Well, you've read the notes, the notes were scary, and now it is time for you to post until the scary cows come home.

And the word of the day is: PIGSNEY!

Had forgotten to title the notes - did a quick edit, added the birthday wishes, and all is well.

Here the flu shots are free if you fit into one of many categories (over 60. under 2, or living with one of these groups...). Also many companies (like my brother-in-law's) give free shots.
I find it weird that my niece is not free. She goes to daycare where germs are all over. Yet because she is 3 she is not free. Although i believe the workers get it free.
Every place i've had shots here make you wait after the shot.

Happy Birthday DR JED.

Well I made it through the monolog which was okay....last night on SNL. The cast list was ENDLESS...almost as bad as 60 Minutes.....
The first sketch was pointless and was one of the things I have grown to hate about the show. Some comedy sketch artist has created an idiot character with a catchphrase that we are force fed each week and will sooner or later be turned into a worthless movie....
The MAD MEN sketch captured the flavor of MM in a way, but it was helped greatly by having THREE of the cast member from the show there. Otherwise it started no where and went no where.
I turned the show off before the Variety Show that DRS JOSE and CILLA LIZ were talking about, so I don't know about that....but I don't think I can watch it again, no matter who is hosting.
-
Good morning, all! I have nothing new to report. Yesterday, I accomplished a goodly amount of work, and I watched several DVDs: a Hammer Film, THE MUMMY'S SHROUD (why? oh, why?), and a Venna state Opera production of DON GIOVANNI with a great cast and some of the most peculiar costumes ever seen: the first act began in costunes around 1650 and the opera ended with everyone wearing mid-Victorian garb. Every scene was a new change of fashion, wigs, and makeup for everyone. While it wasn't as boringly staged as the current Met production, it was painful to watch because of the constant parade of over-the-top fashions from too many centuries.
Today, more on THE MOST HAPPY FELLA and THE STUDENT PRINCE.
-
I think I would have liked it best, DR ELMORE, if they had removed costumes for each act and ended the opera skyclad.
-
Good morning. I think I have an autumn cold.
-
Always wear a hat, DR td.
-
I am off to work.
-
I think I would have liked it best, DR ELMORE, if they had removed costumes for each act and ended the opera skyclad.
Unfortunately, I doubt most of the cast would look too good au naturel except for Ildebrando D'Arcangelo.
Our Upload Folder seems to be too full again. I suspect Australian interference. :)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to Our E&T DR Jed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come back, DR Jed! All is forgiven.

Good morning!
We're going to have another beautiful day here with highs in the mid-70s, but then it starts to turn cold once again. But I'm going to enjoy some fresh air today.
-
Our Upload Folder seems to be too full again. I suspect Australian interference. :)
Yeah, but it was worth it.
-
I got the same notice about the upload folder being full, so consider this the page two dance!!!
-
I have two more films in the Rialto box that I haven't watched (the third one left is Jean-Pierre Melville's ARMY OF SHADOWS which I reviewed some months ago), so this afternoon I'll be working on Jean-Luc Godard's BAND OF OUTSIDERS. I've never seen it before, so once again I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge of New Wave cinema by watching this.
-
I'll be watching Thursday night's THE OFFICE while I eat lunch today. Then I'll go on to the Godard film.
-
On TV Tonight!™
ABC - EXTREME MAKEOVER, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, BROTHERS & SISTERS
CBS - AMAZING RACE, COLD CASE, THE UNIT
NBC - THE 40-YEAR OLD VIRGIN, THE OFFICE
FOX - The World Series
AMC - MAD MEN (season finale)
HBO - TRUE BLOOD
SHO - DEXTER

I'm gone more than half an hour and no posts since my last one? Wow!

I guess I'll head down now to get the laundry ready for washing and then start fixing lunch.

I'll have to see if Bakalor can get into the other older board and purge over there.
-
Otherwise this will keep happening every week.
-
And I'm up.
-
Purging on a Sunday morning is often a sign of a good time had on Saturday night.
-
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And I guess DST is next weekend. ???
*Which I should have realized after I did not see the usual reminders on the news last night. -Although, even some of "research" - Googling, etc. - still said that it was this weekend. ???
-
Good morning. It's windy here. 50 mph gusts or more. They said last night that it would be tropical storm strength, but since we aren't near the coast we just call it windy
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR JED!!!!!

