Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the second 100 pages and welcomed February, and now it is time for you to post until the 100 February cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: STERLING!
-
And a very happy birthday to our very own radio show dj, Donald Feltham!

A Very Happy Birthday to Donald Feltham! :D
-
And speaking of The Threepenny Opera that I saw yesterday, it was very much a student production with several actors of limited experience and stage presence, but they deserve praise for putting it on at all...and it only cost $5, so I didn't mind supporting them for that small amount.

Happy birthday, Donald!
-
Good morning to all. I don’t know if I should complain but it’s 35 degrees Fahrenheit in south Florida as I write this. I haven’t experienced this temperature in over thirty years!
-
Happy B Day to Donald
-
Good morning, all!
-
The alarm rang at 5:45 and I decided to sleep in. I cuddled with the cats who came to sleep next to me or came for cuddles, and it was nice to be lazy for a while.
-
Now that I'm up, I plan to spend part of my day on my taxes while I ponder my next section of the ballet.
-
DR singdaw, I'm happy your wound finally stopped bleeding. Why didn't you head to the ER?
-
DR Jeanne, it's always nice to see you've been around. I think you should have sacked the painter; for a self-employed person he seems too inflexible. He needs to learn that the client - and not he - calls the shots, no matter how good his work might be.
-
Good morning DR ELMORE!
-
I hope DR singdaw gets into hot water today!
-
Good news from MM and continued writing vibes for MR BK.
-
This morning I discovered that DR Laura's avatar has disappeared.
-
I got a new cable box that is supposed to be 4K but the new remote that came with it will not work.
It says I may need to "Unpair" with a previous box.
But it's brand new!
-
Happy Birthday, Donald Feltham!
-
Good morning DR ELMORE!
Hello, DR Jrand75! It's nice to see you.
-
Jrand, congratulations on reaching millstone post #99,000!
-
Well I just read the instructions online.
Maybe I will try it again now.
-
Well it work for a bit.....we shall see if I can bring it back.
-
Good morning.
-
The only avatars I can see are JRand, Freddie, and Jane. Mine has disappeared. I looked in the profile part to re-add my picture, and there are no choices in the gallery. I know it will be fixed. We just need to be patient. I'm just glad this site is working.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Today we're putting together a little cabinet-and-shelves thing (pray for the baby), and I need to do some work on the pie-ano.
Exciting, no?
-
I just ate a toasted & buttered cinnamon raisin English muffin, and a banana.

More coffee!!

I just ate a toasted & buttered cinnamon raisin English muffin, and a banana.
That actually sounds very tasty!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
And others.

I hope DR singdaw gets into hot water today!
The jury is still out. :)
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR Donald!!!!
-
Well the new 4K streaming box is humming along.
Although I haven't yet watched anything in 4K.....but I shall fix that in a bit.
There are several 4K stations that I can try. Right now I am watching a replay of this morning's AO Men's Tennis Championship.
-
Of course when I thought I lost my phone charger this morning, I somehow unplugged the tv in the computer room.
So many wires and outlets for so many electronics.....I shall probably wait until tomorrow before I tackle that job.
-
Happy Sunday to one and all... and Happy Birthday to me! Yes, it's my birthday today and I am welcoming back Richard Skipper on the Broadway Radio Show. He'll be performing at Revolution Stage Company in Palm Springs on Feb 11th and again at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC on Feb 27th. Richard is a big Jerry Herman fan (and an expert on Hello, Dolly!) so I gave him the task of picking the best show tune from each of Jerry's musicals! Give it a listen...

I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep. Not enough. I'm not going to futz and finesse until I get home after supping. I ended up writing three or four pages for later in the book, just because stuff came to me and I didn't want to forget about it.

Some days life really sucks. Last night, I opened the new issue of Gramophone to read the obituary of my friend John Wallace, one of the great classical trumpet players. We met at Abbey Road studios in June 2001, when John McGlinn was recording Babes in Toyland. The last time I saw John was maybe around 2010 or so, when he was in New York for a Scottish event, and I was his date for something, I cannot now remember what. I think by then he was running the Scottish Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in Edinburgh.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wallace_(trumpeter)
Then, just now, I logged onto Facebook to see the obituary of my friend Paul Hollenbeck, father of my goddaughter Emily, and husband of my friend Pam, wgo died in 2018. Pam and I were grad assistants in the theater dept. while Paul was finishing his degree in architecture.

