Well, I couldn't stop watching until I finished the final episode of season two - and I'm just a little surprised that our Lost fanatics here didn't see the connection between BK and the final episode - and it's a really REALLY obvious one, so skammen. All you twist lovers, and surprise lovers, and no one noticed that some writer on this show has to be a fan of a little motion picture called The Creature Wasn't Nice aka Spaceship aka Naked Space - and let me tell you, it is no coincidence, since all the writers on this show would have come of age watching cable in the mid-1980s when our little movie was running all the time. Now, who can tell me the connection? C'mon, o you Lost experts. It should especially be obvious to those who have been regulars on this here site and who've known its various and sundried denizens, both old and new. We await.

Season Two? I can't remember back that far...

I don't know from LOST.

Last night 3/4's of the way through rehearsal, everyone went crazy and acted as though they had never had a rehearsal of the material.
It was most frustrating and horrible. And everyone stopped and looked at me like I should know what they were doing or for confirmation that the WRONG thing they were doing was right.
The pit was awful, the sound was bad.....
It was the worst rehearsal I have ever conducted. Then the missed entrances started.....
I have to go at 9 am to set the lights - drive for 45 minutes....so I am not coming home until after rehearsal, so I will be at the theatre all day.
Most depressing. If I ever say here that I want to direct another musical, please tell me that I don't.

I was never into clothing fads, though I did have a rock 'n roll jacket back in junior high school.
I think I wore it once, then was too embarrassed to wear it again.
I'm strictly a jeans & t-shirt guy. Wear a tie only for a VERY special occasion.

My t-shirts, however, often make statements (e.g. "Theatre is Life. Film is Art. Television is Furniture.")

They are slowly opening outlets here in New York. I don't know if they have plans for other locations.
We just finished watching the original Forsyte Saga on Monday. It didn't take 26 weeks but it was still a wonderful experience. When it was over I felt a little melancholy. Of course I can watch them again but it was disconcerting that my experience with the Forsyte and Mont families was over. There is nothing like the first time.

Wow, for anyone who watched last night's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE
*

*
Wasn't brandon amazing? He's not really been my fav. But i thought he was by far the standout of the night. His solo (i have not cared for very many solos this year) was spectacular.
I will say that Nigel was right. I suspect the fans have been voting a lot for those dancers who stun with the amazing choreography, as opposed to just voting for a certain dancer. To me the obvious solution would be that the choreography have to be up a certain level. It's not fair that some dancers get amazing choreography and others don't.

BK, I'm curious, what was the LOST season 2 episode with the terrific ending?
You seem to be quite picky as a viewer so i'm very interested what caught your eye.

Thursday morning greetings! Hmm, did I forget to log out last night?
-
Today I'm going to spend a bit of time with my mom and my aunt. I feel a little guilty for not visiting them since we returned from Chicago.
-
Good morning!
I had the longest night's sleep in weeks, months even (almost 9 hours), and I really, really eneded it. It took me a long time to come out of it; I was as groggy as I've ever been when I got out of bed. I'm sure all of this is related to my health issues.
We had more rain last night, and late afternoon storms are in the forecast for today too since it's partly cloudy with temps getting to the high 80s today. Ugh!

SPOILER (though I think a spoiler at this stage of the game is RIDICULOUS since the show has been running so long and these episodes are YEARS old)
The season 2 finale found Michael bringing back Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Hurley to "The Others" in exchange for freedom for him and Walt to leave the island. There were learn "Henry Gale" aka Benjamin Linus was the real leader of "The Others." Hurley is allowed to leave to go back to warn the survivors not to try to rescue Jack, Kate, and Sawyer, and Michael and Walt sail off.

TOD: I had a pair of knee-high fringed suede moccasin boots in grade school. Mickey Dolenz or Peter Tork wore a pair like them on their TV show.
I have a tendency to avoid trends since I am not rendy and never looked good it what was in fashion/
I am my own fashion; I am my own trend. (Or some such thing.)

