Well, you've read the notes, the notes were filled with metaphors they didn't even know about, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're looking for some mootaphors.

Where in tarnation IS everyone?

I gotta tell you.

I finally did find a comment from someone who actually has seen both the MGM and the Criterion Thief of Bagdad and this comment reflects what I've seen of the screencaps of the Criterion, which looks sharp but with lifeless and brownish color.
"'Thanks very much for the review of Criterion's "Thief of Bagdad." I, too, own the MGM DVD, and compared to your screen captures of the Criterion, the MGM looks much more vibrant, like Technicolor looked in the forties, in the way of (albeit 1939) Wizard of Oz or Gone with the Wind. The Criterion in your captures looks much more muted, almost as if it was a colorized black and white image. In the MGM, the scene were June Duprez looks into the pool is a lovely shot, with fresh colors in her face and a vibrant lush background. The look of the Criterion disappoints me as looking rather drab."

I spy dear reader Laura.

Did anyone congratulate dear reader MattH on passing 30,000 postings?

This day has been weird since midnight, so I'm finding it hard to say good morning today. I slept poorly, and as a result, stayed in bed 90 minutes longer than I wished. When I opened the computer, it was dead. I turned off the modem for a couple of minutes and things seemed to load in okay but I lost all my bookmarks, which I hate.
While this was going on, I drew my bath water, which was dark brown this morning. Not a good omen. I emptied the tub and refilled it. Still dark brown. Of course, at 8 am there's no one in my landlord's office to deal with the problem, and I cannot tell if the water in the kitchen is equally tainted - I'm sure it is - but I boiled my coffee water for 30 minutes before using it.
So, I'm feeling unwashed, disorganized, angry about the computer's bookmarks, and unsure of what to do next. I have a date with goddaughter Charlotte at 4 this afternoon to see a movie, and I need to go to Toyland for a bit. So, this day can only look up, I hope, or the omens are really crap.
-
Thursday morning greetings! I'm glad to be back at my desk today after being away all day yesterday. I'm especially glad to be working only half a day today, due to a (non-emergency) doctor's appointment this afternoon.
Better day vibes to DR Elmore!

Adding insult to injury, I'm suddenly getting a lot of unsolicited phone calls lately. Just now it was a request for breast cancer funding. Has something happened I should be aware of?

There seems to be a surge in unsolicited phone fundraising. I'm on the Do Not Call list but it seems to do little good. I don't have a "relationship" with any of the nonprofit orgs or the for profit business that have suddenly started calling and when you mention the Do Not Call list some of them just laugh as you hang up. Caller ID is my friend and I now ignore all calls if I don't know the number or name.

Whassup, Ben?

I also like Robert Mitchum films. He was one of the "greats". OUT OF THE PAST, CROSSFIRE, THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER, THE ENEMY BELOW, CAPE FEAR, THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE and FAREWELL, MY LOVELY are my favorites.
I also enjoyed MAN WITH THE GUN.
Many years ago, I handled publicity for Mitchum's actor son, Chris.

I'm very fond of Robert Mitchum, and two performances many folks never mention are "What A Way to Go" in which he's terrific, and "Ryan's Daughter", a much underrated, understated performance.

I hate the calls that let it go through your message and leave a dial tone and hang-up on your machine.

I must say i was quite surprised by the winner. I thought her beauty shot (covergirl) was the best by far (what kind of photographer says he's done and then has horrible shots of the other two girls who are stunning???). I thought her runway was great. But i really thought the #2 girl was the best and was going to win. But i am still happy with the result (usually i cannot stand the winner!.