When I first saw that Steve Tyrell cover in the stores, I thought it was William Petersen too. ;)

DR Jose, it changed a couple years ago
When do We Put the Clocks Back? Prior to 2007, people the United States always set their clocks forward an hour on the first Sunday in April and set their clocks back an hour on the last Sunday in October to observe Daylight Savings Time rules. However, as of the year 2007, Daylight Savings Time began to change and is now in place between the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November a change of only a few weeks. In 2007, the clocks will be set back on November 4th. This change was made as a result of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which was designed to lower the use of energy for heating and illuminating homes.

I've asked Bakalor to do a big purge of the much older stuff. The only things I can purge are on this current software, and if I do it it only goes back to October 9, and most of the stuff is barely a week old, and I don't want to have to do this every week. If he does the big purge of older stuff, then it's just once every couple of months, which is fine, and actually this software is set to purge itself every twenty-five days.

OK, time to do housework. This place is a mess and if my drywaller can't work next weekend my parents are coming in for the day to go shopping...

DR Jose, thanks for the Faceboo gift. I do have my button and t-shirt, which i wear quite proudly.

I have been to a restaurant meeting.

Chicken soup for me today.

BTW, I reference our very own BK's not very secret disdain of Warner DVD transfers in my new review of Quo Vadis, which is live over at DVDTalk.

I don't think it got quite as warm as the forecasters said. It's fine for October, but I doubt it's in the mid 70s.
-
Seems to me it's MS, not BK, who needs a new avatar--all I'm seeing is a Red X where Michael Shayne used to be.
That's all I'm seeing as well. Why?
-
I did watch THE OFFICE from Thursday night as I ate lunch. Pleasant episode, not as fall down funny as some, but still just fine.
-
Then I watched Godard's BAND OF OUTSIDERS which I had never seen before. FIlled with Godard's usual disdain of traditional cinema and the light, fizzy mood just evaporated in the last 10-15 minutes of the film as things turned hostile and desperate. Not a great film, but certainly enjoyable to watch for at least 3/4 of its length.
-
The last film in the box I've never reviewed before is the one I'll be doing tonight: AU HASARD BALTHAZAR. Having never seen it either, my educationon la cinema du France continues.
It's only 95 minutes so I should finish it easily before my TV programs for the evening begin.
-
Next I watched CHARLIE CHAN IN RIO. I had never seen this mystery, and once again I was able to pick up on an early vital clue and tab the murderer long before the identity was revealed.
There is only one more Chan mystery in this last box: CASTLE IN THE DESERT, another CHan I have never seen before.
-
This damn cough will not go away.
That isn't surprising, those coughs usually linger.
-
I concluded my afternoon viewing with IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN. I knew I'd likely be too busy when ABC runs it this week, and since I had the DVD and it doesn't have commercials, I was able to squeeze it in during the last 25 minutes of afternoon viewing time.
-
BTW, I reference our very own BK's not very secret disdain of Warner DVD transfers in my new review of Quo Vadis, which is live over at DVDTalk.
Under the stolid if run of the mill (or De Mille, as the case may be) direction of Mervyn LeRoy...

LOL, I thought about that. Then my NOAA weather radio went off with a warning that the winds are gusting to close to 60 mph. Since I live in a neighborhood of really old trees, I decided to clean out the closets, separate out the clothes to donate to Good Will, move my summer clothes to the guest room and my winter clothes into my room and deep clean my bedroom. I'm about 75 % done and needed a WW fudge bar to be able to complete the task.

Most of the transfers look really sensational. Despite Fox's warnings that they used the best available material to fashion the DVD (which usually suggests a rocky time ahead) , some of them are flawless and all that I've watched in this set are no less than good.

