Well, you've read the notes, the notes were gaily colored and Easter-like, and now it is time for you to post until the gaily colored cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RESURRECTION!

Wordle 1,401 6/6

Oh, my goodness was I lucky to get the word in only six guesses! :o I knew of three more words that started with a different first letter, but I happened to luck out and pick the one that was today's word just in the nick of time!
-
Same as Keith, Wordle in six.
-
We had to check out of our hotel room and are now waiting for our ride to the airport. This is included in the tour price. We were given a 1:00 time and checkout was at noon. The lobby is nice.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy Easter!
-
It’s also Fiesta here, so I called it Fieaster last night. Seems apt.
-
Happy Easter to all who celebrate!
-
More Modern Major Miracle vibes for BK!

~~~SAFE & EASY TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for DR Jane and DH Keith!!!
Travel vibes for Jane and Keith!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Speaking of today!
-
As a very lapsed Christian, I'm observing it by listening to Bach's Easter Oratorio this morning. I wonder if our DR Ginny and Richard have been up for a sunrise service?
-
The alarm rang at 600 and I decided to sleep in until I felt like getting out of bed. Three demons from hell wouldn't let me. Annabelle kept jumping onto me from the cat tree, Thatch hopped on and off the bed, and Stella decided to lie beside me and give me little love bites.
-
As I dressed, I was thinking about Easter Sundays when I was a child: my brothers and I got new clothes and suits the week before, Saturday night we colored hard-boiled eggs, and Sunday morning the entire family went to church, my parents to a service and my brothers and me to Sunday school. All of my mother's sisters and brothers and their children attended as well. After the service, everyone came to or house for a huge meal -I only remember ham and scalloped potatoes now - and gathering that lasted into the late afternoon.
-
I was greeted with a deluge this morning on my way to church. It was raining so hard I got soaked in the 15 feet run to the car. At church, the parking lot had waves of water in it, so my feet are wet wet and kinda icky.
-
But we need the rain.
-
Today, I have no plans. At some point Ann and Joming by, but I do not know if it's before or after the service they are attending at the Cathedral of St John the Divine on Amsterdam and 112th Street.
-
I'm having a quiet day. I have a new score for "Roses of Picardy" to look over. Joe sent me this email with the score:
I can’t believe the difference your help has made to this! Thank you so much.
We have a session this thursday and we'll discuss the score and the piece he is currently working on.
Glad that you're OK!
My heart is breaking for our former DR Edisaurus.
Four days ago, her beautiful cat Major had surgery, and he is not doing well. I suspect he will leave the veterinary hospital. She could use all the positive and healthy you DRs can send her way.
-
What a beautiful cat. Hugs for Major and Edisaurus.
-
Onward!
-
Two!
-
More hugs and more vibes for Major and Edisaurus. :(
-
Good morning, all.
-
DR Elmore, I think your computer, or perhaps the Easter Bunny, is eating little bits of your posts this morning. Everything's understandable, but there are a few places where one word starts and then ends with what would be the end of the phrase, with a word or three missing. If that description makes any sense. No big deal, it's just that it happened two or three times.
-
I remember ham and scalloped potatoes, too. I loved, and still do, those potatoes. You don't see them often enough these days.
-
Major vibes for Major and Edisaurus.
It's the damned keyboard. I often catch things and correct them, but I sometimes miss.
-
Vibes for Major and DR EDISAURUS.
-
I forgot to mention that yesterday at the basketball game - I sat directly in front of a screeching woman with a shrill voice who would not stop screaming at everything.
My head is still ringing from the noise.
-
It is 53 degrees here headed for 74 degrees....and rain.....
-
I have three hockey playoff games to watch on television.
-
Let’s go New Jersey Devils!
-
Easter for me as a kid was similar to Elmore’s. Color eggs the night before. One thing we did was put our eggs in our baskets. In the morning, our baskets were gone. We had to find them. Sometimes it was hard! When found, they had a heap of candy inside. Then get dressed in our Easter best for mass. Come home and have a big breakfast then head to the grandparents’ for bigger family gathering and dinner.
-
The Easter bunny visited us last night. Left some goodies for my two rascals and some eggs to be found in the backyard. Then I made pancakes.
A touch of blue this morning after the rain.
Very pretty and festive!
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
Already shaved.
Has anyone watched The Marlow Murder Club?
-
Same as Keith, Wordle in six.
Whew!
-
A Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
-
Showered, and I shall now be on my way to the theater.
-
Have a great show! Say hi to Jeanne.
-
Any chance of getting to page 3 before 3 pm (Eastern)?
-
Show vibes for MR BK & co.
-
Page 3 is very close
-
Page Three!
-
Has anyone watched The Marlow Murder Club?
