Good luck getting some sleep Dear Reader Laura.
And the word of the day is: SKOOKUM!
Two in a row (maybe this will make three) -- that's pretty mini, don't you think, DR td?I can go for more than two in a row, can you? ;)
He left River City the library building, but he left all the books to her.

Mornin' JR (and TD and Karen and Laura).
Tonight's viewing has been narrowed down to Bridge to Terabithia or Children Of Men.

You must be bk's understudy.I'm just as naturally blond as he is. . .
And who are you, bk Jr.?
Happy Birthday to DR jhvw...(and David)
Wasn't YOLANDA AND THE THIEF mentioned in a Warner chat for release soon?
One movie that would have been in my list but is definitely on the release list is UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE. Can't wait to see it again.
Miss Karen - Interesting that in the original complaint by your now disbarred original attorney, he referred to the defendant (me) several times as Skankem - another of his many spelling errors. You'd think he'd have a proofreader on staff.
(Never fear, as your attorney of record, I filed an amended complaint to change it to Skookem. Do you want me to send my bill for amending the complaint to you or should I send it directly to our past-due collection department as usual? No postal charge for delivery to myself as defendant, since I can just give it to myself.)
My naked ERCOLE has shipped.....
Miss Karen - Hmm...that wasn't me in the ballpark. Who were you with in the ballpark?
Well, I need to run an errand, but I shall be back.
Laters...
Larry - Absolutely, these one-acts have provoked divergent strong reaction, with general critical disagreement as to which work fabulously and which are terrible. As it happens, Skip's music has come off nicely in the reviews, but I'm worried about any vitriol (hyperbolic or otherwise) directed at ANY of the pieces on the evening on a site that's comprised of friends of ours. The writers on this evening are generally Skip's collaborators and their close freinds. Skip has to go there every performance, and work with these people every performance, so as a favor, please delay any negative comments about the show Skip is performing at every perfromance until performances are over.
I'm supposed to go to an outdoor wedding this afternoon. Even if it stops raining, it's been raining HARD for over 2 hours now. I have a feeling the park will be mud and glop. It will be interesting to see what they do
Having been in this situation before, I recommend wearing flats---no pointy heels or you will only succeed in aerating the soil!
Time to grab another cup of coffee and see if I can find out how much raing we've had so far...it's been a lot!
Wedding Scarecrows.
I have never seen such a thing - but I think I like it. ;D

Hopefully, I haven't broken your heart. ;D
Oh, I would add these, too!
A "Missouri Mule"...so classically un-PC!
And..."I won't hurt you, Mrs. Preston"!
I must say, I have a special little place in my heart for Junie Allyson.

Good news about your mom. Is that something they will have to remove? As far as today is concerned, there is no answer, but we think not.
Wonder if anybody toiled late night to make one of these for that special day? ;)

Don't work too hard, DR Ben. I was planning to work this weekend until my power cord died. I've decided that's a sign that I should just relax and take this time off.

MURDER IN THE BLUE ROOM (1944)
The Bollywood film TARZAN IN FAIRYLAND (1955)
The TV movie SUMMER GIRL starring Diane Franklin
I went to the bank and the post office and stopped at the Crystal Flash gasoline station where I saw an eight year old girl with long blonde hair wearing a tube top and a mini skirt and flip flops do an interpretative dance (or African fertility dance) in front of the Hostess Twinkie rack.
Her mother was yakking to the cashier about the new $20 Hoosier Lottery Ticket and didn't seem interest at all in her daughter displaying her terpsichorean talents.

Sadly, the AVENUE Q cast recording is also on sale - for $10 -half of what I sell it at the theatre!!
If anyone wants a Central Park tour, you should hit up DR Noel. He gives a brilliant tour. I keep wondering why he doesn't go get a license and start making some money off that. Might as well exploit your talents!! :-D

Shows how important editing really is!!!
From Edi
A good editor can make a film that sucks not suck as much. My best work always goes unnoticed!
TOD - Advance to the Rear
DR TCB how is your shoulder today?
Very clever. This one is my favoriteI can't remember which Closer episode it was, but Keith backed up so we could admire your editing. You obviously edited out as much as possible of a corpse, I think it was a corpse, twitching. ;D
Wedding Scarecrows.
I have never seen such a thing - but I think I like it. ;D
Hi Tom......... I sure wish some of your aches and things would get better for you. I know how uncomfortable back and shoulder and neck stuff can be. :(
DR TCB - your should can't be giving you that much pain, after all, you haven't called ME over to rub it . . . :'(
Nice to have MusicGuy back where he damn well belongs.
Even though you're gone Mr. Music I send them back to you. I'm making a tuna cassarole for dinner and listening to Showtime on Radio Wales.
Give Sugar a big pat from us.
Someone just mentioned "The Opposite Sex." I'm assuming you mean the June Allyson/Ann Miller/Joan Blondell/Dolores Gray "musical" version of "The Women...?" It was on TMC just the other night. I stayed up until 5:00 a.m. just to watch it.
I must say, I have a special little place in my heart for Junie Allyson.
Yeah, but if I called, would you answer?
Great news from td.
Wedding Scarecrows. How tacky! The dresses on the bridesmaids don't match!

