Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Supernotes, and now it is time for you to post until the Supercows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GREGARIOUS!

Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well, but I really detest daylight savings time. If the Fat Orange Felon killed it for good with one of his executive orders, it would be the one thing he's done that I approved.
-
Thatch, for the first time I can recall, is on the shit list: while I was preparing the cats' breakfasts, he got into their treats carton, pulled out the bag of bonitio chips, and chewed a hole in the bottom of the bag; now the damned chips will dry out more than they are. I am not amused. No, I am not amused.
-
That rascal!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Annabelle, our usual provacateuse, now that she's had her minced tuna, sleeps happily on the teacart. Stella has this large Amazon carton I''ve taped together several times now that she prefers to call her budoir.
-
I could take the garbage and recyclables to the basement, but I think I will be slovenly lazy and postpone that to tomorrow. Instead, I will laze about, read my mystery, maybe watch the new DVD of Wicked, and watch my PBS cooking shows. The two cooking hosts that drive me up the wall are the "Jazzy Vegetarian" and Christopher Kimball of Milk Street. The Jazzy Vegetarian drives me crazy with her cutesie-poo enthusiasm, and Mr Kimball reminds me too much of that creepy chef who was on PBS years ago, the Frugal Gourmet.
-
I could take the garbage and recyclables to the basement
I just did this myself. Since collection is tomorrow, I was expecting to find no room in the bins, but I was happily surprised.
-
maybe watch the new DVD of Wicked
Looking forward to your thoughts.
-
I am definitely going to need a nap today. Perhaps later this morning. Perhaps this afternoon. Perhaps both.
-
Perhaps. Perhaps. Perhaps.
-
I am dragging.
-
In addition to losing an hour's sleep due to the time change, I couldn't fall asleep until the wee small hours of the morning.
-
They sound better when Sinatra sings about them.
-
BK, vibes all works out well with the lighting designer!
-
BK wrote in the notes: "I am invigorated, I tell you. I feel twitchy and bitchy and manic, I tell you. I am read to tell tales and believe me, there are tales to tell, including the tale of The Randy Vicar and the Swizzle Stick. That one’s a corker and a half."
Feels like there's a song cue somewhere in there.
-
Maybe he is Super Light Man.

Two clocks left to spring forward.....I need a ladder for one so it can wait until last.

Interesting comedy show video about a high school toning down the Nazis and having a sensitivity person for "The Sound of Music"

I have one, a wall clock, to turn forward; I hope I can reach it.
-
Good morning, all.

Mustn’t have Nazis that are bad. It will hurt the feelings of the Neo Nazis

Good morning.
-
My friends really enjoyed Wicked, and the wedding we attended was lovely.
-
It was actually a renewal of vows, sort of. They got married last summer, but wanted the families to celebrate. The "families" includes the church family.
-
I wore a dress. I'm not sure anyone there had seen me in a dress before.
-
And shoes with a low heel. I usually wear flats (or hiking boots).
-
Thanks for sharing Dr LAURA.
-
LOL DR ELMORE nice photo.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Well, here we are. With an hour LESS. With FEWER hours.
See? Unlike many, I know how to use each of those words. (I think.)
-
Today is a day of rest and recovery from the sea.
Tomorrow begins a week in Yonkers and the Harmonia Gardens.
-
Oh man. A car accident, of all things. Dreadful.
Here's to a quick recovery for her, and a good quick fitting in of her replacement for BK.
-
We've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty.

Low heels are good.

I got all excited when T began talking about eliminating Daylight Saving Time and then he didn't do it because it was a 50/50 split on how people feel about it. If he cared about what people think then he wouldn't be helping Russia against Ukraine.
-
Interesting article for Lady Gaga fans, on Lady Gaga being interested in creating a Broadway show, but not in starring in a Broadway show.
https://variety.com/2025/music/news/lady-gaga-broadway-musical-mayhem-1236330863/
From that article: "She put the kabosh on the questioner’s suggestion that she needs to star on Broadway, however, saying she didn’t think she could maintain the eight-shows-a week regimen required of theater actors for months or years on end, and that she’d rather put her effort into the behind-the-scenes creation of a show."

True dat.

Happy Sunday everyone! On the latest episode of the Broadway Radio Show, a look back at the musical history of Broadway's Longacre Theatre. From Leave It To Jane to Swept Away & the upcoming Dead Outlaw, the list of shows isn't long, but it's definitely interesting!

I'm feeling sad. Our grandcat, Kitty, would have been 21 in July. Craig had to let her go on Monday. Twenty was a good long life, still it hurts.

I got very attached to Kitty when they lived with us in Ashland.

