Well, you've read the notes, the notes were arranged, and now it is time for you to post until the arranged cows come home.

And the word of the day is: COETANEOUS!
-
BK, I LOVE Christiane Noll's CD!
-
Although, it was one that I didn't get as soon as (or shortly after) it was released...get as in "purchase," not "understand." I don't remember why, though.
-
Well, last night's performance of Jesus Christ Superstar had a singing Jesus! Jamie still wasn't at 100%, and some of the higher lines were rewritten to not be so high, but he sounded good, otherwise. I'm glad I got to see it again.
-
bk, sorry you have a headache.
Don't you think it would be worth it to pay someone to come in for an hour and teach you how to work it on your computer so that you could print out address labels and not have to write everything out by hand? Especially since you're looking to expand the Kritzerland release schedule?
-
Very interesting notes again today. :)
-
Enjoyed today's notes. It was nice to get a little more background on this recording.
I remember we talked about some years ago and asked you if you were to do a MALE version or a GAY version what songs would you choose? And you said the same songs. And realized you were right.

BK, the concept "relationship" album sounds fascinating. I don't suppose it is available for purchase anywhere anymore...
My favourite albums of the nineties and 2000's are, of course, my Guy Haines albums and my Johnny Hartman albums.
-
Good Morning!
TOD: I'll admit I don't think of albums by decades anymore (with the exception of "Annie Get Your Gun," "My Fair Lady," and "South Pacific" whick got me all through my early child hood and Fred Astaire 78's and Petula Clark 45's which got me all through later years).
I guess I'd have to say it would be Bruce's CD's (Jason, Liz, Guy, etc., etc, etc.)
-
A fellow cabaret lover and I would take turns playing different music in the store where I worked in 2001-2004, and we often played "A Broadway Love Story" in the store on the days we opened. We'd have Liz Callaway Day or Doris Day Day or Jason Graae Day or Diva Day. What fun!

I'm off-- I'm going to meet a friend at breakfast to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, it's a long drive, but it will be nice to see her.

Good morning, all! I've been dealing with libretto fixes this morning and now I'm ready to work on my Main Report; the editor is doing a wonderful job and wearing me out with the rewrites. The good thing is that he's not inside the materials so if something doesn't make sense to him, it will be the same to an interested but uninformed reader.
I was both dazed and amused at the ending to LIFE ON MARS; I loved the show and I'm sorry to see it end. I hope next week is not the ultimate finish for LIFE.
TOD:
Most of the albums I worked on and that's quite a few; I won't mention the ones I never listen to!
1990s
Guy Haines' albums
The complete FOLLIES from originating from the Papermill performances
Offenbach's Orphee aux enfers with Natalie Dessay
2000's
Susan Egan's "Coffee House" and "Susan Egan Live"
Rebecca Luker's "Leaving Home"
The unreleased PHI recordings of BABES IN TOYLAND, OH LADY LADY!, THE LADT OF THE SLIPPER, and HAVE A HEART - I'm told there will be a release. Soon. Again.
Several of the Ohio Light Opera recordings: THE CHOCOLATE SOLDIER, VERONIQUE, THE VAGABOND KING
Offenbach: Entre Nous, La Belle Helene and La Grande Duchesse de Gerolstein, both with Felicity Lott

Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And the rain did indeed start back up again last night here in Charleston. However, I have to say the sound of the rain was quite lulling, and I had a very good night's sleep. And since I did not have to head out earlier this morning for a production meeting.. :)
-
Good morning!
More rain tthis morning, but it's clearing a bit right now. It's supposed to start up again late this afternoon, but at least the weekend is supposed to be pretty.