Today I will be working on another Fox Blu-ray which arrived after street date (their official policy as I have been informed):
MISS MARCH. It looks to be a frat boy comedy (my LEAST favoirite kind of movie), and the writer-directors are novices to moviemaking, so I have to say my preconceptions aren't positive ones, but I'll try to give it the benefit of the doubt until the groin and bodily fluid jokes become too numerous to ignore. At least it's only 90 minutes.
-
TOD:
My approach to clothing as always been comfort, not especially style. I have sensitive skin, so many things that have been in style over the decades just weren't of interest to me because to wear it would have been SO uncomfortable.
I did wear those double knit slacks (with flaired legs and wild kaleidoscopic patterns) when they were in style in the 70s but only because they were very comfortable on my legs, felt like silk almost.
-
I began my new exercise regimen today. Actually rehabilitation exercises to mend my "muscle breakage." The stretching and pulling has ease soreness and pain, but I can see that this will be a long process with no instant fix. As I said yesterday, I'm going to have to be very patient.

Good morning, all! My sleeping habits are a mess; I'm up way too long with the pain and I sleep too late in the morning. I have to make an emergency trip to the bank ASAP, although I'd rather not, and I would have preferred to make it an hour ago.
I've been analyzing my visit to Dr Simon, and I think I'm pissed that neither he nor my other doctor has recommended an MRI. I think the problem is related to a pinched nerve in my lower back and everyone's spinning their wheels in the sand. It certainly is easing up and maybe the ibuprofen has a great deal to do with it. Still, without the vicodin and relaxer, I'd be up the creek.
I've also sent Brent Barrett an email asking for a recording date. If it's really soon, I will have to back out since I'm really tied up until the 13th with the Library of Congress project. oy!

I believe the recording dates begin on September 8th. Since what's being asked of you is to basically write a rhythm chart and a solo instrument (at least that's my understanding), I can't imagine it would take much of your time, but what do I know?

I had an e-mail from a CD purchaser telling me she'd purchased two CDs from us and received them a month ago and that both of them arrived with "smashed" cases and that we should be more careful in how we ship. First of all, why did it take a month to write the e-mail? Second of all, I'm at a loss as to how to be more careful than using expensive cardboard boxes to ship CDs, other than encasing them in steel boxes. We obviously have no control over how the USPS manhandles them. Third of all, we've really only heard about two other cases of "smashed" cases, and since one of them involved six CDs, I asked them to return them, which he did, and I replaced them. Those six CD cases, which were described to me as "smashed to smithereens", had a couple of hairline cracks - that was the worst of it - and most of them only had one barely discernible hairline crack. It just makes you wonder - these handful of people never write to tell you they've enjoyed the CD, just that the cases arrived "smashed." Since this latest gal doesn't want to return them or get replacements, well, I can only imagine how "smashed" they really are.

Just had an e-mail from an auction house with prices realized for their movie poster auction. You would never know there's a recession on or that people are worried about money. A poster for the silent film Hollywood sold for almost ninety grand. A Gilda one-sheet (which I owned at one point - not this one, but one in excellent condition), sold for over thirty grand. And several others, including the Creature From The Black Lagoon, went for over twenty. Since it's never ever sold for over six grand, someone was a big, fat, totally idiotic idiot.

Since none of our Lost experts can figure it out - SPOILER
In the final episode of Lost Season Two there are flashbacks of Desmond and an army guy we've formerly seen with Sayid in Iraq. They are the then button pushers in the hatch. The army guy tells a story and in it he repeatedly invokes the name of his former hatch partner - Rodzinski. Coincidence? I don't think so. Of course, one of the two writers of the episode might be a classical music buff, but having seen them, I'd say the more than likely scenario is that they watched Spaceship repeatedly on its two years' worth of showings on USA when they were kiddies. I hear those stories all the time now - kids who grew up in the 1980s who, for reasons that have to do with age, love the film and can quote almost every line of it, especially those spoken by Gerritt Graham as - Rodzinski. The fact that one of our former beloved dear readers named himself after the character when posting here should have jogged some Lost expert's memory :)

I think trendy clothes are fun, that is what makes each decade's fashions unique and so enjoyable to look back at (except the 80s, which were hideous).
I did have a leisure suit, although I can't recall ever wearing it. I also had one pair of the popular SAN FRANCISCO jeans, during the early 80s. I also had a few rather wild patterned shirts in the early 70s. In the 80s I had the ever popular polo shirts in the popular pink and blue shades. Never did the baseball hat thing, until recently, and that is only when my hair gets long and unruly.
I don't stear clear of something just because it is trendy. If I like it and it looks good on me, I will wear it, trendy or not.

