I was only able to stick around for two-and-a-half hours of the Friday rehearsal, but clearly these are the Merman and Martin of our time, great fun and having a ball with each other. No wonder BK had them in to record for him again and again.

Personally i really really really hope that zach or jameka win pov. I will be quite disappointed if they don't. Apparently it was a close hoh (59 to 58 for zach over dani). And she was devastated. She was whining for the entire night.

Good morning, all! I slept late, which I needed, and I am going to finish this morning the Exit Music for "The Brain." The MD and I decided yesterday to use the "All About Men" dance break, but since we never finish the refrain with the band - DR Cason resumes the song - I need to put the rest of the number together. We think it will send the audience out in a happy mood, although I think with all the silliness and fun of everythng before, you'd be westcoastdrama to not be already in a happy mood.
Yesterday morning, at rehearsal, when we got to the finale of the show, I got a bit teary thinking about how wonderful this cast was and how much I will miss this show again when it's over in three more weeks.
After I finish the Exit Music, I will deal a bit with my editorial guidelines: tomorrow I have to finish them as promised, so I'll throw everything I've written so far together, see how it stands, and add the new materials I need to cover.
BK, I'm glad you enjoyed THE FANTASTICKS; did you see my goddaughter Charlotte's infatuation Mr Nick Spangler as Matt? He's a good guy, and I think he might be in one of the NYMF shows. I should ask him. I first saw THE FANTASTICKS, directed by Word Baker with a cast of off-Broadway replacements, a week before I entered college. It was the final summer production at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park on a cool early September night, and now - whenever I see the show and the imaginative sound of harp and piano begins - I turn 17 again and for two and a half hours the whole world lies before me.

I don't want them to win the game, but that's because I really do like Dick and Danielle. I think Jameka has used her religion to try to look good. She obviously made a "deal with the devil" to stay in the house. That didn't seem to bother her. Zach lies to everyone and alines with whoever is in power. That's actually a decent strategy on BB.
I prefer to see the people who were up front about what they are doing - even if it's lying - win the game rather than those who floated through the game. I think D and D were pretty up front and the fact they are final 4 really cracks me up. I think Zach and Jameka are floaters.
I also said it because I know how you hate Dick and Danielle and I must admit that sometimes I say things just to yank your chain ;)

I have to very quickly decide if I'm going to enroll in a pop art class that Paul is teaching for 4 Saturdays. I'll miss the last class because I'll be in New York, but he said the last class is a "do your own thing" class, so I could do that without being there.
Hmmmm It's a hands on thing which could be fun...on the other hand. At 8:30 AM he still hadn't decided how he was going to teach the class that starts at 10:00 AM. Maybe I'll wait and do it the next time he teaches it.

My favorite nutmeats are almonds and cashews. Recently, the grocery store where I shop had the Nature Valley nut and vogurt bars on sale, and I bought two boxes each of the almond and cashew bars. The cashews were fine, but the almonds were to die for. Sad to say, when I went back for more, they were sold out (replaced by peanut bars which are OK, too). The almond bars have not been restocked since.
Honestly, though, I can't think of any nuts I don't enjoy eating (make of that what you like, DR TCB)!

TOD elaboration:
Cashews - roasted & salted or candied to eat; also over ice cream with caramel topping (Culvers Frozen Custard has a to-die-for caramel cashew sundae)
Almonds - just to eat, in chicken dishes, in and over ice cream, in Hershey bars, in M&Ms
Pecans - my favorite nut for baking - in cookies, brownies, coffee cake, etc.; also as the coating for cheeseballs. And pecan waffles, which I just might have to make for breakfast tomorrow. Even when a recipe calls for chopped walnuts, I always substitute pecans. Whenever my sister and her husband drive back from Florida, they stop in Tifton, GA, and bring me fresh pecan halves - the best.
Their daughter, my DN Laura, lives in the town where Beer Nuts are made. We always go to the factory store on our way out of town.

Tonight is the premiere of John Barrowman's new series TORCHWOOD on BBC-America. I have set my DVR to record it since I'm not sure if I'll be home or not. It's based on the bisexual character he played on DOCTOR WHO, so it might be something unique to watch.

