The news this morning about the plane crash in DC is heartbreaking.

Yesterday afternoon, Ann and Jen brought me my Christmas gift: A new and very sturdy teacart, which is a real improvement over the piece of crap I've been using for the past two years.
-
I had planned to stay inside today but I must run down to the lobby to retrieve a UPS delivery.

Good morning, friends.

DR IRIS during my radiation treatments music was always played - and I asked the technicians if I could bring a CD or thumb drive of music that I liked that could be played during my sessions....and they readily agreed.
I think they had a CD player in the room that they turned on as they left....it was most helpful for me.

I slept with my new CPAP last night.
The bad news: I hate the new nose cap device my doctor prescribed. Instead of air blowing into my nostrils, it blows into a cup from which I am supposed to breathe. Only trouble is, I spent more than four hours concentrating on trying to attain a steady breathing rate. I awakened four times unable to breathe well, and after 4:35 a.m., I gave it up. I replaced the new breathing device with my previous air pillow and "VOILA!" I slept another four hours.
As I am being monitored, I must communicate my issues with the people who want me to make the most of the new device. There was a bit of skepticism about the nose cap order, which they say only my doctor seems to prescribe.
We shall see what we shall see.
-
Now, what shall I do with today?

The library got the new recording of Sunset Blvd. It’s live, which adds an eerie quality to the end of With One Look. But I am not overly impressed so far. The Betty is no Judy Kuhn. The Joe is bland.

I'm up, I'm up - four or five hours of sleep.

The creep builders were out there with there endlessly beeping in reverse trucks - I got up at eight-fifteen because I could take no more. An hour later? Silence. And silence ever since. So, what the HELL was all that noise at seven-thirty in the morning.
-
And how can it take this long to build one house?
-
So irritating.

Good news DR FREDDIE.
-
I watched GRINDHOUSE: Deathproof.....which I had never seen....it was pretty good and certainly a carbon copy of the drive in movies of the 70's movies I paid to $1.75 to see.....and went every night for a week to the local drive in to see it.

I saw the whole Grindhouse at the movie theeder when it came out, and had a great time at it. The few other people there seemed to appreciate the whole throwback presentation as well. It was a fun evening.
I think I bought it when they finally released that actual version instead of the two films separately. Did I? I'll have to look.

Nothing else is going on....here.....as usual.
Do you mean in Pawnee?
You know, DR Jrand74, we expect something to ALWAYS be going on in Pawnee. Please don't let us down.

I say that life in Pawnee should be like a Robert Altman film.
Which reminds me, I pulled Nashville off the shelf the other night and watched it straight through...which I hadn't even expected to do. I figured I'd take a break or two, or even watch it over two evenings. Not so. It sucked me right in.

Yesterday afternoon, Ann and Jen brought me my Christmas gift: A new and very sturdy teacart, which is a real improvement over the piece of crap I've been using for the past two years.
How nice!
You have lovely neighbors.