I now remember that about the name "Rodzinski"....I even took note of it when it aired....but had forgotten already.
Ah, the mind....
-
But I have been up for a while... I sat in bed for about 45 minutes while two women had a "serious" conversation about real estate practices right outside my window. Well, I thought they were right outside my window, but when I peeked out my window, it turned out that they were standing about 10 feet from my window. I guess some people just like to talk loud(ly). In any case...
I did get a kick hearing about just how much work, how many hours of work they needed to spend in the office each day to be successful. One woman thought three hours of office work was needed each day. Her friend thought only an hour a day was required. Umm... ::)

I remember that now too. However, I think with all the SPOILER worries, no one really mentioned it here on the site when the episode originally aired. Of course, with my background, the first "thing" that comes to mind is: "conductor". And in more recent(!) news, the retirement of the president of the Van Cliburn Competition.

I've noticed this trend, as well. I am absolutely STUNNED at the prices people are paying for lobby cards, stills, inserts and one-sheets. Some things are predictable (anything with Marilyn or Audrey Hepburn sells very well -- and if it's "Breakfast at Tiffany's", it sells HUGE...i.e. a single lobby card can fetch many hundreds of dollars), but some amazing bids have won some marginal things lately.
I've not been much affected by the recession (yet), but I've seen some "fair-to-good" items receive bids I'd have to think about for items in "very good-to-fine" condition.

So, BK, whattya think I could get for my Scarlet Claw poster?
-
Well, naturally I wore bell-bottom pants, which isn't so amusing. The amusing part is that when you're a 10-year old kid those bell-bottom pants would inevitably get caught in your bicycle chain, which was very annoying. I tore and ruined more than one bell-bottom pants this way. I also had moccasins, which I remember didn't last very long. I mean what do you expect from shoes that really have no sole? My favorite shoes were these psychedelic walking shoes that my dad hated and referred to as clown shoes. They were very 60's even though I bought them in the 70's. All my classmates were jealous of me when I wore them, which I loved because I was never very popular in school, but I was the toast of the town when I wore those ugly shoes. Fortunately, I never wore clogs, but one of my classmates did and when she kicked her leg up during recess, the clog flew off, hit another kid in the face, and knocked out two of his front teeth! Clogs were banned at my school from that day on. Now THAT'S what I call a wardrobe malfunction.
BRUCE, thank you so much for posting all the "What If" clips on YouTube! Mark and I loved that show and wanted to see again, but we saw it on the very last night, so we didn't get the chance. I completely forgot what all the song/composer pairings were. It was so much fun to see them again. We especially loved "Oklahoma" being presented as a trailer, Vince Lafontaine-style - hysterical!

On the last "Mary Tyler Moore" show, everyone was fired except Ted Baxter.
There...DEAL WITH IT!
This prompted me to try to remember as many finale episodes as I could - especially for sitcoms. According to my memory, not too many shows have planned finales - they just get cancelled without warning. I only remember that the Korean war ends in the finale for "Mash" (sorry for the spoiler!), I think Sam Malone closed the bar at the end of "Cheers" (is that right?), and Alex P. Keaton goes off to college at the end of "Family Ties." And I know that "Will and Grace" and "Everybody Loves Raymond" had special finale episodes as well. There must be others, but I can't think of any...anyone else remember any other finale episodes?

This was a planned finale?? Look, if you're just listing last episodes of shows that were cancelled abruptly without the writers getting the chance to write a special finale episode, those don't count!

