Well, you've read the notes, the notes saw the doctor, and now it is time for you to post until the doctored cows come home.

I hate it when the Wordle word has a lot of rhymes! >:(

For the TOD, Ira Levin is the first thriller writer who comes to mind, but he was so good at several genres.
-
BK, if your lab tests are at 4:00, doesn't that mean the 8-hour fast starts at 8:00 a.m. - so you could eat before 8 a.m. if you wake up early enough?
-
Has this word ever been the word of the day:
Ensh*ttification
Wikipedia says:(except they spell out the word)
Ensh*ttification, also known as crapification and platform decay, is a pattern in which online products and services decline in quality. Initially, vendors create high-quality offerings to attract users, then they degrade those offerings to better serve business customers, and finally degrade their services to users and business customers to maximize profits for shareholders.

It seems to be Australia's Macquarie Dictionary's word of the year, if I'm understanding correctly!
-
Good morning, all!
-
BK, good wishes for today's procedure!
-
I slept well, but I had a restless night wqith too many bathroom breaks. Stella preferred the Amazon carton that arrived yesterday to my mattress, but faithful Annabelle and Thatch stayed with me.

How could I have forgotten the original 13 Ghosts? I've always loved that tacky film. I never saw the update.

DR CHAS SMITH when you're not doing anything else take notes on the costumes, I sure they will be appreciated by the staff.
-
That result of the Mexican and Canadian tariffs video posted by DR GEORGE was most interesting and should be a wake up call to STOP THE IDIOT.
It's basic economics we learned in the 8th grade.......all business cost increases are passed along to the consumer EVERY DAMNED TIME.

Doctor vibes today for MR BK.

I'm up, I'm up - five and a half hours of sleep.

And this dirtbag J2 Spotlight company has been sending out emails asking for people to guess each of the three shows for their season. I don't know why, but I had a feeling they'd pull this crap and they have - their current clews: A CAT and a Sherlock Holmes hat. I am FURIOUS and I'm not gonna be silent about it and I've already written the son we've licensed from and asked him how he could do this when they're so close together - ours in March, theirs in April DURING our run. People had told me they were so excited about us doing it they were going to fly in to see it - well, now they don't have to, do they?
-
Outrageous!!!!
-
And they're doing Smile - good thing I made all these recordings. huh? I am apple plectic, but we'll see what the son has to say - probably not much. Now I know why he's been bugging me so much about getting the charts this early. Well, I have to check the contract we have, but I'm not sure there's anything in there about WHEN I have to send them. I'll calm down - nothing to be done about it but ask everyone I know to boycott J2 Spotlight.
-
I will also tell you that the main guy, Jim Jimirro is a shark and a half. He was a big fan of my albums. Had lunch with him many times. In 2002, after the label that shall not be named debacle, I had lunch and proposed to him doing exactly what he's doing now. That's right, eighteen years before he did it with someone else. I playfully asked him on Facebook if he remembered that and he unplayfully said, "I do." They're doing this on purpose, I truly believe that. They could not have begun the licensing process prior to us announcing it. Not possible.
-
DR Singdaw I am glad your presentation went well and that it wasn't too short.
-
From DR Singdaw:
Hope you can get the device you want, DR Jane.
I did thank you.
-
Singdaw, thanks for offering to order Prime. There was an offer to get Prime for a week and a very low price so we took it.
-
DR Jrand, too bad the mfg. company in Ohio didn't mention what would the company's reaction would be if Trump ran BEFORE the election.
-
So glad it all worked out so well with the presentation, singdaw!
-
I've read about the high number of people searching, "can you change your vote after voting?" ::)

Back from a Diet Coke with Robert Yacko, a Gelson's visit that yielded no purchase, and then putting gas in the motor car.

This had been my response, to say: wait until after the physical to get worked up. You don't want a false high blood pressure reading and be given a prescription you don't need (or too much of a prescription).

