Well, you've read the notes, the notes accentuated the positive and eliminated the negative, and now it is time for you to post until the positive cows come home.

I have always been fond of Six Flags here in Valencia, as well as Disney land, although I abhor standing in line for those long periods of time. I found the best way to accomplish disneyland in a calm manner is with a weekend stay and two day pass.

TOD:
The amusement park at Lake Ponchitrain. We lived in New Orleans for 2 years, when was 5-6. There was one of those scary rides where you're in a cart that travels on a track in the dark, and it looks like you are going to run into a spider's web, but then it opens at the last minute, and then a stack of barrels starts to topple over on you but the car jerks away in the nick of time. I'm sure most DR's have been on these spookhouse rides.

The whole time we lived in N.O., when we went to the lake, I always begged to go on that ride. BUT, I always kept my eyes closed the entire time! Just the noise of the hydraulics operating the barrels, and the sound effects and the jerking cart were scary enough!

On our last visit to the park, I rode the ride one last time, and this time I kept my eyes open! I realized that it wasn't nearly as scary with my eyes open---in fact it was more silly than anything---and I regretted all those times I kept my eyes closed because it all was funny to me.

Then we moved to Seattle. My blankie got packed up by mistake and I had to survive the whole trip without it. By the time I got to Seattle, I was "blankie free".

Yes, indeed, it was a summer of emotional growth!

About this casting business...my DH and I shared the opinion that it must be very different from film, because if you agree to work on a film, even for free or cheap, you never bail out of it unless there's a very serious reason or else you have such a good opportunity to work on a big feature that anyone in the business would sympathize and support your decision. You would be expected to find candidates to fill your crew position, and if you did this more than once, word would get around and if you were seen as a "bailer" you might start missing out on paying jobs because many times commercial directors want to do their own short films.

I can't believe how people have said they were on board and then bailed. You'd think they would take their committments more seriously up in NY!

And now the companion film listed on Amazon is no longer THE ODD COUPLE but now DAYS OF GLORY, which is pretty ironic since one of the things that sealed the fate of S&V was their anti-war stance.

We lived in Palos Verdes from when I was 3 until I was 8, and we went to Disneyland several times a year.  I had to wait until I was tall enough to ride the Matterhorn.  I loved "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "It's a Small World" and "The Haunted Mansion."  One of the things that scared me was the entrance into Tomorrow Land...I was convinced that the machine was actually shrinking the people!

What the world needs - a half-million dollar geetar!

LA TIMES (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-burst21aug21,0,4735841.story?coll=la-home-center)

Guitar collector Joe Ganzler holds Gladys, a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard that he bought for $175,000 from a dealer in 2002, before the most recent run-up in prices. Today, he believes he could get more than three times what he paid.
(Allen J. Schaben / LAT)

Quote
Amped about this ax

The Burst guitar, with its lush finish and rich sound, has gone from pawnshop castoff to $500,000 collectible. Its devotees are 'relentless.'

By Mike Anton, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
August 21, 2007

When Joe Ganzler found Gladys, it was love at first sight. She had a curvaceous body and graceful neck. When he held her in his arms and turned her on, she filled with electricity and purred.

"The belle of the ball," Ganzler said.

Ganzler, 51, has been married three times but has fallen for just one guitar. Gladys, as a former owner named it, is a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard with a sunburst finish. Ganzler keeps it in his Orange County garage, in a massive safe that looks as though it could withstand a bazooka attack.

For good reason. Only about 1,500 Bursts, as they are known, were made between 1958 and 1960. They were a commercial flop. But today the Burst is considered the Stradivarius of solid-body electric guitars. Its distinctive, syrupy sound, mythic back story and cherry-and-gold wood finish have made it the world's most sought-after ax.

Amid a bull market in collectible guitars propelled by baby boomer wealth and nostalgia, the price of Bursts has soared. One in mint condition with a desirable finish can fetch more than $500,000 -- 10 times as much as a decade ago.

"It's the Holy Grail of guitars," said Dan Yablonka, a Laguna Beach musician who fondly recalls the one he owned for a few weeks 30 years ago before flipping it for a nice profit. "They sound like they are being played by the finger of God."

Bet Ediaurus has one in her attic!