When I got in from lunch, I sat down with today's work project: MISS MARCH.
I know every film can't be THE NUN'S STORY, SOME LIKE IT HOT, or SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (to mention a favorite drama, comedy, and musical of mine), but MISS MARCH was so lame, so stupid and intelligence draining that it might be thought to be hazardous to one's sanity. How does this stuff get greenlit?

Yep, that was planned. Amazingly enough, it was kept secret until the episode aired.
-
I just remembered two more. Everyone on "Seinfeld" goes to jail and Frasier moves to Chicago for a dame he just met.
-
I thought Fraser went to San Francisco. . .
-
I guess this movie wouldn't be popular at HHW. Groaning is not allowed at HHW, and I groaned for almost the entire 93 minutes of the moment. There was one well staged sequence: one of the leads falls down a stairwell and is dazed. Then a fishing tackle box falls on his head which knocks him out, and then the bookcase behind him tips over on top of him. The pratfall was beautifully performed by some valiant stunt person, and the timing of the two falling gags was perfect. I appreciated the construction of the scene.
Otherwise, though, everything was strained, feeble, gross, and a total turn-off. I'm not sure how I'm going to write much about something so pathetically bankrupt of wit, class, or talent.

Sorry, my bad. And does Newhart close the Stratford Inn in Vermont?
-
I thought Fraser went to San Francisco. . .
He was offered a job in San Francisco and was going to take it, but he changes his mind at the very end...because he's in love...awwwww. Or do I have the cities backwards?
-
I watched the bonus features which were also pretty well nothing. Some of their pals come in to audition for roles in the film, and we get to see four sets of auditions (all people unsuited for the parts they want).
There was also a faux entertainment news piece about the filthy music video that's in the movie.
I am forever grateful to the powers that be that there was no audio commentary with this so I didn't have to sit through it again.
-
There never was a Stratford Inn, Dr. Robert Harley dreamed it up. Still, he wishes his wife, Emily, would wear more sweaters, like his dream wife did. ;)
-
Then I watched today's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. Philip and Chance had their father/son talk which was interesting if more reserved than I expected it to be. Philip also had a good talk with his mother, a civil talk for a change without her hurling epithets at him.
-
Also watched the Luke scenes in AS THE WORLD TURNS. They didn't accomplish very much. Luke is still going to work for Damien.
-
And I skimmed through ONE LIFE TO LIVE, but there was no Kyle or Fish, so no interest for me.

Frasier moved to Seattle!

Okay, I had to call Mark on the phone for clarification. I didn't realize you were already referring to the second Newhart series when you first mentioned the Japanese food - hence my confusion. I thought it was Dr. Robert Hartley in the original series who ate the Japanese food. Oops! Mark tells me even Suzanne Pleshette appeared in that finale. That must have been funny - I wish I had seen it.

Oh, Amy! You must, simply MUST see the series finale of NEWHART! (not THE BOB NEWHART SHOW, though Emily Hartley's appearance makes it that finale as well in a post-modern way)! It's one of the most humorous episodes of any television series, what with the Japanese coming into Vermont to build a golf course and of course, the "Japanese food before bed" routine.
-
I'm hopping off-line to try to pull some words out of my brain to make a semi-sensible write-up of MISS MARCH. This is the hardest part of the job, I find, and unlike some who enjoy poking at poor films, I find it a disagreeable project.

Yes, Mark says it's one of the most famous finales ever. He thinks I might be able to find it on YouTube or something like that. I'll try. Hmmmm..."Japanese food before bed"...sounds like a BRUCE KIMMEL song. No wait...that's "Chinese Food in Bed." Sorry.

Maybe she was "smashed."

Back from my travels - picked up tapes, listened to some of them, made the decision to transfer anew from the album masters for our next release. But, and this is amazing, they included the mono tape on this title, which I presumed was simply the mono album master, which, of course, is pointless and useless, but what they turned out to be are the original mono film tracks (the album was a rerecording). Unbelievable. Since there are several cues that either aren't on the album at all or are presented in a different sequence, I'm going to include as many of these cues as possible - I think we'll be able to get at least twenty minutes of them - what fun!