It was fun, but it almost seemed to be written in shorthand. I would have preferred maybe 20 minutes more of character development.
-
Good evening!
-
Happy Easter!
-
Travel vibes for DR Jane and Keith!
-
Wordle: 3/6. Lucky I picked the right one of many rhyming words.
-
This morning went well.
-
The singers sang, and the brass brassed.
-
Have timpani; will travel.
-
Now, to pack. We depart early tomorrow for Palm Springs.
~~~Get Better Vibes for Major!!
-
I fell in love today.
-
Her name is Eartha Kitten.
-
And she has magic powers.
-
She likes to catch and eat flies.
-
Maybe Rendfield would be a better name.
-
Because it is a holiday in San Antonio, children got to whack things.
-
What else would you do with the Easter Bunny but hit him over and over again with a metal rod?
-
And get a reward for doing so?
-
Page three - pish tosh.
-
Tosh pish.
-
Back from our matinee. Too much fumfering in act one - I will have to email the company and tell them there is no excuse for it in week five of a run. Same last night. Friday was great. A few other little things that need fixing, even though they're the same few things I always give notes about.
-
Dear reader Jeanne was there (long drive for her) - I think she enjoyed it.
-
And last night and today, act two was much better and they landed all the big laughs and only one or two fumfers.
-
Lots of cheering at the end, though. The rock of the production is Sydney. There is not a single second of the show where she gives less than 1000% - always focused, sharp, funny, touching - everything.
-
All the Group Rep folks who direct have come to me with hope in their eyeballs asking if Sydney is a member - she isn't. She won't be.
-
Just ordered my beloved pasta dish from Stanley's. Should be here in twenty minutes or so.
-
I'm quite hungry.
-
Page three is ridic.
-
We had several young folks in, all wearing bunny ears.
-
Page four is better than page three.
-
After the final bow, I had the cast say Happy Easter.
-
Let’s do this millstone!
-
CONGRATULATIONS, DR Rodzinski, on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!!!
-
Is that kitty a new permanent roommate, DR John G.?
-
And get a reward for doing so?
Wonderful photos, John G!
-
Let’s do this millstone!
Congratulations, Rodzinki, on your marvelous new millstone!
-
Oh, I guess Eartha Kitten lives at the house you were visiting for Easter.
-
I'm a little slow on the uptake! :)
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
Still page four?
-
Ate the pasta - very good.
-
That said, for the past week nothing has tasted the way it usually does.
-
Wonder why?
-
Quite full now.
-
Full of food.
-
BK, do you make private video recordings for the cast's use, like for Sydney? I know many of our opera leads have used these to help get gigs in bigger houses, but I have no clue how it works with musicals in LA.
-
Congratulations, Rodzinski!
-
Is that kitty a new permanent roommate, DR John G.?
I don’t think her owner would part with her. And the bird probably wouldn’t like it.
-
Got a pot of ham-lentil soup on the stove. I got the leftover hambone at lunch.
-
I’ve got Ace in the Hole on. It’s not exactly an Easter movie.
-
But it is the last Billy Wilder movie I had to watch.
-
Thank you singdaw and Fred and John. Could not have done it without this whole wacky group of pals. I’d like to thank my agent for getting me this gig.
-
Kirk Douglas is excellent.
-
Ace in the Hole, yeah, not the feel-good holiday hit!
-
Ace in the Hole, yeah, not the feel-good holiday hit!
Brutal. I can see why it wasn’t a hit. But that doesn’t make it any less great.
-
Let’s get to five.
-
Uno mas.
-
Five!
-
I got 1.5 inches of rain this morning.
-
Plants looked happy.
-
Hello, everyone.
Sorry I haven’t been able to join you all here much lately. Too much on my plate, too little sleep, plus each day’s new Daily Outrage.
-
Watching season one of Outside the Box.
-
Hard to believe these are 14 years old. And still hysterically funny.
-
DRAT! THE CAT! was a lot of fun. Good score, good energy, and good direction. I noticed several little bits that I suspect were Bruce’s contributions. Yes, Sydney was terrific.
-
Hi, John G.
-
Bruce, was that Barry Pearl I saw there today?
-
Vibes to you all.
TTFN.
-
Hi, Jeanne. Great to see you. You have been missed.
-
“Boil the bunny …”
Hey, it’s an Easter show!
-
I enjoyed both seasons of Outside the Box. And I recognized the opening of Chinatown: The Musical from LA Now and Then.
-
It's time to end this day.
-
Good night, all
-
Barry wasn't there today.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Having a few Milk Duds.
-
I wonder how Milk Duds got its name.
-
I'll have to look it up.
-
Page FIVE?
-
Will no one rid me of this meddlesome page five?
-
Will write some damn notes soon.
