Well, you've read the notes, the notes were rehearsed, blurbed, and sigging hre, and now it is time for you to post until the blurbing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CHIPPER!

Good morning, all!
-
I slept quite well, whoich has me completely baffled. It happens so rarely these days.
-
Good morning.
-
I wish I could get to LA to see Drat! The Cat!. I'm enjoying the rehearsal bits we get from BK, and I would really lke to see photos of the cast or a cast list on who is playing whom.
-
Good morning.
Good morning, DR Laura! I'm happy you liked Some Like It Hot.
-
Very nice blurb from Peter Filichia! I wonder if I can get him to do one for A&T.
-
After my guests left yesterday afternoon - they were off to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the Tiffany lamps - I puttered around the apartment, worked on my iTunes mess for a bit, and then got mysef and the cats a bit of dinner. After cleanup, I let the cats watch TV while I read more of my Cat in the Stacks mystery, which I am really enjoying. It is so much better than the awful "Mysteries of Max" and it reminds me a lot of the late Lilian Jacksdon Braun's "The Cat Who . . ." series.
-
I haven't decided yet if I'm doing laundry today or tomorrow. Oh, yes, I'm the Great Procrastinator. What I really want to do before the English muffins get stale is cook a big breakfast. Oh, the dilemma!
-
DR MichaelG, I am so happy that La Sonnambula is going well. I only know a couple of arias recorded by Callas, who came up yesterday in my iTunes disaster. I'm not a huge Donizetti or Bellini fan; but I do love Rossini and Mozart. I guiess Beethoven's Fidelio, which I love, also falls into that time zone I've created. Anyway, I'm very, very happy for your company's success.
-
In May 1979. about a month before I moved toi New York, the community theatre I created performed Benjamin Briotten's version of The Beggar's Opera.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Great blurb, BK.
-
Great photos, Elmore.
-
BK, what a fabulous blurb for your new book from Peter Felicia!
-
BK - also continuing to enjoy as much DRAT! THE CAT! behind the scenes detail as you can share!
-
Rodzinski, I really enjoyed your riffs on circuses in last night's posts.
-
Sunday morning greetings! It rained all day yesterday, then we had thunder sleet overnight that turned to snow.
-
And once again, DR Elmore has sent me down memory lane!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Still have a scratchy throat and some breathing problems, but the sleep mask worked last night after about 15 minutes or so.
-
We're in a real ice storm here. Today's temperatures should be going up enough to get rid of it, or most of it, but it's at freezing now and only going up a degree per hour. Can't happen soon enough.
-
Bells are playing this morning. We’re doing a simple version of Simple Gifts. Sounds pretty good.
-
Well we got a couple of inches on S**W last night.
-
Nice blurb.
-
Congrats to DR MICHAEL G on his success!
-
DR ELMORE those are great pictures - just what I needed this morning.
-
Yes I loved the "cut in" songs and used to do a few myself......
-
Page Two.
-
Feel better vibes for DR JANE.
-
Excited about The Book.
-
I am making a ribeye steak with potato wedges.
-
I am glad to hear that DRAT! is continuing apace.
-
Congratulations to MichaelG! Love hearing about your performances going so well!
-
Congrats to DR MICHAEL G on his success!
Indeed.

-
Thanks DR ELMORE!
-
Snow and sidewalk shoveled.....cars started and revved a bit in anticipation of single digit temps the next four nights.
-
Last night there was nothing I wanted to watch, so I opened the bottom drawer of the wooden filing cabinet in the closet I cleaned out last year.....and pulled out a handful of magazines to read.
Turns out the handful included several copies of Van Helsing's Journal and Scarlet The Movie Magazine - both of which I wrote book and dvd reviews for back in the day.
It was nice to see my name on the masthead and to read my reviews....long forgotten....funny stuff.
-
MR BK was represented by his review of a LARGE $250 book about Mario Bava......
-
Good morning, friends.

I ended up sleeping most of the day yesterday and woke up feeling worse than ever
-
We are spoiled by having a washer/dryer in our apartment.
Wow! That's terrific to have that.
-
I ended up going back to sleep and only when I woke this morning at 630 with a painful sore throat realized that I hadn’t notified anyone at church that I was sick and the altar had not been set
-
It seems when I turned the corner, I slammed right into a wall
Oh no! Sending you more healthy vibes!
-
I waited until 730 am then called our church deacon who I knew was schedule to be assisting minister this morning with apologies and explanation. She kindly said she’d handle everything

Happy Sunday! Time for a new Broadway Radio Show... On the new episode, I welcome back David Levy with a whole new collection of fun show tune covers. This time, David focuses on songs from Broadway flops, specifically ones written about in Ken Mandelbaum's classic book Not Since Carrie. You'll hear Broadway cover versions by such great singers as Tony Bennett, Connie Francis, Johnny Mathis, and even Gypsy Rose Lee! check it out...