About bk's comment concerning owning the MGM THE THIEF OF BAGDAD. One simply can't own everything, and I had a DVD-R copy of it recorded years ago from TCM for reference (naturally, I can't use it in the review to compare image quality since it's not an official release). Why wouldn't I replace it with the MGM when it became available? Because despite its classic status, it's never been a film I want to revisit regularly. Sue me.
Now, if someone wants to send me the MGM copy, I'll be glad to sync them up and do a frame-by-frame comparison, but unless someone's going to foot the bill to buy every version of a film available so I can do comparisons in reviews, I think it's an unfair and unjustified criticism.
-
How clever of Ryan Seacrest last night to name David Archuleta first as being in the finals attempting to disguise the fact that David Cook was likely the top vote getter and that second place was likely a close call between David Archuleta and Syesha.
No need to try to make it seem as if David Cook is the underdog. Unless he stumbles mightily in the finals, I think he's got it locked up.

When I got the press release from Paramount and saw what the list price was for the set, I just about fainted. I wondered who on earth would pay that kind of money for the show, no matter how much they might want it.
I haven't bouoght TORCHWOOD yet because I thought the price was too high for 13 episodes.

Well I had the MGM Thief of Bagdad and my review of the new Criterion Thief of Bagdad has been up for a few days at DVDTalk, so I'll weigh in, especially since I discuss this in my review. MGM's did have a better red palette, but the print was in noticeably worse shape than the Criterion. The Criterion print is virtually scratch free (in fact, I only counted two on the four times I made it through the feature to get the commentaries and music/effects track). The Criterion does seem to me to be just a tiny bit brown, which detracts mostly from the reds. The blues look fantastic, the greens slightly less so. There's my 4 cents worth. :)

I cannot decide if the current DVD I'm reviewing, DAPHNE, (about Daphne DuMaurier's lesbian proclivities) is an earnest drama or some little known Christopher Guest parody. ;D

And MGM is pretty notorious about not doing much clean-up on films they release, so your comments, DR JMK, are not surprising.

I'll be interested to read your comments, Matt. :) And I have to say, the reds at times look OK--for instance notice them when you get to the all-seeing eye sequence. Maybe it's because the contrast is so much more extreme then, since it's in the dark, but that red looks relatively OK to me.

I thought the reds were very well deliniated. That turban Veidt wears in his opening moment is gorgeously saturated and textured on my screen.
-
My review of THIEF is a a day or two away, however. I haven't even finished disc one yet with all of disc two to go! I'm guessing it'll be Saturday morning before I can put it to bed.
-
See, this is what makes horse racing. I found the turban to be a little off (we're talking minutiae here, BTW, as I discuss in my review), which is what first alerted me to the red palette. The MGM turban is a much redder red, if that's at all clear. Compare the red of Veidt's turban to the glowing red of the all seeing eye sequence (when it's still in the statue), and I, anyway, see a noticeable difference.

I see a difference too, but I simply attributed it to different shades of red.
But some of the differences can also be attributed to different technologies (I'm using DLP/LED, you're using LCD, right?), the calibrations of the sets, etc.

Yep, I have an LCD. BTW, the repairman finally came yesterday (does anyone recall it was months ago the left speaker went wonky on this thing), and replaced the main board (which Funai had not even sent complete--he had to remove some components off the old board and solder them on to the new one), but it did not solve the problem. So now he has to come back to replace the power supply (which powers the speakers). Take my advice, people: STAY AWAY FROM FUNAI PRODUCTS!!!!

DR Jennifer - As for "ANTM" - I suspect the winning model's verbal skills really helped her win. -I don't think I could have taken another Jaslene. ;) I think her "real woman" figure gave her an edge from the marketing side of the venture.
-
MattH - I said clearly I wasn't criticizing - but I think in DVD reviewing when a DVD has been out before it's nice to know what the differences are. A further caveat is that I haven't seen the Criterion, but am basing my comments on screencaps. I have no doubt that the Criterion is sharper and cleaner and I'll probably have to have it, but JMK is right about the reds (and blues from what I can see in the caps) - much richer in the MGM, as they should be. I had an IB Tech print of the film - anyone who has ever seen anything printed in IB Tech knows that reds are incredibly poppy as are blues and greens - and that the skin tones are not quite so pasty brown. When I get the Criterion I'll be more detailed, but, as I already posted, others are saying the same thing.

