Well, you've read the notes, the notes were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and now it is time for you to post until the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed cows come home.

And the word of the day is: ELEVATING!

Good morning, friends.
-
And others.

.
-
Whipped cream.
-
Now there's an idea I can get behind.
-
Is whipped cream on the keto diet?
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Good morning, all.

More sleeplessness. Ugh.
-
The alarm rang at 5:30 and I decided to sleep in. Annabelle wanted to cuddle - after sleeping on top of the blankets all night, she really wants to get under them and warm herself up. When the temperatures get really cold sometime between now and Easter, she will start sleeping under them most of the night.
So, purring loudly and trilling in extreme contentment, Annabelle curled up next to me, snf I fell asleep. Around 6:30 I decided that was enough snf I needed to feed my three little critters.

The cats have had their breakfast, but I am still pondering what I would like. I think after kitty cleanup I will have some eggs and English muffin with ham.
-
Now that the bathtub is in working order, I will bathe this afternoon. Since getting in and out of the tub is both an ordeal and a safety hazard, please keep me in your thoughts.
I also need to put together the laundry for tomorrow morning.

Sunday morning greetings! Cincinnati Zoo is closing at 1pm today and will be closed tomorrow. Animal care staff staying there overnight.
Things are getting serious…

Vibes for all facing snow.

Have you ever asked Medicare if you might be eligible for some home help a couple of hours a week?
Or maybe the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly known as the Actors Fund)?

PBS is promising a new Maigret series after the year.

Good morning!

DR Jane: the weather app says the snow is starting at midnight here
Sending vibes your way, Kevin. Please stay safe!
-
I didn't know there was a Victor Garber as Liberace movie. I may have to search for that.
-
We've had a dusting of snow.....but now it is coming down in earnest - as they say.
-
MR BK you might check your neighborhood thrift store.
The ones in my area always have bar stools of one type or another and you can take for a spin so to speak.
-
WICKED.
I may give it a try today.....we shall see.
-
Vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Sunday it is.
And since it's Bird Day - I shall spend some time talking to the pair of keets.
They have been spending more time on the side of the cage near the computer so perhaps they are trying to tell me something.
-
PAGE TWO.
-
Good morning, all.
-
It's a very slow Sunday morn', even for the likes of me.
-
My back is complaining about however in the HELL I must have slept on it last night, and it just feels like a slow moving day anyway.
-
I hadn't heard about a Victor Garber Liberace movie either.
As I recall, the thing that bothered me about the Mike Douglas one was the CGI and voice manipulation. I enjoyed the story and all, but that fake de-aging stuff icks me out.
-
Snow has arrived in SW Ohio!
-
Don't say that word!!! :)
Fortunately, though, we aren't in line to get this storm. It's one of those blessed Snowmageddons that stays south of us and blankets the mid-Atlantic instead. We might get a dusting or a very slight covering tomorrow or whenever, but we'll be watching out for our own storms later in the week.
-
But I hope y'all and DR Jrand74 and everyone out that way do fine in this one!
-
Around here they’re describing this storm as a “south of I-70” event.
-
Wow. Well, these types seem to run with pretty clear borders.
Or maybe it's just that sometimes we're in the area of those borders so they seem so obvious.
-
Here in Danbury, we root for anything that's "south of I-84". Sadly, we rarely get exactly that.
-
Well, folks, I think it's about time for me to remove the Post-Its (there are more than it looks here) and give the Nutcracker Project a rest till next year.
I was comparing cuts or other slight deviations taken in four studio recordings and in one video performance. Perhaps a few more next year. But now I'm more familiar with what's what when it comes to more or less standard practices with this piece.
-
I made a spreadsheet of all this, so out with the "stickies" and back to the shelf with the score.
-
Latest forecast is that if we get more than a dusting tomorrow, it'll still be little or no accumulation, and very dry/fluffy. In other words, another backpack leaf-blower event. And that's good news. :)
-
Off to brunch with friends.
-
MR BK you might check your neighborhood thrift store.
The ones in my area always have bar stools of one type or another and you can take for a spin so to speak.
Isn't there an old song lyric "Kingman, bar stool, San Bernardino"

Sunday it is.
And since it's Bird Day - I shall spend some time talking to the pair of keets.
They have been spending more time on the side of the cage near the computer so perhaps they are trying to tell me something.
Are they telling you to send more tweets for Bird Day?
-
My back is complaining about however in the HELL I must have slept on it last night, and it just feels like a slow moving day anyway.
No-back-pain vibes!

Off to brunch with friends.
Have a good time, John G!

