Well, you've read the notes, the notes were dream notes, and now it is time for you to post until the dream cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MAVOURNEEN!
-
Such great news from BK about how well last night's performance of DRAT! THE CAT! went, and how wonderful the audience reaction and the cast were.
-
Lovely news also, about the play next January or February!
-
Interesting posts last night, George!
Will you be going with the show to WorldCon?
-
Good morning, all.
-
BK, your "Locolonic" lyrics last night were hysterical. Thanks for posting them!
Might be usable for "The Randy Vicar and the Fleet Suppositories"
-
Not a great night of sleep and a 13-hour day ahead.
-
Hoping you get a few breaks or a lunch break during the day to regroup, John G.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Great news about last night's show! Kudos for Sydney! I hope her cold continues to diminish.
-
I slept well. Thatch and Stella were with me until a 3:00 bathroom break, when Stella abandoned us. Annabelle arrived around 4:00, began hacking up a hairball, and giot banished from the bed.
-
Annabelle now sleeps next to me on the top tier of the teacart. She seems quite happy.
-
I must make a basement this morning and then pick up a couple of packages. I had a situation this week where a score I ordered was supposedly delivered but I've never seen it. The US Postal Service for our zip code, 10024, is woefully pathetic.
-
George Santos is hoping Trump will pardon him. I hope he rots in prison.
-
DR George, thanks for the link to the article on The Head That Wouldn't Die. Maybe good things will happen with it. Grease began in Chicago.

This seems totally authorized, that the producers and label have just uploaded the whole album to YouTube. Not sure if anyone's linked this here before.

Still feeling ridiculously tired despite having had 9 good hours of sleep last night
-
Good morning, all.
-
Well I should ketchup on yesterday

Concert tonight, and then one day of rest before the Hell Week of Hell Weeks commences.
(It's the Hell Week of Hell Weeks because of morning shows on Thursday and Friday, resulting in nine - count 'em - round trips from Danbury to Norwalk, two of them at ungodly early morning hours. So, two shows each on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.)
-
Oh man, what a fraught situation (remember situations?) with the leading lady. I'm so glad last night was great, and maybe with proper rest all day today she'll be coming out of this sooner and better than expected.
-
Vixmom, what ever happened with the HHW notes not updating on the phone? (I think it was the phone.) Did that get resolved?

Yesterday I went to work, then to church to set up for Sunday came home and made dinner and then fell asleep
-
I’m totally exhausted

Jane, yes, I know to take my thyroid meds on an empty stomach, so if I wake up in the middle of the night I’ll often take them then so I can eat and drink before work

Is anyone else here watching “ “The Last of Us” or “Handmaid’s Tale”?
We are watching "The Last of Us". We were a bit disappointed in the first episode of season two. We are waiting until we are more alert before watching the 2nd episode which has a much higher rating.
-
It's too warm in this apartment at the moment.
-
I do not care for Manhattan clam chowder.
-
The best New England clam chowder was at the Red Lion Inn (not the chain) in Stockbridge, MA. We had a perfect stay there when the autumn colors were at the peak of their brilliance.
-
Clam chowder! I don't care if it's Manhattan or New England, just dish it ot and let me at it. When I worked at Goodspeed on, I think, The Chocolate Soldier, once we were in prevews, the musical director took the music team to the absolute best seafood place I've ever been to. I cannot remember after 30+ years where it was - on the coast between New Haven and New London - or its name, but there I had the best New England clam chowder I've ever tasted: thick, creamy, the stuff dreams are made of.
-
From DR Singdaw:
The farm-to-table restaurant was outstanding. Great setting, nice little touches and flourishes, great service, great food, great.live music. Restauranting done the right way.
It sounds lovely.
-
DR George, easy travels this morning, even more so for the director.
-
DR George, easy travels this morning.
Ditto! Hope getting to rehearsal goes OK.
-
From Bruce:
I've been told my any number of Group Rep members that they think this is the best production the theater has ever done.
Wow, fantastic compliments.
-
From Bruce:
And we got the final news that we'll be doing the show I've been mentoring for the past two years either in mid-January or very early February. We'll go into rehearsal in early November so we allow plenty of time for the holidays. It's a really interesting two-act play with music - twelve songs, I think - it's very funny but its themes have a serious undertone.
Congrats!

Topic of the Day: I'm not a fan of clam chowder, or clams in general. :P
-
I like clams, and have even been known to drop a couple when playing a show. <rimshot!> Thank you.
BUT SERIOUSLY, FOLKS...
I don't know why I don't think to have it very often, but yes to clam chowder. New England would be the standard, but I finally got around to trying Manhattan a few years ago. And maybe that was a particularly good one, but it was wonderful, too.
And while I'm thinking about it - it's been a long time since I've had steamed clams, but a good bucket of steamers can be a wonderful thing.