He credited me back half the charges, put me on a four dollar a month higher plan that has no download charges at all, asked if I'd gotten my three free $10 postage coupons (I hadn't) credited that to my machine (I'll therefore have thirty bucks in postage on my machine next Friday), etc.

California's Top Court Overturns Same-Sex Marriage Ban (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,355836,00.html)
Thursday, May 15, 2008
SAN FRANCISCO — The California Supreme Court overturned a ban on gay marriage Thursday, calling such a prohibition unconstitutional and paving the way for California to become the second state where gay and lesbian residents can marry.
In the 4-3 decision, Chief Justice Ron George wrote for the majority that domestic partnerships are not a good enough substitute for marriage.
In striking down the ban, the court said, "In contrast to earlier times, our state now recognizes that an individual's capacity to establish a loving and long-term committed relationship with another person and responsibly to care for and raise children does not depend upon the individual's sexual orientation, and, more generally, that an individual's sexual orientation — like a person's race or gender — does not constitute a legitimate basis upon which to deny or withhold legal rights."

MattH - I said clearly I wasn't criticizing - but I think in DVD reviewing when a DVD has been out before it's nice to know what the differences are.
Of course it's nice to know, and in every single case where I had a previous release (most recent example - the Indiana Jones films), I have done comparisons in my reviews. But it isn't practical to expect it on every double dip release, even of classics. As I said, one just can't have everything, and I certainly don't have everything (much as I'd like to).
-
I listened to the Coppola/Scorsese commentary on THE THIEF OF BAGDAD this afternoon. Not nearly as interesting as the Bruce Eder commentary though, of course, Scorsese is much more into describing the techniques of shots and so on whereas Eder concentrated on the personalities making in the film. Glad to have both, but if I had only one to pick, I'd pick Eder's.
-
I listened to a bit of the isolated score and effects track. Nice recording and nice to hear that wonderful music apart from the talking. Rozsa has always been one of my favorites.
-
I went on to disc 2 and watched the first documentary on special effects in films with Harryhausen, Muren, and Barron. I was afraid they were going to talk in generalities (or in Ray's case about his own films) instead of talking specifically about THE THIEF OF BAGDAD, but eventually they got around to specifics in the movie.

And I had JUST enough time to squeeze in THE LION HAS WINGS, the 1939 propaganda film Korda made between the London and Hollywood filming schedules. Boy, not something I'd want to ever watch again (I wish they had licensed the Steve Reeves THIEF OF BAGDAD instead), but some interesting validation about why England had to go to war, and the fun use of real actors like Ralph Richardson and Merle Oberon into the documentary footage.
-
I don't watch any of the shows that are having their season finales tonight, but the ABC line-up is where I'll be! But I need to watch the last two episodes of "Lost" first. :-\ THEN, I'll watch tonight's episode. I'm caught up with "Ugly Betty" and "Grey's Anatomy," though.
I have to admit that I'm relieved some of these are finishing up their seasons tonight. Thursday night is just TOO jam packed with shows, and trying to stay up with them all is daunting.
-
I was thinking this morning about which shows I'll drop from my viewing next season. (I dropped WITHOUT A TRACE and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER last year).
I'm leaning right now toward dropping both CSI and CSI: MIAMI as well as BOSTON LEGAL next year. (BOSTON LEGAL has already announced that next year will be its last year, but I may not hang around any longer.)
-
I can't remember about whom it was said, and it probably was a mean and unjustified comment, but Frank Rich said about an actor that you couldn't imagine him being the toast of one continent, let alone two.
EDIT: Never mind, I got it wrong. It was the toast of two sexes, not continents, and it was about an actor I think is great, so never mind.