DR Iris I am relieved that someone has been going with you to your appointment. I hope this person has also been helpful in asking the right questions and helping you process the information.
-
From DR Iris:
I have been alone for all of the medical appointments, other than her.
It’s been challenging, to say the least.
Sending hugs and vibes.
-
The snow continues, but we can still see a bit of the grass.....
-
My tradition is that on the first BIG snowfall of the year, I watch Where Eagles Dare....so I will get out that Blu Ray.
-
LOL DR FREDDIE.....i don't know what they are chattering about.
They are busy throwing everything out of the treat cup onto the cage floor.....then they eat it from there.
-
I wish I had a treat cup.
-
Last night, out of the blue, I took out the Blu-ray and watched the Hammer film QUATERMASS AND THE PIT for my first time since owning the disc. Wow. It sure beats the old UK PAL DVD I had before, and it's absolutely loaded with good interviews and commentaries. Shout Factory did this one. I have the others in the Quatermass series, including the original BBC telecasts, and I think going through that little collection will be a fun pursuit in the coming weeks.
-
My tradition is that on the first BIG snowfall of the year, I watch Where Eagles Dare....so I will get out that Blu Ray.
DR Jrand74, I hope to hear of a good Winter-A-Go-Go par-tay happening sometime soon.
-
I have survived the Tub of Terror and the cats are celebrating my bathing survival, I was very touched with their elation until Annabelle pointed out that none of them can work a can opener, and if I went to a watery grave, well . . .
-
Good news DR ELMORE.
-
Page Three
-
DR CHAS SMITH - Quatermass is hit or miss for me......but it is mostly entertaining.
-
Now that the bathtub is in working order, I will bathe this afternoon. Since getting in and out of the tub is both an ordeal and a safety hazard, please keep me in your thoughts.
I also need to put together the laundry for tomorrow morning.
Hope everything went well with the tub, Larry!

The snow is falling in greater quantity now.....lovely to look at.....and cars are sliding up and down the street.

Small bunch at church today. Lots of sickness around here.

I do not know from this snow everyone is talking about.
-
DR Iris it looks like students will not be returning to school tomorrow. Continued vibes for clear roads on Tuesday.
-
From Bruce:
It's hard to go to deal with doctors without a support person there, especially for serious issues.
Yes it is. Friends often go with other friends.
-
Keith has gone with me to many of my more serious orthopedic appoints. He has taken photos of my x-rays. The photos of my shoulder came in handy when we moved here and I needed to see a new orthopedist.

Those sliding cars are scary. I often wonder how I ever survived some of my slippery experience without hitting anything.
-
Small bunch at church today. Lots of sickness around here.
Stay well vibes!
-
I do not know from this snow everyone is talking about.
When we moved East I loved the snow, especially the years when school was closed and I went sledding with the boys. I am happy to never deal with it again.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of good sleep.
-
I don't like losing the morning but I really needed a good night's sleep.
-
Had to deal with some email responses and now I can futz and finesse.
-
After that, I'll go to the ATM and get some food to bring home.
-
Enter page four.
-
Then I'll write new pages.
-
I did write more late last night and did fourteen and a half pages, so that was good.

Was anyone looking for a life-sized disco horse?

Happy Twelfth Night!

And may all your Malvolios be cross-gartered in yellow.

-
LOL DR singdaw.....that is very true.
Oh and I want a disco horse.
-
The snow seems to have stopped for the moment.
-
Given all these reports of snow...
-
Oh and I want a disco horse.
I am quite sure you would put it to good use.

Sounds like that could've been the inspiration for "You And Me (But Mostly Me)" from The Book of Mormon. ;D
-
Since it is free for all day I will ask MR BK and others:
What is your favorite episode of I LOVE LUCY?
Mine is Ricky Needs An Agent - where Lucy goes to MGM and pretends to be an agent for Ricky and gets him released from his contract.
A second choice is the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour with Miss Tallulah Bankhead.
"When Miss Bankhead is bored, Miss Bankhead will let you know!"
-
Bells of Hell....
Didn't that star Ingrid Bergman and Bing Crosby?
I said it before DR FREDDIE could.
-

After playing cards at my mom's on Friday, I went to the Lacey Fred Meyer to see if they had any after-holiday candy on sale...they didn't really have much left. ::) BUT, they did have all their ornaments on sale for 90% off! I actually got this Disco Star Tree Topper!
-
The list price was $19.99. I paid only $2.00!

That's great, Vixmom!