I was sort of sad to see Life on Mars end last night.....
I was, too. I have thoroughly enjoyed the show, and I think the cast has the same kind of dazzling chemistry that THE CLOSER cast shares. I will very much miss seeing these actors working together on this entertaining and involving series.
-
I'm with you, DR Elmore, in keeping my fingers crossed about LIFE. Its chances aren't good, but it's not completely hopeless. The show does have some champions within the executive branch of NBC/Universal.
Were this show on CBS, it would be a top ten hit. NBC just doesn't have anything to put on at 8 p.m. that can bring a curious audience to LIFE at 9. And the shows that have been on at 8 (KNIGHT RIDER, CHOPPING BLOCK) were dismal lead-in paired with a flip cop procedural.
-
OOOHH!!!
Liz Callaway is about since on "The Today Show"!!!
-It's part of Kathie Lee Gifford's and David Friedman's "Everyone Has A Story" series.

My favorite CD of the 1990s? Probably ASSASSINS (original off-Broadway cast). I consider this one of the great Sondheim scores, and I never tire of playing the original version. The cast's voices give me chills everytime I play this CD.
Favorite CD of the 2000s? Probably HAIRSPRAY. I'd guess I've played it the most of the cast recordings. If not that, then WICKED.
-
I'll probably start working on HAWAII FIVE-O - Season Six today unless something else more pressing comes in the mail. Always enjoy this show, and Paramount has done a good job remastering the old films so that they don't look their age.
-
I haven't gotten around to watching the IDOL results show from last night, but I read on-line this morning who was sent home, and it couldn't be more deserved! I'm assuming Anoop was the third one in the bottom three?
-
Somehow I keep thinking that Hawaii Five-Oh, was a Quinn Martin production - until I watch an episode and don't see the Act Breaks.....
I really liked Martin's Caribe which ran for about one season with Stacy Keach. I also like Barnaby Jones, of course.

In a continuation of William F. Orr Doesn't Recognize Celebrity, previous episodes of which can be recounted to you by vixmom with much bemusement, I spent about two hours talking to John Cage and only learned at the end of the evening with whom I had been chatting. Sometime in 1972 in Milwaukee.
-
LOL I have never heard of that song or that singer.

;D
Upon which he promptly composed a new piece entitled "120' 00" - More or Less"
Of course you meant More ORR Less
-
LOL I have never heard of that song or that singer.
It's a rip off of the classic Jobim tune Waters of March.
-
Which of course leads me to my endlessly repeated anecdote of the night Sergio Mendes & Brasil '77, who first recorded the song in the US, did it live on the Tonight Show and Bonnie Bowden went completely up on the lyric. Since it's a stream of consciousness thing, with an endlessly repeating melody, she just stood there humming for a minute or two as Gracinha continued to sing the lyric, looking a bit exasperated. It was hilarious.
-
I'm curious if Steve Allen came up with his catchword courtesy of Nelson Riddle's middle name.
-
Of course you meant More ORR Less
Wish I had thought of it!! :D

I just downloaded a version of John Cage's "4' 33" " from iTunes!

Actually they do. At least in the original version. ;) -And there are two "official" versions: the original, and a revised.
-
HA!
I just downloaded a version of John Cage's "4' 33" " from iTunes!
Do the three movements download as separate tracks? :)
And since "4'33" - I. Tacet" was part of iTunes Free Discovery Download series, I'm wondering if it was meant as an April Fool's joke. Prolly.
*And I do recommend checking out the Free Downloads on iTunes each week (each Tuesday). There's usually one "pop" download, one "Discovery Download", and one video - in addition to the free movie trailers and TV-show clips. It's been an easy way to check out some artists and types of music I might have not otherwise considered. -And the "Discovery Download" even features a "vocal" and "classical" track every now and then.