Jane!
My DH and I went coming home from dinner last night (celebrating our 14th anniversary) and saw a woman walking her dog down our street. As we pulled into the driveway, I hopped out of the car---I was sure it was a Burnese. (My DH thought it was a bulldog!)
Sure enough, it was a Burnese puppy named Buckley. He was SO soft...his fur was like cotton! And he had one blue eye!
I told our neighbor about Sherlock and she said that it was a genetic trait common to that breed, and she was glad because she got a good deal since the breeder couldn't breed him.
-
I picked up the manuscript and have already finished entering the fixes - she caught some lulus, too - missed apostrophes, added words that shouldn't have been there, missing words that should have been there - I have ten tiny things to run by muse Margaret, just to get her opinion, and then we'll be done and I'll send out the manuscript for the dust jacket blurbs. HOW CUTE!!! Now you know why we/Sherlock used to get mobbed when he was a puppy, & that I'm not exaggerating.
I sure would like to know what she considered a good deal. It seemed to us our only break was getting dog who would otherwise have been a show dog. There wasn't a special price due to his blue eye.;D
Might Buckley be from California? I don't remember where Sherlock's half brother with the blue eye is currently living. Any chance your neighbor allow you to share a photo of him?

The best thing about my mid-afternoon doctor's appointment (aside from a clean bill of health) is that there wasn't time for me to get back to work. I came home and have been puttering for the past couple of hours. Even watching Oprah - her guests are Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Now I want to go see Baby Mama.

Got some writing to do, and then I'll head back down to continue with the extras on THE THIEF OF BAGDAD. I'm on the Michael Powell audio interviews next.

Well, it's probably too late, but ***DENTAL VIBES*** to DR Ron Pulliam!
It's never too late for you, my slippypaw friend!
I have not, yet, regretted my changeover to a new not-owned-by-the-insurance-company dentist. It has been a bit of an expensive venture (compared to the nearly free treatments of the past). But at least the work NEEDING doing is being DONE (the insurance outfits claim they do everything needing doing and that the insurance covers it all except a small co-pay. The insurance company dentists, however, let me know I needed some things insurance simply would not allow and that they were not using the most advanced equipment or materials that would benefit me).

I have to admit that I'm relieved some of these are finishing up their seasons tonight. Thursday night is just TOO jam packed with shows, and trying to stay up with them all is daunting.
May I respectfully disagree? Thursday is the night I LIVE for all week long! When these shows are gone/in reruns, my Thursdays will be a void. And my weekends will be the lesser for not having the Thursday night shows I couldn't watch when they aired available to watch on my DVR.
Sigh.

California's Top Court Overturns Same-Sex Marriage Ban (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,355836,00.html)der Brucer
The Republican Governor has said he will uphold it.
The Republican Governor said he is opposed to any ballot initiative (schemed for November) to overturn it.
Republican Governors appointed 6 of the 7 Court Justices
The same Republican Governor was against it a year ago when San Francisco Mayor Newsom declared gay marriages legal.
Maybe the Republican Governor recognizes that his butt is whipped by his confrontational alienation of every major demographic in the state (teachers, law enforcement, fire departments and now, gay professional ins ALL walks of life, many of them well-heeled and influential). Many of them are, whether he realized it at first or not, are among his rich Republican constituents.
In California, gay money talks.

DR Ben the “do not call” list does not keep you safe from politicians or non-profit organizations.
I know. The problem is it's not political calls or nonprofits that are calling. I'm getting obvious sales calls from companies that have never called me before and I have never used their product or purchased anything from them over the phone or in any other way. They just ignore the Do Not Call list and I guess get enough victims from the boiler room phone calls that they are willing to pay fines for not adhering to the DNC rules.
As I said, now, if I don't know the name or phone number or if it's blocked or "unavailable" I don't answer the phone and people who know us and call us know to leave a message if they get the machine.