Good afternoon all. Well, Jed's mother just left. She came over for his birthday weekend, and gave us a great present. She babysat the little man so Jed and I could go out to dinner last night. We went to Red Lobster and gorged ourselves on shrimp. I enjoyed my first tasty beverage, a strawberry daquiri, since I got pregnant with Toby. It was lovely. DMIL (Dear Mother In Law) was thrilled to be have the time to just sit and hold Toby and stare at him. She is quite smitten with this little baby boy. She also brought a chocolate birthday cake for Jed, which is delicious. She went home about an hour ago, Jed's watching the Seahawks try not to blow it, and I'm holding a sleeping Toby and listening to Harry Potter/Askaban on my itunes.
Hope all is well around here!

Sunday afternoon greetings! After church today, we had a lo-o-o-ong meeting (where lunch was served) and Richard and I stopped to see my mom and aunt on the way home. Now, we have to pack for our graduation journey to Wisconsin tomorrow. This evening will be a "pack 'n' post" one for me.

Having a nice, lazy Sunday. Watched an early 1930s movie I DVR'd off TCM called THE CIRCUS QUEEN MURDER, which was quite entertaining.
Now I am catching up with this weeks episode of LIFE ON MARS. I understand that the ratings on this show have plummeted....oh well, I will enjoy it while it lasts.
-
Today I have been doing nothing but watching TV. The only shows that I have left are this past Wednesday's episodes of "Private Practice" and "Dirty Sexy Money," then tonight's shows, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (maybe), "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers & Sisters." Also, I want to watch "Mad Men" when it's available on hi-def. After all that, both of my DVRs will be empty. I've never had that happen before. I love it when I have days like this...they're so few and far between, especially since I start rehearsal tomorrow night!
-
But now, I'm off to my sister's house. I have some dishes and some other stuff of hers that I need to return to her.
Be back later!
-
Back from rehearsal, which was fine. A bit sloppy, but I spoke strongly after, and they stayed to clean up the staging. I think we'll be fine for tomorrow night.
-
We also had a long meeting after church -- the regular fall meeting. One woman who recently began attending church has been attending all of our meetings and speaks at great length about things that are not relevant to the business at hand. At great length.
-
Happy to say I finished the lighting script - did half before I left and half when I got back. All remaining packages are now ready for the post office, and I'm just waiting for my short visit with Hisaka, and then I'll get something amusing to eat. But, here is what's NOT amusing:
PAGE FOUR!
I find it annoying and irksome and I will personally bitch-slap each and every errant and truant Wazoo who is currently causing us to have our lowest posting day ever. STOP IT NOW.
-
I had a meeting today, too, DR Laura. I looked at the clock in the kitchen and it said 10:40am. I said something unprintable before saying that I had to be at Mulligan's ten minutes earlier. I dived into a pair of shows, tossed on my WICKED cap, slid into my leather jacket and hit the road. (fortunately, the road did not hit back). I made the meeting for the final forty minutes.

Here another post on the way to page 5. I've spent all day working on the STUDENT PRINCE medley and I think the singer will be happy. It's running time is about 7 minutes and uses "Deep In My heart," "Golden Days," "Gaudeamus Igitur," "Drink Drink Drink!" and the wonderful "Serenade."
I'd like to fiinish it tomorrow, write the vocal andchoral parts on Tuesday and invocie the singer on Wednesday, I love Invoice Days.
Almost time for THE AMAZING RACE, which i'm watching in support of my friend Nick. After that, it's back to my novel. I'm reading THE THREE MUSKETEERS in a new translation by Richard Pevear, one-half of the couple who did the wonderful version of ANNA KARENINA about 6 years ago. It's quite good, but I honestly don't feel it's any better than several contemporary translations I've read. Some of his word choices are strange, but the book is fantastic in almost any translation.
I tried to post the cover, but i keep getting this "upload folder is full." I have no idea how other DRs are posting images.

The Seattle Seahawks did indeed not blow it, but ended up trouncing the San Francisco 49ers.

DR Ginny, I hope you have a safe and joyous journey to DH Richard's graduation.

And to add insult to injury in my current financial woes, I think my CD player is on its last legs. I need a major purchase this year but I was hopong to get a new iMac and take this down to Toyland for the office.