Whilst I was cleaning, I was listening to The Symphonic LES MISERABLES. Whatever happened to Gary Morris? This guy? (http://www.garymorris.com/)
Just thought I'd check in quickly before I head out to get ready for "Bukowsical!" We have to report to this "meeting place" about an hour and 15 minutes before our show, since we don't have any great length of time at the theatre to get ready for we go on. The fact is, it's kind of pointless to get there THAT early, as most people circumvent the purpose by getting ready either before we meet or waiting until 5 minutes before curtain to wander around asking where their pants are...Break a leg with your fellow commandos!
Anyway - hope everyone is well, and I hope to see Jason and Jose later!
Break a leg with your fellow commandos!
Don't we get to read about the birthday dinner? But of course!
This guy? (http://www.garymorris.com/)
Re: last night's dinner at Cloud 9 -
I am listening to the soundtrack from a film I have not seen, "New York New York". The Title theme song sounds as if it will be have a life. But then what do I know?
Are we STILL on page nine?
Will we never get to page ten?
Are we STILL on page ten?
Hi DR Boo-key... glad you had fun at ACL. I watched the show with dear Jose when I was there a few months ago, and damn, it was still just as emotional for me in so many parts of the show!
I hope your stay in the big city continues to be good for you, and you have lots of adventures and fun!
Why thank you sir! Last night watching the show in the theater was definitely one of those great experiences - lots of goosebump moments, and seeing as I am here on this trip with two shows, ACL was the perfect Broadway show to see right now in my life.
Why thank you TD!
Your profile picture is pretty adorable, I'm not gonna lie.

What's with all the dark circles under my eyes? I should definitely have brought along my posse before all those photo shoots. Next time, I guess...
Etre ou pas etre, c'est le question.
Take Your God Damned T-Shirt!
That is the name of the opening number of my new musical!
DR Francois, je t'aime.
Umm.. I believe that's actually the title of the "11:00 number" - or maybe just the first act finale - of a DR's ever-evolving one-man show. ;)

OMG...brilliant!
And as DR Cason mentioned, he audited the Keyboard 3 chair at A Chorus Line earlier tonight. I just hope I didn't ruin the "magic" of the show for him with the antics going on in the pit. But he did get to see the fly strips we had to put in the pit to catch the fruit flys. :-\
Never ever! It was exactly the way to see the show after seeing it in the house last night.
Plus, I missed some of the antics on account of Miss Rodriguez... :P
Heather must be very fond of Ms. Rodriguez, too, as she was in the original company of SPRING AWAKENING...

Where ever we go
What ever we do
We're gonna enjoy it with weather.
We may not go far
But sure as a star
Where ever we go we'll have weather.
Where ever it snows
I know you go.
Where ever wind blows
I know YOU go.
No clouds, no storms, no rains,
And no thunder.
Asunder.
It's weather.

"Weather" or "Heather"?! ;)
Such a good boyfriend... He even admits to his show crushes!
Cruches? That's what happens when one breaks a leg, no?! ;)
...And during my break in the "One" sequence tonight, I noticed there's a nice article about the Dominican restaurants and food stands from 137th and Broadway on up. -Which is my hood! :) Needless to say, some of the favorites listed are already my favorites, but there are a few places I will now need to try out. And there was even a handy-dandy "translation" guide of some of the treats I've just been pointing to. ;)

She could SHAVE her arms though!

Well, DR Cason... If you want to see the show again from the pit, I'm sure we could time your exit from the pit just as she is heading up the stairs in her bathrobe after changing out of her finale costume. ;D
Although, I think to complete your ACL experience, I think your next step should be selling programs, t-shirts and CDs. ;)

I think swimmers "wax" ....
DR Jose...you may have just bought another night with Cason in the pit.
And I'll go for the merch at ACL after I've finished DR Jason's Avenue Q merchandise training camp...
DR CASON is being vewwy vewwy quiet.
Just remember....make change quickly, know your merchandise....and end every sale politely with:
"Take your God Damned T-Shirt!!!" ;D
He's smart and... knows better! :D
I told you I was going to be a success on the Great White Way!
DR Cason - Would you like a signed ACL program and/or window card too? *Although, Krysta is not pictured on the window cards. -And after checking the achorusline.com, the group picture needs to be updated too.
Oh, he had funds funds funds
'Til that baddie took the T-shirt awaaaay
(almost a Good Vibrations reference)
Although, I know the Wardrobe department is always looking for me people to help out with the quick changes into the Finale costumes, so.... ::)
Assuming the cast actually shows up at the theatre...
Keep on this track and I may never leave NYC.

