Well, you've read the notes, the notes were calmer notes, and now it is time for you to post until the calmer cows come home.

Good morning, all!
-
I slept very poorly, so I've been up since 4:30. and I will most likely be in bed early tonight.
-
Access-a-Ride will pick me up later in the day to take me to a nearby CVS for several vaccinations, Covid, Shingles, and Hepatitis.
-
BK, what good news about your new car!
-
Good morning.
-
Take it easy the next couple of days, Elmore. The shingles shot will make you feel crappy. If it's your first.
-
DR Rodzinski, I think Barbara Harris could play anyone. My last car, before moving to New York, was a Gremln. I liked it.
-
Notes enjoined. Beheld.
-
I've seen all three James Dean films, and the only one I remember him in is Giant.
-

You’re talking about my favorite actress, bar none, so total agreement there. My first Hot Wheels car was a Gremlin. When I finally got a real car it was an AMC Hornet wagon my dad and I found for $200.

Thanks for the advice. The latest Covid vaccine had Ann feeliong poorly for several days.
-
Wonder how things went with Iris. Hope she checks in sometime soon.
-
Staying with my daughter for the 4th night in a row, thus not sleeping particularly well. She just got up to vomit a little. Now back asleep.
-
I've got mental lapses: I cannot remember what I read this year beyond the recent book on Maltby & Shire and Thomas Shepard's book on cast recordings. I did read 2/3 of a book that I did not like, written by a friend.
-

Has she been to a doctor?

Sending good medical wishes for Iris. Please check in soon.

Good morning, all.

Thursday.

Today I must go up to one of the theeders to see if I can get their keyboard working. It's a Kurzweil that, sadly, didn't turn out to be one of their best designs, and it isn't booting up. All I can do is try reinstalling the OS, and if it won't read the USB thumb drive, it'll have to wait for a tech.
-
Continuing car vibes for BK!
-
Get well vibes for the Rodzinski clan, and vibes for all the rest of us!

Last night I watched, for my first time, John Ford's THE FUGITIVE (1947) with Henry Fonda and a few other notables. It was another in my ever-popular series, Pull All the Old Unseen Warner Archive DVDs off the Shelf and Give Them a Spin. I'd always been aware of the title, but for all I knew it was some run-of-the-mill prison film or noir or you-name-it. Not so, of course, and while I'll probably never return to it, I was interested enough in it to sit through it once. It was obvious that I'd never seen it, not even at any of the myriad revival house or film festival showings all those years in L.A.
-
IU am sudden;y unwell, and I had to reschedule for next week. Ugh.

The ear worm in my head today is I’d Rather See a Minstrel Show from White Christmas. Make it stop.
-
I need to get ready to usher.
-
Working two events today.
-
First is a funeral mass for Rosemary Kowalski, who died last week at 100. She was a caterer who made a huge impact back in 1968 when the World’s Fair was here. She stayed active up to the end. Sweet woman.
-
I expect to know a few people attending.
-
Then, it’s Doc Watkins’s big band Christmas show, which includes his playing all of the music in A Charlie Brown Christmas.
-
It’s an annual tradition that I thoroughly enjoy.
-

DR Singdaw the five star book was The Martian by Andy Weir.

I put in the debit card information because that's instant and everything else takes a few days. It hit that account in one minute.

Then I walked to the bank and transferred to the business account, so that's done. So, send more of those excellent vibes and xylophones that tomorrow works equally smoothly. If it does, I can pay in full. Either way, I'm going there tomorrow to do all the paperwork.

Car won’t start. So I ask a guy across the street if he can help give me a jump, but he had to get his grandkid to dance class, then I see a parent of a kid in my daughter’s class. He’s driving his Orkin truck. I take off to run after him. Because I’ve lost some weight, my pants are completely falling down! Luckily I was wearing a long coat. Caught up, he had an electric car starter, it worked so I drove to the place that replaced my headlights, and $300 later, I have a new battery. Hoping that solves the issue.

The stage for tonight’s show:

I have had the same thing happen to me, Rodz, since I lost weight. Only not in a school zone. And thankfully not in church.
-
Doc Watkins’s Christmas show was largely the same as before. Instead of Duke Ellington’s Sugar Rum Cherry, there was a clarinet-piano duet of O Holy Night. That had several in the audience on their feet at the end.

Gratuitous Post #250!! :D
-
It's a good adaptation, but I'm only volunteering to get some volunteering time in, and to say hello to one of the actors who was also in An Inspector Calls a couple of months ago.
Have a great time, George!
Thanks, Freddie. I did!

Girl child seeming more like herself today.
Very good news, Rodzinski!

Hopefully, they tested the battery and it showed that it actually needed to be replaced.
-
My mom's car battery died, and I started it with an electric battery jumper and her battery was otherwise fine. She just drove it around for about 15 minutes to recharge it.
-
Somewhere in the latter part of that, I did pull my pants up, I hasten to add.
Whew! ;)
-
Car started nicely.
Good news!
-
So if we hear news of a streaker on the US/Canadian border, we know who it might be.

Food eaten. Not the best batch from Panda Express.
That's too bad. :-\

I actually haven't been to Panda Express in several weeks. I may have to rectify that situation.