But I like a few teams that are still left....haven't chosen a favorite yet....maybe at the end of the show tonight.
Major hatred there, dontcha think?
-
I apologize if my absence has resulted in one of the lowest posting days in our site's lifetime. I may not be around much for a while. Times are tough in the Northwest at the moment.

Major major major....DR ELMORE.....
-
DR LAURA perhaps the chair would do well to NOT recognize her.
It gets worse. She will be the guest speaker when several of us are in Fresno for district conference.
-
I would like to see the GIRL TALK with Virginia Graham one half hour interview with Ms Lucille Ball, done in 1960 that came right after the divorce as Lucy was appearing in WILDCAT on Broadway.
It was remarkable in its candor.....and as a 9 year old, I became fascinated by the difference between Lucille Ball and Lucy Ricardo......
-
DR LAURA perhaps the chair would do well to NOT recognize her.
It gets worse. She will be the guest speaker when several of us are in Fresno for district conference.
All this a heaven, too.
Don't forget my raisins.
-
Speaking of those divorcees, they're sure coming off as obnoxious bitches. They remind me of the wacko Kenley on PWOJECT WUNWAY, only on a more epic scale. I don't wonder at all why they're divorced.
-
Movie I've seen once but might enjoy seeing again: Three drag queens come to town and change everything.
-
The game, the game - I don't give a fig for the game.
-
Slow posting day.....maybe we need a topic.....
Favorite movie or TV show you only saw once.....but would love to see again....if possible!
When I was in about the 2nd or 3rd grade I saw, on the noon movie, a 1950s film noir starring Scott Brady and Joan Vohs titled TERROR AT MIDNIGHT. I loved the movie, but have not seen it since.
-
I had a foot-long Subway turkey and three bite-sized candies - none with fat grams and total calories of 150.
-
Speaking of those divorcees, they're sure coming off as obnoxious bitches. They remind me of the wacko Kenley on PWOJECT WUNWAY, only on a more epic scale. I don't wonder at all why they're divorced.
Mechanical failures can be hell.....
I am enjoying hearing everyone's ONE VIEW wonders.
-
Movie I've seen once but might enjoy seeing again: Three drag queens come to town and change everything.
Were they named Moe, Larry, and Curly?
-
Oh no, wait a minute....I know the movie you're talking about.
It's SEX IN THE CITY.
-
DR Ginny, I hope you have a safe and joyous journey to DH Richard's graduation.
Thank you so much, DR TCB! Our DS Rob is going with us and Richard's older brother and his wife will be joining us there. The music director from our church has to go to Milwaukee on business this week and is factoring the graduation ceremony into his plans.
-
It had Wesley Snipes as Miss Noxema. That's all I remember.
-
What do I care for a game?
-
OTOH, there is nothing like a game
-
Games, you don't recall their names, do you?
-
DR Ginny, I hope you have a safe and joyous journey to DH Richard's graduation.
Thank you so much, DR TCB! Our DS Rob is going with us and Richard's older brother and his wife will be joining us there. The music director from our church has to go to Milwaukee on business this week and is factoring the graduation ceremony into his plans.
We of course will be waiting for pictures of said E-vent.
-
Beautiful Cambodian Temples.......ugly American Dee-Vor-Says.
-
It had Wesley Snipes as Miss Noxema. That's all I remember.
Did it win any Oscars?
-
Page Six One Night Only Dance sans picture.
-
Good chance for Nick & Starr to get a win this week.....the next few minutes will tell the tale.
-
It had Wesley Snipes as Miss Noxema. That's all I remember.
TO WONG FOO THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, written by an acquaintance of mine, Douglas Bean. He was shallow when he "worked" at Drama Book Shop, but i think he got shallower with success.
-
I was sorry to lose the last place team.....happy with the first place.... I love THE AMAZING RACE.
-