I think it's a film that, while my oh!-let's-watch-an-accident curiosity is piqued, I still can't bear to watch. 9/11, as it should, gets under my skin and outrages and upsets me. The fact that that ass bin laden is still out there ranting and the US has spent billions of dollars on a "war on terror (my ass)" and can't capture the man only adds to my anger and grief over so many cruel deaths here, DC and a field in Pennsylvania.

I forgot to mention that I finally did get to Thursday's AS THE WORLD TURNS episode. It did contain the gay storyline, and it was kind of entertaining. Luke found another gay student in one of his classes and they had a coffee date. All it this seen by Noah who, naturally, is jealous but denies his feelings. Meanwhile Noah's military father, all sputtering prejudice and proud of his son for moving in with a girl, continues to sicken.

"Captain Jack" (Barrowman) appeared in the last five eps of Series One of Doctor Who. He will be returning for the last three eps of Series Three (currently being broadcast on Sci-Fi). Torchwood, Series One, takes place in-between the two Doctor Who appearances.

A lady was doing the laundry in the basement of her home. Her son had left his football helmet there and she wanted to take it upstairs to his room.
She noticed the housedress she was wearing needed washed, so she took it off and threw it in the washer. Her hands were full with clothes that needed ironing, so sans dress and with the helmet on her head, she started up the stairs, only to meet the meter reader as he started down the stairs.
She stopped for a moment, flustered, only to hear the man say:
"I don't know what game you're playing, lady, but I hope your team wins."

Good morning. I had a terrible shock this morning when I found out that my good friend, and off and on date, George Ulrich (from South Beach) passed away this week. I am still dumbfounded and do not yet know the details.
George was one of the kindest, smartest, sweetest people you could ever meet. He loved vintage cars and telephones (he used to work for ATandT with my sister back in the 80s and could immediately tell you the make and model and year of any phone over the last 80 years was, just by sight) and old TV shows and movies. I hadn't spoken to him in a couple of months but I know he was very happy with his new boyfriend, last I had heard.
He was someone who always had a smile on his face and a positive outlook on life and I remember how thrilled he was when he got his dog Scruffy and how he coudn't wait to show him to me.
I am going to really miss George. :'(

I have seen dozens of productions of THE FANTASTICKS, and I have been in two productions; but nothing compares to seeing the production at the Sullivan Street Theatre in 1979 / 1980. A friend of mine from Tacoma, who was living in New York at the time, went to the show with me because one of his roommates was playing The Boy at the time. There was such a magic to that production that is so often missing in other productions I have seen.
Sadly, the young man playing The Boy, died a few years later; as so many talented young men did in the 1980s.

I started my day off with some lovely hate email from a Farmer fan (one assumes a Scientologist) who proclaims me in short order: disgusting, an idiot, a dumbass, and a jackass of the highest order. It's so nice to know one's writing is reaching an audience. ;D

I got an interesting Gardiner-conducted movie to review a few weeks ago: it's called England, My England and is kind of a Pirandello-esque biography of Purcell, juxtaposed with scenes of actors putting on a play about Purcell. Really glorious music, as you may imagine.

Good morning. I had a terrible shock this morning when I found out that my good friend, and off and on date, George Ulrich (from South Beach) passed away this week. I am still dumbfounded and do not yet know the details.
George was one of the kindest, smartest, sweetest people you could ever meet. He loved vintage cars and telephones (he used to work for ATandT with my sister back in the 80s and could immediately tell you the make and model and year of any phone over the last 80 years was, just by sight) and old TV shows and movies. I hadn't spoken to him in a couple of months but I know he was very happy with his new boyfriend, last I had heard.
He was someone who always had a smile on his face and a positive outlook on life and I remember how thrilled he was when he got his dog Scruffy and how he coudn't wait to show him to me.
I am going to really miss George. :'(

John Eliot Gardiner is also the conductor on the BBC production of THE BEGGAR'S OPERA starring Roger Daltry. It's one of my favorite DVDs with a great cast.