I'd sent my "21st Century Oldies" books to Brooklyn College, from which I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree, hoping they'd find one or more of the books worth keeping in their collections.
Of the parody lyric books, the Brooklyn College library seems to have decided to keep the book with the parodies dealing with "Climate and Global Warming, Sung to the Oldies."
https://cuny-bc.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/fulldisplay?docid=alma990087849960106124&context=L&vid=01CUNY_BC:CUNY_BC&lang=en_US&search_scope=IZ_CI_AW&adaptor=Local%20Search%20Engine&tab=Everything&query=any,contains,%22fred%20landau%22&mode=basic
Meanwhile, it seems the Harvard library is accommodating to any books by alumni. Logically, I'd have thought it would have been the other way around.
I'm told by someone who seems to know about these things that Harvard just has more money devoted to holding on to copies of publications by alumni, graduates from any of their schools.

I shall soon be on my way to the gathering and sharing for cousin Stan.
-
Sorry DR JANE
Those little paws leave big prints.

And now, I'm off to work concessions for the Washington Center's Silent Film Series. Today's film is Sherlock Jr (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/silent-movie-buster-keaton-3-2025/) with Buster Keaton! Can't wait!

Thank you. They sure do.

Kitty would not have had such a good long life if she had remained on the streets of Romania.
-
I like Gianmarco Soresi. He's funny (and really cute, too ;) ).
George did you ever see this morning show interview where Gianmarco Soresi takes his shirt off for no apparent non-prurient reason?
For some reason, my YouTube offerings algorithm seemed to think I might enjoy this. :)
"Morning press is too early for clothes - Gianmarco Soresi"
at 0:50 here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rg6b-YRk_dY
After he takes off his "Fiddler on the Roof" T-shirt, he says he's only this fit and trim because he has no time to eat, because his agent books him on so much unnecessary morning press.

343 Guests are reading HHW on a Sunday afternoon!
Maybe it's that HHW is THE place on the internet for DRAT! THE CAT! backstage news.
-
Keep in mind this site would never repeat gossip - so pay careful attention the first time!
:)

This day has been hell: last week, one of the wheels on the teacart fell off, and in trying to screw it back into its leg, I decided there were two issues: the screw as too short and defective. About an hour ago, that wheel fell off again, and while I turned the cart over, a second wheel fell off. Much as I am grateful top Ann and Jen for a lovely Christmas gift, I no longer trust this cart, and as soon as thazt damned IRS refund shows up - if it ever does since IRS no longer estimates a 3-wseek turnaround - I'm buying a new one.
-
Yikes! Money vibes so Larry can get a new cart!
-
I decided there were two issues: the screw as too short and defective.
This does suggests a possible Randy Vicar title, though: The Randy Vicar and the Short Defective Screw.
-
I keep visualizing a Randy Vicar streaming series, with the titular Randy Vicar being the latest (and third in the series, so far) Vicar from GRANTCHESTER, who seems to do more bed-hopping than others who aren't members of the church.
-
:D

:)

:)
:) Excellent!
-
My sympathies, Jane.
-
Thank you John.
-
Sherlock Jr. is one of my favorite Keaton films, George. You’re in for a laugh riot.
-
I’m really sleepy. I want my hour back.
-
Maybe I should file a complaint with PayPal.
-
I want a new page too.

DR Rodzinski, are the Canadians still buying gas at your local stations?
-
I just read an article that Bellingham, a popular town for Canadians to visit, is hurting from lack of visitors.

That sounds lovely.
-
DR Rodzinski, are the Canadians still buying gas at your local stations?
Jane, haven’t noticed it yet, but it is a fear among the locals, and I’ve noticed a little gas price war going on among our 4 gas stations.
-
The real test will be in spring when normally the Canadians swarm here to their summer cabins and homes.
-
Good evening!

Sorry to hear about Kitty, DR Jane

A shame about the price war. They should be working together to think of ways to entire Canadians.

Much appreciated.

Sorry about your grandkitty, Jane. :(
Thank you.

It is sad that towns that support Canada are also hurting from the situation.
-
Good afternoon.
-
We don't change our clocks here, but my phone was wrong this morning. I had to reboot it to get it to be correct.
-
So sorry about Kitty, Jane. My goodness. She lived a good long life.
-
Our Sasha lived to be about 18 or so. We don't know. She was an adult when she came with a litter of kittens as fosters.
Rex showed up on our porch. He lived to be about the same.
My daughter now has one inherited cat who is about 16 or so.
-
Glad your gathering for Stan was a nice one, JRand.