Well if it's shallow, you can always see the bottom.
-
I was sorry to lose the last place team.....happy with the first place.... I love THE AMAZING RACE.
I liked them, too. I want the divorcees to go.
-
Maybe next week!
-
I guess I'll watch something amongst the piled up DVDs I need to tackle.
DR MBarnum, did you go to Youtube?
-
I think I will watch Bette Davis and Errol Flynn in the Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex.....it may make me forget The Decorator!
-
I guess I'll watch something amongst the piled up DVDs I need to tackle.
DR MBarnum, did you go to Youtube?
Surprise yourself!
-
...and needed a WW fudge bar to be able to complete the task.
You had a candy bar saved from The Great War?
der Brucer
Girls like you...chocolates and nylons...what can I say?
Yeah right...no a Weight Watchers Frozen Fudge bar. They taste great and are only 1 point
Bet you don't remember "points" from the days of WWII.
Porterhouse steak 1lb - 12 points
Hamburger 1lb - 7 points
Butter 1lb - 16 points
American cheese 1lb - 8 points
der Brucer
My grandpa had a general store with his brothers. I used to play with something similar to the picture that they had left from WWII

Oh, DR JRand, thank you for reminding me to pack my camera!

I really loved that film

I was sorry to lose the last place team.....happy with the first place.... I love THE AMAZING RACE.
I was sorry to see them go too, but it sounds like their relationship got a great start. I like Nick and Star. I like the mother and son too. I'd like to see the divorcees and the frat boys who don't look like frat boys go home
-
Well, I'm pretty shallow myself.
-
Samantha and I got matching TAR shirts when we were in NYC. I was wearing mine one day in town when I was shopping and one of the clerks asked me if I had been on the show. It made me laugh. I should have said yes and made up a big story, but I just said no and smiled.
-
I guess no more pics of France today.
I'm listening to the wonderful Grace Knight.
-
I am SOO happy that I worked on my room today. I went through all my clothes and have a number of bags loaded up in the car to take to Good Will tomorrow. I also washed a couple of my winter coats and they came out so well that I don't think I need a new one this year. I know I should have done that in the Spring, but I didn't.
-
Why would anyone bother with Wong Foo when they could have had Priscilla! (Not a reference to Cillaliz).
-
"Priscilla" opens in London soon. A very successful stage version in OZ. (I guess in a Mama Mia sort of way - people don't want to think or be exposed to "new")
-
Because it was Wong Foo that came on the television that night.
-
LOL Dear Reader Laura.
And I thought you didn't watch TV.
-
How could I not see a film called Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I liked that too
-
The wind has finally calmed down I have lots of sticks in the yard and one fairly good sized limb in the front, at least that's what I can see from the windows. I'll check the rest of the yard in the morning
-
I'm just relaxing. Must go out and get some Drano - have a sink that's being ornery.
-
LOL Dear Reader Laura.
And I thought you didn't watch TV.
It was years ago.

Good Evening!
Maurizio Pollini's recital earlier today at Carnegie Hall was quite wonderful. Yes, one of the "elder statesmen" of Pianists did show a bit of his "conservative" side, but I found myself surprised by some particularly nuanced dynamics and colorings, variations of touch. On paper, the recital did not look that "big" to me, but once I was settled into my chair and read the program again, I realized that each half would run about 45 minutes each. And they did. However, at no time did I feel that the program felt long - everything was just right.
True to form, Pollini treated the audience to a number of encores - four to be exact. All Chopin, and he ended with the G-minor Ballade - quite a substantial piece in itself.
*And, lo and behold, even though I did hear a couple of "signal watches" go off around 3:15, I don't think I heard one cellphone go off the entire time. :)
-
When I left the Hall, I decided to go head and take a stroll through Central Park since it had been a few weeks since my last visit. -I've walked by and around the Park lately, but not through it.
While I was walking, I saw this:
-
Even in close up - and a little blurry - it still looks nice...
-
I also saw this:
A week from now, my brother Jay, his girlfriend, Maria, and some other friends of mine will be finishing the ING NYC Marathon (http://ingnycmarathon.org/) there. :)
-
Beautiful photos, DR Jose, thanks for sharing them
-
I had hoped to eat here:
But since the line was out the door and around the corner...
I decided to just grab a bite to eat closer to home. -And it didn't look like they had the logistics of the "C-Line" (Cold Line) worked out yet, and no one already in line was willing to let me cut in to see if I could go ahead and get in the C-Line.
-
Thank you DR Jose.
-
And now to see what the Mad Men and Women of Sterling-Cooper are up to tonight...
*I'll watch "Brothers & Sisters" later.
**And for any DR who happens to "Twitter", there's a whole "Mad Men" community tweeting away. Quite fun.
-
You're Welcome, DR Cillaliz.
-
You're Welcome, DR Tomovoz.
-
Thank you for posting the beautiful autumn leaves. Its' always a treat to see what is in other parts of the country.
-
My arm has recovered from my flu shot. The big hot welt from yesterday is totally gone and I'm feeling really good.
DR Jennifer, yesterday you said after you get a flu shot there, they make you wait....I don't understand what you are waiting for, can you explain that?
-
After that, it's back to my novel.
DR elmore - Which cover/edition do you have?
This one:
Or this one:
*And I'm posting the images using the [img] coding - which works in a similar way to how you post URLs and hyperlinks. -Just hit reply to see how it's done. No need to save a copy of the image to your hard drive.
-
You're most welcome, DR Laura.
-
And here's my favorite overheard comment from my stroll today in Central Park...
10-year old girl to her mother: "It smells like popcorn and horses."
And it did. ;)
-
DR Jennifer, yesterday you said after you get a flu shot there, they make you wait....I don't understand what you are waiting for, can you explain that?
I was told that they ask you to wait because some people get faint after having a shot.
-
That would make a good quote, Jose.
-

