this one in 5 guesses, and a couple of days ago, couldn't get it at all.
-
Off to rehearsal!
-
And we're STILL on page three?
-
Really?
-
What is going on here this week?
-
Is this a holiday week celebrating Sonny Tufts?
-
Vera Hruba Ralston?
-
Is it Polish Sausage Day or something?
-
This is ridic.
-
I had my BLTA and a bit of ice cream, both very nice.
-
Still on page four?
-
Still sunny today, but cooler and breezier.
-
What is going on around here?
-
Not very sporting.
-
Unusual even.
-
Unusual odd.
-
Odds bodkins.
-
Still, we got in two good beach walks and came home with an assortment of shells.
-
Our potential view of the meteor was obscured by clouds.
-
We don't want to impede our trajectory to soon be the most popular site on all the Internet.
-
THAT would be egregious.
-
Egregiously egregious.
-
I'm sort of full right now.
-
There's an amateur astronomer in the family.
-
Well, forget the "sort of."
-
I AM full.
-
I am what I am.
-
I'm a big ham
-
But I'll win a Tony.
-
He's got a telescope here, but it can't overcome the clouds.
-
If I sing real loud, act up storm.
Will they think I'm phony?
-
I am full, too.
-
What am I, George Hearn all of a sudden?
-
I like when he yells in the song - I thought he was going to get a Hearn-ia.
-
We don't allow groaning here at haineshisway.com
-
Of chocolate brownie, a la mode, with homemade chocolate sauce over the top.
-
I think we're gettin' off this damn page in record time.
-
Or maybe cassette time.
-
Or CD time.
-
Or Arthur Miller Time.
-
See?
-
We whizzed right through that damn page, didn't we?
-
Dinner consisted of flounder stuffed with crab, fresh Jersey tomatoes, and homemade corn salad.
-
Now, where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Eating burritos?
-
Fish burgers?
-
We need answers.
-
We need posts.
-
I need to use the ool and eep.
-
Right now.
-
Speaking of burritos, I ordered one days ahead of the flight on my Delta app. But on the flight, they said they had no record of it.
-
My sister had her cat here, "Mini." Mini is formerly feral and quite skittish.
-
Was Herman Wouk woke?
-
Did President Polk polka?
-
Does James Caan eat pecans?
-
How green was Lorne Greene's valley?
-
DR John G., I also enjoyed Kelly Bishop's memoir, "TheThird Gilmore Girl."
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Keith is about to do Wordle. He told me, supposedly, this is the most difficult Wordle ever.
Surprising.
Still, we got in two good beach walks and came home with an assortment of shells.
Lovely.
There's an amateur astronomer in the family.
That is convenient. Too bad your don't have a clear view.
-
He's got a telescope here, but it can't overcome the clouds.
Nope-lol
-
I am full, too.
So am I.
-
Of chocolate brownie, a la mode, with homemade chocolate sauce over the top.
Yum!
-
Was Herman Wouk woke?
Probably ;D
My sister had her cat here, "Mini." Mini is formerly feral and quite skittish.
Awww, poor sweet thing.
Not even if the groaning adds to the page count?
-
Of chocolate brownie, a la mode, with homemade chocolate sauce over the top.
Yum! Sounds really good.
-
Now, where in tarnation IS everyone?
I was watching the Kritzerland 10th anniversary show. It was (and still is) fantastic.
-
The Sondheim "what-if" medley section is brilliant, BK!
-
Your song with Adryan Russ was a real highlight, too.
-
And between your hilarious Phantom/Sunset Blvd mash-up (and your pronouncing Sunset BUH-le-vard before the finale) - I may not need to spend $200 or $300, since I don't need to see the current "Sunset Boulevard" revival.
-
So many highlights, though. Thanks for leading me to it.
-
'night
-
Also:
The people dropping in to wish you and the Kritzerland show happy 10th anniversary were lovely, with Richard Sherman's especially touching looking at it today. Lorna Luft's was truly hilarious. And I loved Rupert Holmes' timing in the drop-in by him.
-
Good night, Jane.
-
Speaking of burritos, I ordered one days ahead of the flight on my Delta app. But on the flight, they said they had no record of it.
Did they have something you like instead of that?
-
Back from dinner. Had a New York strip, a salad with green goddess dressing and some really good mashed potatoes.
-
Now watching The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
-
Of course, the soundtrack is sublime.
-
It actually feels cooler outside. Maybe that front is coming in.
-
I am what I am.
I'm a big ham
I ham what I ham. ;D
-
Of chocolate brownie, a la mode, with homemade chocolate sauce over the top.