I've had a sandwich, and was just trying to watch a motion picture on Blu-Ray. This thing was not well-reviewed and was a bit of a stiff at the box-office, and yet everyone was waiting for the Blu-Ray as if this film were the second coming. And, it's a close to three-hour "director's" cut. I will tell you that I lasted forty excruciating minutes before ripping the disc out of the player and putting it directly into the trade pile - simply put, it belongs in the pantheon of movie crap, a total waste of whatever format it was shot on, directed by an incompetent kid who couldn't tell a story if his life depended on it, and written by utter fools (it's based on a graphic novel) - it is called Watchmen.
-
And now, I'm off to my parents' for a spaghettti dinner.
Until later!
-
I am feeling better today. I started really slowly but got better quickly.
-
Don't know if I mentioned it yet, but my KitchenAid food processor arrived today!!! It's the one I cashed in my frequent flyer miles to get. It's even nicer than I thought it would be. I'm very excited to start using it. I will wait, however, until I get back from my reunion

Tonight's dish with tomato was some beef sliced in strips and sauteed in olive oil, with garlic, salt and pepper and cherry tomatoes, It was very tasty

We did not get one single good tomato out of our garden this year, Cillaliz. I am very jealous.

We did not get one single good tomato out of our garden this year, Cillaliz. I am very jealous.
I spent a lot of time digging up the new garden area by hand, putting in both manure and new topsoil, etc. Then I bought some bigger tomato plants that already had blossoms. I got very lucky with the weather, and am pleased that it's working out. I actually have 4 different kinds of tomatoes from cherry to the great big ones.
-
I would mail you a tomato, but I don't think it would do well in the mail

There is a blight that is wiping out much of the tomato crop in the Northeast this year. Also potatoes.

I'm thrilled about your mixer, DR Cillaliz! It just makes me happy. :)

I haven't been watching Big Brother but tuned in tonight. I don't think I like any of these people.
They are quite unappealing. Usually i always have one favorite. But this year i dislike almost all of them. The only ones i find sort of endearing are jeff and jordan. I would love for them to go after the athletes. Only problem is i don't find jordan too bright! While i think she is sweet and good hearted, i just can't have my favorite be someone who is dumb!
At least i don't hate her.
America's vote should be interesting.

My nose won't stop running. Does anyone know anything to take that makes your nose stop running (and sinuses stop hurting).
It can't make you drowsy. So it can't be something like sudafed. Because things that cause drowsiness make me unable to function for like 24 hours.
So far i've been doing advil cold and sinus. Only it doesn't really make my nose stop running. :(

Today I visited my mother and my aunt, delivering to each of them a box of Fannie May candy that we brought back from Chicago. Took my mom on a couple of shopping errands. Then Richard and I went to the hospital to visit his brother (no change), grabbed dinner on the way home, and are now watching TV. We saw the opening number on SYTYCD, and my jaw is still on the floor. We've switched over to Foyle's War, which interests Richard more than it does me.

Jennifer, there are several homeopathic sinus remedies available. I am currently taking one by Gripp-Heel. I used to take on by Natura-Bio, which I swore by. Both are very good--effective and no side-effects. You should be able to find one under $10 (US).

Most frequent flyer or hotel rewards programs have websites where you can redeem your points or miles for all sorts of things. In the past I've gotten gift cards to restaurants, hotel rooms, flights and now a food processor! The cool thing was with the United miles, I didn't even have to pay shipping

It's also a good way to use up points when you realize that it will take a few more trips - over a few more years - to actually earn a free flight.

You writing this reminded me that i have rhus toxicodendron, which i'm pretty sure is what i got for my lower back last year. It has been acting up again (not terribly). But it has been bothering me for a couple of weeks enough so that when i lift anything it hurts. Do you think it would help (what i have)?
Thanks.