Well, that was painless. Relatively. ;)
We had 45 people auditioning for grad school programs this morning. There were about 15 colleges and universities in a attendance. Sadly, I believe there were a few people this morning who may have ended up not getting a "callback' or interview this afternoon.
-I mean... You're auditioning for graduate school. You're auditioning for possible scholarship money... So.... Why they hell would you come into this morning's audition so amazingly and appallingly unprepared?!?!?!?
After my initial briefing, I ran a group warm-up, and then went ahead and took a sneak-peak at the music they were singing for their auditions. I was able to check tempos ahead of time, and we ran the first couple of measures of each song. Well, more than one person came up to the piano, asked me to play their intro, then commented, "Could you play that again? That's the first time I've heard that." WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? And, of course, it sounded like it was the first time they had even practiced with an accompanist. Some people didn't realize their cuts were wrong, bad or awkward. Others did not realize that their music was in the wrong key - that it was not in the same key as the cast recording. And others were obviously to emulate a certain rendition of the song that had no relation to the music they put in front of me. -Or all of the above.
Not only do I question the students who came in unprepared, but I also have to question the faculty member(s) who advised and coached them. And signed their forms! It's something that always makes me mad - STOP wasting your student's money! Don't "make" them pay registration fees, buy plane tickets and pay for hotel rooms unless they're going to have a positive experience. Not only are you doing a disservice to your students, but you're also doing a disservice to your school and your program.

DR Jose, I am in complete agreement with you. I've seen high school and community theatre directed by people who have no theatrical skills, and I've been stressing the need for years that teachers know some craft to pass on to their students. It's bad enough in high chools but it's worse in college theatre and music programs when the faculty have no conception of or connection to the professional world.

Tonight is the premiere of John Barrowman's new series TORCHWOOD on BBC-America. I have set my DVR to record it since I'm not sure if I'll be home or not. It's based on the bisexual character he played on DOCTOR WHO, so it might be something unique to watch.
I have seen it already. I like his character, Captain Jack Harkness.

I forgot to mention that I finally did get to Thursday's AS THE WORLD TURNS episode. It did contain the gay storyline, and it was kind of entertaining. Luke found another gay student in one of his classes and they had a coffee date. All it this seen by Noah who, naturally, is jealous but denies his feelings. Meanwhile Noah's military father, all sputtering prejudice and proud of his son for moving in with a girl, continues to sicken.
In someways this has been an interesting storyline and other times it has bothered me. I do recall those scenes MattH from Thursday.
I am glad they have some decent writers writing it and not some hack job.

Jose, I could not agree with you more on the last paragraph. DBF was involved for a couple of weeks helping go through portfolios for gradschool and there were a few that were so sad that it was not even funny. It is if their schools and advisors did not even address quality work to get into grad school.
Another acquaintance who is at a school in Illinois has echoed the same thing. This acquaintance also commented that many kids do not know how to project their voice so the audience can hear you and in some cases they cant even sing.
He blames reality television in some regards and shows like American Idol and sheer laziness.

I'm a litte disconcerted right now. A friend called to tell me she had heard a local lawyer who I work with quite a bit was killed in an auto accident last night. We both got on our computers and started checking and checking and can't find any mention of an accident in any of the surrounding states, so either it isn't true, it happened somewhere else or it hasn't been reported yet. So hot, so muggy and I walked way too much. There was a little flea market sale between Ninth and Tenth on 43rd, and Richie Rich was there selling - he does a Broadway cable show and I hadn't seen him in years. I picked up two items very cheaply - one, a signed piece of sheet music for A Place Called Home from A Christmas Carol, signed by Menken and Ahrens - that saves me having to ask Alan for a signed musical quote for our silent auction. And I got a window card for Platinum, the huge flop with Alexis Smith, which I'll have Bruce Vilanch (one of its book writers) sign and that will go into the silent auction, too.

Just jumped on-line for a second now that I'm back home. It's not as hot outside today as it has been, but it's no picnic either. Tomorrow promises to be a little cooler and with some rain which we could use.

While I was cooking and eating lunch, I did manage to watch the rest of MEET THE PARENTS which I had started last night. All of the really funny stuff came in the second half of the film, so I did laugh and I saw why I bought this in the first place. I hadn't watched this in probably five years.

Four NYMF shows have already sold out and have two performance extensions. While they're trumpeting this amazing fact, the do neglect to say that all four shows, I believe, are in ninety-nine seat venues that many not even have ninety-nine seats (plus NYMF withholds between ten and thirty tickets for each performance). So, it would follow that it's a little more difficult to sell out 199 seats, and, of course, there is no frenzy going on because of it.
I think both Starfighter and The Brain are selling decently and even better.