Well, our big NY presentation went off without a hitch, despite the poor head of TNT/TBS/TCM/TruTV creative being felled by a kidney stone, hospitalized and then not being able to get a flight and having to wait at the airport for half a day. Fortunately, he had it so well organized that things were able to proceed until he got there.
All of the stars (Kyra, Holly and the newbies--Eric McCormick etc.) were there and they showed our :60 promo that we shot up in NY last month. Kyra was very complimentary of the spots and said what a nice job we did. Hooray! We watched a simulcast on the web during our session. Besides the shows that were represented at the Upfront, there's lots more on the horizon, so I should be able to keep pretty busy this year:
TNT orders big-name cop series
George Clooney, '24's' Joel Surnow among producers
By Paul J. Gough
NEW YORK -- TNT announced plans to extend its winning streak in scripted dramas with projects in development from big-time executive producers George Clooney, "24" co-creator Joel Surnow and others.
Four of the series in development are cop-themed. "Delta Blues" is about a Memphis cop who is also an Elvis impersonator. It's executive produced by Clooney, Grant Heslov, Abby Wolf-Weiss, Liz Garcia and Josh Harto (Warner Horizon Television and SmokeHouse). Another project is yet to be titled and focuses on a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent. Surnow is the executive producer with Todd Robinson and also the writer. And "Angel City" is an "Adam-12"-like drama written by L.A. cop Will Beall and Barry Schindel with Mandalay Television.
None of the projects was mentioned at Turner's upfront, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Wednesday morning, the first time Turner had gone into upfront week. It's not likely to be the last, judging from the positive reaction from buyers and the good vibes afterward from Turner execs who put on an 81-minute program that had everything -- stars, lots of footage -- that their broadcast rivals so far have lacked.
Also in development are "Tough Trade," a look at Nashville music from Lionsgate Television and executive produced by Chris Offutt, Sean Furst and Bryan Furst; and an untitled family drama like "Little Miss Sunshine" executive produced by Rob Ulin.
Turner told advertisers that it was ready to dramatically increase its original content on TNT. The goal is to eventually have 80 percent original content weeknights, with original programming three nights a week by 2010.

Just spent three hours reading through the Nudie Musical script - cut lines, added lines, rearranged lines, cleaned some things up. I see a couple of problem areas in terms of characters, which I'll deal with tomorrow - the ingenue, Susie, virtually disappears from both film and musical after her big song early in act one, so I'll be sprinkling both her and George Brenner into more group scenes - since they're separate roles one has to justify having them in the show - it's not a major deal, but it's important.
The very ending of the piece, which is the movie ending, is a little soft for me (I tried using I Don't Have To Hide Anymore as the final song, but it doesn't really work) - so I have to rethink the way it ends - I may reprise a number there or create something more punchy.
-
Happy Anniversary to Amy and Greg!!!!
Thnak you, Cillaliz!
I will convey everyone's wishes to my DH tonight. He's in rehearsal for a film that's shooting this week. Most of it takes place in the back of a delivery van.

But happily because the movie structure is so sound, the play structure is also sound - in fact, I've been able to make it sounder, beefing up the conflict with the backers and the problems with the leading lady, so that there's real jeopardy throughout.
And the new material seems like it's really solid - I laughed out loud several times at some of the new gags. The big question right now is whether to cut Juanita Juanita's boyfriend Riff - I love him in the film, but he doesn't do all that much, and we'd really only be losing the one gag in his opening scene - I know people who like the film would probably miss him - he certainly can be played by one of the ensemble boys (the ensemble plays multiple roles throughout), so I'm going to ponder. I may leave him in for the informal reading and see how it feels.
-
Yes, send me the info and I'll get them off to you pronto.

