Well, you've read the notes, the notes were thriller-like, and now it is time for you to post until the thriller-like cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AVUNCULAR!
-
I was just about to post this last night, but I was able to save it before the day got locked:
It's the actor who is still on script. He (yes, it's one of the male actors) must be missing something in his on-stage book prop. :-\
Well, last ight the actor in question realized that he had made the jump again, and because the script that he carries on stage isn't the entire script, he's going to go through the complete script to find where and how he jumps, then today, he and I and a couple of other actors who can get there early enough will run through those pages a couple of times so that this never happens again.
-
Of course, it should never have happened in the first place, but that's water under the bridge. ::)
-
Ooo...I'm getting close to a momentous millstone!
-
I'll ketchup
and comment on some of yesterday's posts. :)
-
Which version of the Hanson Piano Concerto did you listen to, bk? I played 3rd trumpet on the Eugene List version. That and the Rosenberger version are the only two I know of.

BLASTOFF!! ;D

Today, our matinee starts at 2:00 pm, but I need to get up to Tacoma before noon to let people in the theater and to help run lines, which means that I need to leave Tumwater by 11:15 at the latest, but before 11:00 would be better
-
And now, I'm off to bed...perchance to sleep. 8)
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
The alarm rang at 6:00, but between then and my 2:30 bathroom break, I spent most of the 3.5 hours cuddling with Thatch and Annabelle and dozing. Now that the temperatures have dropped and it gets quite chilly in the middle of the night, m,,y bed is Station Zerop and all three cats are now sleeping with me. Poor Stella, who's always been odd cat out, prefers to cuddle with me when I'm watching TV, and sleep at my feet when the lights are out.
-
This is laundry morning, so I will begin that soon.
-
DR vixmom, this is Steve's first presidential election vote, isn't it? I canmnopt remember when he became a US citizen.
-
DR Laura, I'm happy your trunk or treat event went well. Your goodies looked great. I prefer trick or gin.

DR Laura, I'm happy your trunk or treat event went well. Your goodies looked great. I prefer trick or gin.
I like gin.
-
I'm in the middle of Season 6 of Suits. I like the cast, but the writing has gotten quite erratic, and the main plot of the season so far seems to be happy bendiong circumstance, travel time, and credulity as far as possible. I think they finally jumped the shark.
-
BLASTOFF!! ;D
Congratulations, George, on your brand new millstone!
-
Laura, the trunk or treat event sounds like it was delightful for everyone!
-
Elmore, you are correct! First presidential election he could vote in.
-
May his candidate win!
-
Congratulations on your lofty new heights in the posting heavens , George

Congratulations to vixdad on this milestone vote!
-
Laura, I keep thinking about your story
-
I’m terrified of the crazy man

And I don’t understand why people enjoying, weekends, said vacations, paid holidays, social security , Medicare, etc are so terrified of ‘liberals”
-
Ah well.

Wow, 378 Guests are viewing this board - and on a Sunday morning before 8 a.m. (Eastern time)!
-
Are so many Guests actually first visiting HHW on Sunday morning, or still here from Saturday night?
-
Congratulations, George, on your mill of a milestone.
-
And first communion at the second service
"The First Communion at the Second Service" sounds like could be a title for something.
-
I got distracted
-
Now for a quick wordle before church

I haven't listened to the new cast recording of Sunset Boulevard yet. But it's out there
-
I'm up from the basement while the laundry dries. I spoke to my brother Randy while the laundry washed, and that was an enjoyable 30 minutes.
-
DR George, best of luck with the actor and his lines. When I directed Look Homeward, Angel, a fantastic play that doesn't get played often enough, I had a leading lady who was difficult because she wanted the audience to love her more than she wanted to play a difficult lady with a lot of unpleasant baggage.
-
This is Chica, Randy and JoAnn's latest rescue dog.

Happy last Sunday in October! The delightful, funny Karen Mason joins me for the new Broadway Radio Show to chat about her new album All That Jazz featuring the songs of Kander & Ebb. Lots of chat, stories and, of course, great music!

Zero guests.

It is 52 degrees here headed for 65 degrees.

Congrats to DR GEORGE on his historic millstone.

Is Randy the brother whose wife you once called Lady Macbeth? Has there been an understanding over selling the property?
-
Yes, CONGRATULATIONS to DR George on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!!!!!
-
Chica is very cute!
-
Zero guests.
But there were close to 400 Guests visiting the whole HHW board earlier this morning. Now there are just 40.
Maybe they went to Sunday brunch?
-
The laundry is finished, and so am I. Instead of putting it all away now, I'm taking a breather before I get to work on Gypsy.
-
Good -- what is it, anyway? Not morning, I guess!!
afternoon, all!
-
Got the ol' four-hour rehearsal today, then rehearsals the next three evenings.
-
Congrats to George