Here’s how I see it:
There’s a huge set of people who’d like to sing for a living. They’d like to open up their throats, to share their talents, to make music that pleases many an ear, to entertain on stage in a musical. I think this is a wonderful calling, a fine ambition.
Within this set, there’s a certain subset who want it all without doing the work. Singing often looks easy when you see it on TV, so naturally there’s dilettantes with the foolish notion that their voices will carry them to fame and fortune without putting in the real work and learning anything.
There’s also a large subset who understand that the performing profession takes a lot of hard work, training, preparation, education and exploration. It’s these people I hang out with, many of my closest friends started as hard-working students.
No doubt, DR Jose will encounter members of both subsets in Charlotte. So far, he’s only told us about the woefully under-prepared. He’ll play many more auditions before the weekend’s over.

I was lazy today and didn't do anything at all. I snoozed in my chair and watched some TV and that was about all.
I told myself that I it was ok because I worked so hard last weekend.
My only worry is that I smashed my big toe while moving my computer last week. I dropped the edge of the CPU on it. It made a cut in the bottom middle of my big toe and I didn't think much about it. Well at the moment, I thought a great deal about it because it HURT.
It thumped this week but again, I didn't think much of it.
Today I looked at it and it's all red. I cleaned it and put some triple antibiotic ointment on it. I hope I don't have to go to the doctor about it.

I confess that I was one of the ones who learned the hard way that sheet music may not be written in the key you expect it to be or even sound like you expect it to.
However, I will say I have a very good ear.
Many years ago, my music teacher and I were working on "Memory" from "Cats".
It was on her piano at one lesson so I didn't bother to take my copy out of my bag.
Well, she started to play it and I knew right away that something was different.
I told her so and she said, "No way!" so I pulled my copy out and when we compared the two, sure enough, it was a different key.

Dr Danise. Big toe vibes~~~~ I broke my big toe playing volleyball years ago. I had to walk with a cane for awhile. The Doctor suggested crutches, but please, a cane is much more stylish (I say as I sit in my old blue jeans and sweatshirt) If it still hurts on Monday, I say grab a cane and make the most if it.
I was actually written up in the small town gossip column about why I was walking with a cane...lol

Jose, it really is a shame that with so much at stake the students come in unprepared. Maybe the teachers are afraid of hurting their feelings by criticizing them, but how else are you going to learn except by having someone tell you?
Personally, I feel that too many people give false praise so as not to hurt feelings, but I don't really think that does anyone any favors.

The last time September 11th was on a Tuesday I was hosting my book clubs September lunch meeting. Less than half the people canceled, many wanted to come & I wanted them as well. It was good for all of us.

I just returned from an art show held by LACC Alumni Mike Cormier. It was a very fun and interesting event and I handed out flyers for our fundraiser in November to various people who were interested. My mother and I then went into the shops in the area and amused ourselves. I had a really good time and so did my mom.
On the way home I had Ice Cream :)

I often munch on toasted slivered almonds or plain walnuts. I prefer munching on cashews but they are more fattening than other nuts. They can also bother my allergies, as most nuts do including the toffee macadamia ones I’m currently eating, depending how they are prepared. I avoid coconuts for the same reason, toasted is ok, fresh not. Simply because they are a nuisance to eat, I don’t eat pistachios very often even though I enjoy them & they don’t bother my allergies.
While technically a Legume, my favorite peanuts come from the Peanut Shop in Williamsburg… http://www.thepeanutshop.com
I’m not keen on pecans & prefer not to have nuts in my ice cream.

Had a nice dinner with Juliana at the Carnegie Deli, a completely weird deli in which all the waiters seem to be Chinese. Go know. I had a good pastrami sandwich and a cup of chicken soup to help my itchy throat. We hashed out some stuff and all is well.

I went to a Duane Reade to get some stuff I needed - and am now fully stocked with Diet Coke, which I'd just run out of. Got some Ricola's and Mucinex for my throat and some Tums, should I need them.

I think I've actually put on a couple of pounds, which, to me, is absolutely insane. I haven't been overeating and I've been walking at least three miles every day. Go know.

I just have to relax for the rest of this evening, then try to get some sleep. I shut off the air, so it's already getting uncomfortably warm in here - but I know that's the prob - it's about eighty-five out with dead air, and then you come into a house that's about sixty degrees.