So far i've been doing advil cold and sinus. Only it doesn't really make my nose stop running. :(
DR Jennifer - It all depends what it cause your nose to run. Do you think you're coming down with a cold? Is it allergies? Taking a "cold" medicine for an allergy-related condition is just over-medicating yourself.
As for a non-drowsy formula, most non-drowsy medications are simply the "drowsy" versions with caffeine added to the formula. So, if something like Sudafed does work for you, just take it with a cup of coffee or some diet Coke. Otherwise, see if you can find one of the Coricidin medicines. Those are formulated for people with high blood pressure, and the antihistamines they use do not cause "excitement", and they tend to be a little gentler than regular formulas.
A runny nose means that your body is working something out of it. Just keep a box of Kleenex nearby.

Don't know if I mentioned it yet, but my KitchenAid food processor arrived today!!! It's the one I cashed in my frequent flyer miles to get. It's even nicer than I thought it would be. I'm very excited to start using it. I will wait, however, until I get back from my reunion
DR Cillaliz - Speaking from experience: Those blades are sharp. Very sharp. If you do find yourself hand-washing them, you may want to invest in some of those "Orca" gloves to protect your fingers and hands.

My DH still thinks leisure suits are great. In fact, when we needed to go to a fancy soiree a couple of months ago, he was planning on wearing his. "Honestly, Dear, I don't know where it is."

Seasons three and four of Lost will be here tomorrow. I'm taking a break from viewing anything this evening - just listening to CDs and I'll probably start on the liner notes later.
-
DR TCB - I can't print what I'd do to you in a public forum. :-*
DR DAW - Could you Google for a graphic instead? Or at least hyperlink to one.
::)

If you'd do it to him in a public forum, why couldn't you print it?
It's the stuff you'd do to him in private the world doesn't want to know about.

DAW, I think you could find steady employment with that Tosh guy on Comedy Central (is that right?) who finds weird and wonderful websites and videos.
DR JMK - Have you ever seen Tosh and DAW in the same room at the same time?
-
DR TCB - ;D
I did see that one, but somehow it doesn't quite communicate the fabulosity of a leisure suit's true potential. :)
Needs socks.
::)

MATTH, does that mean you didn't like MISS MARCH?
;D
You read my mind! I never can keep anything from you!

Unless something comes in the mail tomorrow for review purposes, I am beginning tonight a two and a half day vacation. I have only KAGAMUSHA on Blu-ray left in my pile, and it doesn't come out until August 18th, so I'm going to take a little "me" time the next couple of days and not feel compelled to work.
-
I want to be able to concentrate on doing my new exercise regimen and continue rehabilitation on these injured muscles. Of course, I'll be doing plenty of viewing, just not having to write up anything in depth.

Here is the website for Stephen Schwartz's opera, Séance on a Wet Afternoon (http://www.seancetheopera.com/index.html). There are a few sound clips scattered around the site.
And there are videos on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/video/?oid=28783363957).
My friend, Michael Marcotte, is a part of the "Séance" cast. He's looking forward to the full presentation they'll be doing in Santa Barbara this fall.
-Ain't he got a nice punim?

Tonight I watched two more MURDER SHE WROTE episodes. One of them had Jessica being sued for using a real life crime event as the plot for one of her fictional works. George Segal, Morgan Fairchild, and Herb Edelman were guest starring.
-
The second found Jessica in London assisting Anne Meara in adapting one of her books for the stage. Jean March and Norman Lloyd were other guest stars involved in the murder.
-
Next I watched last night's LEVERAGE. A good caper and Eliot got drawn into a child abuse situation which took his focus away from the mission.
-
I finished my evening viewing with tonight's BURN NOTICE. Another excellent outing for the show with some real conflict developing with Michael and Fi. Bruce Campbell is SO entertaining with his offhanded way of bantering with his lines. He really increases the entertainment value of the show.
-
And, yes, DR TCB, I do have his phone number. ;)

I still remembering watching this with some friends, and truly laughing out loud during the final scene...
And then I had to explain to my friends why the ending was so funny.

I've been having a fun day visiting with relatives I haven't seen since I was 10 or 11. I also heard some family stories I never heard before. I think my mother also never heard them to pass along.

CONTINUED HEALTH VIBES TO ALL WHO NEED THEM!

I'm heading down now to get some sleep.
Good night!

