The TOD reminds me of something I tried a few days ago, just in case it could possibly be any good. After all, I love a good chili dog now and then.

Google "Steve & Ed's hot dog chili sauce". I was at the store, about to pick up my standard Hormel's chili with no beans (which I use for chili dogs and the occasional chili-onion-cheese omelet), and I saw this product on the next shelf. The illustration makes it look like there'll be "some" texture to the chili, and you certainly hope for some great flavors, regardless - but as soon as you open the can you can see it's just kind of pasty and will have hardly any solids.

And it sure doesn't. There's actually less texture than in Cincinnati chili, which this might make you think of but don't be misled. It's so mild and uninteresting a taste, I say forget it. And it's a real mess in the eating unless you carefully spoon on just enough for the length of the hot dog and bun. So, back to the Hormel's unless and until I find something better than that.

Quite delicious!

We had no sour cream in the house, so a little yogurt did the trick.

Well remember how my new 4K streaming box kept disconnecting.

Well I would have to unplug the box for 30 seconds the plug it back in.

Two nights ago, I decided to take the power cord out of the back of the box instead of getting down and taking it out of the surge protector.

AND as I pulled the power cable out of the box, I realized it was wrapped in celephane.......NO WONDER IT KEPT FAILING..... So I removed the cellophane and there have been NO failures since then.

AND as I pulled the power cable out of the box, I realized it was wrapped in celephane.......NO WONDER IT KEPT FAILING..... So I removed the cellophane and there have been NO failures since then.

LOL, I can see that you might have missed that.  Congrats on solving the frustrating problem.

That was good thinking!

I heard sirens a firetruck or something, but nothing ever showed....so maybe it was the weather warning siren.......

I used to really like the cottage cheese that came with crushed pineapple mixed in.  When I go through a dieting period, that would take the place of dessert really well as a substitute.

That was in a plastic tub, of course.

I liked the cottage cheese with pineapple in it better than when I added my own.

They mix it so much better!

Canned goods generally on hand:

Peas ( we don't like them frozen,  other veg are OK frozen or fresh)
Tuna ( light tuna in spring water)
Baked Beans
Black beans and kidney beans for chili making
Chopped tomatoes with jalapeños and onions likewise for chili  making
Tomato sauce and tomato paste likewise in case of chili need
Tomato soup
If theres a sale on I might buy a few cans of chunky beef soup for Vixdad, he likes 'em occasionally for lunch

This is one that I've liked.

Tune of "Applause"

What is it that we're clapping for?
Her flaws, her flaws
Nothing at all
Holds us in thrall
Like Betty's flaws

Her co-stars can share
Their note-perfect sounds
But can that compare
When we hear it:

That happy growl rolls over us
And if it's flat
That makes our night
Squeals of delight
Pulsate from right where we're at

'Cause
The legend's onstage (Can you hear her?)
And now all the rage (The sound of)
Her flaws! Her flaws! Her flaws!