DR IRIS during my radiation treatments music was always played - and I asked the technicians if I could bring a CD or thumb drive of music that I liked that could be played during my sessions....and they readily agreed.
I think they had a CD player in the room that they turned on as they left....it was most helpful for me.
Thank you, JRand…good to know!
-
More vibes for DR Iris.
~~~DITTO!!~~~
Thank you, George. Vibes for your mom!
My publisher has an intriguing title coming up:
https://rowman.com/ISBN/9781493085835/Matching-Minds-with-Sondheim-The-Puzzles-and-Games-of-the-Broadway-Legend
This looks great! I’m sure the puzzles and games are quite challenging.
The creep builders were out there with there endlessly beeping in reverse trucks - I got up at eight-fifteen because I could take no more. An hour later? Silence. And silence ever since. So, what the HELL was all that noise at seven-thirty in the morning.
This sort of thing happens on a regular basis outside of my building. Maddening!
Well, I must be off. I'm working concessions for Whose Live Anyway? (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/whose-live-anyway-1-30-25/) :D
I can't wait! After the show, I'll come back to my mom's house.
Wow! Lucky! Can’t wait to hear about it!
-
George, were Ryan Stiles and Greg Proops performing?
As you probably know, I went to almost every taping of Whose Line is it Anyway?
-
I have never laughed so hard in my life.
What they can’t show on camera is incredibly hilarious.
-
Since this is seafood day on HHW, hope it's OK to go fishing for some extra views for this old video from 2009.
FISH! - based on the now-debunked urban legend
JEREMY PIVEN "SPEED THE PLOW" SUSHI SCANDAL- Parody, tune of ZIP!
Very funny, Freddie!
I well remember the Jeremy Piven sushi saga. 😄
Grocery run achieved.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
I have to replace the front bumper of my car. Not cheap.
Noooooo! :o What happened?
And why do you have to pay for it? Or is it something silly you did, and you don't want to make a claim? I did that myself a couple of years ago. Backed out of my garage with the rear hatch up. Oy! There went eight hundred smackers.
I did that too! Damaged the garage door frame but was able to Frankenstein it back together. Then a few months later I simply backed out of the garage door before it was fully open. Wrecked a full panel of the garage door. Took a few months but got it fixed.
Wow!
-
I like the HHW plate.
-
Plate rhymes with 8.
-
I’d like ROZ too, as a tribute to Roz Kelly.
-
Faculty money coming back to BK. That’s fantastic!
-
I guess I'm glad I only have a carport.
-
Luka Garza played in the SECOND quarter of the game vs. the Utah Jazz and also in the FOURTH quarter.
He acquitted himself quite well.
-
I have downloaded and will now watch MAESTRO from a couple of years ago....and Midas Man which claims to be a movie about Brian Epstein....time will tell.....
-
Watched the first hour of a three-hour movie - since it's a masterpiece and one of my all-time favorites, I'll save the rest for tomorrow night when I'm not so draggy.
-
Proofer one got his once-over back to me - just a handful but all good catches.
-
I’d like ROZ too, as a tribute to Roz Kelly.
Big fan of Roz Kelly.
-
It's been a busy day.
-
Got to spend a few minutes with Jack before going to dance class. He's looking good, though he admits he can see how emaciated he has become.
-
They sent him home 18 days ago from the hospital, which is longer than he was in the hospital.
-
Then went to dance class.
-
Today we had a guy drop out of the ensemble - he just couldn't devote the time necessary (even though we haven't sent a rehearsal schedule) - well, dippity-do, why did you audition and say you had not a single conflict? This generation of actors is the WORST - they miss shows constantly on B'way and tours, they commit then leave without a care. I think the thing to do is to keep a list and share it with every theater in town, so they know what they're in for. And NONE of these people who seem to think this is fine behavior, was that good.
Came home and finished a book. Listened to a Kurt Weill symphony, some Beethoven and now Peter Grimes.
You're better without him.
-
Back in the day, a commitment was a commitment. Didn't matter if there was pay or not. I'll tell you something, the KIDS I work with have more dedication and professionalism.
-
Vibes for your whole cast, BK.
-
Good night, all.
-
Yes, better to happen now than during, which is what happened with 70, Girls, 70 - and I will NOT go through that again.
-
Ah, just got proofer two's once-over. Will now go through his and enter - then the book goes to the designer.
-
I do believe the book can go to the designer tomorrow (Friday). I just have to run one thing by Muse Margaret.
-
More vibes for DR Iris.
Well, I didn't get to see much if it, but what I saw was really funny as usual!
-
They were pretty much sold out!
-
I counted 23 available seats for purchase on their website not too long before I left to go there.
-
New notes are written.
-
But they are not posted.
-
Or toasted.
-
I was assigned barback, so I took money and got extra supplies as needed.
-
Or roasted.
-
Enter page nine.
-
I must go to bed right after posting these here new notes.
-
Say what?
-
What say?
-
Rinsing with warm salt water.
-
Rinsed.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
Greg Proops was there, and Jeff Davis, Joel Murray (Bill Murray's brother), Gary Anthony Williams, and Dave Foley (from Kids in the Hall).
