So...
Sometimes it looks like I'm browsing the forum for hours on end. That's actually not far from the truth, but I digress. But actually I just keep the site up in my browser cos even when I tell the login thingy too keep me logged in, just closing the browser or the tab immediately logs me out anyway.
DR FJL - so happy for you that you got to see South Pacific.
And the word of the day is: PIGNUS!
Although I can't understand why they'd feature bare sailor bums but not bare sailor torsos. :)

There were always a couple of bare torsos in the original SOUTH PACIFIC production; one of the bare torsos in London was Sean Connery's.
Good morning, all! I had a really wild panic attack this morning and couldn't get out of bed. I don't have them often, and I don't know the source for this one, but it was most peculiar. So, now I'm up and moving, showered and dressed, and ready to work.
On top of that I had very strange dreams: one involving my selling scripts for the Drama Book Shop out of a car glove compartment and being frustrated because the person I was working for had not added price tags in American currency for British scripts; I was traveling with this child named Mikey, and I had to buy him a hat at one point since it was raining (this part of the dream makes perfect sense now!).
I also dreamed that our lovely DR Laura, her husband, and a church tour of young adults were camped out in my apartment and there were people lying everywhere. No wonder I hada panic attack.
BK, I'm glad you enjoyed SWEENEY TODD since I detested it and think John Doyle is a fraud of the highest order. It might be fine in a bar or college basement for a $25 ticket, but for a director to make a Broadway debut with this piece of tripe staged for the $100 center section of the orchestra with no concerns for sightlines on the side sections where the ticket prices are the same is an insult.
So, back to work.
DR elmore - How was the rice pudding? Did it survive the trip up from SoHo?
That was basically my point - it didn't work in the Ahmanson, as I imagine it didn't work very well in a Broadway house. But, I have to believe that its initial accolades and buzz came from the fact that it was done in a very small, intimate theater, where, for some, it probably seemed fresh and exciting.
I have a tv question (maybe DR MattH will know).
I see NBC is showing MONK and PSYCH on sunday night. I am curious are these the pilots for these shows?
I did not get any mail from the USPS yesterday, but late in the day, I did get a UPS delivery from Paramount: the horror film CLOVERFIELD which was a surprise hit earlier in the year. I don't normally like modern horror films as they seem just too gross, but this got respectful reviews, and it's less than 90 minutes, so I'll be curious to watch it tonight.
I found CLOVERFIELD interesting. There's one unintentional laugh because the screenwriter wasn't aware or didn't care about cell phone reception in Manhattan, but I found a lot of it quite fascinating.
It was quite tasty, DR Jose! Thanks for such a lovely gift.
And the word of the day is: PIGNUS!BK!!! Are you trying to pawn something smutty on us?
TV Reminder:
TORCHWOOD!!![/glow]
Are we STILL on page three? Not even.
Oh, and I'm up. I"m so glad I don't have to actually do much besides sitting and watching the choreographer do his thing.Hehehe. ;)
Are we STILL on page three? No, not when you posted this. We were still on page 2 then. ;)

I was at the police station.
....and this is what you saw? ;D
Richard Berent was here for two hours, then his sub, who's very good, came and is doing the rest of the day.
Today while on my walk, I found a cell phone on the sidewalk.

Eager to hear from those who watched GHOST WHISPERER last night since I didn't have a chance to see it. I'll have to catch a rerun this summer.
What did you do with it?
I couldn't get the camera past the metal detector.
I am tempted to program in a contact on my cell phone that just says "HOME"
It wasn't me, DR Jose, and neither one of my kids was anywhere near!
Where is evrybody? You would think it was the weekend!
I am curious (yellow)... Are any of the non-Californians thinking of heading to Anaheim for the coming production of THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X?
I am seeing this new Sweeney Todd in a couple of weeks when it comes to Phoenix. I don't think I will like this gimmick of actors playing the instruments.
In case you can't tell what it is....
Before I saw the picture, Cillaliz, I thought you were going to say you got a DOG!
Jane - the Kimmel geneology is convoluted, I fear. From what I understand, Kimmel is not the real name - I believe the name was appropriated on my father's side at some point, by my father's father's father, I think. The original Kimmel name was, I'm told, then name I gave to the grandparents in the Kritzer books.
DR Dakota-Keith's Lassner's arrived in America from Eastern Europe, the Krakow area of Poland. His great grandmother came from Moldavia, which is now Ostrava in the Czech Republic, & married a Lassner.
TCB, what a wonderful story. Be sure to let me know when the book is published.
DR Cilla, the lions look great & fit your house beautifully.
I love the new additions to your home, Cillaliz, and I ain't lion.
Is this a slow news day here at haineshisway.com?Apparently. Personally, I was doing some Spring cleaning.
Hi, Mr. Bruce! :D
I have sometimes wondered what I'd look like today if I had the hair I had when I was in my twenties. There was a wig backstage, so I put it on. I did not like what I saw and am therefore happy I look like what I look like. You look more distinguished now.
singing, have you read any of Kenneth Burke?Nope. :(
