Well, you've read the notes, the notes noted the sudden appearance of the jibberish, and now it is time for you to post until the suddenly appearing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PANACHE!
-
And yes, the correct spelling of jibberish is gibberish and ask me if I care. If the G is pronounced like a J then I'm damn well spelling it with a J and I don't care who knows it.
-
2:00 - George must still be trying to do the word thing.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had a good night's sleep, I do believe.
-
Today I will tackle Baby June and her Newsboys. I'd like to get through half of the number, but I won't know how it goes until I get into it.
-
DR Vixmom, you had quite a day off!
-
DR Jrand74, I agree with your assessment: HHW has wonderful folk at its on-going partay.
-
Well, heck! ABS had me out of bed at 6:10 a.m. Why? I'm not sure. I plan on driving to Aiken starting at 8:30 0r 9 because I am returning something to Amazon.com and it must be done at the UPS Store.
Funny how something that has no major deadline can bug me into being wakeful when I should be snoozing.

Kamala Harris was so very good on Fox News yesterday.
Fox News is loathsome, deplorable, extremely stupid, and obvious in all of it to anyone with half a brain.
Sadly, brain size is clearly vastly diminished among its viewers.

Good morning

I am on my way to shopping.....just two stores....and a stop at the bank to make a deposit.....

Today my brother is coming over to put up my new towel rack....he says.

Good morning.

Congratulations, Vixmom. That's a long time.

Happy Anniversary, VM and DH!

More prayers for BK to have a very needed modern major miracle!

John G, so glad to hear being executor hasn't been burdensome for you.

Good morning, all.

Happy Anniversary and Congratulations on your successful Transition, DR vixmom!

Good morning, all.
-
Happy Vixaversary!
-
Two!

DR Rodzinski, if you look back, I believe BK answered your question about Tangerine Dream. As for me, I loved Sorcerer, score included. I also loved Thief at the time of its release, but a recent viewing during covid had far too much violence for me to take anymore. I did appreciate the score on that viewing though.
-
Home from the stores and the meatloaf and potatoes are in the oven.

2:00 - George must still be trying to do the word thing.
I literally fell asleep while trying to do the word thing. ::)

I'm up, I'm up - maybe five hours of sleep - not enough and I may try for another hour or two.
-
Some idiot woman on Facebook, someone who "friended" me at some point, made a post about the debate saying Fox host wiped the floor with Ms. Vice President and two of her friends chimed in and agreed and were so rude. This is how delusional these people are. I unfriended the woman immediately.

RIP - Mitzi Gaynor, 93
-
Yesterday was Boo on Bullies day at a friend's school. Sounds like Harris said Boo in her interview.
-
Back to Zombie. Second half is very effective.
-
Yes we lost Mitzi.......she was always a lot of fun on the talk shows.
One night she was doing a routine on The Tonight Show and fell down....she got up and kept going.....Johnny Carson asked her when she sat down if she was okay....and she said "I guess I shouldn't have had that martini!"

-
DR Vixmom I enjoyed reading about your "adventure" yesterday.
-
It was good you went to work making it convenient to address the car concerns.
-
It was nice of you to buy donuts for the car guys, and for the manager at Dunkin Donuts to replace your coffee.
-
From Vixmom:
So I got the day off, an oil changed, a repaired tire and a new battery for $47 and a dozen donuts
Excellent!
-
The George Takei children's book looks good.
-
DR John, PT VIBES!

Health vibes for the Rodzinski family.
-
DR George wow, you received your ballot.
-
DR Rodzinski, did you receive your ballots yet?

-
BK, have you seen a film from 1943 called The Seventh Victim? It’s now on Criterion and is a slight forerunner of Rosemary’s Baby. It’s Kim Hunter’s first film.

TOD: Pat Metheny. Especially his recordings with the Pat Metheny Group, but also gems like Beyond the Missouri Sky with Charlie Haden.

That's great, Larry!

Good afternoon.
-
Leonard and I like the kitty cat sketches.

I went to a fall plant sale. They are saying we will get rain tomorrow. I'll let the rain soften the hard ground and plant some things.

