Well, you've read the notes, the notes noted that the personal proofing is done, and now it is time for you to post until the personally proofed cows come home.

In the morning, I need to get up earlier than usual so that I can drive my mom to a doctor's appointment. It shouldn't take too long, so that's good.
-
And last night, I was watching some Meidas Touch vids. ::)
-
They are very informative!
-
Friday.

Driving to the test vibes for MR BK.
-
It is 4 degrees here headed for 27 degrees.
In a bit I shall be on the way to the getting place if the car starts.
-
Good morning, all.
-
It is 12 (count ’em) degrees here, headed for 32 degrees.

I’m doing fine with yesterday’s shingles shot, but am definitely feeling the fatigue-y and ache-y reaction. Oddly, it feels better to be up and around than it did being in bed. I thought I’d enjoy some solid sleep, but I ended up waking every hour or more, and one irritating dream kept coming back around. There was one interesting one toward morning, though, that I’ll have to solidify in my mind.
-
Thankfully, it’s a stay at home and read day for me.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Once again, the alarm rang at 5:30 and I staggered out of bed around 7:15.
I awoke for a bathroom break around 2:15, and about thirty minutes later, there were what sounded like 8-15 gunshots outside. The noise sent Annabelle leaping off my bed to hide. I expected to hear police sirens at any moment, but there was nothing but silence and I drifted back to sleep.
-
Medical vibes for BK!
-
BK, you just passed 149,900, which means an incredibly momentous milestone of a millstone of 150,000 could get here at any time - maybe even this weekend!
-
I was awakened later by Annabelle's attempts to get under the blankets for warmth, so I let her inside, and she settled next to my bent knees while I cuddled with Thatch. I dozed on and off until the alarm rang. Then I cuddled with Annabelle until she was warm - I think her body temperature is 104 degrees - and she wanted ot of the blankets. Then I cuddled with Thatch.
-
Stella had been sleeping with me until the bathroom break. I think she headed off to the bathroom. Because of the steam pipe there, it's the warmest room in the apartment.
-
I must begin my income tax preparation. I wasn't happy with Tax Master last year and that 2-month wait for my return, and I still miss my accountant of the past 30+ years, so I''m going to try Joshie's tax people this year. They asked to see last year's returns, and I sent them a PDF. Yesterday, they accepted me as a client.
-
Of course, the big question is how do I pay for my taxes with no work?
-
DR elmore3003 - what would happen if you didn't set an alarm?

Good morning, friends.

And others.

You are so kind to say that and I think it’s because you have such a big heart.

In the ‘70s, beer can collecting was all the rage, and my brother had quite the collection. One time I was riding up our block on a toy horse on wheels, when a friend of my brother came up and told me my brother had wanted to give him a can, would I go get one? So I chose the one that looked the neatest, which was his rarest, a can from Hawaii. When my brother got home, I happily told him how I’d helped, only he went berserk. The kid had lied and scammed me. I was in trouble. My dad had to go visit the kid’s parents. High-level negotiations were had, by nightfall, the can was returned and I was off the hook. Scammers of the innocent have always been a fact of life.

I keep wanting Patti LuPone to do her stop the GYPSY show rant:

When the scammer is your own brother and his wife, what do you do?
I wrote a little song about it. With an "Age 18+ only" warning on it (F-- word used several times; parental guidance suggested for horrific greed and gay-targeting!)

To return to the Rodgers & Hart songs for a moment, how many of you know they wrote two "Spring is Here" songs? The first was from their 1929 show Spring is Here, which included "Why Can't I?" and "With A Song in My Heart." The mopre famos one is from the 1939 I Married An Angel."
Here are Frank Albertson and Inez Courtney doing the song in the 1930 film of Spring Is Here:

Definitely not children who request beer cans from me.

:) That was from Nov. 2018. With the actual numbers getting more clear now, I'd have had to make it a lot stronger.