I currently live about 2 miles from Playland (http://www.ryeplayland.org/RidesAttactions/index.htm), I believe the only municipally-owned amusement park in the US.  Home of the famed Dragon Coaster.

I love an amusement park that ends in "land". Here, we had "Storyland". And I also worked on a movie called FUNLAND, with David Lander and William Windom.

Well, I guess Coney Island ends in "land", too!

And as for the TOD:

It is interesting, because I very quickly realized that our HHW family is definitely divided into two groups depending on birthdays....BDL, and PDL.  I am of the "before DisneyLand" generation, and so the only big deal (we thought) was Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park.  And believe me, it wasn't the Knott's that you see today; it was very small, basically the large family-style restaurant for chicken dinners, and a very small "old west street" where you could pan for gold.  I think there was one or two little "kiddie ride" things, like an old train or something.

Those in the "post DisneyLand" generation have many more amusement park things to remember and choose from.

But the fun thing was, I actually watched the process of all of the orange groves being removed and the land leveled and worked on for the Disney park.  But a fence went up all around the property, and for quite a while Walt D. kept the whole project very hush hush.  We had no idea what could possibly be planned that would use up that much space!

DR Matt H. will not be happy at this (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/21/technology/21disney.html?_r=1&th&emc=th&oref=slogin) news!

The news broke yesterday, so I was fully aware of it. I actually wasn't bothered by it. All I think it does is prolong the agony by making folks feel torn over what format to go with. Both formats offer superb visual and audio capabilities, so you can't make a decision based on best picture and sound; they're equal.

I suspect lots of people just won't make a choice at all. They'll stick with what they have which for most folks looks good enough. DVD does look good, but with the best HD transfers, the differences can be astonishing.

I'm not sure everyone has the same interpretation of the "rolling eyes" icon as I do, but this symbol --  ::) -- means the following to me: (from Wikipedia)

Eye-rolling
Rotating the eyes upward may have the following meanings.

It may indicate condescension, contempt, boredom, or exasperation. The gesture is often referred to as "rolling one's eyes to Heaven," as though wishing for a divine intervention for a rescue from boredom or frustration. It may also be accompanied by a gesture of throwing one's head backwards.

How it's used is most important.  If you're just perplexed about something in general, it is usually an impersonal symbol for exasperation.

If applied to a comment related to what someone else says, it's more personal and insulting, whether intended or not.  IMO, of course.

First amusement park I can remember was the local county fair. I would have ridden the merry-go-round and the ferris wheel and probably the Scrambler.

My favorite all-time ride (apart from roller coasters) is the Tilt-a-Whirl. If you can get your car into the right rhythm, it's a heck of a fun ride.

We had no amusement parks in Southern Oregon when I was growing up, so it wasn't until I went to Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland in 1977 that I experienced one. Don't recall the rides.

There is an amusement park in Portland. Washington Park. But it often gets raided by the police so I don't know what kind of rides they might have there.

When I was a little kid, we lived in Germany for about three years.  At the time, my dad was in the army, but my mom is originally from Germany.  Anyway, in school, we used to go on field trips to amusement parks, but I don't really remember much about them, except that they were very different from anything like Disneyland, which is really the only big amusement park that I've ever been to.  Except for Universal Studios in California, but that doesn't have as many amusement rides as Disneyland.

At Disneyland, I love Pirates of the Caribbean, the Matterhorn, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Space Mountain and several others that I can't remember.  I've never gone on a rollercoaster that's gone upside-down and as far as I know, none in Disneyland do.

It puts the "blue" in blu-ray!

Actually, the "porn industry" has favored HD-DVD, and adherents of that format point to the same situation when there was a VHS vs. Beta war. Porn went VHS...and so did the rest of the country.

TOD:

I was born PDL, using the distinction that MUSIC GUY so aptly made, and made a number of trips to Knott's Berry Farm in my childhood. It was THE place to go in those days. I adored the room that was on a slant, and am still totally intrigued by such wackiness. There was an alligator farm next door. No one's mentioned the alligator farm; does anyone else remember it?