How sad! Helen Gallagher has died. When I worked at The Drama Book Shop, she may hhave satill been playing Maeve Ryan on the soap Ryan's Hope. I adored her, and one day I said to her "I saw you on 72nd Street last night," and she repled, "Honey, ypu can see me any night on 72nd street!"
My friend Billy dated her niece and took her acting class. He said she was a fantastic teacher.
RIP, Helen.

I'll talk more about the physical in the notes, but the bloodwork doesn't come back for a day or two.
Not until after Thanksgiving?
-
I had a short stack, which now costs fifteen dollars, and then their mac and cheese. I ate the equivalent of one pancake and three bites of mac and cheese and I couldn't eat another bite. So, I boxed up the mac and cheese and i'll have it later.
-
And then came the ride home.
-
A real nightmarish journey.
-
Until this eye thing is fixed I cannot drive in the evenings unless it's on streets here in the Valley that I know really well.
-
There's just too much glare and doubling of lights and cars.
-
I got up to Laurel Canyon pretty easily, saw that it wasn't moving at all, so went over to Nichols Canyon. Well, it was so dark - there are literally no lights in Nichols Canyon, and it was drizzling pretty good.
-
I could barely see where I was going and it's one of the hardest to navigate canyons ever.
-
I was almost at the place that leads up to Mulholland but there was some jerk behind me, right on my tail, and literally could not see where I was and I veered right instead of left - he, of course, veered left, the little prick. Once I was on this other road I was screwed because there is NO place to turn around,
-
You have to just stay on the street and it goes up, up, and away, and is twistier and scarier than Nichols Canyon. Ultimately, it brought me back to the street I should have been on, and from there to Mulholland. There are also no lights on Mulholland and it's a one-land thing, so that was scary. I normally would take Wrightwood all the way down to Ventura Blvd., but it, too, is simply too dark and too easy to go the wrong way if you can't see.
-
I finally got to Mulholland and Laurel Canyon and from there it was easy.
-
Sounds scarifying.
-
Yes MR BK driving at night can be troublesome, but having an idiot pushing you makes it dangerous....especially if they decide to turn on their bright lights and ride your bumper.
-
In my younger years I was known to pull over and let them pass me.....and then give them the same treatment.
Something I would be too afraid to do these days.
-
We were staying at a house in Topanga Canyon this time about 3 years ago. And I did not enjoy driving on that road up the hill at night.

Glad to hear that you have two of two DR RODZINSKI. Or is it two/four.

DR singdaw has reached a new millstone!
-
I watched a couple of good basketball games this evening.
Temps beginning Friday will only be in the teens.....they say.
-
Home at last, from the final dress rehearsal.
Well, we can say this: it's one HELL of a lot better than it was looking and feeling to us a week ago.
-
Oh my god, what is up with this Drat! news?!
-
I was surprised to read Helen Gallagher played Adelaide to Walter Matthau’s Nathan Detroit in a revival of Guys and Dolls. That sounds like fun.
-
I need to get on the maps and follow BK's route home.
What I'm trying to remember is whether I ever took Nichols Canyon. I can't swear that I did. And that's a shame. I miss the canyons.
-
She ain’t never laid a fist on me except in self-defense.
Great quote from a cop in the movie
-
Congratulations, Singdaw
-
I'm exhausted.
-
Good night, all.
-
I do t know what J2 Spotlight is
-
I am also unfamiliar with Drat the Cat
-
So the meaning of the cat and the deerstalker combo flew waaaay over my head
-
I still have not caught it but have some sense from context that there is a competing theatre you fear is aiming to steal your audience
-
In which case I must say damn them, damn them all to hell

Dozed off. So annoyed - my top loose porcelain cap is gone. I was worried it would happen - the bottom loose cap is loose but because it's on the bottom it pretty much stays put. The top one has just been falling on its own and I've always managed to get it in place. But somewhere between the doctor and home, vanished. Maybe it's on the plate that had the pancakes - who knows. Maybe it ejected itself when I was yelling in the car because I could not see anything clearly, although I certainly checked the car AND home.