Good Evening!
Kerry Butler's mini-concert and CD signing was lots of fun. There were lots of "Broadway Babies" in the audience - as well as some real babies - including Tina Fey and her newborn. -Who knew she was a fan of Kerry Butler?
Kerry sang a couple of numbers backed up by a small combo. And, yes, I picked up a copy of the CD and got it signed. And even though I haven't listened to the CD yet, I have to say that I'm really looking forward to it after the "preview" I heard tonight.
BK - Both Ms. Butler and Craig Brockman say HI!
-
Well, it's time for me to leave work and eat dinner. I'd like to watch as much of the last two episodes of "Lost" as I can, before tonight's episode starts. Since I'm recording all three ABC shows, I can wait until later to see "Ugly Betty" and "Grey's Anatomy."
Have a good evening, all. :)

Cute bunny Cilla.
I have to be very careful driving these days. Yesterday I almost hit a little bunny when it ran in front of my car. Today I had to stop while a young squirrel ran under my car. I never saw it come out from under the car so I got out and looked before driving on. I was on my dirt road so there was no problem stopping.

DR JoseSPiano - have you ever heard the German cast recording of A Chorus Line? It seems like they deliberately tried to copy the OBC as much as possible, but the orchestra is very closely miked, so you hear a lot of orchestration detail that you don't necessarily hear on the OBC.
Every time I hear the WAH-WAH peddle, I think of you! :)

Goodnight and smooches, kids! :D

When I say Sherlock and I are hiking it is usually to a place near us called Oredson-Todd Woods. Keith & I took DR MBarnum & DD Bosco there. Lately our local paper has been doing a “hike of the week” article. Guess which hike they just higlighteddid-lol.!
For photos and story Click Here (http://www.dailytidings.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=62129)
I don't think the photos do the hike justice.

DR MattH, i'm not enjoying BOSTON LEGAL as much this year. There are some characters i really enjoy (like Jerry). But overall i've been disappointed.

HAPPY 14TH ANNIVERSARY TO DR EDI AND YOUR DH GREG! :D
I was so excited about the puppy I neglected to send the wishes earlier.
Thanks, Jane. I must say that he was very well-behaved (the puppy, that is!) and mellow for a puppy!
-
That must have felt great! :D
Well, it's just one of those millstones, you know... :)
-
Happy Anniversary to DR Edi!!!!!!!!!
-
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AMY & GREG!!!!!
Thank you, Jose! And thanks for all those wonderful reports from LA!
Boy, our anniversary is certainly upping the posts today!
-
DR Jane - I'd like to go hiking there with you!
-
Thanks, Jane. I must say that he was very well-behaved (the puppy, that is!) and mellow for a puppy!
They tend to be mellow dogs, especially when they get the right amount of exercise.

I still have not yet seen last season of THE CLOSER. :(
The channel that showed all previous seasons is now an E channel. And our channel W (women's channel) has not shown this season yet). Hopefully they will.
-
I see that a
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
is in order for DR Edisaurus and her ever lovin' DH Greg!!!
CONGRATULATIONS and many happy returns!!! :D
Thank you, Sing-sing! It has truly been the best 14 years of my life.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes, Jennifer!
Maybe you can rent season 3??

Ah, my DH just called. He's done with rehearsal so he's coming to my edit room and we'll go out to forage for some food.
-
I watched UGLY BETTY and now have to decide if i want to watch LOST tonight or tomorrow. I often wait if i'm tired because i find i have to concentrate so hard to follow everything!
-
I would have been done by now if I hadn't loaded two tapes in the wrong resolution. Argh.
Now that our testing spots are done, I should be able to stay low-res for the rest of the season. Yay!
-
'night
-
Off for chow. Laters!
-
May I respectfully disagree? Thursday is the night I LIVE for all week long! When these shows are gone/in reruns, my Thursdays will be a void. And my weekends will be the lesser for not having the Thursday night shows I couldn't watch when they aired available to watch on my DVR.
Sigh.
For me, it will afford opportunities to winnow down the stacks of DVDs, HD-DVDs, and Blu-rays that are sitting in my den. Change is good.
Besides, there are PLENTY of summer shows returning that I'll be able to give time to, among them BURN NOTICE, THE CLOSER, and MAD MEN.