Quote from: William F. Orr on Tuesday 03/31/09 08:03:31
TOD: When I saw the 25th revival of West Side Story, both Riff and Tony were out that night, and I saw the understudies, who I thought were fabulous. I didn't realize until I was going through my Playbills a few years ago that the Tony I saw was Brent Barrett, also known hereabouts as the Sexiest Man Alive, and the Riff was Jerry Kolker, also known hereabouts as What ever happened to Jerry Kolker?
So you see, some of us do read the notes, BK, so you needn't get all tetchy.
First of all, Brent Barrett is known as the "World's Sexiest Man Alive" and secondly, could your Jerry Kolker be the same Jerry Colker who co-wrote the musical, Three Guys Naked From The Waist Down, with the lovely Michael Rupert?
Yes. And yes. But why limit BB to the world?
My memory of Jerry Colker:
When I went to the first meeting of my class in the Lehman Engel BMI Workshop, and we were picking composer-lyricist teams for our first assignment, I was disappointed to learn that Jerry Colker was a lyricist, not a composer. Because he was hot. Spelled H. O. T. Not just hot, but !!‼ HOT !!‼
Well, Jerry never came back to Workshop after that first day. :-[ He got the part of Lewis in Pippin where Michael Rupert was playing Pippin, and went thence to 3 Guys and thence to Whatever Happened to Jerry Colker? Status
-
And speaking of DR MBarnum...
bk - Do you think that DR MBarnum would like "Dream Lover"?

Does it feature unclad bodybuilders or possess Bollywood numbers?
Well, and I quote from bk's Notes:
"but the men and young men in this film are terrible – every one of them."
;D
-
Did someone say free? Do you have to have an iTunes account?
-
And speaking of Jerry Colker:
The YODO Total Fitness System Created by Jerry Colker (http://yodo.org/jerrycolker.htm)
"JERRY COLKER
I'll start at the beginning of my journey.
At Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, I was an All-League gymnast.
I then competed in gymnastics for Harvard University.
In fact, I alone, was the entire Harvard gymnastics team, but that's another story.
I came to New York, determined to perform on Broadway and so I immersed myself in ballet and jazz dance classes with the top teachers in the city: Joffrey Ballet, Finish Jhung, Don Farnworth, Luigi, Rhett Dennis and others. I had the good fortune of working with Bob Fosse in "Pippin," Michael Bennett in "A Chorus Line," and I played the role of "Riff" in the Broadway revival of "West Side Story" for Jerome Robbins. Coming back to Los Angeles, I studied Kung Fu and T'ai Chi with James Wing Woo. I then earned my black belt in Tae Kwon Do studying with Jun Chong and Philip Rhee. For many years I also tutored, coached and taught gymnastics and martial arts."...
OMG!!!!! :)
But that's a good "OMG". I think. ;D
*And there are pics and video clips too! ::)
-
Did someone say free? Do you have to have an iTunes account?
You do have to have an iTunes account, but the free downloads are just that, Free.
-
So, now that we know that Jerry Colker is alive and well and living in Los Angeles...
And I think I've told this story before, but...
When Virginia Commonwealth University decided to mount a production of Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down, the director and I tried to contact Michael Rupert and Jerry Colker since we wanted to see if they were interested in writing some updates to the script and score - mainly for the "American Dream" sequence which was basically a musical time-travel sequence. We got a hold of Michael, but no one could find Jerry Colker. No one. We even got a hold of his original agent at William-Morris, and he had no idea where he was.
Well... Thanks to Google... :)

TOD:
I would have to say that the 1990's album I've probably played the most is a tie between William Finn's Falsettoland [ paired with the 1981 Off-Broadway cast recording of March of the Falsettos ], another show by the same composer, A New Brain, and Sondheim's Passion.
From the 2000's, probably Wicked has been the most-played. I'm not sure it's even necessarily that great, but it is addictive. :)
-
That Birdie cast just seems - I don't know.
-
Does Bye Bye Birdie really NEED to be revived? I am scared thinking about the "improvements" and "updating" that will take place.
-
Helper is late and I've been addressing myself - I've probably done almost half the packages.
-
Maybe they need Carroll Baker in there as Mae Peterson. Now THAT I would want to see.

Does the Illya Darling vocal selections book include the music for the Medea Tango?

Me, too, since I really liked the Encores! revival a couple of years ago, In defense of Roundabout, which I consider a demolisher of good revivals, I do like Bobby Longbottom's work and he usually works with the wonderful David Chase.