Very nice picture, Larry!
-
Well, the show is going well! :)
-
We're nine pages to the end of act one, then we'll have intermission.
-
Good news DR GEORGE!
-
Very nice photo of your own self DR ELMORE.
-
Well, the show is going well! :)
Yay!
-
Great photo. I got caught working in a gypsy once. But that’s a story for another forum.
-
Nice photos of Larry and Chica.
-
Exhausted and must do laundry.
-
Worked only seven hours and we were open for six. We processed 988 voters in that short time.
-
We started with a line out to the street. When the football games came on, our lines evaporated.
-
We have not had any terribly nasty people. I am grateful for that.
-
I'll say!
-
Great photo. I got caught working in a gypsy once. But that’s a story for another forum.
Do you know the Randy Vicar, too?
-
I hear he's a corker.
-
Our neighbor has this sign hung in her vestibule:
-
I don't think it's really true.
-
But you never know.
-
I'm trying to do laundry, but I'm losing interest fast.

That's terrific, John G!

PAGE SIX
-
Good evening.
-
Good evening, DR Laura.
-
No quote in your profile. For now.
-
I'm sure soon you'll come up with another good one.
-
Hi, Laura
-
:)
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Once again, I thought I'd posted several times this morning.
-
I seem to be in a daze of a haze of confusion.
-
Confusion says "Be wary of brain cells that do not work."
-
In any case, I've been up since ten after seven hours of sleep.
-
I had lox and bagels for food - a really good batch of lox.
-
A Really Good Batch of Lox - that's the title of my next novel.
-
Started another movie, Coup! Which isn't capturing my imagination, even though Peter Sarsgaard is pretty good in it.
-
Maybe I will finish tomorrow. Made lunch for the next two days.
-
I think I've watched two movies so far - one documentary and one "thriller."
-
Second load of laundry is in the dryer.
-
I'm going for a third.
-
But I'm first making up for lost posting time.
-
"Thrillers" are tiresome.
-
Wish I had a little sweet here, but alas, I only have more bagels and lox and I've had my fill of that for today.
-
Could use another slice of cherry pie from Paty's - that was really excellent.
-
But alas... no cherry pie here.
-
No cherry pie here is the title of my next culinary mystery
-
I'm whipped.
-
But before I say adieu
-
To yew and yew and yew
-
I just want to say:
-
Seven!
-
Blessed seven!
-
Filled with leaven.
-
Bright as heaven.
-
Dear Hansen Evan.
-
Good night, all.
-
:)
Oh, my! :o That's...interesting.
-
;D
-
Pausing the third movie - a little classic.
-
Oops, I guess I did order a slice of cherry pie a la mode. Eating it now.
-
It's goooood.
-
Heated the pie up.
-
It's gooood.
-
Ah the page that shall not be named.
-
I have sound serious evidence that not all cherry pies are equal.
-
Paty's is gooood, and so is their chocolate cream pie - they make all these.
-
Must try their coconut cake.
-
Must get off this damn page.
-
The one that shall not be named.
-
I do think we'll make it.
-
I really do.
-
For now, must write some damn notes.
-
Notes are written.
-
Listening to music.
-
Waiting for George and his jam.
-
Probably eating a burrito.
-
Hard to know until he arrives.
-
When that will be, I know not.
-
Or should that be I no knot?
-
Probably eating a burrito.
I'm actually eating a breakfast burrito from Taco Bell. :)
-
Whatever.
-
PAGE EIGHT DANCE!!
-
Page eight has made its well deserved entrance of entrances.
-
Whew!
-
And George show up just as it happens.
-
I think I need a Ricola.
-
So, I didn't know that this existed, let alone that anything like this was on YouTube:
The Show Boat Story - Jerry Hadley, Teresa Stratas, Frederica von Stade, and John McGlinn (1988) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgM_aprrYpw)
-
It's all about the wonderful Show Boat recording and how it got made, and there's a lot of footage during the recording sessions!
-
Now having a Ricola.
-
We are approaching the midnight hour.
-
Which happens at midnight, for those of you who might be wondering.
-
I was wondering.
-
As I was wandering and pondering.
-
But not laundering.
-
There IS nudity in the notes.
-
So, today's matinee of An Inspector Calls went quite well...not absolutely perfect, of course, but so much better than the first two performances. ::)
;D
-
There IS nudity in the notes.
Ooo...hope it's gratuitous! ;)
-
Any minute now.
-
Totally gratuitous.
-
I felt we needed some.
-
Several of us got to the theater earlier than usual and carefully went through the script at the point that the jumps happened, and after it was realized what happened, notes were made and all was (for the most part) right with the world of Brumley, England, 1912.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
We're almost to Page Nine!
-
But before I change the topic - so hold all thoughts...
-
I guess I'd better start posting!!
-
Just one more...
-
Page nine is lurking in the wings.
-
PAGE NINE DANCE!! :D
-
WHEW!!
-
And now, it has made its entrance.
-
Hold that thought.
-
Hold that thought.
Must I??