Disneyland opened a few years later and my parents took me there when I was seven. I went a couple more times, the most NOTABLE BY FAR being in high school, when a bunch of us from Bluth Bros Theatre went there together. WHERE was BK??? He must not have been there with us, because he'd surely remember it if he was. Lulu was there. And we all danced down Main St, arm in arm, singing We're Off to See the Wizard. Was Walter Willison there? He might have been.

I also went to Pacific Ocean Park, which I found absolutely fascinating, and, prior to that, the old Santa Monica Pier, which isn't really an amusement park by today's standards, but did have rides and games and such.

I may have mentioned that, when I was ten, I turned the playhouse in my back yard into a "spook house" for a Halloween party--my own personal little amusement park--complete with dismembered "hands" and other treats.

Apparently, this form of insanity runs in the family because, many years later, I learned that my cousin's husband, one of the electricians on MURDER, SHE WROTE, set up a JAWS remake in their backyard pool. With a background like this, I hope I can be forgiven my idiosyncrasies!

There were two parks in Montreal, one which doesn't exist anymore.

La Ronde built for Expo 67. They had two "showcase" rides. La Spirale. Which moves slowly to the top and rotates for a view of Montreal and the the southshore. Nothing exciting really.

The other being the gyratron. The bigger pyramid was a slow ride through space (if I am remembering correctly) and the you go outside travel to a small pyramid and go down like a ferris wheel through a "volcano"

The other amusement park was Belmont Park that included side/freak shows. It had a wooden roller coaster.

It closed in 1983 after being opened for 60 years and was torn down to make way for a housing development.

I think this Expo was also where we saw "The Show Go Round"---a presentaiton with a revolving stage.                                                                           .

At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty. The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator", can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and "survival of the pack mentality" bred into the canines.

Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the alligator's snout, preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the alligator.

I seriously doubt that any HD format is going to be as monumentally influenced by the porn industry as VHS/Beta was. It's a totally different ball game now with porn readily available in both VHS and DVD formats. And I don't think the industry actually wants the crystal clarity of HD when the camera zeros in on butts and other private portions of anatomies, especially since lower resolution formats tend to hide the very blemishes that HD will accentuate.

I think in these here parts it is used to mean "I don't believe you really said/did that!". I do not feel any of the selectable smilies are intended to function as "personal" or insulting - and feel we should refrain from interpreting them as such

Just my opinion.

No! That post is the one exception -- I really, really meant love as in Webster's definition:

"a profoundly tender, passionate affection for a person of the opposite sex"  "beloved person, sweetheart" "amour" "to embrace and kiss as lovers" "the benevolent affection of God for His creatures" "a score of zero, nothing"

that's the kind of love I'm talking about ...

Mr Webster needs some diversity training - restricting love to "opposite sex" couples, indeed!

Noted.  A lot has to do with what is said when smilies are used.

However, I believe we should stick with what they mean in the internet universe and use them appropriately as as to cause no doubt whatsoever.

That, or be understanding when someone takes insult.  This will happen eventually, no matter the intent.

Actually, it's far less objectionable than "any other show" on TV....by miles and miles.

It's just that expectations were high, and the writers failed to deliver.

That said, they did pretty well the last half of last season.

I understand a gay couple is moving onto Wisteria Lane this year.   Let's hope they do something clever, non-stereotypical with their stories, and for gosh sake do more than the way they wasted Alfre Woodard.

I don't know what's going on out there, but Ventura Blvd. was jammed for an entire mile.  Ridiculous, but not as ridiculous as the fourteen year old idiot who was walking along the street listening to his iPod and trying to cause havoc, like putting one of those orange cones in front of someone's car and running down the street, and taking a trash bag and hurling it onto Ventura Blvd.  I was not heading in his direction, otherwise I would have pulled over and had a little conversation with him about his drug use, his stupidity, and a few other things.  And depending on what his reaction was, I would have held him and called the cops.  I do hope some nice citizen took him by the collar and told him a thing or three.

I agree completely. In a series with as many multiple storylines as this show has, there are always going to be some that fly and some that sink. The Nora storyline just scraped bottom for me the entire time it was running. (Others may have loved it and found the discomfort she gave Lynette funny; I didn't.)

I am VERY looking forward to the new gay couple on the block. I had forgotten, but in the first episode of season 3, when Edie was showing the house where Mary Alice died, one couple that looked at it was a gay couple.

