Well, you've read the notes, the notes were scary, and now it is time for you to post until the scary cows come home.

Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Got up to go to the bathroom. When I got back, the DH had considerately left me about 1.5 feet of space. On a king-sized bed. So I guess I am up. 8)
-
.
-
Who decides these things?
-
BK, have you seen this?
-
~~~CONTINUED MULTIPLE MODERN MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes o' BK!!!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather poorly. The cats behaved, but I could not get comfortable and I spent too much of the night trying to get to sleep.
-
DR singdaw, I've asked twice now: did you watch Eloise at Christmastime?
-
Last night we watched the first three episodes of the 1983(?) BBC production of Mansfield Park. It's well done, the cast is game, but it's my least favorite Jane Austen novel. Fanny Price is such a droopy heroine, and the series, like the book is endless. Anna Massey, however, is a fabulous über-bitch Aunt Norris, but she's not as evil or rotten as the character in the novel.
I've been reading a book on Britten's operas, and the opera following the The Rape of Lucretia of 1946, before Britten settled on Albert Herring, was to be Mansfield Park!
-
I cannot imagine anyone finding a comic opera in Mansfield Park.
-
More modern major miracles vibes for BK! Please don't even think about putting your head in the oven!
-
Millstone Alert for Larry, you're getting very close to a lucky 71,000-post millstone. Maybe even today?
-
.
National Day of the Horse! Isn't that almost a line from "Chrysanthemum Tea"
-
Good morning, all.
-
Friday. And so much going on. So much to do.
-
And back to the show tonight.
-
DR singdaw, I've asked twice now: did you watch Eloise at Christmastime?
And I have posted twice now that yes, I watched it. And thoroughly enjoyed it. :)
-
Good morning, all
-
And thanked you and DR John G. for the recommendation.
-
I slept nine hours. Felt great. Had two dreams. One involved choreographing a community theater production of On the Twentieth Century with a Broadway size budget. The first act closer ended with someone late for the train, running to catch it and then sailing in the air as the train moved on. We had to figure out how to do that. We got a gymnast. He held the pose while an unseen fan made it appear as if in motion. And the train and lighting made everything appear n motion. Audiences loved it.
-
The other dream had me sharing a dorm room with another person. A third needed a place to stay, but I had to much stuff. And the place was a mess. Then Mom and my sisters showed up to visit and there was no place for them to sit. I started throwing things away, much to Mom's horror.
-
But I am awake now.
-
In my overstuffed house.
-
Thanks for the notes on The Substance. I doubt I will see it. I'll wait for the musical. After all, if Death Becomes Her can sing ...
Friday The 13th.
Strange.
-
It is 23 degrees headed for 35 degrees here.
-
Good morning.
BK, you needn't do the Keto thing. You can bring your A1C down by cutting out simple carbs -- sugar, flour, bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. Complex carbs are fine -- vegetables and fruit.
My DH lowered his A1C by giving up simple carbs. He ate tons of fruit. Fruit is carbs, but complex carbs. Your body processes complex carbs differently than simple carbs.
-
When you follow up with your physician, you will probably receive reading material.
-
Amen, Laura.
-
Ham chunks and cheese slices, the official HHW snack, would be ok.
-
I forgot that the library streaming service has two well-received movies of the year that I may watch: Hundreds of Beavers and Green Border.
-
From DR George:
Cute Cats, Keith's wife! (I wanted three "k" sounds ;) )!
LOL, cute.
-
From DR Rodzinski:
Better diet is cut out all sweets and sweet drinks. Minimize bread. Don’t eat after 7pm.
Excellent advise. To be healthy, cut out artificial sweetened carbinated drinks as well.
-
Rodzinski, congratulations on the weight loss.
-
I've been eating way too many of those bad carbs. I need to be good again. I'll have to eat more nuts though since I lose too much weight when I cut them out.
-
When you follow up with your physician, you will probably receive reading material.
Or find it online.
-
Oh yes, I had to give up French fries too.
The other thing is to cook and eat when possible using olive oil.
-
Other than that, you can have a “bad” meal here or there, but adjust accordingly.
-
Oh yes, I had to give up French fries too.
The other thing is to cook and eat when possible using olive oil.
Are you allowed baked or roasted potatoes?
-
Or home fries cooked in olive oil?
-
Feeling puny.
-
Rodzinski, congratulations on the weight loss.
Thanks! You know what happened? My brother in law has no idea how to take flattering photos; he sends us these photos after a day together, and I’m like, why would he send these? Does he not curate images? But I saw how I looked from behind in one image, and I made that my homescreen phone background, and that was the inspiration I needed.
-
Watched all the extras on Death in Venice. I’ll watch the movie itself when I can concentrate a little more.
-
Feeling puny.
Feel better soon!
Would a nap or some tea help?
-
Are you allowed baked or roasted potatoes?
I’m allowed anything, but have limits on certain things. I had to put a hard limit on fries because I have an issue scarfing them down and finishing ones my kids don’t eat.
Did not know about the Howard Hanson book but will seek it out.
Just tried to schedule the MRI unsuccessfully. Even though the approved referral says head and neck, you still have to be put in the machine - they said they have an aroma therapy patch for claustrophobes and I told her they would either have to knock me out or kill me to get me in that thing.