I have an interesting announcement to make sometime within the next five days. Those that know me and especially Matt H will (I hope) will say about time!!
-
I finished all of the bonus features on THE THIEF OF BAGDAD's second disc which included lengthy audio interviews with Miklos Rozsa and Michael Powell.
Loved the stills section, especially the behind-the-scenes shots.
-
Michael S - Could you make your announcement before Wednesday? I won't have internet access once I leave for Washington on Wednesday.

Looking forward to your announcement!

I had some time before prime time TV started, so I pulled off the shelf a movie we've talked about this week - THE BIRDS.
I only got Melanie across the bay, but it's so enjoyable: that long set-up before anything earth shattering happens. The genius of Hitchcock laying the groundwork so carefully and lulling the audience into repose.
But argh! I have no time to finish the movie. I've GOT to start on THE INVADERS tomorrow. It's five discs with lots of bonus features.
-
UGLY BETTY: I really enjoyed it. Revving things up for a smashing season finale next week.
-
GREY'S ANATOMY:
One of the angriest, most venting hours of TV I've ever seen. Yes, there were some compensating moments (the elevator scene at the end). Good acting from everyone, but it was just like walking on nails - so sharp and cutting.
And who knew that "Ava" was such a mental case?
-
LOST:
Wow! Agonizing moments with the present day story and with the flashforward. Turning, turning, turning those tension screws. And a two week wait before we get to LOST's season finale. Whew!
-
Ran the additional ten fixes by muse Margaret and we're doing two of the ten - she felt, rightfully so, that the others, which all were dialogue-related, while perhaps proper, didn't suit the character speaking the dialogue. And one non-dialogue one, while I suppose proper, was so awkward-sounding and so not the voice of the book, that we let it be. And I agree with her - you can't jeopardize the voice just to have something be grammatically correct, but really bad-sounding in terms of the particular sentence in the particular book. I've noticed more and more people doing it, because once you've established a style for the narrator, you can't just get all proper all of a sudden, if that's not what the book is. And nothing we're leaving is actually incorrect - and the proofer said so - said it was fine either way, but felt it her job to at least point out the other way.
-
I shall now finish the motion picture I am watching. My eyes are a bit bleary from all the Nudie Musical work, but I shall watch nonetheless.
-
What, everyone suddenly fell into an abyss?
-
That's Abyssmal.
-
Will we never get to page eleven?
-
I forgot to mention--BK's own Kevin Spirtas appeared in the extendo-vision version of Daredevil, which I am reviewing as part of a massive Marvel Boxed Set.
-
Good evening, things have been VERY busy at work. Lots of new cases, many quite serious criminal cases or contested immigration cases. I haven't had time for lunch or to go to the bathroom during the day for the past 2 days, lol. I'm really tired, but it's a very good tired. Tomorrow is supposed to be an office work day, I'm hoping that it pans out that way.
-
This weekend I will be sleeping and working. Looking forward to both
-
Ok, I can't stay awake anymore. Night
-
I'm heading down to bed, too.
Good night!
-
What, me worry?
-
Listening to music from the films of Mario Monicelli - fun.
-
Perhaps I'll get my second wind at some point. Right now, my lids are heavy.
-
She of the Evil Eye is actually coming tomorrow morning rather than Saturday. And I'm jiggy with that.
-
I see how it is. I see just how it is. It is how I just see it. I just is how I see it.
-
Nobody here but us chickens and no one can ever say us chickens WUSSBURGERED.
-
I guess page eleven won't be happening.
-
Unless...
-
So it is written, so it shall be done - page eleven.
-

Ooo...this sounds intriguing. ;)

I'm watching this right now! I just finished watching three hours of "Lost." Very exciting!

OMG! I'm watching the hi-def version of "Ugly Betty" and all of a sudden the voices went silent on the soundtrack! All the other noises (the sound effects, the music, etc.) still were there, but just no voices! It lasted a couple of minutes, but it was very weird! I've never watched any of the hi-def channels in hi-def before...does this happen very often??
