Well, you've read the notes, the notes don't like ugly and do like beauty, and now it is time for you to post until the beautiful cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CROON!

Good morning, all.
-
What a depressing morning.
-
I’m ready for the airport.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Welcome to Trump's Whorehouse: you've been really screwed.
-
My anger is at a low simmer at the moment; I do not expect a full boil before January 6. I remain appalled at the low IQ quotient and idiocy of more US citizens than I would have ever expected.
-
I went to bed around 10:00, feeling very concerned over the number of states the Fat Orange Baboon had already won, realizing it was too late to wish him dead. I was confident that the women of the country would save us, but we are Germany, 1931 and I worry for all of us.
-
Perhaps this country needs to be shaken to its foundations and reawakened.
Sadly, who would have thought it would be done by an idiot?
I am heartsick, and I am sickened.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Oh, yes....Morning!
-
And...mourning.
-
Looks like we lost the Senate, too.
-
House still undecided.
-
Attorney General Aileen Cannon?
-
.
-
And couldn't we all use some good saxophone stylings right about now?
-
Jesus wept.

Travel vibes for DR JOHN G.

I am appalled as Eulalie said.
-
I didn't get Wordle today.
-
Elon Musk and Robert Kennedy Jr. are over the moon.
-
Morning.
-
Better get caught up on all your vaccines before January.
-
I’m ready for the airport.
Stay away from the news and enjoy your trip.
-
Perhaps this country needs to be shaken to its foundations and reawakened.
Sadly, who would have thought it would be done by an idiot?
I am heartsick, and I am sickened.
Interesting thought.

I am so sorry.

I didn't get Wordle today.
:(

I didn't think of that. Sigh.

Arrived in Chicago. 90-minute wait for the connection to Albany.

Arrived in Chicago. 90-minute wait for the connection to Albany.
Continued easy travel vibes.
-
I am waiting to see if our congresswoman beats out the Nazi again. So far she is slightly in the lead.
-
I’m wearing my sweatshirt that says, “There’s nothing wrong with me that a little ice cream won’t fix.”
-
LOL, perfect.
-
Arrived in Chicago. 90-minute wait for the connection to Albany.
More travel vibes!
When you get there, are you staying at a hotel or with friends or family?
-
I’m wearing my sweatshirt that says, “There’s nothing wrong with me that a little ice cream won’t fix.”
:) That's the spirit!
-
Albany is the place to be I've heard.
-
My body really does not want to go sit in the dentist chair today. Plus I can no longer put off getting x-rays. They hurt so I don't like to get them.
-
Vibes for DR JANE
-
I'm baking a lemon drizzle cake from Paul Hollywood's baking book for our board meeting today. Maybe King Charles will take us back?
-
Attorney General Aileen Cannon?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! 😱
-
My dental x-rays don't hurt, but my gag reflex sure doesn't like them.
-
Wednesday morning greetings.
Even our public library levy failed. That explains a lot.
That's terrible!
-
It is feels exactly like a nice warm, pleasant day... IN MAY.
And oh, how I wish it were one. Could we go back and try again, please?
-
Good afternoon (I guess)

I know about that.
-
I didn't get them this time and will do so at the next appointment.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six and a half hours of sleep.
-
Landed in Albany
-
Landed in Albany
Good to know the HHW vibes worked!
-
Landed in Albany
Yay. Have fun.
-
It hasn't ended. I just received my first text requesting money for a recount. I forget which outcome it was for.
-
You know what hurts most about today? Knowing that 50% of this country supports a criminal, liar, rapist, racist, all-round shit and his rotten cronies. I'm not an elitist, but I thought that US citizens were smart enough not to buy anything from a snake oil salesman.
-
It came as quite a surprise to me several years ago, Elmore, that so many people are stupider than I am.
-
Have sort of gone my way through this day numbingly.
Had an appointment this morning for an upcoming colonoscopy (hoo-haw).
On my trip home, I stopped at a Chipotle to get one of their brisket specials they've been advertising, topped with a scoop of guacamole.
Once home, I began eating, and it is very tasy and spicy. I have finished a quarter of it. I guess I'll eat off it over the next couple of days.

TOD Redux:
Yesterday, BK asked for recommendations of films.
Today, I watched "84 Charing Cross Road", starring Anne Bancroft, Anthony Hopkins and Judi Dench.
I had read the novella by Helene Hanff back in the mid-80s and loved it very much. The movie makes a good go of telling the tale and capturing the spirit of Hanff's relationship with Frank P. Doel of Marks & Co., antiquarian booksellers, located at 84 Charing Cross Road, London UK.
I recommend the book to all and one. The movie, too, if you can find it. I recorded it off TCM several weeks ago when they were airing films of Anne Bancroft. It was aired in the early morning hours, as I recall, but it deserves greater exposure.
-
I love both the book and the movie.
-
I'm not much in a posting mood, I'm afraid.
-
Still kind of in shock.
-
I think it's all my fault.
-
Losing my glasses last night was a harbinger/metaphor for the election.
-
I think.
-
I'm not an elitist, but I thought that US citizens were smart enough not to buy anything from a snake oil salesman.
It's so hard to say who's a snake oil salesman in politics.
-
George Santos was something of a snake oil salesman, and savvy-feeling New Yorkers somehow elected him.
-
It's a down day.
I feel much the same as DR ELMORE.
-
My only solace right now is that those idiots around him will find out soon enough that he cannot be controlled.....he is an egomaniac who now believes himself to be above the law and in charge of EVERYTHING.....and he will listen to no one.
That will be fun to watch as his cronies discover that he will discard them one by one.....messy......including EM.
-
......including EM.
Who is EM?