Thanks for the advice..I'll check into that

...We saw the opening number on SYTYCD, and my jaw is still on the floor...
If there was ever a reason to drop the whole "Broadway" dance, that was it! Truly cringe-inducing, verging on the edge of insulting.

Time for me to get to bed. I haven't done anything to get ready to leave tomorrow to go to my reunion. I have a hearing in the morning, so I'm hoping that doesn't last too long and I can get home and pack the car and hit the road.

Jennifer, there are several homeopathic sinus remedies available. I am currently taking one by Gripp-Heel. I used to take on by Natura-Bio, which I swore by. Both are very good--effective and no side-effects. You should be able to find one under $10 (US).
Thanks for reminding me of the homeopathic alternatives. For some reason i never remember to think of that!
You writing this reminded me that i have rhus toxicodendron, which i'm pretty sure is what i got for my lower back last year. It has been acting up again (not terribly). But it has been bothering me for a couple of weeks enough so that when i lift anything it hurts. Do you think it would help (what i have)?
Thanks.
Jennifer, Rhus Tox is known as the "rusty gate" remedy, meaning that it helps those muscle problems that feel better after movement. Arnica is the remedy of choice for acute sprains and bruises when they first occur. Rhus Tox is often prescribed a bit later--say, after a few days on Arnica. Since you have the Rhus Tox on hand and it helped before, I would give it a try.
To all who are experiencing muscular problems I would recommend 100 mg of magnesium daily, preferably taken on an empty stomach. It's estimated that 75% of North Americans have a magnesium deficiency, and I am convinced that it is responsible for many of the fibromyalgia cases, as well as playing a role in many others. There is very little downside. Many people swear by Epsom salt baths; Epsom salts are simply magnesium. A magnesium gel is also available, which is applied topically. Much has been published about the many benefits of magnesium, but unfortunately, the information has not been adequately disseminated.
-
Arnica wouldn't be a bad choice right now, either, if you feel you re-strained it.
-
I have been watching AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'--the British mini-series from the 1990's. I loved it. Lots of Big Band music and written by Bob Larbey, who wrote the PBS AS TIME GOES BY. Really a joy.
-
It also includes the loveliest version of A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BARKLEY SQUARE.

Just in from a lovely dessert & chat with the adorable DRs FJL an (the errant and truant) Julie. I think everyone's ears should have been burning! I've said it before, but it bears repeating: the folks at HHW are the nicest people it has been my pleasure to meet.

What could possibly have happened??

I have to make a very difficult decision about about our next release - as mentioned, I discovered the original score tracks (in mono) - fifty minutes of never before released music (this is part of the two-fer we'll be announcing next week, and this album was a re-recording). Once you've heard the original score tracks, the album is sort of a joke as all the music has been rearranged for the album and little of the dramatic scoring is there (think the Mancini albums from the 60s). So, I can put about sixteen minutes of bonus material, but that is basically only two tracks from the score, and the historian and collector in me wants to include everything - and the only way to do that is to do a standalone release on this one title - but the contract and check are already in and it would be a pain to change that and I don't want to be a pain. The other option is to go to two CDs and not raise the price - that's real value for money, I think - you still get the two-fer on one CD, and then on the second CD you get the entire original score tracks to one of the films. So, that's the decision I have to make - it would be easy except the costs go up for a two-CD set and since I wouldn't raise the price, my profit margin, which is slim, goes down. But if I can get my big online dealer to commit to at least 600 then I'll probably go that route.

Posts are read.
Everyone was very funny today.

bk.
Hope it's a two-fer.
Vibes for a very difficult decision.

Nothing in my day was exciting.
Except laughing at the 10 pages of wonderful posts.

Good night. The moon was very pretty this evening.
Wonderful vibes for a wonderful Friday.
8) 8) And cooler weather for the weekend.

The spaghetti dinner at my parents' house was very good. Simple, but good. I brought home the left-overs. :)

Hi George, good luck with the aliens and the skylight.

And now to try and sleep.

And now, I must go to bed. I want to get to work early because there's going to be a union meeting and I plan to be there, just to hear what they have to say.
Good night.

But before I go...

Gratuitous Post #303!
For no reason at all. ;)
