Well, you've read the notes, the notes had to be perked up, and now it is time for you to post until the perky cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EXPOSITORY!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
George got cut off mid-thought.
-
It happens.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
Hopefully, he'll finish his thought.
-
I used to be young.
-
And yet, I still am young at heart and in spirit and I don't feel a day over seventy-six.
-
That will be changing very soon.
-
Like six weeks or so.
-
May have to take one more Pepcid.
-
I've had several already.
-
George got cut off mid-thought.
I did. I was aiming to get to a Gratuitous Post #250, but I didn't make it, so I deleted the effort. ::)

Good morning, all!
-
I slept well until 4:30 when I needed a bathroom break. I lay back down with Annabelle an d tried to get back to sleep, but I knew the alarm wopuld ring in another 40 minutes. At 5:00, I decided to get up and dress.
-
Later in the morning, Access-a-Ride will take me to my podiatrist. I really Dr Cortrado, and I look forward to seeing her.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I’m up and at ‘em early so I can follow Kristi to the car place and take her to work,
-
I'm up, but not at 'em!
I don't usually get up earlier unless I have a drive to get to an appointment.
Still, it's nice to be up while it's still cool outside. It's 47 degrees Fahrenheit. Brrrr.

I wonder if anyone else here watches "Only Murders in the Building".
We are up to episode eight of 10 this week.
This season's episodes titles are actually movie titles.
This week's episode is called "Lifeboat". While the episode is not based on Hitchcock's film, there are references to it that liken the situation of strangers stranded in boat with the cast of "Only Murders..." in their current story arc.
Fun.
-
Wednesday.
Yesterday was a day. And I am glad it's over.
-
In about half an hour, I have to go to the bank.
On the way home I will drive by the polling place and if the line isn't all the way out to the street - I may do my early voting.

But by describing the effort, you helped get today off to a promising posting start.

Back home, and I see I left a dangling comma instead of a period up there. ^^^
Oh well, too bad. I'm not touching it now. It can just sit there on display for posterity.
-
Prayers for a very needed modern major miracle for BK!

With 239 Guests now viewing this board, there could be a lot of people in the future who see the dangling comma, so it's good that you explained it.
-
Are the 239 Guests still awake from last night, or do they wake up and by 9 a.m. (Eastern time) say we must get on HHW and read old Notes and old discussions?
-
Good morning, all.

Two!
-
Slept poorly. Long bout of being wide awake.

I'm reaching a millstone of 6,000. Will someone be able to take photographic evidence for posterity?

Somehow it feels like I've been here longer than that.

Congrats to DR FREDDIE on his millstone.

Home in twenty minutes including a stop at the bank drive-thru....then to the polling place.
It was a lively crowd....only about four folks in front of me....and I was assisted by a nice lady - older than I....and did my thing.

Congratulations, Freddie.

I got the Covid booster and the next day, the wifely darling tests positive for Covid. Huddled up with the kids, but there’s a good chance we three had mild cases in the 2 weeks before. Who knows? Too soon for my vax to help me. We’ll see how it goes…

Hi Laura!

Good afternoon.
Good afternoon.

I was not a fan of the Alicia Keyes segment on the Tonys. Surprisingly, I am really enjoying the Hell's Kitchen cast recording. I don't know her music at all.
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of sleep, e-mails answered, texts answered, and now on my way to lunch with David Wechter.

Yes DR CHAS SMITH when it comes to being au courant - I am the first hog to the trough.

There are a couple of good hockey games on tv tonight....and some scary movies on TCM.
-
Donde esta everyone?
-
The whole Civil War part of The Good, the Bad … is boring me. The last hour is sluggish.
-
Got new thank-you notes in the mail today. Unlike my remaining notes cards, these do not have dead fish on them.
-
I think that’s a plus.
-
To get us to page 4, I thought maybe the list of "9 Movies to Watch for Succot and Simchat Torah"
-
The list includes "The Prince of Egypt" and "Keeping the Faith"
https://allpagesandpictures.com/2022/12/31/9-movies-to-watch-for-sukkot-and-simchat-torah/
-
but the other movies, I'd never heard of.
-
So maybe the thing to do is just pray we get to page 4 before BK gets back
-
He'd probably say something like "Page 3? What is this - Succot or something?"
-
It's not like page 3 is uncared-for like page 7, is it?
-
Now, we are closer to page 4
-
So maybe we can get there without much ado
-
Is it page 4 yet?
-
Oh, here's page 4!
-
The Succot movie list cheats a bit.
-
About "The Prince of Egypt," it addresses the tough issue head-on:
"You might be thinking, isn’t this a Passover story? You’d be right. However, while the events detailed in the story predate the Torah itself, this is still an important movie about Jewish identity, and celebrating the freedom that Judaism holds so dear. "
-
So maybe any Jewish-themed movie can be a Succot movie.
-
The ending of the movie was quite good. Made up for a lackluster half hour.
-
Now starting I Walked with a Zombie, a recent Criterion release.
-

I agree.

