Well, you've read the notes, the notes were heavy, baby, and now it is time for you to post until the heavy cows come home.

And the word of the day is: CONCISE!

Topic of the Day: corn, chili, pie fillings and pizza sauce are what I can think of right now.

Good morning, friends.

And others.

The site is peppy right now.

Good morning.

John G wrote last night: "If Vixmom can have a school of typing, it makes sense for Freddie to have school for counting, right?"
As a member of the accounting community, I'd like to thank the Academy and John G for this honor. :)

I still can't read today's notes on this computer. Maybe I'll be able to read them on my phone.
-
The TOD reminds me of something I tried a few days ago, just in case it could possibly be any good. After all, I love a good chili dog now and then.
Google "Steve & Ed's hot dog chili sauce". I was at the store, about to pick up my standard Hormel's chili with no beans (which I use for chili dogs and the occasional chili-onion-cheese omelet), and I saw this product on the next shelf. The illustration makes it look like there'll be "some" texture to the chili, and you certainly hope for some great flavors, regardless - but as soon as you open the can you can see it's just kind of pasty and will have hardly any solids.
And it sure doesn't. There's actually less texture than in Cincinnati chili, which this might make you think of but don't be misled. It's so mild and uninteresting a taste, I say forget it. And it's a real mess in the eating unless you carefully spoon on just enough for the length of the hot dog and bun. So, back to the Hormel's unless and until I find something better than that.
-
Thanks to MR BK for answering my question yesterday - most interesting.
-
TOD: Corn and peas of course.
I buy Hormel chili with no beans and cook it with some vienna sausages now and then.
Pineapple and fruit cocktail.
-
I buy diced tomatoes with green pepper, garlic, celery to use in homemade chili.
And of course Progresso Soup and Campbell's Soup.
-
The no longer Prince Andrew has been arrested for sending trade secrets to Jeffrey Epstein.
-
On his birthday.
-
I buy diced tomatoes with green pepper, garlic, celery to use in homemade chili.
And of course Progresso Soup and Campbell's Soup.
Campbell's soup has been a source of much eating pleasure this winter!
-
I was able to access today's Notes on my phone, even though not on my Mac.
-
It feels like we should be getting to page 2 already.
-
Sooner rather than later.
-
How far away is it?
-
Just one post away?

PAGE TWO!

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
-
I will shortly be on my way to pick up two heavy boxes, after which I shall return.

Skyline Chili and usually a white bean (navy, cannelloni, etc.)

It was misty this morning, so voting was slow. The sun has got its hat on now, so the voters are coming out to play.
-
Inspired by the TOD and the posts, I just had a can of Campbell's Chili Mac - which (incredibly) I've never tried before.
Quite delicious!
We had no sour cream in the house, so a little yogurt did the trick.

"Me and My Girl" references are always welcome!

Looking for a YouTube, is "The sun has got his hat on" not from "Me and my Girl"?
-
If I can stretch out this search for that number, it might get us to page three?
-
Or maybe in honor of the two heavy boxes in today's notes
-
Maybe link some "But Alive" covers?

I am really surprised that no one's tried a parody called "Butt Alive!"

And, of course, because Doug does not listen when I tell him things, the orchestra charts were NOT included. He now needs to get those, which means another two weeks goes by.
-
Looking for a YouTube, is "The sun has got his hat on" not from "Me and my Girl"?
It is, but be careful with historic recordings. A word has since been changed (for the better) from the original.

Auction is pretty slow. In the mystery and sci-fi section.
-
I have to say that I have not seen one book in any kind of condition that would be acceptable to me.
-
Why are we still on page three?
-
Why is this auction still going on. I want to snooze.

I also had a small Caesar and some chicken pasta salad, too.