Yes indeed, you told it here a couple of years ago, and there was some discussion of the Amazing Disappearing Musical Writer. I did a bit of Googling then and could find nothing but mention of a little work he did writing for television, but nothing recent.
So thank you , Jose, for discovering Jerry's re-emergence. I must say, he looks very much like he did thirty years ago. I think about half the audience swooned when he made his entrance in Pippin. Which is better than what happened to Mike Rupert that night: when he made his entrance a very rude queen smack in the center of the orchestra section screamed out, "He's Jewish!"
Since my everloving Joe had two herniated disks last November, it might indeed be worth e-mailing Mr. Colker...

I really enjoyed last night's show. IT was interesting to fill in some of the blanks
about kate and what happened with aaron. And also finding out the reason she
decided to go back. Good reason! The part that confused me a bit was the end
with older ben and locke. Is that supposed to be 2007? Are they in the present
or the past? It was pretty cool though seeing ben's reaction at seeing locke again.

We are still on Heron Watch. Luckily, I have an electric outlet in the backyard.

Good Afternoon!
Greetings from the Offices/Rehearsal Studios of Charleston Stage.
I was able to run a couple of errands while en route, and I only had to deal with only one almost-flooded out road on the way here. I'm hoping it stays "almost-flooded out" when I return to my apartment later tonight.

Is that handy for the blender to make the margaritas, or to operate the cattle prod?

William F. Orr, DR Sandra just read your message in Esperanto and says dankon.

DR WFO - You're very welcome.
-And there's nothing like hearing that Pippin story directly from Michael Rupert - and watching him relive that moment in his face. ;)

It runs the karaoke machine on Friday nights.

Laura DR, is there some sort of fine mesh netting that could be suspended slightly above the surface of the fish pond that wouldn't block visually but would still deter theft?

I'll have to come up with something, DAW. I chased it away hours ago, and it is sitting in the neighbor's tree, just waiting for me to go inside. Sandra has squirted it twice.

Finally finished addressing and will now go get some lunch.

I'll have to come up with something, DAW.
Have you considered karaoke? ;)
-
Oh dear, I just watched the remake of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL.
I wish they had called it something else and started with a different premise. So many of the decisions they made really destroyed the brilliance of the original screenplay. Casting of Jaden Smith didn't help.

Alphabetical Musicals Project:
I finished Dance a Little Closer this morning on my way into work. For those of you who don't know it (it ran one night on Broadway), you may know some of the songs from the above-mentioned Alan J. Lerner Album. It contains some other gems. There is "Mad", where Lerner displays some of the verbal pyrotechniques you know from "Come Back to Me."
And there is also "I Don't Know/Anyone Who Loves", what one is wont to call "ahead of its time". A debate between an Anglican priest and others on same-sex marriage, one of the grooms being played by the above-mentioned World's Sexiest Man Alive. I don't think this scene was in the original Sherwood Anderson play Idiot's Delight, on which it is based, or in the Clark Gable movie.
Next, the alphabet will be temporarily interrupted as I listen to the four Kritzerland CDs that arrived yesterday. I tremble with antici