John G, is everything going smoothly with being an executor? Has it been a lot of work?

Not really.

I am hopelessly behind.
-
As in, not caught up.

Good night, friends.

And others.
-
Now starting I Walked with a Zombie, a recent Criterion release.
I wonder if "I Married an Angel" could have a revisal as "I Married a Zombie."
-
Lunch was grand.
-
Went to Barone's.
-
Had my usual salad and carbonara - no bread.
-
Excellent. David had some eggplant thing, which he loved.
-
Turns out, he'd never been to Barone's.
-
What ARE we doing on page four?
-
John G, is everything going smoothly with being an executor? Has it been a lot of work?
No, it hasn't been too much work. It's more of a waiting game. But there's no probate. Everything was in the trust. I had to stop her German pension and file for the one-time Social Security survivor benefit. Lots of thank-you notes to write. A few more forms.
-
.
Oh, a day for me: National Fossil Day
-
'night
-
The script for Zombie isn't great. The acting is decidedly B grade. But the atmosphere and cinematography are excellent.
-
Onward!

Hello
-
Last night WFO and I went here

-
Then he gave a talk and held a Q&A
-
Afterwards he signed the books we received included in the price of admission

Covid free vibes for the Rodzinskis
-
Monday I got up early and showered and dressed and drove to work
-
Traffic was heavier than I had expected for Columbus. a day and I ended up being ten minutes late to work
-
Therefore I was surprised when I entered our suite (which we share with another firm) to see that I was the first one in.
-
I realized traffic was annoyingly heavy but …
-
Then someone from the other firm said, “ oh I thought you guys were off today”
-
So I called my boss, who confirmed that we were indeed closed for the holiday
-
So I went out to my car and. Allen my auto mechanic
-
Since that morning two warning lights had popped up my dashboard
-
The oil light and the tire pressure light
-
Not the oil light that causes panic , the kind that means it’s time for an oil change
-
The mechanic was NOT closed for the holiday
-
And they said they could “fit me in” in about 30 minutes
-
30 minutes, coincidentally, was the amount of time it would take me to get from the office parking lot to the mechanic shop.
-
With time for a stop at Dunkin Donuts
-
Where I bought a dozen donuts for the guys and a Boston Cream and cup of butter pecan decaf for me
-
Juggling everything while trying to get my car unlocked I managed to drop my coffee
-
Although I managed to dance out of the way of the hot coffee
-
After putting the donuts in the car I went back and reordered my coffee
-
The manager had seen what happened and insisted on giving me a replacement cup for free
-
Then I carried on to the mechanics who were quite pleased to be gifted with a box of donuts
-
They changed my oil and discovered a nail in my tire
-
I just bought a complete new set of tires from them in July, so they repaired the tire under warranty
-
They also did a safety inspection and discovered my battery was weak and should be replaced
-
They checked their records and it turned out the battery had been lurched in October of ‘22
-
So they replaced the battery under warranty
-
So I got the day off, an oil changed, a repaired tire and a new battery for $47 and a dozen donuts
-
ALL good news DR VIXMOM!
-
Not bad
-
I must say that HHW is the most excellent website on the internet because of MR BK and those who post here.
-
I am watching American Beauty
-
I never saw it before
-
The hockey games tonight have been most excellent!
-
There isn’t a single likable character in this movie
-
I can’t look away
-
My goodness
-
It’s over
-
And we’re on page 6
-
I’m trying but I do not think I can stretch to page 7
-
I’ve run out of boring stuff to talk about
-
And I have no interesting stuff
-
The house still seems abnormally quiet since the Florida Vixfamily went home

Gratuitous Post #222!!! :D
-
Tonight, we had a pretty good run-through.
-
Several people are off book, but a couple are still using scripts, but not as much as last week, so that's good.
-
For an early dinner, I went to my mom's because she had gotten a gift card (as a gift) from the local casino that she frequents, and she used it to buy me a new coat...and it fit!
-
While I was there, she made me some eggs, bacon, pancakes and toast! ;D
-
It was all quite tasty, even while needing to use garlic butter for the eggs because all her sticks of butter were still frozen.
-
I never would've thought garlic eggs would be good, but they were...I do recommend trying them that way. :)
-
In about half an hour, I have to go to the bank.
On the way home I will drive by the polling place and if the line isn't all the way out to the street - I may do my early voting.
I hope our ballots arrive by the end of the week or early next week.
I got my ballot this past weekend. I need to do some research on the down-ballot measures and candidates before I send it off.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And they are now there to be read.