I’m so tired all the time
Of course you are with all you do and the fact that you have been sick. Sending energy vibes.
-
Went to the ATM.
-
Decided on I 'N' Out for food.
-
Hadn't had it in a while and it was very good.
-
Prior to the ATM, I futzed and finessed quite a bit, then wrote one page.
-
After I finished eating, I wrote two more pages.
-
Then I had a long and winding telephonic conversation.
-
Them I wrote another couple of page - seven so far, and now I need a short break to rest my back.
-
My goal is seven or eight more pages before bed.
-
Luckily, I'm in a dialogue heavy sequence, and those go more quickly.
-
But for now - a short break is in order.
-
Enter page six.
-
Did you ever find a set designer, BK?
-
Back from dancing.
-
Tomorrow is supposed to get below freezing. I thought that meant tomorrow night.
-
It’s actually supposed to get below freezing at 7 am, so I had to bring in all of the plants tonight.
-
Some of those planters are heavy.
-
But they are all in.
-
And I am exhausted.
-
I also don’t have any place to move.
-
And I am exhausted.
So you're all in, too.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Mega health vibes to you all!
-
I second Freddie’s suggestion about Elmore inquiring about Medicare benefits. My cousin gets cleaning help from Medicare and used to get PT come to her apartment as well. I haven’t a clue how you apply, but maybe your PCP would know. Or call Medicare. To look online.
-
I’m glad the bath was successful and without adventures to write home about.
-
Hello, everyone.
Hi, Jeanne!
-
I tried delivery from Whole Foods for the first time today. (I’m not exactly fast about such things. 🙂 ) Bruce had encouraged me to try Instacart, but they don’t go to Trader Joe’s or my other favorite food store. They do go to Sprouts, though. Then I learned the WF has a 90-day free trial, and it’s hard to beat free. It went smoothly, but they automatically added a $5 tip on a $46 order. I find that high. The form says it’s optional, but it required me to put in something. I don’t mind tipping for good service, but in advance?
How much do others tip? Am I way out of date?
-
Hi, Freddie.
-
Amazon Fresh also adds a tip, but you can change it even after the delivery.
-
This was Whole Foods, not Fresh. The rules seem to be different for each.
I also don’t see a way to add to the tip.
-
I will say it was very convenient , especially since I had been sick and didn’t want to go out.
(Doing better today.)
-
Weather vibes to all who need them.
-
The Globes are interesting.
-
A good week ahead to all.
TTFN.
-
BK, you're the only one I know who has seen The Brutalist. Is it a best picture? The Globes thought so.
-
I'm not a Demi Moore fan or a big horror movie fan, but The Substance sounds interesting.
-
Love for Emilia Perez.
-
Onward!
-
Seven!
-
Global seven!
-
Golden seven!
-
Award-winning seven!
-
Good night, all.
-
DR Iris it looks like students will not be returning to school tomorrow. Continued vibes for clear roads on Tuesday.
Thank you, Jane. The weather forecast is not reassuring.
-
Current forecast:
Overnight snow, mainly after 1am. Low around 24. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Monday, snow. High near 28. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Monday night, snow likely, mainly before 10pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 18. North wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
-
Nice to see Iris posting , vibes and prayers continue for a quick recovery
Thank you, Vixmom!
-
Watched a little bit of tonight’s Golden Globes.
I haven’t seen many of the nominees or winners, and didn’t get most of the humor.
-
Have watched all 3 seasons of “The Bear”, and find most of the actors excellent, especially Jeremy Allen White, who won tonight for the third time in a row.
The show, however, should not be in the “Comedy or Musical” category, in my opinion.
It deals mostly with grief and trauma, and there really isn’t anything funny.
-
DR John G., I’m glad that you were able to take your plants indoors!
-
Health and weather vibes for everyone.
-
The Globes are interesting.
I totally forgot to ask my sister's boyfriend to record them for me. ::)
Oh, well. I no longer have TV, and I only saw one movie in the theater this year: Wicked, Part 1.
-
Ah, the page that shall not be named.
-
And George made his last post before eleven.
-
And he disappeared and hasn't reappeared.
-
Not very sporting.
-
I'm sure he's doing something VERY important.
-
Like eating a burrito.
-
Or watching a video.
-
Or using the ool.
-
The one thing we know he is NOT doing is posting.
-
He is nowhere in sight.
-
I have not sighted him.
-
I HAVE cited him, however.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And I have a strong feeling that page eight is waiting in the wings.
-
See?
-
Enter page eight.
-
You know who isn't waiting in the wings?
-
Dear George, that's who isn't waiting in the damn wings.
-
And therefore we can't say Enter George.
-
Yes, we have no George, we have no George today.
-
Just li'l ol' me keeping the home fries alive.
-
Me and my shadow.