I was sort of sad to see Life on Mars end last night.....
I was, too. I have thoroughly enjoyed the show, and I think the cast has the same kind of dazzling chemistry that THE CLOSER cast shares. I will very much miss seeing these actors working together on this entertaining and involving series.
I'll miss it too, but I sort of like the idea of a series that runs for so long and ends. It stays fresh the entire time
Well, it could have run two or three years and likely have remained fresh. Most shows start to peter out after that time unless they can reinvent themselves (as LOST and '24' have been able to do). Not everything has to run as long as ER or LAW & ORDER.
-
I could not disagree more about Megan on AMERICAN IDOL. She sounded like a bleating goat last night, completely and totally unbearable, and most weeks she hasn't sounded much better whether well or ill. She was my least favorite singer since the finals started.
-
I underdressed for my lunch outing today. Got in the restaurant where ceiling fans were running, and I got very chilly. I hadn't worn a jacket, only a long sleeved shirt, and it wasn't enough.
-
When I got in, I began watching HAWAII FIVE-O. The season premiere had to do with an assassin with hooks for hands. He had marked four police officers as being responsible for robbing him of his hands (naturally, he himself was to blame, not them).
-
The second episode was unusual and very entertaining concerning a psychotic who read a comic strip about a young girl being at the mercy of thieves and thugs each morning and believed what he was reading was true, so he set out to be a guardian angel to the girl and went on a killing spree wiping out people who resembled the bad guys in the comic strip.
Audrey Totter was a guest star but really not in a principal part; she only had one scene.
-
I only got halfway through the third episode but it concerns bubonic plague being brought into Hawaii from a European boat carrying rats infested with fleas carrying the disease. McGarrett went on board investigating and now must be quarantined.
-
BTW, James MacArthur still looks dreamy. These episodes are from 1974-75.
-
DR LAURA that heron has GUILT written all over his beak.
Yes, DR MATT H - James MacArthur is the main reason i like the movies THE LIGHT IN THE FOREST and THIRD MAN ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Greetings from Columbus, OH! My half-day workshop for new researchers was quite worthwhile. Chillin' in my room until it's time to meet the group to go to dinner at Cheesecake Factory.

It's a beautiful day to sit outside. I have seen five species of butterflies and two species of first of season (FOS in nature-watcher language) dragonflies. Plus something you don't see every day -- ladybug larvae:

Well, I have a few computer items to tidy up and then I'll head down to pick back up with McGarrett and company in Hawaii.

The gay couple in DANCE A LITTLE CLOSER was a newlywed couple in the original play. One of the lousiest muasicals I have ever seen, I was in shock at how inept the musical was. Leading lady Liz Robertson, who was the latest Mrs Lerner, was part of the problem as the mysterious lady: she sounded like Julie Andrews doing a Cyd Charisse impersonation.

I love LAW & ORDER and all the franchises, but ER has gone on far too long for me to give a damn. I also wonder if there might have been a different solution to the end of LIFE ON MARS if they suddenly hadn't had the need to provide one by its cancellation.

Well I now have a tube in my right ear and according to thr hearing test I have about 80% hearing in that ear now. Since I had 0% before I am quite pleased.

My dad saw the oncology orthopedist and seemed to like him very much. He is scheduled for surgery on the 14th - they will take the growth out and biospy it all at once. Thank you all for the VIBES!

Here's the real question - what ISN'T moving to Broadway? According to every producer of every show being done in every town everywhere, everything is moving to Broadway.

At least you talked to him for 2 hours! Better than when I cold shouldered Jason Robards after Shadowlands because he wasn't Nigel Hawthorne. Vixdad was incredulous

Glad that you are hearing and posting and feeling pretty good, Vixmom! Vibes for your father!

Victoria Mallory and Kurt Peterson played Tony and Maria in the Lincoln Center summer production of WEST SIDE STORY before he went off to DEAR WORLD and she went into FOLLIES. They were a romantic couple as well, but I understand their breakup occurred because of one of her leading men in a Sondheim musical. She later left the leading man and married Mark Lambert, who played Henrik in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. I haven't seen Kurt in over ten years. When I first got to NYC, he was coaching singer and still performing.
I wonder if that photo of them from the late 1960s is a Ken Duncan photo?

Actually, my production of GUYS AND DOLLS is not moving to Broadway. Although, considering the reviews of the current Broadway show, it might be an improvement

Thank you elmore for clearing that up for me. BTW, why didn't I think to call you the other night when the director, the music director, and I were all trying to figure out the basis for the line, "The sheeps eye and the lickerish tooth." You could have contacted your close and personal friend Jo Loesser.

Poor Larry, Poor Dog,
I don't know how the situation should be handled, and I don't wish the dog ill; it never backs when the tenant is home. I would like to know if other tenants are complaining.
On those nights - and they're happening too often - when it barks from 11pm to 1am or later, I want the dog dead.
-
I'm back at my computer. Keith has hooked up a new mouse. We both think the old one was causing the problem.