Question for foodie DR JoseSPiano - or any other DRs:

What can you do with mustard powder?

A. Great for deviling eggs

B. Great as a dry-rub ingredient on any red meat

C. Make a mustard plaster for when you have congestion (you do remember plasters, don't you!)

I frequently change to the M5 bus at Broadway and 61st, and have been watching in amazement as a huge limestone apartment building has gone up.  This review - http://www.newyorker.com/arts/critics/skyline/2007/08/27/070827crsk_skyline_goldberger (http://www.newyorker.com/arts/critics/skyline/2007/08/27/070827crsk_skyline_goldberger) - contains some fascinating information about 15 Central Park West:

"the most financially successful apartment building in the history of New York. All the apartments were sold before the building was finished, at prices that started at more than two thousand dollars a square foot and were subsequently raised nineteen times. Demand was so extreme that brokers started to worry that the building was taking all the business away from other high-end buildings nearby. Someone I know who bought an apartment early on for about twelve million dollars was offered the chance to resell it for potentially more than sixteen million before ever moving in. (He didn’t bite.) The average three-bedroom, four-bath apartment went for more than ten million dollars, and the total selling price of the building was close to two billion. Among the buyers have been celebrities like Denzel Washington, Sting, Norman Lear, and Bob Costas, but, in truth, the more spectacular units went for prices that would make even a movie star blanch. The most expensive of all—a forty-five-million-dollar penthouse bought by the hedge-fund manager Daniel Loeb—was for a while the most expensive apartment ever sold in the city.

Back from the auditions and a loverly lunch with DRs Jose and Cason. Both Cason and I were asked to read for the role of "Genie," though I had to insist that I was more right for "Jasmine." One look at that picture would have sealed the deal, I think... ;)

And...apparently the casting director, who works for the group who casts such shows as THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MARY POPPINS, SPELLING BEE and LES MISERABLES, remembered me from my audition last summer for FINDING NEMO: THE MUSICAL. It's always nice to be remembered...especially by someone from Tara Rubin Casting!

After the auditions, the boys and I headed to Macy's, where we had a loverly lunch. Afterward, we headed to Garrett's Popcorn Shop, where we all enjoyed a treat of CaramelCrisp/Cheddar Corn Mix. YUM!

And now I have to head back into the City to go to the theatre...

I loathed Nora's behavior on DH.  I also loathed the actress playing Nora.
I loath Nora's daughter, too.  Wish they could've written her out when they wrote Nora's obit.
That said, Carol Burnett's appearance and Bree's son's storylines were the only really interesting parts of Season Two.
Season Three, however, is a whole new ball game, and for the most part, I enjoyed it:  least favorite storyline, however, was the Carlos/Edie relationship which I HOPE was roped and tied with the final image of Season Three. . .

CASTING NEWS (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,293885,00.html)

Quote
PENELOPE CRUZ TO THE 'NINES'

Now we know what Harvey Weinstein's secret trip to Barcelona was all about last week.

Weinstein was securing the participation of Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem to star in his mega-hit film version of the Broadway show "Nine." The movie musical will be directed by Rob Marshall, who brought Oscars and glory to Weinstein with "Chicago."

But Harvey is also now in the business of making some Oscar contenders for 2008-2009 — big time. He already has Nicole Kidman and Ralph Fiennes lined up for "The Readers." For "Nine," Marshall says he would like to also line up Sophia Loren and Marion Cotillard — a sure Oscar nominee this year for "La Vie En Rose." Catherine Zeta-Jones, who won an Oscar for "Chicago," is a natural for the film, too.

*And it seemed that every time I stepped on the subway platform, a train would just happen to pull in.  And each time I had to cross a street, the "Walk" sign would come on.  OH! And there was NO line at the post office either.  -Dontcha just love it when that happens!  :)

So, as for amusement parks...

I'm really not sure which was the first one I went to.  However, my parents did take us on family trips to both Disney World and Disneyland when we were kids, as well as Busch Gardens Williamsburg.  When we lived in Seattle, we would ride the small rides in the park by the Space Needle.  -And the Space Needle was also a ride as far my brothers and I were concerned - it was always "fun" to stand on the "seam" where the restaurant rotated.