Last night, I worked concessions for the tour of Spamilton (https://spamilton.com/)! ;D
-
We were told that it was supposed to be 85 minutes (and no intermission), but it really was more like 70 minutes. ::)
-
All the performers were very good and it was a fun and funny show.
-
I think it helped knowing all the references, but the audience really enjoyed it.
-
Today, I'm working concessions again for the silent film series with live organ music...and today's show will also have a cellist playing!

This idiot newbie in the House of Reps, Claudia Tenney, has introduced a bill to make Trump's birthday a national holiday. I think she's working overtime to make a name for herself.
Well, Claudia, you foolish ambitious bitch, I think the national holiday should be the day Trump dies.
-
DR FREDDIE that was a funny video....and I liked all of the pictures.
-
Hmmm.....I may reach a millstone today.
-
Time will tell.
-
Sister Linda has lost power in Virginia. Not good.
-
Gratuitous post 111!
-
Oh no.....I hate being without power.
-
Watching some basketball.
-
I finally looked up on Google how to get rid of apps I don't want on my ROKU tv.
Much less cluttered now.

I tried to watch the 1916 Universal silent version of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.....18 minutes later, I quit.

I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of sleep.
-
I wrote a review for the Bava book? Jrand, can you send to me? I'm sure I have the magazine somewhere but where I have no clew.
-
I think our new oven clock is super cool.
-
You have to click on the photo to see the clock better.
-
MR BK I will scan it and send it along.
-
Thank you DR Ginny.
-
MR BK I posted it on Facebook and tagged you.
-
Bruce, with and without is what I suspected. It is good you know ahead of time. I think not knowing what it is like is most of the stress. A CT scan really is much easier than an MRI. The IV in your arm is a bit awkward but not a big deal. I suggest wearing a t-shirt in case you don't need to change for the scan. Then the IV won't be an issue.
-
Thank you DR Rodzinski.
-
I thought it was dinner time but it's only 4:11 p.m
I feel like a cat.
-
Basketball.....even more.
-
Still have a scratchy throat and some breathing problems, but the sleep mask worked last night after about 15 minutes or so.
That's encouraging. Continue to feel better. I hope you don't have covid.
-
Feel better vibes for DR JANE.
Thank you. I didn't cough much last night and mostly slept again. I think I am improving.
-
I remember when I used to write DVD and BOOK reviews for SCARLET STREET - the precursor to SCARLET MAGAZINE.
I was always careful to send in my copy on time. But then twice in a row my reviews were bumped because one of the editor's favorites had something that just HAD to be published in THIS ISSUE.
After the second time I emailed and said that he was punishing the folks who met their deadlines and that didn't seem fair.
You would have thought I had stepped on his cat.....he was really mean and condescending in his response - although he never did it to me again.
And now the old bitch is dead. GOOD.
-
A few flurries again.....but hopefully nothing will accumulate.
-
Two hours until sundown.

We are spoiled by having a washer/dryer in our apartment.

A NY Times reporter for The Wirecutter has been test-trialing a $56,000 mattress - the Swedish Hästens2000T - and says it's worth every penny.
I googled this and saw a price tag of $62,080.00.
-
The mattress uses specially selected pure horsetail hair using the very longest and strongest strands that provide extra springiness.

This is Yogi, a friend's rescue dog. I don't know what breed he is.

Sister Linda has lost power in Virginia. Not good.
I'm sorry. Vibes it isn't off for long.
-
I dislike losing power any time of the year but winter is especially hard if the heat also goes out. In the three houses on wells we always lost our water as well. Two of those houses had oil heaters so we only lost the heat when the oil delivery was late, not because the power went out.

RIP, Richard, was it? I had a couple dealings with him. I must’ve met him through some HHW connection.
-
Asked me if I could digitize some songs for him from vinyl. I said sure. He proceeded to send me about 25 records to digitize. These were those soundtrack bootlegs you used to find, and some of these records had like 40 songs each. Quite the chore. But I hope he enjoyed hearing before he died.

I was very productive as well, cleaning, doing laundry, and baking.

Fingers crossed I will test negative in the morning and can return to the gym.

Stacked. I guess that saves space. Still, they have a pretty good capacity.

For some strange reason, I feel like singing a classic patriotic song.
-
I wonder what brought that on.
-
It seems I do have covid.
-
I really like your new oven clock, DR Jane.
-
Oh no, DR John G. I'm sorry.

Groceries have been procured at the getting place.