I received a message on MyChart today that I missed by post partum appointment this morning with a doctor I never heard of ;D
I was able to reply and get it straightened out.
-
Then I called to book my MRI appointment and was asked a ton of general questions. To what surgeries I have had I mentioned that I had my ovaries removed. Two question later she asked if I was pregnant ;D
-
Interesting that the actress who plays Caroline Kennedy on the Love Story miniseries about JFK, Jr. and Carolyn Bessette is Meryl Streep's daughter.
-
Also interesting that the actress who plays the lead, Marian, on the miniseries The Gilded Age is also Meryl Streep's daughter.
-
But not the same daughter, as the actresses go by different last names.
-
We just had to sort this out, because they seem so similar.

TOD: Tuna, anchovies and tomatoes for me.
-
I eat Bush's Black Beans all the time. I used to like Bush's baked beans with meetless hot dogs. I no longer eat either of those.
-
Sometimes I eat canned soup when I don't feel well. Not the soups I really like such as Campbell's Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Tomato. I would buy Andersen's Split Pea if I could find it.
-
I can't read the notes due to a security warning. It's interesting trying to figure out the topic of the day Jeopardy-style, but I can't quite do it.
Sometimes I think it is fun to try and figure out the topic of the day from reading the responses.

TOD:
Milk, sweetened condensed milk, chili, beans, crushed pineapple, tomatoes, tomato paste
I haven't made anything with canned milk or sweetened condensed milk in a long time. I used to like crushed pineapple in my cottage cheese, another item I no longer purchase.
-
I also used to buy canned pears and peaches.
-
TOD: Tuna, anchovies and tomatoes for me.
I forgot about tuna. I haven't made tuna salad in ages.

I'd forgotten about tuna sandwiches!

I used to really like the cottage cheese that came with crushed pineapple mixed in. When I go through a dieting period, that would take the place of dessert really well as a substitute.
That was in a plastic tub, of course.

Well remember how my new 4K streaming box kept disconnecting.
Well I would have to unplug the box for 30 seconds the plug it back in.
Two nights ago, I decided to take the power cord out of the back of the box instead of getting down and taking it out of the surge protector.
AND as I pulled the power cable out of the box, I realized it was wrapped in celephane.......NO WONDER IT KEPT FAILING..... So I removed the cellophane and there have been NO failures since then.

Walking home last night, I passed a hot fudge sundae, a lemon cheesecake, and a slice of apple pie.
-
I thought to myself... the streets are strangely desserted tonight.
-
At Starbucks, I was behind a customer who ordered a venti, half-caf, ristretto shot, sugar-free vanilla, upside-down caramel macchiato, extra hot, no foam, light whip, with soy on the bottom and oat milk on the top, double-cupped, sleeve between the cups, three ice cubes only, with caramel drizzle crosshatch, but not touching the lid.
-
I decided to order a cup of water.
-
BK, whilst you were carrying the two heavy boxes, I hope you sang "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother."

I'm surprised (not really) that they haven't started calling it ALL ABOUT EVE - THE MUSICAL yet.

Canned goods generally on hand:
Peas ( we don't like them frozen, other veg are OK frozen or fresh)
Tuna ( light tuna in spring water)
Baked Beans
Black beans and kidney beans for chili making
Chopped tomatoes with jalapeños and onions likewise for chili making
Tomato sauce and tomato paste likewise in case of chili need
Tomato soup
If theres a sale on I might buy a few cans of chunky beef soup for Vixdad, he likes 'em occasionally for lunch

Tune of "Applause"
What is it that we're clapping for?
Her flaws, her flaws
Nothing at all
Holds us in thrall
Like Betty's flaws
Her co-stars can share
Their note-perfect sounds
But can that compare
When we hear it:
That happy growl rolls over us
And if it's flat
That makes our night
Squeals of delight
Pulsate from right where we're at
'Cause
The legend's onstage (Can you hear her?)
And now all the rage (The sound of)
Her flaws! Her flaws! Her flaws!

I recall the goodwill the show had generated with "The Lambeth Walk" near the end of Act 1 being so great that we came back ready to be cheering whatever opened Act 2.