Yum!! :D
-
Fish burgers?
I drove through McDonald's and had a Filet-O-Fish on my way up to Tacoma.
-
That was quite delish...no complaints about the fish sammich.
-
And the diet Coke that I had with it was refreshingly refreshing.
-
TOD
I don't like boozy ice cream. Rum raisin is fine, but I prefer it made with a drop of imitation rum extract and not actual rum. The same with daiquiri ice.
-
I do like fruit ice creams that use exotic fruits like ube or jackfruit.
-
Now that the holiday season is here, I enjoy peppermint by itself or with chocolate chips in it. It's a little different from mint chocolate chip, which I also eat with gusto.
-
My problem is that the more ingredients an ice cream has, the sweeter it seems to be.
-
The Mexican ice cream places near me have flavors like rompopo, which is a type of eggnog, and gansito, made from a candy bar with chocolate on the outside and both jelly and a cookie inside.
-
I do love a key lime pie ice cream, with buttery strands of graham cracker crumbs streaked through a creamy lime base.
-
And I love me some sorbet. Mom's favorite was always a scoop of lemon and a scoop of strawberry.
-
J.B. isn't picky. He likes any that doesn't have chocolate in it. But cinnamon and ginger are sorta foreign to him. I guess his favorite is mango from Haagen Dazs.
-
In Chile, I remember ordering a salad with avocado and celery. It arrived with a scoop each or avocado ice cream and celery ice cream. Most unique and delicious.
-
In Chile, I also had a steak with mashed potatoes on the side. The hot potatoes were served with blue cheese ice cream on top that were supposed to melt into each other.
-
Another Chilean treat was a chocolate-habanero blend that was hot and creamy at the same time.
-
Seven!
-
I didn’t realize this movie was three hours long.
-
I will have to finish it tomorrow.
-
Good night, all.
-
TOD: Chocolate in many varieties is my favorite, then fruit sorbets. In the exotic category I've loved the Guinness ice cream at Toscanini's in Cambridge, Mass. (Although Gus confessed they actually use Mackeson stout as its sweetness works better.)
-
Emack & Bolio's used to make a fantastic "Sorry Honey, Can't Elope" flavor but I haven't seen that for years? Decades?
-
I am not caught up
-
My life has been a whirlwind of activity lately
-
Tonight WFO and I went to see George Takei at a local cinema
-
We had a lovely time but now I must sleep
Ah, the page that shall not be named.
-
Although, there ARE a few things I could name it, but I must write some damn notes.
-
Of course, no George.
-
What else is new?
-
He and his jam are elsewhere.
-
Not here.
-
Wonder if a burrito is involved.
-
Well, if you think we're going to end on the page that shall not be named, think again.
-
If I have to tote that barge and lift that bale I damn well will.
-
Even if it gives me a George Hearn-ia.
-
I will keep on posting until the cows come home.
-
Because George is not pulling his weight.
-
I just pulled my weight - and believe me, there's plenty to pull these days.
-
I look like a beached whale.
-
I'm still trying to lose weight.
Pulling does no good.
See?
Not very sporting.
I was watching the Kritzerland 10th anniversary show. It was (and still is) fantastic.
I totally agree! Too bad they can't be officially released.
-
And neither is George.
-
Ridic.
-
Tonight's run-through went well...for the most part.
-
Oh, look what the cat dragged in.
-
And neither is George.
I has arrived!
-
Oh, look what the cat dragged in.
No...I dragged myself in.
-
Cats being a big part of haineshisway.com
-
George is like a cat on a hot tin roof.
-
George is wearing the cat's pajamas.
I was sorting some CDs, musicals versus non-musicals) and found my Barcelona cast recording of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (https://castalbums.org/recordings/Sweeney-Todd-El-barber-diabolic-del-carrer-Fleet-1995-Original-Barcelona-Cast/2025/).
;D
And I am the cat's meow.
What a piece of work is man.
-
That's Shakespeare, you know.
-
I wonder if Shakespeare ever shook a spear?
-
The actors were supposed to be off-book, but not all were.
-
Most were close, though, so the director didn't mind a couple of people holding their scripts.
-
We open a week from Friday! :o
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I'm not worried about what I have to do. I get to keep my script with me. ;)
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And now I shall change the topic.
-
It must be done.
-
Wait!! Since we're so close...
-
One cannot delay the inevitable.
-
PAGE NINE DANCE!!
-
Page nine has made its entrance.
-
One cannot delay the inevitable.
It should be delayed whenever the next page is SO close!!
-
And now that a new page has been revealed, all is right with the world!