And now for a sampling of some of the photos that DR Jose and I have taken at Virgin Records over the past few weeks...

Work tomorrow.....learning lines learning lines learning lines.....Place on the top of ones head....
Off book Monday night.....so says the schedule.
DR CASON is being vewwy vewwy quiet.
You had to go there, didn't you...
DRs Cason and Jose: You will both be relieved, I'm sure, to know that I only went .5 points over my daily limit - even with the cheesecake!! Huzzah!
The Enabler strikes again...
Tea shirt, anyone?!
You had to go there, didn't you...

Well, you're a Night owl, too!
Miss Karen - You'll be glad to know that your lawyer (me) had settled the case with the defendant (me). When Cason wins his inevitable Tony, the defendant gets to claim, I mean the defendant acknowledges, Cason as a long-lost relative, and you get artificial flowers and white chocolate at some point during your next visit to New York.
Cason or Jose, do you start rehearsals this week for 'Brain"?
Cason or Jose, do you start rehearsals this week for 'Brain"?
Cason or Jose, do you start rehearsals this week for 'Brain"?
What I wondered was whether or not it would be possible to take all the same original footage, and make two entirely different movies out of it through editing?
When are you going to NYC Karen?
I'm so sleepy, but I now want to see if you NYCers -- and DCelt -- get bk to Post 500 ..
zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Well, I guess I should get ready for bed. Especially since I'm playing tomorrow's matinee of ACL, and I still may possibly be heading down to Richmond for the night/day. We shall see...
Goodnight.
What I wondered was whether or not it would be possible to take all the same original footage, and make two entirely different movies out of it through editing?
Seeing how your shows on Monday are added performances, is it safe to assume that they may have tickets available? Perhaps I'll get my buttcheeks out of bed and come see your show...
Is Esther Williams Lorenzo Lamas' mother?? I had no idea!
Nope, Arlene Dahl is his mom.
Well, never mind, I see where my ex-lawyer beat me to the punch ...
I'm now watching "Soul Train," and, sadly, I can't tell if this was taped in the early 80's or last week.
2 pm indeed -- I'll get your ticket squared and away tomorrow.
Mystery Science Theatre 3000!
Some of hte 80s fashions are coming back!
How splendiforous of you!
Seeing the African-American man in the silver lame suit doing the high kicks gives me a slight indication that this was filmed in the early 80's. However, the gentleman break dancing in the 18th Century tunick confuses things a bit...
Hi, Dakota! I'm also a fan of this show. There are quite a few episodes on DVD and some box sets which you can find used on Amazon.
And now for a sampling of some of the photos that DR Jose and I have taken at Virgin Records over the past few weeks...
I don't even know how to begin explaining this one...it was all Jose's idea.

The Fantasticks is over and done with. Nice audience this evening, responsive to almost everything....strike was simple....
DR Jason---do you have more than one shirt? We have eliminated quite a few in the great purge of '07 and could send you some! :)
When I left, ten pages - I return to eighteen. Holy moley on rye. Cason don't forget the key situation - I won't rest easy till you have them.
Well, seeing as how the number of people there to see me will now be one, I can't wait until Monday!
Cason - Not sure we'll get there as of right now, but hoping - we bought tickets to Monday night just in case, so at least we're contributing to your grosses. (You do get a percentage of the gross, don't you? :) )
Mani Pedi sounds like the star of one of DR MBARNUM's movies.
Awww...how sad that I'm to be your special guest. I shall try to be a model audience member...I'll wear the glasses.
May I applaud and laugh louder than everyone else and point and shout, "OMIGOD, I KNOW HIM!" and hoot and holler during the curtain call and throw monkey cake at your feet? Perhaps I'll even wear my "I [Heart] Cason Murphy" t-shirt... I'll have to see if it's clean...it's seen a lot of use lately. If it's dirty, I can always wear my "Friend of Boo-Key" hoodie.
I pointed that out to her when I got home from the show last night.
...you can do whatever you'd like.
I think there is some massive Cason paraphrasing and statement interpretation going on here!
Can I throw t-shirts at people and throw them out of the theatre? (Only after the show has ended, of course...I would never eject audience members during your performance - that would be quite unseemly.)
Esther and Jason - together again for the first time...
Cason - I may have missed the discussion, but are you going on in a really major role on Monday? Will we have to kick ourselves if we're forced to miss it? (Obviously, we're looking forward to seeing you in Brain, which we wouldn't miss under penalty of bitch-slapping.)
DBF has used FinalCut Pro before. Are you familiar with that Edi?
We'll still try to make it, of course, since we have the tickets. (The only real problem right now is an all-afternoon work-through Skip has on Monday with the Last Starfighter choreographer, which may be exhausting.)
