Love the story about "Forget-Me-Not Lane"! I have that on DVD.
And the word of the day is: FECKLESS!Annabelle was thrilled to be cast in the new play, even though it was a smallish part. She thought the others in the cast were fascinating people, and the story, about a housefull of people who band together to combat the apathy and aimless world around them, struck a nerve with her. She even loved the title - FECKLESS-Me-Not Lane!
And the word of the day is: FECKLESS!
Good MorningFANTASTIC!
Last night for dinner I had some tomato soup and a slice of rye bread with some cheddar cheese melted on top and a glass of gingerale
this morning for breakfast I had one poached egg, one small pork sausage, 5 button mushrooms, one slice of toasted rye bread with cream cheese and two glasses of milk
betterer and betterer!
Thank you all for the vibes!!

Ditto! :)
But I don't know if my copy is defective... I have to watch it on my computer. When I play it on my DVD player through my television, the sound doesn't work. :(
I just checked with blockbuster.com and they have Forget Me Not Lane available. I just added it to my queue

Ah, great minds, Larry and I had the same thought reading BK's wonderful notes today: Time for the autobiography. I too have the DVD of Forget-Me-Not Lane and it's wonderful! And BK's wonderful in it!
Life-changing books? Probably far-too many that I would say were influential in my life and career.
THE RETURN OF TARZAN...the first Tarzan book I ever read and the book that probably started my book-collecting mania. There are now over five thousand books in the collection.
SHE...by H. Rider Haggard. My favourite book of all time. I have over thirty variant editions including two firsts. Haggard stirs deep waters and spills his sub-conscious all over the page.
GOODNIGHT, SWEET PRINCE...Gene Fowler's bio of John Barrymore
CYRANO DE BERGERAC
RICHARD III...Paul Murray Kendall's bio of the much-maligned king.
A PICTORIAL HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN THEATRE...probably stoked my imagination more about the theatre than anything.
THE GREEN MAN...by Henry Treece...dark, bleak interpetation of the Amleth or Hamlet myth with unique characterizations of Arthur and Beowulf.
Just a few...

And I added it to my Netflix queue.
And as for lunch: two stalks of celery, a banana, a granny smith apple, and a small container of yogurt.* Not a Morning Bun or Chocolatine in sight. ;)

I can't think of any book that "changed my life,"....
Except that I have been comparing and contrasting my 4 recordings of Leonard Bernstein's Mass.
In other news...
I think I'm going to head over to Banana Republic and do some shopping. One of the members of the cast was giving out "Friends & Family" discount cards today, and since I also have a $50 gift card to use up, well... If I've done my math correctly, I can pick up a new pair jeans for about $5.00. :)

TOD:
The Joy Luck Club, by Amy Tan, one of the first books that made me cry. It provided the name for the book group I started when Rob was in kindergarten that's still going strong.
Perhaps Laura DR will regale us with amazing photographs.
DR Michael Barnum, if DC Freddy goes missing again I have another option of places to search. (http://news.aol.com/article/cat-found-in-couch/381253) After you open the article scroll down for the video.
Dear MBarnum: Yes I do think that I love it here.

Dear George: I love the word anal retentive, use it when ever I can.
Dear MBarnum: Yes I do think that I love it here.
Dear Vixmom: I'm glad that you talk about what is happening with your health, it makes it easier to go through.
I believe the topic of the day is a favorite book.. I just have a story.
I was never much of a reader, when I came to this country I did not speak a word of English. In those days when you went to school there was no bilingual education. I failed English every year till the 5th grade (and kids can be quite mean, so I just kept to myself). Even though I lived with my sister and her GI husband, I was still a German.
Then I moved to California, and no one even asked where I was from. I become like everyone else.
Blended and generic.
Along comes my then boyfriend's older brother and his college friends, (one of which I would marry 20 years later) and at a party one night they asked what do you read, I said I don't. Before I left that night to go home, I had a armfull of paperback books, and was told I could not come back till I read them all.
I did read them all, and still keep in contact with most of the guys and their families.
Time for to eat some dinner...bought me some fried chicken at Wal-mart.
After doing the long jog I went directly to the editing room. I did the handful of fixes, built the main and end titles, and the came home. I got home at one-twenty. I was about to go to this here site when I noticed that the cable modem lights were not blinking correctly and I knew that Time Warner was once again down. I thought for a moment that maybe it had just lost signal, so I did what they always suggest (even thought the Airport/Time Machine was a solid green) - I unplugged the modem's power, waited a minute, then plugged it back in. It was immediately clear that Time Warner was down, because now not only were the lights blinking erratically, but the Airport/Time Machine was now blinking amber, which means it wasn't getting any signal.
I'm SO annoyed right now. I did have a good pastrami sandwich. I really find it hard to write and post on the laptop these days - because, yes, I now have the new 24inch iMac, which I'm totally in love with. Let's just say I pulled a few strings and after said pulling of strings the new iMac was mine.
DR Cilla a treat once in awhile is ok. Vibes you will soon be wearing the new clothes.
Except that I have been comparing and contrasting my 4 recordings of Leonard Bernstein's Mass.