Does your neighbor work at night? I hope the dog isn't being left alone day & night.

This morning we had a pair of mallards, a pair of geese, and a blue heron in our back yard. Keith went outside to chase the heron & the geese away. The heron flew into a tree and the geese ignored him.

Hello, From Tuscon:
Sorry I haven't been on-line the past few days, bit DSL Extreme (AVOID THEM) accidentally cut off my Internet access early then wouldn't reconnect it.
Anyway, escrow has closed in both Los Angeles & Austin.
We left for Austin this morning at 5:30 and, after 9 hours on the road, we are now in our hotel. The animals are a bit shook up, but they seem to be settling down.
Tomorrow, we head for El Paso (with a short stop in Tombstone, so that I can visit the O.K. Corral). We will arrive in Austin Monday morning.
Funny, after 45 years there, I never thought I'd ever leave Los Angeles.
-
BK, I forgot to mention: I have a youthful fondness for 3 Sailors & A Girl. Still remember the tunes and words to a couple of said mediocre songs: "You better kiss me, kiss me, kiss me or I'll scream!" and "home is where the heart is, wherever you may roam." I also remember Burt Lancaster's cameo.

And on that note (B-flat), I'm going home.
Until later. :)
-
Congratulations to DRs AJ and Samantha - Aunt Cillaliz must be very proud!
I am very very proud of both of them. I'll pass on the congrats to them
-
Here's the real question - what ISN'T moving to Broadway? According to every producer of every show being done in every town everywhere, everything is moving to Broadway.
Yes, perhaps so, and some of them deserve to get there.
And there are actually some available theaters now to house them, too.
-
DR Elmore, according to the producers of LIFE ON MARS, that ending was always the intended ending. They just didn't know when they'd be using it. They also had a different story to use as a season finale if the show had been picked up for another season. I guess we'll never get to see that sequence.
-
I continued watching more HAWAII FIVE-O episodes. That bubonic plague one had Bert Convy as the primary guest star along with Nehemiah Persoff.
-
Another had to do with this family of serial killers headed by Slim Pickins and Barbara Baxley. Bo Hopkins was their son.
-
We're under a winter storm watch for the weekend. We could get 7-12 inches of snow...yikes!
-
Next, I watched last night's LIFE. Very good episode that I didn't guess completely the identity of the murderer.
-
Tonight's BONES was a very good episode, and the murderer's identity was a total surprise.
I DO not like that particular intern.
-
Good Evening!
Another good rehearsal. We started deconstructing Act 1 and then started putting it back together. Almost. There are still a couple of things to fine tune, but we have the time for that work. The cast is learning the truth in the adage: Dying is easy, Comedy is hard.
-
DR George - Was that King Herod or Mimi from "The Drew Carey Show"? Or both?
-
Congratulations to DR Sam!!!
-
DR vixmom - I guess you can hear me now! :)
-
DR TCB - Do you still need to know the origin of that lyric?
-
DR Ginny - It's on my Facebook page? Really? Hmmm...
-
SUPERNATURAL had a fabulous episode tonight. They have really been on a roll this season.
-
In other news...
It's still raining here in Charleston. In fact, we're dealing with some brief thunderstorms, and some "light" flooding. On the drive back to the apartment, I actually had to stop to let a family of frogs hop across the road in front of me. I've never seen that before.
-
Has DR Jose taken to doing drugs?
...But they come in such pretty colors!
::)
-
DR Druxy - Good to hear that the escrow has closed on both houses. Continued Safe Travels to you, your wife, and your pets.