-
Damn Notes could be the sequel to Damn Yankees.
-
Or the prequel.
-
Or the quel.
-
Is this the page that never ends?
-
It just goes on and on and on?
-
Why I oughta...
-
And still, on it goes, like an untied shoelace.
-
It goes hither.
-
And thither and yon. But thankfully, page six has entered. Now, get me off this damn page.
-
Damn Page is the prequel to Damn Notes and Damn Yankees.
-
Oh dear Lord, not a single post in thirty minutes or more.
-
Not very sporting.
-
Ridic.
-
You'd think it was Easter or something.
-
Is everyone out playing with their bunnies?
-
What gives?
-
Gives what?
-
Shocking, I tell you.
-
Not a sign of George, who has gone the way of all flesh.
-
~~~SAFE & EASY TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for DR Jane and DH Keith!!!
I forgot to mention that yesterday at the basketball game - I sat directly in front of a screeching woman with a shrill voice who would not stop screaming at everything.
My head is still ringing from the noise.
Groan.
-
We are at the airport waiting for our flight. I was connected to wifi with Keith's phone and he walked away and didn't leave his phone. Oops ;D
-
Let me get this straight - this is the never-ending trip?
-
And still no George.
-
Absolutely ridic.
-
Couldn't be more ridic.
-
Certainly he didn't have a show tonight.
-
Certainly he didn't fall asleep.
-
Travel vibes for DR Jane and Keith!
Thank you.
-
Wordle: 3/6. Lucky I picked the right one of many rhyming words.
Very good.
-
Irritating.
-
Now, to pack. We depart early tomorrow for Palm Springs.
Safe and easy travel vibes! Have fun.
-
Now, to pack. We depart early tomorrow for Palm Springs.
All this travel! What are you, Jane and Keith, all of a sudden? :)
;D
-
I fell in love today.
Awww.
-
I could not do such traveling as Jane and Keith.
-
We had so much fun petting all the sweet cats and dogs on this trip.
-
And she has magic powers.
; D
-
I don't want to claim this page.
-
Her name is Eartha Kitten.
💜
-
I cannot be away that long.
-
Because it is a holiday in San Antonio, children got to whack things.
This is great :)
-
Well, at least we got to THIS page.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Dear reader Jeanne was there (long drive for her) - I think she enjoyed it.
Nice :)
-
Dear, dear, dear.
-
No George.
-
Nada.
-
Nil.
-
Hello, everyone.
Sorry I haven’t been able to join you all here much lately. Too much on my plate, too little sleep, plus each day’s new Daily Outrage.
Sending hugs.
-
Even potato chips don't taste good. What IS going on?
-
Easter for me as a kid was similar to Elmore’s. Color eggs the night before. One thing we did was put our eggs in our baskets. In the morning, our baskets were gone. We had to find them. Sometimes it was hard! When found, they had a heap of candy inside. Then get dressed in our Easter best for mass. Come home and have a big breakfast then head to the grandparents’ for bigger family gathering and dinner.
One year, my parents hid my and my sister's Easter baskets.
-
My sister was able to find hers pretty quickly, but I couldn't find mine. My mom actually hid it, and SHE couldn't remember where it was! :o
-
I think I assumed that they knew that it would eventually be found, so my mom started making breakfast.
-
She turned on the oven to warm to keep the food warm as she cooked each of the items, and eventually we all started smelling melting plastic! :o
-
THAT'S where she hid my "basket"...really, just a big plastic bowl with plastic grass and hollow chocolate bunnies.
-
EVERYTHING that was (previously) edible was melted, and even the plastic bowl started to melt! :P
-
I'm sure that they replaced all my chocolates, but literally ever since then and even to to this day, I ALWAYS look in the oven before turning it on to see if anything is in there.
-
Gratuitous Post #201!!
-
While traveling I attempt to avoid the daily outrages. While it is really impossible to do I fortunately have enough distractions to keep me getting depressed and overly stressed.
-
No George.
I have arrived!
-
The prodigal George finally arrives.
-
Just in time.
-
Today at my sister's, the whole family assembled essentially to celebrate my niece's 41st birthday!
-
Her actual birthday was Thursday.
-
We had food and desserts and we chatted and had a good time, and my niece got lots of cash and gift cards. :)
-
We never used our Canadian pins as there were too many Americans in our tour groups. Especially great was the woman wearing a baseball cap the our flag on it.
-
New notes are up.
-
Then, we all went home and I took a five-hour nap!
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
PAGE EIGHT HAS ARRIVED!
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Enter page eight.
-
Up are new notes.
Can't wait to read them!
-
I did ask the couple wearing Canadian pins if they were Americans pretending to be Canadian or really Canadian. They were Canadians.