That makes sense, I guess.

The wind has arrived here in SW Ohio, right on schedule!

I think someone needs to get back in touch with his inner Cubby Bernstein (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMRjcdIVFYk).
*Which happens to be another creation of Douglas Carter Beane.
-
That would make a good quote, Jose.
I'm thinking about it. ;)

Today the Vixter made her Confirmation or as we liek to say, Affirmation of her Baptism
I wanted to post some photos but for some reason I can't get them to resize properly

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO NEW DADDY JED!!!

Well, often about 36 hours after you describe a weather condition you're experiencing, it turns up here.
-
Even though we're not leaving for WI until DS Rob finishes classes tomorrow at 2pm, I have some things to do in the morning, so
'night!
-
Please hold for your Confirmation number.
Congrats to the vixter!
-
WOW!!!!!
That was truly one of the best hours (well, 50 minutes) of television I've ever watched.
-The season finale of "Mad Men", that is.
-
Sleep Well, DR Ginny, and Safe Travels tomorrow. ~~~~~~
-
Just watching old TV shows.
-
Travel Vibes to Ginny & Co
-
Congratulations to DR vixter on her Confirmation!
*Did they do the anointing with Holy Oil/Chrism? I remember when I had my Confirmation, all I wanted to do was to wipe it off my forehead since it started to itch. -But I wasn't sure if the Bishop would have approved. ;)
-
Hmm... That almost sounds quite Unseemly. Eh - I'll leave it.
-
Congrats to Vixter....

No we don't anoint with oil in the Lutheran church (at least not our parish) we only started anointing with ashes on Ash Wednesday a few years ago -
After the canidate makes a statement affirming thier baptism and asking God's help, the Pastor puts his hands on the top of their bowed head and says a a prayer and a blessing
-
Seems to me it's MS, not BK, who needs a new avatar--all I'm seeing is a Red X where Michael Shayne used to be.
Interesting since I haven't added a photo since I came back under this name. Perhaps I should add something.
-
I figured out the resizing but the upload file is still full - I thought it had been emptied since Jose was able to post pictures
-
The top cover, but I think the bottom cover's more in tune with the book.
OK. From what I can tell from the publication information, the "comic book" cover was a special, semi-limited edition. The more classic cover was just released a few weeks ago.
-
and thank you all for the good thoughts and congratulations on the Vixter's behalf
-
I figured out the resizing but the upload file is still full - I thought it had been emptied since Jose was able to post pictures
I'm not uploading the pics. I'm linking to them.

well I am still fighting off this cold and it's beena looooooooong day so it is beddy bu=ye time for this girl
-

I'm not uploading the pics. I'm linking to them.
So I would have to post the pictures somewhere else on the web and then link to that?
Well that will never happen, I am lucky I figured out how to post them here!
-
night night!
-
WHOA!
I just saw some footage on the news of an auto accident that occurred earlier this afternoon. A car drove right into a restaurant - right at 100th and Broadway. I guess I won't be dining at Indus Valley anytime soon, and I'm glad that the car did not run into the apartment building next door where a couple of my friends live.

