-
Good morning, all!
-
I had a terrible night. Around 11:30 I woke with some serious reflux issues, drank some water to wash out the acids, and went back to bed. Around 1:30 I had another round, sop I got up to get the Pepcid AC, only I couldn't find it. After tearing apart the drawer in which I keep it and having a panic attack that I was going to die there, either from a stroke or a fall, I calmed down, started thinking much more rationally, and found the bottle.
-
At that pointed that I was notkeeping the alarm at 5:00a.m., and I turned it off. I had a few dreams I no longer remember, and at some point Annabelle decided she wanted under the blankets. So, we cuddled, then Thatch joined us. When IU decidec it was time to get up, it was 6:30.
-
Was Tang discussed in the movie FLY ME TO THE MOON?
It certainly was!
Are there any nude scenes in FLY ME TO THE MOON?
If so, it could be a possibly valid excuse to post one of my G-rated FLY ME IN THE NUDE YouTubes, to shill for YouTube views, er, I mean to honor the movie?
-
This morning, I miust do laundry, and everything is set to go with me to the basement. When that's finished, I'll see what mail has arrived on Friday and Saturday and deal with tjhat. After that is anyone's guess.

Happy Happy Birthday, Dear BK!

Singdaw finds the most beautiful baking projects.

Last night the cats and I watched two movies, both gay comedies, one on Netflix and one on Amazon. The Amazon one was Big Eden, with Arye Gross as a successful New York artist who returns to his Montana hometown, Big Eden, to care for his grandfather, played by George Coe, who appeared on Broadway in Company and On the Twentieth Century, The cast includes Louise Fletcher and Veanne Cox. It's a sweet little movie, and I wish there was a bit of chemistry between the leading men, Gross and Eric Schweig. The supporting cast is wonderful, and it';s often very funny.
-
The Netflix movie, which I'd seen before, was Single All the Way, starring Michael Urie, Luke MacFarlane, Barry Bostwick, Kathy Najimy, and Jennifer Coolidge, who gets away with murder and steals the movie. It was another gay man leaves the Big City - in this case LA - to spend Christmas in his New Hampshire hometown. It's sweet, often very camp, and often outrageously funny.
-
Have a very Happy Birthday, Bruce!
May you, and we, have many happy returns of this day!
-
A Big 77th Birthday Wish for a fantastic day and show tonight to my Dear Friend Bruce Kimmel!
-
I cannot believe that it was today in 2006 that I was spending BK's birthday festivities after a performance of The Brain from Planet X. Where did the next 18 years go?
-
Good morning, all.
-
A VERY HAPPY and LUCKY 77th TO BK!!!
-
Shouldn't BK be in Vegas today pulling some handles or walking toward the Baccarat table in a dinner jacket or something?
-
I think I'll celebrate BK's big day today by playing a matinee! Yeah, that's the ticket.

If I could get to England, my first stop would be Stourbridge Junction to see George, the Stourbridge Station cat. He reminds me of Thatch, and I adore him. His posts can be very funny. Here's the comment on this photo:
Apparently, holding the FC’s undergarments to ransom in exchange for leftover roast potatoes, chicken and gravy is not the done thing……
Today is roast dinner day for George.
The FC is the lady in charge of the train station's operations. George's human is one of the workers in the office.
-
Happy Birthday to our host with most BK!!
-
I spent yesterday day with my friend Lori, who was visiting from Florida
-
We met in Union Square and spent some hours perusing the booths in the Christmas Market set up there
-
Then we walked over to E. 9th and Second to have lunch at Veselka
-
We were unsuccessful as rather kine to get in literally stretch around the corner
-
However there is another Ukranian restaurant right next door
-
That restaurant had been recommended as well by a mutual friend so we decided to go there
-
Very pretty little restaurant
-
I must learn its name
-
I was eating a lovely Ukrainian meal ( next door to Veselka, Veselka’s line was literally ‘round )
Kielbasa, perogis, stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut, onions….
-
….and I made the mistake of cutting the kielbasa into a round.
-
I made the further mistake of allowing it to slip down my throat before I had properly chewed it to bits
-
Then it decided to lodge in my windpipe.
-
Lori recognized I was choking, I could not breathe or talk .
-
So she stood up and loudly asked if anyone knew the Heimlich
-
The restaurant fell silent and everyone turned to look at me ( I was standing now trying to dislodge it myself)
-
I was starting to get tunnel vision
-
Then our waitress hustled over, wrapped her arms around me and bounced me like a rag doll
-
Sausage dislodged !
-
And as the song goes…I’m still here
-
My throat and chest are both a bit sore
-
But our waitress received an excellent tip
-
Anyway, since I’m alive, guess I’ll Wordle

Today I was at a leadership luncheon on the campus of Saint Olaf College, the DH's alma mater.
Dessert was 7 kinds of cookies (a Norwegian tradition, which is the affiliation of the school), yule log, and riskrem topped with lingonberry sauce.
Riskrem is made of rice pudding, mixed with whipped cream, sugar, and vanilla.

Yes. I have heard of her but never seen her. The online critic, who hates everything, loved the show.

I still have dishes and glasses to clean since they can't go in the dishwasher.

Before I leave for a bit.....

Bruce, have a fantastic evening!

I also ate lefse, which is a traditional Norwegian flatbread. You can slather it with butter and/or brown sugar and/or cinnamon, then you roll it up.

That reminds me of a "Stump the Vand" segment on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Johnny was asking people in the audience if they could think of a song that Doc Severinson and the band didn't know.

One woman suggested, "If You Knew Susie (Like I Know Susie)." Doc got the band started, and he sang:
If you knew Susie like I know Susie,