That's strange. Has it happened before?
-
So sorry about Kitty, Jane. My goodness. She lived a good long life.
Thank you. She did. She had a seizure. Initial test didn't show anything. The vet suspected a brain tumor or something only an MRI would should. Once home she basically stopped eating.
Monday Craig took the day off from work and the vet went to his place.
-

DR Ron was your cat twenty or twenty one?

My best friend from high school now lives in Bellingham.

Back to Nosferatu. I have skipped to the end. It’s really not very good.

Nosferatu backward is Utarefson.

Back to Nosferatu.
Orginally in Ragtime, the song was called "Back to Nosferatu." But then they went in a different direction.

Back to Nosferatu.
Orginally in Ragtime, the song was called "Back to Nosferatu." But then they went in a different direction.
I think i remember a bootleg recording of that version. It was sung by Evelyn Nesbit. (Get it? -bit? Nosferatu? No groaning.)
-
Watching Marion Davies and Clark Gable in Cain and Mabel. Supposedly there are Warren and Dubin songs, but they haven’t been played yet.
-
Not fond of this page.

It never seems to end.

Just like that …

A new page approaches.

Six!

Good morning!

No?

The chili cookoff last night was fun
-
The theme was Disney this year
-
I will see if I can post some photos here
-
Chili cook off!

My sister's flight home just landed in Indy - so I very happy about that.

Great news!
-
The theme was Disney this year
That sounds fabulous!
-
Marion Davies is no singer or dancer. Sadly, Bobby Connolly was a lousy choreographer. And Orry-Kelly sabotages her by giving her a dreadful costume. All the while the Shadow Waltz is playing in the background. It’s all designed to make her look as bad as possible.

Up

I'm not sure what the chickens had to do with Disney
-
This guy looked Incredible
-
Pineapple chili was....interesting
-
B&B
-
No lions were harmed in the making of this chili
-
The Frozen folks had the best chili IMHO, it was beef and smoked pork and it was AMAZING!
I was shocked they didn't win.
-
Love the photos, Vixmom!
-
This nut
-
I ended up making a chicken chili, using bits and bobs from different recipes to make my own version.
It was surprisingly nice, although I'm sure it would not qualify as true chili if John was a judge
-
I won a prize!
-
The chili
-
The available garnishes
lime, cheese, sour cream
-
Great job, Vixmom!
-
This morning we had our Bishop visiting and preaching
-
Congratulations, Vixmom!
-
And who cares what I would have thought?
-
Let’s ditch this page!
-
Onward!
-
Seven!
-
Howdy, Rupert!
-
Good night, all.
-
And who cares what I would have thought?
Moi
-
He dresses fancy
-
Back from our designer run - aside from the sloppy and slow scene shifts, it wasn't bad at all. Some of our actors need to start taking charge, energy-wise. That's the next thing to fix. Lighting guy was a no-show. Supposedly we're Zooming tomorrow at four. At this point, unless this guy's a genius, he hasn't read it, he hasn't seen it and I don't see a way in hell he can design, hang, and tech this show by Friday.
-
And now, I'm off to work concessions for the Washington Center's Silent Film Series. Today's film is Sherlock Jr (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/silent-movie-buster-keaton-3-2025/) with Buster Keaton! Can't wait!
So, today's silent movie was a solo cello concert for the first act, then the Buster Keaton movie for the second act.
-
The cellist was Gideon Freudmann (https://m.youtube.com/@gideonfreudmann3214)...of course, I had never heard of him. ::)
-
HOWEVER, the evening was fantastic!
-
He performed his own compositions and I really enjoyed his style.
-
Here's an excerpt of the movie that we saw today with him playing, but this video is not from today. It was uploaded to YouTube on November 11, 2023:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iAwpe20H-2k (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iAwpe20H-2k)
-
This song, called Chair Song, was one of the pieces he performed during the first act:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gHo1l9-N2D8 (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gHo1l9-N2D8)
-
He uses a Bandaloop (never knew what it was called), so that he can record moments of him playing, then instantly play it, and then play something else live against that instant recording.
-
I've seen other performers use this kind of device and it always fascinates me how they can time everything exactly so that it's all completely seamless...no jerky transitions between the end of the recording and instantly playing that recorded loop.
-
Lordy, it's getting so hard to get to page eight.
-
We MUST get there.
-
I don't even think we're close.
-
Do you?
-
Does anyone?
-
Far, far away.
-
Endlessly far away.
-
He had merchandise to sell in the lobby (CDs and a DVD), and then he came out after the show and met people and signed items.
-
I got the DVD:
-
What can one do?
-
Here's the back:
-
What can two do?
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Enter page eight!
-
Just in the nick of time.
-
Whew!
-

Thanks, Freddie! I very muchly did!