Good morning to all. I don’t know if I should complain but it’s 35 degrees Fahrenheit in south Florida as I write this. I haven’t experienced this temperature in over thirty years!
I remember going to Disney World with the kids. There was a long heat wave when we arrived. Fortunatley we did the water activities and Epcot Center before we went to Disney World. It was 25 degrees at Disney World and we had to buy sweatshirts.

Correct. Hack came back - they have to complete the updates on this board before all that can stop. You have NO idea how frustrating this is.

From DR John,
Variety says Melania will open in third place for the weekend with a projected $8.2 million debut.
:o
-
From John,
There was some drama tonight, but the regulars handled it easily.
I'm glad it was easily handled and that your temps are rising.
-
George, thanks for the congrats to Keith last night.

I hear you. And I’m sending hugs and wishes for peace.

I complained about Ann Pachett’s Run last night. Today there was a passage of pure, unmitigated joy that was totally brilliant. A young girl is given the chance to go running on a Harvard track, and she does so in a moment of exhilaration that made everything right in the world.

So sorry to hear about these, DR elmore. I never heard Mr. Wallace live, but I have several of his recordings both with Philip Jones and his own Wallace Collection.
-
I am so sorry DR ELMORE.
Mortality keeps wanting have its way with us.
-
So sorry for the return of the hackers.....may they have a long lingering timely demise.

Matinee and dinner vibes for MR BK.
-
I'm sorry to hear about your friends, Elmore.

The high was 84 in Phoenix today.

Sorry to learn of those deaths, Elmore.

Very good.
-
I just realized I forgot to mention Keith got Wordle in three.
-
Today we met some friends for lunch at an old-fashioned Supper Club. There aren't too many in the metro area - more in Wisconsin. But there is one about 15 minutes from us.
-
The food and service were excellent. I had beef medallions wrapped in bacon. With green beans and garlic mashed potatoes on the side.
-
And there were popovers, too.
-
Getting there was not great. We had snow overnight and some more today. The roads were pretty slippery.
-
But we made it there and back OK.
-
Water in the building is not piping hot, but it is warm enough to take a shower.
-
In case you were wondering. :)
-
Progress.
-
Condolences on your losses, DR elmore3003. :-X

Tomorrow the DH has to be in downtown Minneapolis at 7:00am for a rehearsal before playing for the opening services of the ARJE (Association of Reform Jewish Educators). I'm sure when they were planning their conference two years ago, they didn't imagine they'd be at ground zero of what's going on here.
-
Awww.... cute kitties!
-
I haven't been able to figure out photo hot linking. Glad that DR George and DR Jane can manage it.

'night
-
Back from matinee - sick leading man, leading lady went cartoony again - so I spoke to both, but the rest went very well.
-
Then dinner with the Pearls and Kay Cole at Little Toni's.
-
Now I must futz and finesse and write new pages.
-
Good night, friends.
-
And others.
-
The high was 84 in Phoenix today.
Nice.
-
It got into the upper 50s today, but it still feels cold.
-
Tomorrow’s high is expected to be 66.
-
I have to report for work at 6:50 tomorrow morning.
-
That’s ridiculously early.
-
So I need to get to bed early.
-
Fine with me as I am exhausted.
-
But we need to leave this page.
-
And we shall soon.
-
Time for a change.
-
In one …
-
Five!
-
Good night, all.
-
Page FIVE?
-
I futzed and finessed, and have written five new pages. Would like to do another five before bed, but I need a fifteen minute break before I continue. I'm still in a very dialogue heavy sequence - I'm sure when I futz and finesse this in the morning, I'll break up the dialogue with interior thoughts and some descriptive prose. But for now, I just want to get the dialogue down first.
-

Only one of my TVs is a 4K TV...the other two are not.

Also, I don't have a 4K player and I don't subscribe to any streaming service, so I've never seen 4K at home...yet.