I told 'em so!

Holy moly it's going to be in the low 20s tonight. I haven't been paying attention to the weather. DR Ginny, get ready to get cold!
-
DINNER IMPOSSIBLE question - Is the "Alcatraz shower room" anything like the "Tresemme Hair Salon?"
-
DINNER IMPOSSIBLE question - Is the "Alcatraz shower room" anything like the "Tresemme Hair Salon?"
Only if and when you drop the soap.
-
And especially if you're up against the Blue-Sky-dot-com wall
-
Just finished proofing the new booklet and inlay card - looks swell.
-
Let's not even touch the Aveeno inlay card
-
Had a full evening of viewing entertainment. I began with the last of the films in the Rialto boxset, a very strange little story of a donkey called Balthazar. It was a downer certainly, but I finally caught on to what Bresson was doing with the film. I appreciated it more than I liked it. It won't be one I'll be revisiting again.
-
Next, I began watching THUNDERBALL on Blu-ray. Looks fabulous, by far the best it's ever looked on home video. I only got 15 chapters in, so if I get time tomorrow before prime time Tv starts, I'll start on Chapter 16 in the film.
-
So...
Are you Practicing Safe Policy (http://practicesafepolicy.com/index.php)?
If not - or even if you are - just click on the above link to insure your protection.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
At 9 I watched TRUE BLOOD "live," and it's just so mesmerizing. I've really gotten involved with all of these characters, and we had a new one introduced tonight that was quite a surprise.
-
Next, I watched tonight's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. Best episode of the season. Every housewife's backstory and current story was interesting and held my attention completely. Tonight's show will give further impetus for storylines for the rest of the season.
I was irritated that the gay couple was again totally wasted.
-
I only had time left to watch about 15 minutes of BROTHERS & SISTERS, but I enjoyed what I saw. I'm sure I can figure out where the Kevin story is going even before it happens, but I'm still looking forward to seeing the rest of this tomorrow.
-
And tomorrow (or at some point during the week), I'll catch up with tonight's DEXTER and MAD MEN.
-
Unless KUNG FU PANDA arrives tomorrow (and it should have already been here), I'll work on THE BOYS IN THE BAND's new DVD release tomorrow. There are a fair number of bonus features on the disc, so it may take me a good portion of the afternoon and early evening to watch it all.
-
And how ironic! In today's BAND OF OUTSIDERS that I watched this afternoon, the three young leads take time in the middle of the movie to dance the Madison.
And in BOYS IN THE BAND tomorrow, the guys begin doing the "Fire Island Madison" right before Alan enters.
Two versions of the Madison in a 24 hour period! What a coincidence!
-
Can't do a WIZARD OF OZ page dance since the upload folder is full.
Consider this a Page Nine Dance anyway!!!

Heading down now to get some sleep.
Good night!
-
Just finished watching my Bollywood movie...the 1964 film MAGIC CARPET starring Azad, Chitra, Baghwan, and B.M. Vyas.
No to watch DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and THE AMAZING RACE.
-
Well, tomorrow is going to be a long day for me, so...
Goodnight.
-
Well, no one can say we didn't get to page nine. I'm done with my viewing - think I'll take a nice hot shower now.
-
How could I not see a film called Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I liked that too
I should hope so. ;)
I LOVE "The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert"...more than "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" which I just liked. But I saw "TAOP:QOTD" first so it seemed like "TWF,TFE,JN" was a copy.
-
WOW!!!!!
That was truly one of the best hours (well, 50 minutes) of television I've ever watched.

Earlier today, I watched last week's episode, but I'll wait until tonight's episode is available in hi-def on Comcast On Demand. :D

Gratuitous Post #250.
:)