I love The Red Lion. Used to eat there a lot. It was always a treat.
-
A bucket of steamers is paradise. Linguine with white or red clam sauce is heaven-sent bliss. Clam chowder of any sort is always welcome.

I remember on the first season of SNL, there was a sketch of a TV show called Bad clams. Every week they would feed a guest bad clams and watch the reaction. That week, it was Lucille Ball(it was either Gilda or Laraine). She ate the bad clams snd started her classic Lucy wailing. It was quite funny.

We had a nice chat with Craig today followed by a trip to the market.

Slow day of voting. So slow I get a dinner break
-
Wow.
-
I had to look up 8647, and lol the first thing that comes up is a Newsmax story saying “Left using 8647 to incite violence.”
Any symbol or group people try to rally around is going to quickly be branded as a terrorist threat.

-
DR Jrand we took your advice and got a new tv for our guest room. On top of thinking about getting it before the prices go up, we are hoping if we watch tv in there we might not fall asleep.
-
This waking up at 1:30 has gone on long enough.
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of good sleep.
-
Woke up at one, had food soon thereafter and been relaxing ever since then dozed off.
-
Showering now.

Good afternoon.
-
I was at Disneyland all last week.
-
We waited until after spring break in March to go. Also, it was my daughter's birthday.
-
Did you know California has spring break in April?
-
I didn't.
-
But I do now.

I just checked with my daughter, and she and I both think we got exposed to some virus.

Lots of hockey and basketball watching today.
-
Enjoy your new TV DR JANE!
Thanks. Darn, Keith couldn't hook up my direct sound system into my hearing aids so we won't be watching it tonight. I don't think it really matters where we watch. I'm so sleeping it will be a difficult battle to stay awake until bedtime.

-
I'm fading.
-
Falling asleep while try to watch Succession.
-
So I think I need to call it a night.
-
Good night, all.
-
I had a bucket list item at Disneyland.
-
After waking up at 3 a.m. and doing Disneyland for 14 hours and walking over 30,000 steps, I was exhausted.
-
So, of course, on the very last ride of the night, I was the Rebel Spy on Star Tours.
-
It was a most flattering photo, I tell you.
-
And I fell asleep again.
-
I don’t know what’s going on
-
Did you know California has spring break in April?
O yuck

I just checked with my daughter, and she and I both think we got exposed to some virus.
I’m sorry

It was a most flattering photo, I tell you.

I have to give a temple talk at both services tomorrow
-
I hope I can manage

I have also been looking forward to seeing Skip’s concert tomorrow

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/cybersecurity/articles/apple-issues-warning-iphone-users-134410840.html
That's somewhat alarming!
It’s more marketing than anything else. Chrome hasn’t changed it’s just using cookies for tracking like websites have done for ages, and Apple is endorsing their own safari which is using a less invasive new method, which is fine, but the headline is alarmist. Of course Apple is endorsing the browser they developed.
-
Wow. 86 as in toss out, and the 47th. I had no idea about the other meaning of 8647.
I doubt there is another meaning. Newsmax is a right wing mouthpiece of the administration.
-
TOD: New England clam chowder, for sure. The best one I've had was at Neptune Oyster House in the North End of Boston. So clammy! Sometimes you get a nice creamy potato soup, which is fine, but clams and potatoes and cream are better.
-
Six hours of singing in back to back rehearsals was enough for me today. I get tired just reading about DR ChasSmith's upcoming week.
-
Earlier this week we saw Tommy at our 1970s film class. The instructor apologized afterwards.
-
He said he had to stop trusting himself to a point. If he saw a movie at 23 and really liked it, he probably would now. But at 15 or 16, isn't everyone an idiot? Why is a 65-year-old guy taking advice from a 15-year-old idiot?
-
I probably enjoyed it more than anyone else in the class, but yes, it was flawed, and not as good as the other films we've seen so far.
-
Next week is Three Days of the Condor, which I saw for the first time about a year ago.
-
In a week we start staging rehearsals for Otello.
-
Page FIVE???

-
Is the new normal five?

Has George gone on vacation?

Or has he gone the way of all flesh?

Is George the new page five?

Show was good - cast had to notch up the joy and fun factor for act two and therefore got all the laughs in act two. Act one was fine, but lacking a little joy and fun.
-
Sydney did great again. Hoping she feels a lot better by the matinee.
-
Ordered some dessert. Only had Taco Bell nachos earlier.
-
A Pizzookie.
-
From BJ's.
-
Guess I'll start the notes now until dessert arrives.
-
Maybe I'll even be done with the notes by the time it arrives.
-
We shall see.
-
We're close, I think.
-
Close to what?
-
Close to a new page.
-
Closer than ever.
-
See?
-
Now, get me off this damn page pronto.