-
They don't do open MRIs, which is what I need.
-
So, back to square one with my doctor - I thought he was going to find a place that did them is what I thought.
-
I'll give him a call shortly.
Ha! Yeah just a poorly composed picture where I was in the background. Just the worst photographer.
Staving vibes for Vixmom.
Not to be confused with starving vibes.
BK could you achieve the same info through a detailed blood panel?
Good for you though I am laughing at those horrible photos. We know people who do the same thing.
LOL. We turned it off.
DID YOU NOT READ MY POSTS TO YOU!
They don't do open MRIs, which is what I need.
If they are going to enclose your head to keep it still it won't matter if it is an open machine or closed.
We just got back from lunch celebrating my Dad's 100th birthday! Four of his nephews/nieces made it besides my sister, wife and me. Most of will be back for a second lunch tomorrow at his other favorite place.
Carbonated drinks is my one food addiction I did manage to give up. Now I occassionally treat myself, mostly when we are traveling as a Coke or Pepsi gives me a boost. I rarely finish the drink.
-
Happy 100th to MichaelG’s dad!
-
I had a long nap. In that time, the temperature had gone up to 70.
Bruce, did your friend find a divorce lawyer? I had asked a friend and haven't heard back yet, just wondering if I should say the info isn't needed any longer.
-
Stephanie J. Block is reading part of Cher’s autobiography. The voices are close.
-
Cher is reading parts.
-
Had some Wacky Noodles - good.
-
Have a place to call about the open MRI. If that proves to be an issue, I'm afraid they'll have to do with a cat scan, which Cedars can do a referral for.
-
Even though I didn't mean to, I wrote three pages rather than just writing down notes - it's for something that will happen at the end of another chapter.
-
Good evening.
That's wonderful you got to celebrate a 100th birthday with your father, Michael G.
I'm glad to hear you say you are giving up some simple carbs, except for the Do. Holidays are special occasions. Simple carbs will need to be a special treat from now on.
Cher talks about her love for the Helms Man when she was young. Reminded me of the great song from LA Now and Then.
The Nutcracker was great. We had about 1,300 in the audience. I was down by the orchestra pit. The live music was thrilling. The dancing seemed better than it has been since before the pandemic.
Well, my appointment this morning went well.
-
Still page 6? What are we even doing?
Glad your appointment went well, G!
Even the Nights Are Better by Air Supply is rather too reminiscent of Arthur’s Theme.
-
Glad your appointment went well, G!
Thanks, R!
-
I had labs done, and one of my medications is at the pharmacy, but not the others, yet.
-
Lost in Love by Air Supply, now that’s good pop. I remember the exact moment when I first heard that one.
-
Hopefully, they will be by early next week.
-
Air Supply had a nice run of huge ballads that have stuck in my head though I’ve never owned one of their records.
-
Page of Shame and Sorrow.
-
I have to go to the doc on Monday and get my skin checked out. A few things I need opinions on.
-
Ah, the page that shall not be named.
-
And nowhere near page eight.
-
I’ve been enjoying Cher’s duet with Meat Loaf, “Dead Ringer,” lately.
-
I suppose there's time enough for eight.
-
Depending how tired my digits get.
-
But if there's two of us, it can happen in no time at all.
-
But we're far, far away.
-
Let my fingers do the talking.
-
Why not?
-
Written by Jim Steinman, who coincidentally wrote one of Air Supply’s biggest hits, “Making Love (Out of Nothing at All).”
-
I'd like to HAVE some meatloaf.
-
I never have it, but I really like it.
-
Several jernts serve it, so maybe next week I'll bring it in.
-
There are 3 of us, so we can make swift work of this page.
-
I wish the Daily Grill were still in Studio City - they made great meatloaf.
-
And so does Adriana Hofstetter's mother.
-
My mere made good meatloaf, too. I like it when it has a ketchup glaze.
-
I, myself, have a ketchup glaze.
-
A loaf of meat. Pretty wild when you consider it.
-
I think we'll get there.
-
My mom added crushed up saltines to her meatloaf.
-
If you put meatloaf on your feet you're wearing meat loafers.
-
We don't allow groaning at haineshisway.com.
We're not that far.
We're closer than ever.
-
Starting here, starting now.
-
I do believe page eight is waiting in the wings.
-
See?
-
Looks like we made it.
-
In the shower, we keep a meat loofa.
-
Enter page eight.
-
I occasionally used to be found loafing around the meat.
-
Manilow, an Arista Records artist. Like Air Supply.
-
That sounds nasty.
-
I liked Air Supply and I liked Barry, as overproduced as he was.
Where'd George get to?
Where'd his jam get to?
Where'd his burrito get to?
Jesus served so many with the loaves and fishes. His secret was using meat loaves.
Thanks, G!
New notes are up.
Up are new notes.
I've seen them.
Midnight at the Oasis.
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
Enter page nine.
My mere made good meatloaf, too. I like it when it has a ketchup glaze.
My mom's meatloaf is good, but she never uses a recipe, so it's always different...good, but different.
-
Despite the HHW clock’s lies.
-
Gotta have consistency in the loaf.
-
Where'd George get to?
I'm here. :)
