Well, you've read the notes, the notes had SPOILER ALERTS galore, and now it is time for you to post until the SPOILER ALERT cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ENERGIZE!

:)
-
Well, tonight is opening night for Theater Artists Olympia's remounting of The HEAD!!! That Wouldn't DIE! at Lakewood Playhouse! ;D
-
Last night's rehearsal went really well as compared to the previous couple of days. It'll be good...as long as people come to see the show. ::)
;)
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slep very well. Last night, Stella decided to make up for lost time sleeping with me, and I would guess she slept next to me 2/3 of the night. Thatch joined us after my 1:15 bathroom break, so I'd give him 1/2 of the night. Sleeping between two purring kitties is most benefiocial and soothing.
-
Yesterday was most unsettling day, and I never did get to the laundry, so that's today's priority.
-
The day wasn'r bad; things just kept getting in the way of my intentions. The cats were acting stranger yjan usual, I got worried that there would be an apartment fire, the carbon monoxide alarm went off several times, but I then discovered it was coming from MSNBC - seriously.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.
-
Started the morning by dropping one of my prescription pill bottles. Spent many minutes chasing errant pellets all over the floor.
-
No dreams last night that I can remember.
-
But the weekend is nigh.
-
Should I have said SPOILER ALERT?
-
Always DR singdaw.
-
Have a good day DR ELMORE - you and the katz.
-
Today is getting day.
I have to go by the doctor's office. Since my previous doctor retired - my statin prescription ran out....so I will stop by and ask that my new doctor call it in. It still has two refills left on it;
-
Then to WalMart for groceries and to Dollar [25] Tree for a few things.
DT stock was one of the stocks that took a BIG tumble yesterday thanks to that orange fool.
He can't be smart enough to think of all of these things by himself - he's being lead around by anyone who promises him money and payoffs.
-
At least that's one man's opinion.
-
Then my brother Kent is coming over and I am going to help him apply for unemployment.....it's a long sad story.

Break a leg on opening night to George and the whole company of The HEAD!!! That Wouldn't DIE!

:( But good that he has you to help him do this.

This weekend Vixdad and I are volunteers at the Long Island Tabletop Gaming Convention held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum
-
Tonight after work we’ll go help set everything up and then the next two days we’ll be working the convention from early morning until late
-
Vixdad runs several RPGs as “ games master” while I am just a gofer and help where needed
-
This year I’ve taken a couple less shifts so I can join at least one if Vixdad’s games

Good morning, all.
-
The cat is drugged (on Gabapentin) and we’ll be leaving for his annual checkup in just a bit. I put this one off for a long time. The vet wants twice a year but we do what we can.
-
After that, a quick shower and change, and I’ll be off to Sacred Heart University to accompany a voice lesson for a young lady whose junior recital I’m playing in a couple of weeks.
-
And later, a ME evening!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Opening night vibes for George and company.
-
TOD:
Underworld, a silent movie with no talking.
Maybe Night Moves, if there is time.
-
Starting a Japanese novel called We’ll Prescribe You a Cat. It’s charming.
-
Hitting the road for the hills soon. Going with friends. Should be fun.
-
One of the wineries is across the street from a longtime bbq joint.
-
Good morning.
-
Back. And oy, the cost. Everything goes up.
-
A moment of respite before I get ready to go to the voice lesson. Really looking forward to relaxing this evening.
-
We had a beautiful morning on Malta.
-
DR JRAND, perfect trade of the article for the work on your mulberry bush.
I have not been able to read your article though I still plan to.

Thank you DR Singdaw.

Well...Hellfire and Tarnation!!
This morning, I attempted to pay my taxes "online" and found that the IRS system, located in Charlotte NC for my local office, is completely nonfunctional!
I could get in, and I could get to one point, and then it would not allow me to go further. It kept asking for information I had already entered, time and time again.
I blame DJT and EM! At the most critical point of the year for the IRS and Treasury Department -- a time of the year when thousands of extra folks are hired to help out nationwide -- complete and utter imbecilic idiocy reduces the IRS work force and they cannot hire folks. Apparently their IT staff is either gone or so diminished that they cannot make it possible to pay from our bank accounts.
I'll say this, however: I also paid my state taxes online and it was a breeze!
The next person who says Trump is doing a great -- within earshot of me, that is -- is going to get a tirade of insults from me.
-
So, yes, I am mailing a check. The beleaguered USPS has to bear the burden.

The laundry is in the dryers. While I was in the basement, I met a tenant I had never seen before. He's lived in the building a year.

My first film class last night was great fun! The plan changed - we saw Paper Moon instead of Badlands. He thought Badlands was too depressing to start the class with given the current state of the world.
-
I hadn't seen either one so that was fine with me. I loved Paper Moon. Ryan and Tatum O'Neal were just fabulous in it, and the photography / cinematography was gorgeous.

The other change to the syllabus will be dropping Manhattan in exchange for discussing scenes from Godfather II. It's just scenes because the movie is too long to fit into the class period, and nearly everyone in the class has seen it.
-
I'm not a big fan of Godfather II. But I think this means the schedule is bumped up so I get to see Straight Time instead of the Saturday Night Fever / Grease combo, which works great for me.

I ushered tonight for the Philharmonic. They’re in a new building, The Scottish Rite. It’s gorgeous but antiquated. The AC did not perform well, and the temperature was above 90 outside.
-
There were complaints, to be sure. But the audience stayed and enjoyed the concert.
-
It started with Weber’s Overture to Euryanthe, a short but lovely piece.
-
Guest guitarist Jiji performed Hilary Purrington’s Harp of Nerves, which had been composed for her. The piece is only five years old. It wasn’t much to my liking. It was trying too hard.
Here’s a link.

The second half was Brahms’ Symphony No. 3. Really beautiful.

So, by and large, a fun evening at the philharmonic.

But I don’t have the energy to watch the last half hour tonight.
