I'll take some gingerbread, thank you very much.
We have snow on the roof, the car windshield, and the grass, but none on the street yet.
But we are under a Winter Weather Advisory.
I finished reading Peyton Place again for the first time in decades! I enjoyed it even more this time.....interesting.
It is in a single volume with Return To Peyton Place which I also read. I still don't understand why the name of the man Constance married was changed from Tom Makris to Michael Rossi....the name they used in the movie and RTPP and the TV show.
Maybe a real Tom Makris turned up and complained.

You guessed it.

I am going to lunch with my cousin Carol.
(I'm telling my story in Vixmom style)
The reason we went was because Jason Graae was the Wizard. He got us nice seats.
I decided to clean the snow off the windshield of Dennis the Smart Car, but I had to get the ice scraper out of Petey the Cruiser.
But the clicker wouldn't work to unlock the doors....it was most disturbing. Until I realized every time I click it - the lights on Dennis were flashing. I was using the wrong clicker.
Once I went back into the house and got the right clicker all was right with the world....except for the idiots singing at WICKed.
Laura, thanks for sharing your interesting history about your seeing WICKED.
O beautiful, for spacious skies...

As long as we're fessing up to these things...
I have yet to see WICKED in any format whatever, and I only know a few of the songs because they're such standard audition and recital fare these days.

And the good news: Matt Gaetz has withdrawn his nomination. Rot in hell, ass.
After being locked out of Paypal, about an hour after I posted a request for their phone number, I was suddenly able to log back on.

AND he resigned from Congress, so hopefully he can't unresign! :))

LOL. It was a fascinating story, wasn't it?

I saw WICKED; I thought the original novel was far superior, and I think there's a good miniseries in it. I hated the musical's happy ending and general avoidance of the novel's political points.
I didn't realize this was from seven years ago. Still applies, though.

Have we seen this already?
It would be so boring if we all liked the same things, wouldn't it?
And DR CHAS SMITH it has been my theeder experience that anyone who sings some or all of Defying Gravity or Popular - should have chosen another audition song, or maybe even stick to straight plays.
Uh oh here comes the snow.
DR GINNY thanks for the WICKed repor.
I am with DR RODZINSKI.....I shall probably skip it. I don't like the songs and I have an aversion to both leading ladies.
The second round of snow is yet to arrive.
Gasoline was 3.549 for Premium and 2.849 for regular. Since I was in Dennis, I had to get some premium....and just above a half tank....it only cost $13.50.
Maybe I will take Petey over there tomorrow to top off his tank for this bargain price.
I didn't read the article but it let us know the Frump transition team are calling Repug members of Congress and telling them if they don't vote YES on the cabinet appointees they will face a primary in the next cycle.
Didn't take them long to start turning on themselves - did it?

Darn. :-\
We walked down park avenue and didn't see a single car
We went over to Rockerfeller Center and the place was literally surrounded by soldiers carrying automatic rifles
But we enjoyed a visit to the Americzn Girl store ( that was back when it was good before they changed buildings and basically deserted thd historical girls concept)

Have I mentioned that this day is hugely irritating and that if it continues I may have to become a cereal killer?
I wonder if it means Ragtime is headed back to Broadway.
My blood test results were not bad. Everything was good except my triglycerides level. Too much bacon and beef lately, I guess.

Odd.
DR JANE the gas station is only about a mile from my house....as the crow flies.
The snow is still falling and the grass is almost covered up.
The streets are just wet, but when the temperatures fall, it will be Ice Follies of 2024.

Delightful!

I'm curious as to why is that? Because they can't do the song well, because you find they don't work so well for audition pieces, or both?
A bit of both DR MICHAEL G depending on the auditioner.

I loved Wicked when I saw it in NY. I even have two little black t-shirts that say Wicket on them. Those shirts got me many comments, all positive even if they didn't know it was the show ;D
I thought of you, DR George.... :)

I should really let go of the shirts since I no longer wear little t-shirts.

Nice!
Watched the Ronan Farrow Surveilled documentary, in which Ronan Farrow is the STAR, photographed endlessly in adoring close-up by the producer of the documentary - Ronan Farrow - and edited in such a way that it is all about Ronan Farrow. As an in depth documentary it runs exactly sixty-one minutes and seems like three hours. Not only is Ronan Farrow a ninety-pound hipster, he is trying so hard to be a glam documentary unto himself, even though the subject matter is interesting. It would be a lot MORE interesting if the producer, Ronan Farrow, wasn't fetishizing the leading player in the documentary, one Ronan Farrow - the directors are complicit in this fetishizing.
I could watch that link, DR Jane. Lovely dog story.
And a Very Happy Birthday to DR KevinH!! :D

Thanks, DR RonPulliam. I haven't been called "youngster" in quite a while!
Happy birthday, KevinH! How are you celebrating?
Thanks, DR JohnG! My friends took me to lunch and another friend is taking me tomorrow. I've been on the phone, FaceTime and Messenger video most of the day.
Thank you, DR Jane!
DR JANE your link worked for me and it was most heart warming.
The only thing that might have made it better is if Ronan Farrow had been featured.