Prepare to laugh DR JOHN G. I first saw that movie when it was on Frances Farmer Presents and she had some amusing things to say about it.....and the repressed cadets are hilarious.

Moving is better to reduce the achiness and the fatigue.

I got a Covid shot and a flu shot (one in each arm) on Tuesday, and didn't have any pain or even much discomfort at all. :-\

I did that, I think it was last year, and no problem. The Covid one leaves me with a little feeling of fatigue the next day, but the new booster a couple of weeks ago was nothing. Flu shots, nothing, ever. And this first shingles shot is just the most minor feeling of achiness now that I'm up and around, that it's practically nothing either. I can sure feel the spot on my arm, though. :)

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.

I'm thinking about doing the shingles shot & shot in February.

The online health care application has a Date of Death field right next to the Date of Birth field. This is because in some cases a family member that has died is still considered part of that household for the rest of the calendar year.
In any case, people often don't read and put their Date of Birth in both fields. The system considers that person deceased, and they are not eligible for any benefits.
Internally, we call these "Zombie" cases. The living dead.
I have often stated that if the State did a cost benefit analysis, fixing the application would pay for itself in no time. We spend far too many resources fixing problems for people who don't read.

Back from the blood test. A bit late getting to me, because they came out and called my first name, which I did NOT hear, and some other Bruce, despite it not being his time, went in. But once in it went very quickly. Not quite the gentle touch of the last gal, but not terrible.

Little traffic going there until halfway to Sunset, at which point is was a crawl all the way down because - street work and one lane completely closed. Absolutely ridiculous. Once past that, it was easy.
-
Rather than park in the building, I found a two-hour space three blocks away. Of course, the minute I began the three-block walk there were suddenly ten empty spaces including one a half-block away from the building.

The drive back was fine - street work was done and gone.

You'd think that there could be a check message, something like: "You entered the same date for DOB and DOD. Did you mean to do this?" before it actually "sends." And that would allow the user to correct the mistake. I mean it's the 21st century! These kinds of check messages are all over online forms.

When I listen to Bach's "Goldberg Variations," I usually prefer the renditions on a modern piano. But I'm listening to a very good performance on harpsichord right now, by the aptly named Jean Rondeau.

Was it blank?
-
In the ‘70s, beer can collecting was all the rage, and my brother had quite the collection.
When the scammer is your own brother and his wife, what do you do?
From personal experience, sister never my brother, you are screwed.
Was your situation about money?
My whole life though I didn't realize what was happening until I got older. I also have great memories with her. It was very sad.
:( Are you able to talk here about what kind of scam she pulled, or do you keep that information private?
What I will say is that because of her I have a better understanding of people like our president.
:( I'm so sorry to hear about that, Jane.

Ushering for Drew Lynch, a comedian, tonight.
-
Afterward, I will stop by the shelter. Tonight should be the last night. At least for this round of cold.

;D
-
DR Singdaw did you read it or delete the email?
I saved it to read later.
-
I aspire to make bread at home, but if I'm honest with myself, I probably never will.

Don’t work so hard at it. https://30seconds.com/food/tip/56699/Magic-No-Knead-French-Bread-Recipe-3-Ingredients-Water

I spent a week creating sourdough starter and made the bread. It was great, but not worth the effort when it was close enough to a no-knead recipe I tried a few years ago. This one can be modified to your liking.

Enjoy, John!
I doubt it. I never care for the comedians. I’m too old.
-
But I will try.
-
Thank you DR Freddie.

I have received emails from both Baskin Robbins and See's Candy celebrating peanut butter day.

CONGRATULATIONS, DR Jane, on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!!!!

It's never too late to celebrate an HHW millstone!
And it's never too late to Mendelssohn!
-
Have a millstone, Mr. Goldstone?
-
Have a millstone, Mr. Mendelssohn?
-
Have a Mendelssohn, Mr. Eggroll?
-
Perhaps a piece of Mahler's!
-
Now that's just silly.
-
Have a Mendelssohn, Mr. Eggroll?
Have some Mandelbroit, Mr. Goldman?
-
The possibilities are almost endless!
-
:)
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.