Thanks for capturing my millstone DR singdaw and thanks to you and DR JANE and DR FREDDIE and DR RODZINSKI and MR BK for noticing.
-
Yes DR RODZINSKI that's the guy.
He co produced a CD with MR BK that was really a lot fun.
-
Eight!
-
Thank you. I have no fever and no symptoms other than a scratchy throat.
-
Irma la Douce is not very good. I have been watching it forever. And I still have a half hour to go.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
DR MichaelG, I am so happy that La Sonnambula is going well.
Thanks, DR elmore3003! I'm not as big a Bellini fan as I am of Puccini and Verdi. But it's really fun to get inside these operas and see what makes them tick, and there's always plenty of gorgeous music. We did Norma a few seasons ago. I agree with Fidelio as a favorite.
-
Congrats to DR MICHAEL G on his success!
Thanks, DR Jrand74!
-
Congratulations to MichaelG! Love hearing about your performances going so well!
Thanks, DR Freddie!
-
Congrats to DR MICHAEL G on his success!
Indeed.
Thanks, DR John G!
-
Thanks to all for the good wishes. Our second performance had a bigger house who were again enthusiastic, and laughing at more of the jokes than last night.
-
We got our first review, with lots of positive things to say, including the chorus:

After the disappointment of Irma, I started Houseboat with Cary Grant and Sophia Loren. I didn't realize it was a sad comedy. I like it, but the kids are all sad.

Yes DR RODZINSKI that's the guy.
He co produced a CD with MR BK that was really a lot fun.
Oh yes! I remember now!
-
Am I the only one here who watched the SNL 50th Anniversary special tonight??
-
I loved it.
Some skits were better than others, but I enjoyed it tremendously.
-
Laughed more than I have in a very long time.
Shed a tear or two, as well.
-
Paul McCartney closed the show with “Golden Slumbers”.
His voice is not as strong, of course, but at 82, that man still rocks!
-
Paul Simon opened with “Homeward Bound”.
Very touching.
-
Lots of very funny people scattered throughout the audience, who were brought into several sketches.
Nathan Lane had a cameo, and he was great.
-
Hi, Iris!
-
Now I will try to find it online, so I can watch parts of the show again.
Last night, they showed the very first SNL episode, hosted by George Carlin.
I miss him.
-
Super health vibes for Jane, Vixmom, John G. and all in need.
-
We currently have winds blowing at 60 miles per hour.
Hope the power stays on.
-
Hi, John!
Wishing you a quick recovery from Covid.
Lots of it going around.
-
I haven’t had Covid yet.
I am referred to as a “Novid”. 😊
-
Wishing everyone a good week!
-
This is my first time.
-
I'm not sure about anything about it.
-
But I will hopefully sleep on it.
-
Nine!
-
Good night, all.

A very nice review. Are you in any of the pictures?
I'm in most of them, but usually obscured by other cast, a prop, or lighting. But I'm farthest to the right in the third picture, and the guy in the middle of the front row of choristers in the sixth picture.

This is the sixth photo where I'm in the middle of the front row of choristers.

After the concessioning today, the family is going to my mom's for and early dinner. We're getting take-out from Panda Express and Happy Teriyaki.
Be back later!
Is there any other kind of Teriyaki than Happy Teriyaki?
I wouldn't think so. ;D
-
(unless the food the Teriyaki is on isn't good, that is)
It is quite good...in my humble opinion.

I agree! ;)
-
But you think that's bad...

Sister Linda has lost power in Virginia. Not good.
Oh, no! Hopefully, it's restored quickly!
-
And now that we're so close...
-
Gratuitous post 111!
I'll see that and Gratuitously Post #250!! :D

Wow, Jane! That is pretty cool!

Feel better vibes for DR JANE.
Thank you. I didn't cough much last night and mostly slept again. I think I am improving.
Very good news!

A NY Times reporter for The Wirecutter has been test-trialing a $56,000 mattress - the Swedish Hästens2000T - and says it's worth every penny.
I googled this and saw a price tag of $62,080.00.
No. Just...no.

Panda Express for food - waiting for it to arrive.
The Panda Express that we had today was quite delish. I hope yours was too!
-
All the performers were very good and it was a fun and funny show.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks, Jane!

Today, I'm working concessions again for the silent film series with live organ music...and today's show will also have a cellist playing!
Lovely.
Well, I was wrong. Today's movies (a couple of Harold Lloyd movies) did not have the cello accompaniment. Next month's movies will have the cello. I misremembered the order of the programs. ::)

Doesn't look like I'll have the link for the pre-order in time for the notes, but I've left a placeholder there because I should have them tonight at some point before bed. If not, morning.

Page nine - haven't gotten there for some time.

I like page nine.

New notes are written.
