Well, you've read the notes, the notes went in search of a good meal, and now it is time for you to post until the searching cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CYNOSURE!
-
No relation to CYCOLEMAN.
-
The tv did not go on last night
-
I slept until the alarm woke me at 7:00
-
I raved about about The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel when it was on.
-
We are very happy that Susan Crawford is now a Supreme Court Justice for the state of Wisconsin.
-
Keith got Wordle in three.
-
Congrats DR Jrand.
-
We are waiting in a bus instead of outside as it is raining.
-
Our wait is to enter the port terminal for our ship.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I'm feeling under the weather, although I've had this feeling since the November election. I continue to feel like a Berliner in 1933, hating the political situation and too impoverished to get out while I can. On top of that, around 3:30, I had horrible leg pains that provided no sleep until I took a tizanidine. I take small comfort that if I were a horse, I would now be a can of dog food.
-
Last night I returned to The Marvelous Mrs Maisel to watch what should have been Season 4, Episode 5. Instead the damned thing passed Episodes 5-8 and jumped to Season 5, Episode 1. I cannot find anything way to get back to where I should be, and I am not amused.
-
Good morning, friends.

Here's an update on the events at the cat sanctuary fire:
Happy Cat Sanctuary update: Jaeger's Run Animal Rescue Inc. is here with an amazing group of people. We've set up a command station at the house next door. Frankie John Floridia is in the process of pulling cats out of the back that were burned in the fire. Paws of War Is here with their mobile clinic assessing the cats as they're coming out. The game plan now is just to take out the injured animals. We have most of the sanctuary secured. We are setting up a makeshift sanctuary in a warehouse in Holbrook where all the cats will be set up in their own individual cages with a carrier, food and litter box. Once we have all 150 to 200 cats secured at this facility we will have a vet come in and vet vaccinate snap test microchip and do blood work on every one of the cats. I know there's a lot of people out here that want to help but right now we just need your prayers. There are two donation portals. One is here with my rescue and the other one is our GoFundMe page.
Please spread the word!
And please say a prayer for Chris and his family.
If it turns out that this fire was arson, I hope they hang the sonofabitch behind it.

Did I miss a report last night that Val Kilmer - who was Moses - is dead?
-
Good morning, all.

DR Elmore, your post #13 above is somehow lacking ... :)
-
No rehearsals today, but a lot of various and sundry music to work on.

DR Elmore, your post #13 above is somehow lacking ... :)
My damned keyboard keeps eating words. Goddam it. I've repaired it now.

Made it to the hill country.

But are you as old as them thar hills?

That's what I'd like to know.

Last night I read Abigayil, which is quite charming and moving. Mamoulian did not include the story of why tabby cats have an M on their foreheads, so Annabelle and Thatch were disappointed. I was surprised.

Don't examine my resume too closely.
-
I wonder if we can get to page 3 before 6 pm (Eastern)
-
Maybe not
-
Maybe before 7 pm (Eastern)?
-
It's possible!

It's worth a try

Don't examine my resume too closely.

Almost there

Page Three!
-
My county is under a tornado watch until after midnight.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eleven hours of very needed sleep and that's despite the creep builders who seemingly will never finish the job across the street. Slept right through it.
-
Page three? Really?
-
In the must have a good meal department, I've ordered the grilled chicken pasta with broccoli, red onion, and cashews from Stanley's.
-
That sounds really good.
-
They put these mazes in the newspaper every day, but they're far too easy.

I was thinking about opening an Indian bakery, but the idea was a naanstarter.

BK, leaving us in suspense for his big millstone.

Meanwhile, keep the homefries burning.

re: wasn't it a dream of mcglinns to record the entire kern library?
I believe those recordings, as well as the excellent recording of Herbert's Eileen and the complete Herbert songs set and the Herbert works for cello (not including the concertos, which have been recorded enough times, especially the second, that new recordings weren't really needed) were financed by or at least subsidized by another foundation, but then they lost interest in doing more or at least passed on doing more for some reason. Maybe they simply didn't have enough money to do more. Perhaps the Roberta was subsidized by a different foundation than the Herberts. I could check. Maybe I will later.
In any case, Larry Moore, who occasionally posts here, was instrumental in putting together those recordings, and he was an associate of McGlinn's.

Good evening!
-
Keith got Wordle in three.
Me too!
-
Home. And exhausted.

I listened to about 45% of Harlan Coben’s latest, Nobody’s Fool, on the road.
-
WORDLE in five.
-
The main part of the storm went north of us.....but we had high winds and lots of rain.
Still raining.....and of course all network programming is being pre-empted so the weather man can blather the same information every 45 seconds.
-
There was a confirmed tornado north of Indianapolis.....I hope everybody is safe.
-
Those classical artist & repertoire bigwigs are really pushing the envelope!
-
They'll sell like hotcakes!
-
And hotcakes really sell, apparently.
-
Almost as much as home fries.
-
Burning or not.

Burning the home fries at both ends.

Our systems were down at work this morning for an hour and a half.
-
So our team had a wonderful book chat on Teams and I got about 15 titles of recommended books to check out.
-
I am enjoying our digital photo frame so much that I got my mother one as an early birthday present.
-
My sister and I will be able to email to the frame and load it up with content.
-
There is a paucity of posts.
-
OK. Here's a recipe.
-
A recipe for what?
-
Up from a short nap.
-

1/2 cup mayo
2 T ketchup
1 T prepared horseradish
1/2 t granulated garlic
1/2 t smoked paprika

Yesterday's rehearsal went well, but not as well as it should have, but it's on its way.
-
Not all of the sound cues that I need to set off are in the computer yet, so I'm only playing the songs, and setting them off mfunction. From the editor, instead of using the program's play function.
-
I'm sure that it'll be done by tomorrow's rehearsal...especially since we open on Friday!
-
Otherwise, tonight is going fairly well.
-
Not perfect, but it keeps getting better...which is what you want during rehearsals. ;)
-
Now to ketchup on today's posts while we're running-through.