Once I was in high school, Kings Dominion - later Paramount's Kings Dominion - was that park of choice - mainly because it was just an hour and a half from home.  I had a habit of going a lot - seven to ten times in one summer (and not buying a season pass!), then not going for a few years, but then cramming a bunch of visits in again another summer.  The Volcano rocks!  And the HyperSonic was cool too.

And there was that one visit to Universal Studios Florida when I was doing some work for Universal Studios Japan.  We were given "fast passes" since we were staff, so... I managed to ride all of the roller-coasters in the park in just over a half-hour since I didn't have to wait in line.  Needless to say, just because I could didn't mean I should have.  I remember skipping dinner that night since I was still so dizzy from all the loops, free-falls and twists and turns.

Illegal Presence in US Not a Crime, Court Says (http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewNation.asp?Page=/Nation/archive/200708/NAT20070821c.html)

While it is illegal to enter the country without the proper documents and permissions, it is not necessarily illegal to be in the country.

In its opinion, the court explained that Congress had implicitly created the distinction: "While Congress has criminalized the illegal entry into this country, it has not made the continued presence of an illegal alien in the United States a crime unless the illegal alien has previously been deported," said the opinion.

Well, no luck at TKTS - they had some tickets, but they were close to $90 -- so I forwent seeing the show tonight.

I see they have some tickets for next week that are the $40 tickets on the stage.  I think I'd much rather take that route (and no, not for Cheyenne Jackson's pecs) than pay the full price for a house seat.

Well, from the stage, you get a decent view of Cheyenne Jackson's other assets.

And, hey!  I mentioned his "arms", not his pecs.   Hmm... I guess you were "scarred" today in the waiting room.

It was a tempura batter, i believe.  Nice and light.
Now, the cook and I couldn't decide what type of dipping sauce to use; my suggestion was something in the mango or poppyseed/sweet and sour side. . .

DR Jose:

I know you don't know why, and you won't guess why, so I'll tell you why:

I'm geniuinely AMAZED you could pinpoint this!!!

After "Dukes of Hazzard" left the airwaves (i.e. was cancelled), folks speculated a lot about what it is that either Schneider or Wopat might do next.  At that time, it was my impression critics didn't think they'd amount to much.

I don't recall what Wopat's next gig was, but Schneider did a TV movie called "Dream House" in the 1981.  He was a country boy from Tennessee who followed his girl friend to New York City where she had turned into this really uppity type.

At any rate, he parked his camper on the street, etc.  He had a run-in with some locals who didn't want him helping folks out...ya see, Schneider had carpentry skills and he felt sorry for folks living in rundown buildings, so he set out to help them make the best of what they had.

And one of the things that he kept harping on when folks would tell him the building ought to be razed and not renovated was that the building had a good foundation and good woodworking....made of "Tennessee loblolly pine."

The more desperate the situation, the more adamant he was about the virtue of "Tennessee loblolly pine" and how well the building would turn out if he were given a chance.

All worked out well in the end.  And Schneider was "GOOD" in the role...he wasn't a "Duke" at all...he WAS this Southern boy with a talent who made a huge difference in the lives of the people in one building.

That's my "Tennessee loblolly pine" story about John Schneider.  I cannot hear his name without hearing him say "Tennessee loblolly pine."

DR Ron Pulliam - That TV movie has stuck in my mind for some reason or other.  Probably since John Schneider was really hot back then.  -I loved the shorter, non-Dukes boy hair cut.  And I think he was shirtless too in "Dream House".

And, yes, the phrase "Tennessee loblolly pine" is/was also quite memorable, mind-sticking.

And I believe that that movie was based on a true story too, and I've always wondered if that house is still standing in NYC.  DR edisaurus may have a come across a possible lead in that regard.

Re:  DH.  Well as BK sez, that's what makes horse racing.  Every time we pause on it for even a moment whilst channel surfing, it grates annoyingly, no matter who's on, Nora or not.   ;D  We paused on it sometime this year and Hatcher was doing some schtick with Mike (is that his name?) and DS Betsy said "Wasn't that just what they were doing two years ago, the last time we watched?"  I know you will take this in the spirit intended (as in, please don't be offended since none is intended), but I think it may just be more of a gay-centric show, sensibility- and appeal-wise--it just took a season or two to finally admit it to itself.