Have a good time, John G, assuming you're there for fun.

Oh, yes, right!

I am suprisingly calm, sad but calm, today. I think the reason is I expected this to happen. Keith kept sending me articles of hope and on the whole I didn't believe them. So, while I was hoping for a joyful outcome yesterday I am not surprised at all.
-
I might also be staying calm as my stomach began to be an issue the last two days of our trip and is depanding I keep the stress down. If I don't stay calm I could end up having to see a specialist again and that usually leads to unpleasant tests.
I will not let that happen :)
-
I am terribly sad and cannot think of anything to post
-
I understand.
-
Keith felt the same way while doing Wordle and wasn't in the mood to do it. He got it in six.
-
I hope everyone can sleep tonight.
-
I didn't get much sleep last night so maybe I can tonight.
-
'night
-
We haven't seen the sun in about 5 days.
-
That seems apt.
-
Good night, friends.

Page FOUR???
-
Really?
-
Several people I know have today deactivated their Facebook accounts. They'll be back as soon as they need to promote something, trust me.
-
Had a tai-salad from Uncle Bernie's and I hate to say it - terrible, every part of it. It's the one thing Art's does well.
-
I need to get the taste of it out my my mouth.
-
I really do.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Damn YouTube to HELL. They had a high speed pursuit so I watched it - it was from a YEAR ago. I don't want to see crap on my feed from a YEAR ago.
-
It was one of the most inept sights of police work EVER. One horrible decision after another, letting the culprit carjack two cars, having him boxed in yet letting him get away, allowing him to escape on foot, enter a house, fight his way out with the people inside, steal their truck, and on and on and on. He must have rammed at least twenty cars before it came to an end. Of course, we never hear what happened to the jerk who did it.
-
Really need to get this fetid taste out of my fetid mouth.
-
BTW, the reason some people get that error message when trying to connect, is because they've never made the site secure. That will change in the next day or two - it's $75 a year, but will be worth it.
-
Wish he'd suggested it before.
-
But he hadn't.
-
And so I didn't.
-
Not that I couldn't.
-
Not that I wouldn't.
-
But I'm the laziest gal in town.
-
Don't ask me.
-
Vixdad took me to our favorite IHOP for dinner
-
We’ve been regulars here for about 30 years
-
Tonight there was not a single server I recognized
-
And the service was indifferent, bordering on negligent
-
The food was good though
-
I had my current favorite, the cali turkey melt with fresh fruit on the side instead of fries or onion rings
-
It’s such a filling sandwich I can only eat half
-
But never fear, the other half came home with me and will serve as my lunch tomorrow
-
During lunch today I went to the florist near my office.
-
It’s not far from where my cousin lived and where her visitation will be on Saturday .
-
I was able to choose and order flowers to be delivered to the funeral home on Saturday morning before the visitation begins
-
Then I walked two doors over to the Panera and ordered lunch
-
I ordered potato soup in a bread bowl, with chips , to dine in
-
I was given the soup in a cardboard container with a side of bread in a bag to go
-
I asked for the corrections and they were made
-
When I looked at the slip they were given by the guy at the counter I saw they made it just as he had rung it in
-
I’m surprised he had the correct soup listed, he managed to get everything else wrong
-
But in Sunday my friend Robyn and I had gone to Veselka in the East Village
-
( the Ukranian restaurant)
-
And the service was spectacular as was my meal
-
Chicken paprikash, with a side of beef borscht, a vanilla egg cream and baked chocolate custard for dessert.
-
I brought half the paprikash home and had that for lunch on Monday
-
My spine is feeling looser and my range of motion is better, but my lower back muscles are aching like crazy
-
I’m supposed to go back to the chiropractor again tomorrow evening but I’m considering cancelling to give my muscles some time to recover
-
I guess I’ll see how I feel in the morning
-
I found Keith Jarrett's Invocations / The Moth and the Flame perfect for my mood tonight. Invocations has him playing pipe organ and soprano saxophone; The Moth and the Flame is a solo piano studio recording.
-
I’m surprised he had the correct soup listed, he managed to get everything else wrong
Yikes. :-\
-
So earlier today, I checked my mail and there was a key to one of the larger mailboxes for packages that are too big for our normal mail slots.
-
I took the key and put it in the key hole for the larger mailbox that had the same number as the keyring, 6-1-A.
-
It took a moment, but I got the key in the key hole, but...
-
The damn key wouldn't turn! :o
-
WTH?? ???
-
I took the key out of the key hole and tried again, and AGAIN it just wouldn't turn!
-
When one is able to open the larger mailboxes with the key that is left in one's mail slot, the key is then locked into the key hole until the mail carriers need to put something else in the mail box for another person, so you can't steal the keys...which makes perfect sense.
-
Well, I tried the key in the other larger mailboxes that had no keys in them, and it didn't open any of those boxes, either.
-
So, I'm going to try one more time, but I'm going to bring my WD40 to see if the lock might need some lubricating.
-
Then, if THAT doesn't work, I'll leave a message for the mail carrier and he/she/they can figure it out. ::)
-
Page six is not acceptable.
-
It is wholly UNacceptable.
-
And not very sporting.
-
And we've been on it too damn long.
-
Since 8:40.
-
At least George was here with his jam and burrito.
-
The Never-ending Page.
-
It just goes on and on.
-
Something is not right.
-
Something is not left.
-
Okay, is there gaslighting going on?
-
See?
-
And now we have the page that shall not be named.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
They're there.
-
There is no mistaking that they're there.
-
Also, there is no mistaking that George isn't HERE.
-
He may be there.