Here's the real question - what ISN'T moving to Broadway? According to every producer of every show being done in every town everywhere, everything is moving to Broadway.
Well... When it comes down it, I think I'd rather pass a theatre where a show is up and running, rather than a dark one. Walking down 44th Street this past January and February was truly depressing. And regardless of what some may consider "foolishness", if there are producers willing to put up the money to put on a show, more power to them! It's always nice to have some "believe" in you and your work. -Especially in this current economic climate.
-
bk - As for addressing those envelopes...
Since your orders come in via e-mail, you could "simply" cut and paste the names and addresses into a document, then format them to go into a database. -You just add commas as a "delimeter" between the name and each line of the address. Printed addresses also get processed faster at the Post Office since the machines can scan them - and not have to be hand-scanned and sorted. And as DR JMK has noted before, you can even use the USPS's own online mailing tools to handle the addressing, postage and bar-coding. I'm sure you could find a local "helper" to help you with that.
-
I forget...
Which DRs went to Hamilton High School in Los Angeles? -Since that is where Jerry Colker went to high school.
-
I am heading downstairs now to go to bed.
Good night!

In other news...
I borrowed one of the vacuum cleaners from the theatre offices so that I could tidy up the carpet here at the apartment. When I started it up earlier today, I noticed that it really wasn't doing much of anything. The motor was running, but the brushes weren't spinning and the contents of the canister just seemed to be sitting there. It turned out that the belt was broken and that the canister and filter appeared not to have been cleaned out in a while, probably never. So, after a run to K-Mart to purchase a new belt, installing it and cleaning out the canister and filters, I started it back up. Everything seemed to be working fine now, but after a few seconds, I noticed that the canister had already filled up again. Hmmm... So, I emptied it out again. Then started it back up again... Then emptied it out again. Apparently, there was a lot of "stuff" that had built up inside the vacuum over the past year or so. That's when I noticed that there was another filter in the top of the canister, a round one. I took it out, placed it inside a small garbage bag, gave it a knock, and this "donut of dirt" fell out.
Needless to say, the vacuum cleaner really(!) works now.

What a wonderful thing!

I hope you waved when you drove through Phoenix, DR Druxy!
I did. Did you wave back?
-
Vibes to Ginny and Vixmom...

I am still near Grand Forks and I will only take a few things back to my apartment due to the upcoming second crest which is supposed to be as high as the first in less then two weeks.
I have gone through and cleaned and repacked most of the stuff that was hastily moved. I will clean what is left before moving everything back on. Oh well... spring cleaning will be done early this year. :)
Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and words... You are gems.....
however, the battle is not over. The southern part of the valley had another two feet of snow and that has to melt. It has been a bizarre winter.

I am sorry to hear about the cancellation of Guiding Light. I wont get to see Ron Raines and several other actors I enjoyed after September 18

Jane, PennyO, and I all went to Hami High. And, of course, so did Benjamin Kritzer, for those who've read the books, especially Kritzer Time, most of which takes place there.
-
Back from the session - went very smoothly after the musical director realized I was a pro and knew exactly what I was doing. You see, he'd just had a horrendous experience working with the "producer" who did the recent recording - many amusing stories were told. Our engineer was great - he used to be an assistant and worked on several of my albums, and he knew exactly what I wanted to hear and delivered the goods - so, I'd be very comfortable using him again, as Vinnie is so busy these days with his Pro Tools movie gigs he barely has time to do anything else.

Thanks Dakota, glad to see you here. You've been in my thoughts, I can't believe the amount of snow and rain you've gotten up north. I don't blame you a bit for staying out of the apartment for awhile. Did you have any water in your apartment? Will you be able to get more out of there, just in case
-
a little tiny bit of seepage...
Fans are at work drying it... So far so good. I will go back and stay for work but Will keep suitcase and car keys handy if I have to get out fast.
-
Belated Bday greetings to Ann!

DR George - Was that King Herod or Mimi from "The Drew Carey Show"? Or both?
I think that it's a Queen-Mimi-inspired King Herod. ;)
-

Finished the notes and shall now sit here like so much fish.

I just watched last night's series finale of "Life on Mars." I liked the ending. Simple, but it's a better ending than how I read that the original British version ended.
-
Caught up on the final episode of LIFE ON MARS. Not certain I understood the ending, but no matter what, I sure did love that show! I will miss it.