I am the proud new owner of a copy of DR John G.'s mother's cookbook!
I hope you enjoy it. Start with the pound cake recipes.
-
Michael G, how did La somnabula go?
And pardon my spelling.
-
I’m back at the shelter. I missed some fireworks, as in a physical assault launched by one woman.
-
It all seems to be quiet now.
-
The two comedians, Drew Lynch and someone with the first name of Justin, made me laugh a few times, but, overall, I still find them a waste of my time. I am too old.
-
I also don’t like some of the passive-aggressive, I’m not a homophobe jokes.
-
Lynch did have a fun bit about a Gen Z suicide hotline volunteer named Paprika who would tell callers to text instead of calling and then select the appropriate emoji for how they’re feeling.
-
We’re almost to the page that has been named.
-
And Mame still gets blamed.
-
Was the wrong man framed?
-
Or wws he merely gamed?
-
Seven!
-
Howdy, Rupert!
-
A lull.
-
WOW, DR George - you are eating like a King today! :)
I know, right?
-
And for dinner, I drove through Jack in the Box. Just decided to make it that kind of day. ;)
-
After I dropped her off at home, I went to my friend Margo's to help her and my friend Shelly with getting her dog to the vet for a checkup because the dog got a whole ankle replacement last week. She is doing quite well.
Healing vibes for the dog!
Thanks, Freddie!
-
Veronica Mars (yes, that's what Margo named her dog ;D ) is progressing quite well in her recovery.
-
And then I won the second of the two games of Phase 10 that we played at my mom's house tonight!
-
Today, my 50th anniversary edition of the original concept album of Jesus Christ Superstar arrived. It has a book and an extra disc of outtakes and rarities.
I eventually want to get that. It's in my Saved for Later list.
-
Healing vibes for the dog!
And for DR George's mom, too! :)
Thanks, Singdaw!
-
My mom's physical therapy session went well. She took me out to Denny's afterward. :)
Excellent!
Thanks, Jane. It was nice. :)
-
DR George did you take a full day off of work?
I didn't work at all today.
-

Amazing. I am glad her dog is doing well.
Thanks! So is Margo!

So cute! ;D

Then, Margo bought us all lunch from Wendy's as a thank you.
Nice.
It was. We all ate back at Margo's house and had a nice time afterward.
-
Ushering for Drew Lynch, a comedian, tonight.
Hope you enjoy his show! I remember seeing him on America's Got Talent and really enjoying his act.
-
Home again, home again, jiggity jig.
-
Why does a jiggity jig?
-
Would it ever want to jag?
-
Gratuitous post 200!
-
Good night, all.

Oh, my goodness! :o

The two comedians, Drew Lynch and someone with the first name of Justin, made me laugh a few times, but, overall, I still find them a waste of my time. I am too old.
That's too bad. Granted, I also enjoy Drew's comedy because I think he's awfully nice to look at. ::)

That sounds like to would be funny. :)
-
Good night, all.
Good night, John.
-
Michael G, how did La somnabula go?
And pardon my spelling.
We've just started staging rehearsals. The stumble-through on Tuesday was a piano run-through with all the principals and chorus for the first time. It's still terrifying since we're only offstage for 25 minutes (I timed our two breaks at stumble-through).
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Congrats to Jane on her gallstone, I mean, milestone.
-
Where'd George get to.
-
He's not here.
-
I'm here.
-
Alone again, naturally.
-
Having a diet Sprite at the moment.
-
Sometimes one simply feels like it.
-
And I felt like it.
-
And it felt like me.
-
Not necessarily in that order.
-
I'll definitely achieve a rather major millstone of mine own this weekend.
-
Where'd George get to.
Had to finish playing a game on my phone. ::)