Good luck & vibes you actually get the expected rain.
-
DR George wow, you received your ballot.
You haven't? ???
Nope :-\
George, it seems if they are mailed from Olympia or Seattle you might get them a day ahead of us.
-
Now it is much longer than that.
-
Maybe they are mailed in groups and we are last on the list.
-
Fingers crossed our ballots arrive tomorrow. It would be awful if we couldn't vote.
-
We have to vote by the 26th or we can't vote.
-
Great sketches as always, DR Elmore. I look forward to seeing the whole book design.
-
I have seen and like The Seventh Victim.
-
Speaking of the seventh victim, just had the ubiquitous computer crash. I knew it was near.
-
We're back up and running now.
-
I had Crustacean for food - their amazing garlic noodles and an appetizer of four crab dumplings - out of this or any other world.
-
I'm wonky today.
-
Really wonky.
-
Haven't felt ready to record - maybe in an hour or so I'll give it a try.
-
I followed another auction today - fine literature. Total morons paying outrageous prices in some cases for books in ratty condition. I'll never understand it - every one of those kinds of books could be found cheaper and in much better condition online.
-
There were no starting bids under 100 bucks. That's a problem right there.
-
Fun watching, though.
-
DR ELMORE nice sketches.
-
TARGETS on TCM tonight.
-
60 degrees now.
NO MORE FREEZE WARNINGS.....WRTV says the growing season is OVER.
-
It is so nice to be done with theeder for the year......my time is my own.....in a sense...there are other things to be done.

~~~Timely Ballot Receiving Vibes for Jane and Keith!!~~~
Thank you.
-
We have only ever missed voting in one or two minor elections and that was due to moving.
-
This election is too important to miss.
-
Of course we are concerned who will be our next president.
-
We are also concerned who will be our next representative in congress, the nice woman who barely beat the nazi last time, or that horrid man with way too much support & money this election.
-
Lovely cat sketch, DR elmore3003.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Was relaxing on the couch. Maybe I'll do some more writing.
-
Maybe I'll try to record.
-
Maybe.
-
Reminds me of that song from Follies:
Too many maybes,
Which one will I do, I don't know, do you?
Thousands of maybes,
Choices to be made...
I am quite literally OVER all things Trump. Most especially his voice, his ridiculous face and that cotton candy bleached hair.
If I feel this way now, whatever will I do IF he is elected.
Quite frankly, I'm considering a move to Canada.
-
Yes, I know...big words, idle threat.
But sick to death I am of this election cycle and the nonsensical lies in every Trump campaign ad.
-
I had a good visit to Aiken this morning.
Arrived at the UPS Store around 9:10 a.m. No line, handed the box to a clerk who gave me an immediate receipt and I was out the door.
i proceeded apace to Sam's Club and got there about 9:35 a.m.
Shopped, bought Li'l Darlings, red table grapes, two packages of Kerrygold butter (one salted and one un), a box of Fat Boy ice cream sammiches and a box of Haagen Dazs chocolate-almond ice cream bars.
Drove home, got my mail and went to lunch at (Don't Be a Square Eat at) The Triangle. I bought two portions of cubed steak (one for din-din) plus a helping of green beans and a helping of rice with milk gravy. YUM. And a roll.
-
I have a haircut appointment tomorrow afternoon, including a beard trim.
Rave review of Lin-Manuel Miranda's latest.
The library box set of Leone's Italian trilogy also included Django Unchained, which I hadn't seen since it was in the theater. I think Tarantino had more dialogue in the first 15 minutes than in all three Leone movies combined.
-
Still I loved it. Revisionist, escapist, whatever you label it, it is exhilarating.
-
My next films from the library are odd: three Clark Gable-Joan Crawford films. First up is Laughing Sinners.
-
I also started a jigsaw puzzle, which is an addiction for me.
-
I haven't done one in more than 15 years for that reason.
-
Onward!
-
Six!
-
Good night, all.
-
Page six???
-
Not very sporting.
-
And a long way to go, but I must write some damn notes.
-
Well, leave it to George not to show up at all.
-
And so, here we sit, barely into page six.
-
To which I say nix.
-
Ridic.
-
We have only ever missed voting in one or two minor elections and that was due to moving.
I've only missed one or two minor elections because I forgot to drop off my ballot. ::)
-
Probably out somewhere eating a burrito and galavanting.
-
This election is too important to miss.
Definitely!
-
Oh, the prodigal George comes home.
-
Tonight, we ran several scenes to help clarify some blocking, which really helped.
-
What is the expression? Better later than never.
-
Then, we ran act two and it took about 57 minutes total.
-
Oh, the prodigal George comes home.
As always.
-
Well, let's see if we can drum up some damn posts.
-
No rehearsal tomorrow, but there's the paper tech on Saturday, then the cue-to-cue on Sunday, then HELL WEEK!! :o
-
If we can't drum them up, maybe we can oboe them up.
-
We must generate some action.
-
I, myself, have been trying to generate some action for twenty years, to no avail.
-
Well, let's see if we can drum up some damn posts.
Here you go:
-
And so has The Randy Vicar.
-
I, myself, have been trying to generate some action for twenty years, to no avail.
I hear ya! ::)
;)
-
I could, of course, tell the tale of The Randy Vicar and the Rim Shot.
-
That one's a corker.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And along came the page that shall not be named.
-
What can we do about THAT?
-
Probably not much.
-
I still have to do some writing and showering before bed.
-
So, I fear we won't get far.
-
I also far we won't get fear.
-
I am a contrarian.
-
As well as a Sagittarian.
-
And a Presbytarian
-
I'm a pentagenarian.
-
And a fan of lyricist Joe Darian.
And a librarian named Marian.
-
And I once was friends with a Hungarian.
-
I am currently an octogenarian.
-
As a book collector, I'm an antiquarian.
-
And a librarian named Marian.
When I was working at the music library at Western Washington University, my supervisor's name actually was Marian! :D
-
And David Seville's real name was Ross Bagdasarian.
-
I am currently an octogenarian.
Not yet...that's a person who is between 80 and 89 years old.
Gratuitous Post #201!!
We're making progress.
-
Progress is the root of all evil.
-
General Bullmoose told me so.
-
And what's good for General Bullmoose is good for the USA.
-
Never forget that - and drink your Yokumberry Tonic.
-
BK, you're still a septuagenarian.
-
I think I see page eight lurking in the wings.
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
See?
-
Oh yes, I'm a septuagenarian. I'm far from Octo.
-
Or is it Octa?
-
I think I see page eight lurking in the wings.
And here they are!