Back from dinner... :)
Each fall, the SETC staff arranges a couple tables at LaVecchia's Seafood Grille. It's a nice chance for everyone to get together and mingle, and have a very nice meal before the craziness of the weekend kicks in. In the past, I've not been able to attend the dinner since I usually come in Saturday night, so no time to dine. Well, since I was already here today...
I had a wonderful time, and a wonderful meal. Just to get the food selections out the way:
Appetizer: She Crab Soup
Entree: Petit Filet with Stuffed Shrimp accompanied by a glass of Ravenswood Zinfandel
Dessert: Chocolate Truffle Bombe with a Mocha Cappucino
All quite delicious, and the portion sizes were perfect. I'm full, but not stuffed. In any case...
While walking to the restaurant, I ran into two former college professors of mine... "Hi, Mom and Dad!" I had seen Liz a few months ago in Atlanta at the Spring Conference, but I hadn't seen Gary, her husband, in a couple of years. So we ended up sitting together at one of the tables, and we had a wonderful catching up. I had MD'd a few musicals for Gary while I was in and out of school, and when I moved back to Richmond, I first stayed with them for a few months while I was getting my housing lined up. Like I said, "Mom and Dad."
I also finally got thank Gary for all the "stuff" he taught me over the years just from being in the same room with him: how to talk to actor's, how to dissect a script, how to keep a level head during rehearsals, etc. And he thanked me for all the musical knowledge I provided him with. We actually both got a bit teary-eyed.
And as it turns out, they both came today just for some committee meetings, and are heading back up to Richmond tomorrow. -Where they might end up running into my parents at the grocery store now. ;) Again, a wonderful meal, but more importantly, a wonderful evening spent with some dear friends.

What?!??!
The streets of NYC are most certainly not deserted after 11:00 - or even after midnight for that matter. Heck, even the Hershey's Store and M&M's World are open until midnight, and the Virgin Megastore in Times Square stays open until 2:00am on the weekends.
Heck, just walking home at Mary Poppins is still quite the pedestrian obstacle course in midtown - and the show gets out at 10:45. And there are a whole slew of street vendors and artists who don't set up shop on the streets until after midnight. And that crazy good Halal Meat Food Cart on Sixth Ave and 50th(?), still has lines 20-30 people deep until they shut down at 3:00am.
-And then there's the whole East Village scene....
*And there's nothing like grabbing a fresh off the truck donut from one of those mobile carts just after they've set up shop around 4:30AM. :)

Exactly! Today's auditions were people auditions for Graduate School programs. And there were some decent schools out in the auditorium today, including Florida State University and both the New York and L.A. divisions of AMDA.
Unfortunately, I kind of expect some lack of preparedness when it comes to auditions in the "big room", but when you're auditioning for graduate schools, AND you get the chance to audition for 15-20 graduate school programs at one time, AND be considered this early in the application cycle, well... There is no excuse for you not to be prepared. None at all. And, again, it just makes me mad that some department heads and faculty sent their "product" out there in such a state of mediocrity. These are not students hoping to land a semi-singing chorus part in a summer-stock company. These are students who are hoping to further their education at another institution, and, hopefully, gain some scholarship money in the process too.
Yes, there still seems to be an abundance of coddling and ego-stroking going on in some programs, but when you come into an audition with a song "prepared", and your first words to me are, "I don't really sing that well, so could you play my melody with me,".... GET A CLUE!!!!!!!
And as for the "American Idol" affect, well... I actually use "AI" as an example of how critical one should be of oneself. Just put yourself in the place of Simon, Paula and Randy... Or even just remember how your react to the people with no talent who make it on the air... Be that critical with yourself. In any case...
There were a few standouts today, and, as always, they're the ones that make my job less of a job, and more of a joy.

I just did.
Yes, these were students hoping to further their education elsewhere, but if they come into the room as if they've either ignored their education or, in some cases, been subject to a bad one, well, there's really nothing else that can be done at this point and time.
And there were a few times when I could tell someone should have had the key of their song changed - higher or lower. But then I have to censor myself because I have no idea just how much my telling them just minutes before their audition that their song is in the wrong key for them is going to affect them for better or worse. I might end up hurting their feelings. I might end up stepping on some professorial toes. The last thing I want to do to anyone is confuse them. I want them to feel as comfortable and confident as they can be in such an innately uncomfortable situation. If that's what they prepared, then that's what they prepared. And in the bigger picture of things, if I help one, I have to help them all.