With a timeout for Vivaldi's ERCOLE.

Well...............I hadn't heard this opera....or opera buffa as one guy calls it on the "extras"....

Zachary Stains as nakey Hercules looks very GOOD, and sings most of his part well.  The staging just mostly has him walking around and swinging his cape....no jumping jacks or anything like that.

Two other singers....counter tenors....were my favorites.  Randall Scotting as Tesseo and Fillippo Mineccia as Telemone.

The staging was mostly walking around and making faces during the instrumental parts....but a lot of numbers ended with the singer coming way downstage while the curtain closed behind them, or a scrim dropped, and the set was changed.  It sounded several times like a herd of elephants and freight train were involved in the set changes.

AND the main actresses wore BIG boots and costumes that looked like the spandex suits from MAMMA MIA....so when they (or anyone) walked on the steps....again...it was elephants.

The men were all barefooted and wore short tunics....the ladies of the ensemble had one tele exposed....

All in all....an okay production....opera buffs may find it interesting, others beware....unless you really LOVE counter tenors and very fat ingenues (Laura Cherici).

He was giving the proper cue line for "Sing!," which our own dear SINGdaw had put as just a bell cue - in reference to DR Edisaurus' claim that she could never really sing (though she knew the lyrics to) the Lord Chancellor's Nightmare - which she and a college friend would try and quote to see who was less drunk to drive.

Shame on you Mike.

I remember the alligator fram by Knott's Berry Farm.  As I remember, it was very hot when we were there and most of the alligators just layed there.  I do remember the cobras there, as well.

I loved Pacific Ocean Park, but I was upset that I never got to ride in the skyride which were glass balls and went over the water..

So.... There was this nice young gentleman who came in to the auditions today.  He put his music on the piano, and proceeded to tell me how his song went, and what kind of intro he wanted.  Well...  I knew the song.  And I had just played it for him last Friday at the Mary Poppins call.  As well as the Evita call the last Monday.  And the week before that too...

"Oh, I've played this for you before."
-Really?
"Yes."
-Really?
(Really.)

Note to actors: Be sure to actually look at your accompanist when you walk in the room, and not just where the piano is.

-I'm sorry but I cut some of the piano notes off when I made the copy.
"Well, you'll be sure to correct that for the next pianist."
-Yes, I will.
"Oh, it's OK.  I know the song..."

In any case... I think I may have had a touch of 'tude in my voice when I asked her to correct her music.  However...

-So, if you're giving me incomplete music, are you expecting me to play it incompletely?
-And for anyone considering bringing in "The Beauty Is" to an audition, please try to get the actual pit piano/rehearsal part.  The vocal selections arrangement is horrible!  With the melody doubled in the accompaniment, it's actually harder to play than the real accompaniment especially in the opening "spiky" section.

I am getting the impression that many of these singers would do well to work with an accompanist a bit and learn how to come into an audition better prepared.

Well, sadly(?), I think it's a case of economics as it were.  A lot of actors don't work with someone before an audition since they can't afford to work with someone.

Although, today was sort of strange.  We had a bunch of people who came into the room, and the first words out of their mouths were, "This is my first audition."  And, alas, it showed.

Then there were the people who had decent "books", but then had no real idea what and how to sing.  However, at least they had the repertoire.

And then there were the people who had obviously just come out of a college program, but seemed to have absolutely no idea what to do at an audition.  It's cases like that where I just have to wonder about the program they went through, and/or what kind of student they were.

Oh... And then there are the people who bring in a good "book", and then when asked if they could sing something else, really don't know what else to sing - even though they brought in 20 other songs with them.  OR when I start looking through their book, "Oh, could we hear that?"  -I don't know that one... Or that one....  Well... :-\

And I believe that that movie was based on a true story too, and I've always wondered if that house is still standing in NYC.  DR edisaurus may have a come across a possible lead in that regard.

That sounds like a different dream house, unless it was a building in the village inhabited by a minimalist composer and his artist partner and played the same chord for years on end.

Did I follow those posts from memory correctly?