Here’s how I see it:
There’s a huge set of people who’d like to sing for a living. They’d like to open up their throats, to share their talents, to make music that pleases many an ear, to entertain on stage in a musical. I think this is a wonderful calling, a fine ambition.
Within this set, there’s a certain subset who want it all without doing the work. Singing often looks easy when you see it on TV, so naturally there’s dilettantes with the foolish notion that their voices will carry them to fame and fortune without putting in the real work and learning anything.
Again, not to beat a dead horse - but I guess I am...
All the people who auditioned today were either in the final year of their undergrad program or had finished their undergrad program this past spring/summer. After four years of school, if you still don't know that preparation is everything, well... What did you learn in college?

Jose, I hope you do address the concerns. It is sad to see such preparation. Granted, nervous energy may be one miss a note or two but still it should explain a breakdown in preparation.
There was a woman from Fargo, her name escapes me at the moment, some years ago who tried for the MET in New York and she commented that her mentor in MPLS really stressed preparation for the auditions both mentally and orally.

It is all part of this "instant star" mentality. When I started out as an actor, you were grateful and honored to be cast in the chorus or as the delivery boy who has two lines in the third act. You were paying your dues. You came prepared, you kept your mouth shut, and you did whatever you were asked.
Now days, everyone wants to start out as the lead. They don't want to prepare, they don't want to learn anything because they know everything, and God forbid, you should offer them a walk-on or a chorus role.

Jose - Maybe it's smee, but I find most of the numbered blocks in the 40's West of 9th pretty scary and deserted very late at night, and also Tenth in the upper 40's, especially the area around the playground (I forget the exact street). They seem to know I'm coming, because menacing people always seem to be hanging out on a stoop or two or selling a drug or two at those hours. Obviously, they've been harmless, because I'm telling the tale, but I've been scared nonetheless. :(
So I cab even for very short distances at that hour.

Just jumped on-line for a second now that I'm back home. It's not as hot outside today as it has been, but it's no picnic either. Tomorrow promises to be a little cooler and with some rain which we could use.
I loved(!) the outside temp today - mid-80s. But maybe that's because the hotel likes to keep the thermostats set around 64 degrees, and the theatre was quite "cool" too.

I've never been mugged in New York City, or ever felt that I was truly in danger. <knock wood> -However, down in D.C., well... :-\
I just remember when I came to NYC when I was in grade school with my cousin, and his aunt, who lived in Queens for years, gave us some advice which I still keep in my head: If you go out expecting trouble, you will more than likely attract it. Those "people in the shadows" will only react if they sense that you "want" some trouble. I'm not saying that I'm naive, and that I walk through the City with an open wallet in my hand, and a "Please Mug Me" sign on my back. I am careful, and I always with purpose.

Ran into DR Jose in Charlotte today... looks like I'll be getting my turn tomorrow to watch hundreds of auditions! I hope they're better than today's grad school auditions that Jose had to endure.

I had an interesting evening of viewing with my friends tonight. Wile they got the kids in bed and settled, I watched some of SUPERMAN RETURNS on HBO-HD.
I wasn't a big fan of the film, and I thought the regular DVD version was really awful - soft, smeared color. So I was eager to see what the HD version looked like since I didn't want to spring for the Blu-ray version since I didn't care for the movie that much to start with.
The HD version IS sharper; it would have to be. But it's still too dark, lacks adequate contrast, and just doesn't pop at all.

And I must apologize for not mentioning Shayne's accident, which I knew about yesterday, as he e-mailed me to say because of having to deal with financial car issues, he wouldn't be able to come to NY. The important thing is he came out of it fine.

At 8, WORLD TRADE CENTER came on Showtime-HD, and we watched that. It was an involving movie, but I didn't find it nearly as harrowing or as moving as UNITED 93.
It basically focuses one two Port Authority policemen who were trapped when the towers came down. Then there are lots of flashbacks to show us each man's family life. Was surprised to see Donna Murphy in a small part.
The HD version was beautiful. Of course, in the "present" scenes trapped under the rubble, all the dark and gloom isn't made any sharper in HD, but all the flashback stuff and the early morning scenes ebfore the planes hit were just stunning.

When it went off, we watched TORCHWOOD which was recorded while WTC was on. It was an entertaining beginning episode with some good actors in the regular roles. I don't know how many episodes of this have been filmed, but I'm going to continue watching.
