Well, you've read the notes, the notes were brief, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently trying to fit into their string bikinis, which looks udderly ridiculous.
-
And the word of the day is: COLLUDE!

Whew! Back from a long visit with DF Susan and her DH, who went with us to see Cowboy Envy in Redondo. The performing arts center there was packed...hundreds of people, and most of them older than us! That was nice because they knew so many of the songs and they made us feel like youngsters. They sold lots of CDs at intermission---the line was so long that they had to continue after the show and had another long line then.
We knew it was a good sign as we went in and people were being turned away. They put on a great show!
I had worked with my composer right up until the last minute so we had dinner afterwards and then dished a lot. Now time to collapse!
bk, hope you can go tomorrow!
-
We saw the Wolf Moon. I had never heard that expression before. What a moon!
-
Vibes of all sorts to Elmore!
-
DR Cillaliz...this story continues to evolve into something more tragic every day. That is beyond sad to leave 5 kids behind. Vibes to her family.
-
Saturday is a work day. Whew!
-
Had to go back and correct my birthdate on my returns....crazy keyboard put in the wrong day.

DR FJL - that woman sounded JUST like Mrs. Miller....JUST LIKE!
Today DR JANE and SHERLOCK are having dog visitors. Hilarity will ensue.
-
Here's the office door. It's all vinyl. I think they did a great job with it
-
She's Themis (lady justice) not the Statue of Liberty, but I like the idea that it's not clear. People see who they want to see. Some have even laughed and said it's me,
-
Something woke me up today that sounded like someone moaning or making some sort of a strange sound. It ended when I woke up...I think it may have been me snoring...good grief!
-
It's kind of nice to be up so early on a Saturday. I have time to relax a little bit before I start a busy weekend
-
Good morning, all! I will very shortly take a taxi to Toyland: I have a pile of photocopies to trim on the paper cutter and I need to check out some LADY OF THE SLIPPER manuscripts. The sooner I am there, the sooner I can return to face three days' worth of mail and packages. Tonight I'm seeing a play with my drummer friend Chris.
Now, here's the Big Question: where the hell is DR TCB? I've had no crazy emails in the past few days and he hasn't posted here. Is he okay?
-
Does anyone have his phone number? If so, perhaps someone should call and check on him.
-
And the word of the day is: COLLUDE!
And The Song Of The Day Is: POLITICS AND POKER

I just sent E&T DR Jed a request to check on him.
-
Great quote, Cillaliz. LOL!
-
Off to work. Oh well.
Lovely door, DR CILLA LIZ....I would have never guessed.
-
Great door DR Cillaliz!
-
I decided to watch WHITE COLLAR last night (i love this show), which says something since i chose it over MEDIUM and GHOST WHISPERER.
The leads work so well together. And i love the quirky Maz (sp?). So funny!
-
Greetings from Toyland!
I am coming down with a cold, and I just canceled the play with Chris tonight. I think I caught it from the recycled air on the train to or from DC. I felt great until this morning. Now I'm stopped up, my throat is getting sore and I am not amused by any of this.
-
Who was it who said, "Cheese is the staff of life"?
-
Don't get sick vibes to DR Elmore! Drink lots of water and try to kick it before it kicks you!
-
Who was it who said, "Cheese is the staff of life"?
I don't know, but we had a lot of the staff of life last night---half a dozen exotic cheeses because our friend was expecting another friend to stop by, a Frenchman who is very particular about wine and cheese. We tried out some really interesting ones. Some pretty smelly but tasty!
-
Our, and our DF loved the band last night and decided to go see them again tonight, too. bk met our friend Susan when we all dined at Ghengis Cohen back when I was editing the Brain video. That must have been awhile ago!
-
Good morning!
Well, we did get our "wintery mix," mostly sleet from the looks of it, and it's still sleeting but it's a very fine sleet . They're calling for 3-5 inches of sleet and snow by the end of the storm. I'm just glad to be nice and snug inside my own house. And, no, I did not get to do my walk today nor will I tomorrow since it's going to be bitterly cold and nothing is going to melt until Monday.

Wasn't 40 POUNDS OF TROUBLE yet another remake of LITTLE MISS MARKER? I saw it on Saturday Night at the Movies eons ago, and that's what I remembered about it. But I may be mistaken.
-
Today I'll be working on BARNABY JONES - The First Season. It was a midseason replacement, so only 13 episodes were filmed for the first season. Haven't seen the show in decades, and I'm not sure I ever saw the first season, so these episodes should be fun.
-
I like cheese a lot, but I don't cook many dishes which use it, so I have no recipes or suggestions about its use in cooking. And other than limberger, I can't think of any cheese that I've tasted that I don't like.
-
Page Two Dance!!!
-
I'm looking forward to watching the PROJECT RUNWAY episode today while I eat lunch. Like DR Jennifer, I had to make some tough decisions last night about what I wanted to watch for fun, and I opted for BURN NOTICE over PROJECT RUNWAY.
-
TOD: I like Swiss, provolone, those mozerella (that can't be spelled correctly) cheese strings, colby, cheedar. Hate any kind of processed cheese. The Lovely Wife makes a wonderfully cheesy pasta as a delicious side dish with parmesan.

I can't eat cheese.
-
I love cheese and am often teased about that. :)
-
Guess I'll close up shop here for a bit and head downstairs to see what needs tending to with our bad weather before starting on lunch preparation.
WBBL.

It's another perfect day in LA!

Vermont White Cheddar is my new favorite cheese.

I got up about two minutes before the doorbell rang. I guess I'll package up these orders and get out of here.

Saturday
morning afternoon greetings! I managed to sleep until 8:30 this morning (late for me), read The Lost Symbol for a while, then fixed a pecan waffle breakfast for Richard and me. This was my first time working in our kitchen in a week and I had to stop and think about where to find things. Read the papers and some more of my book before getting on line and, voila, it's past noon.
-
I am awake and semi-conscious (having had a cup of coffee).
Am filled with ennui for some reason. Oh,all right. It might have to do with being tired and ambivalent toward doing much of anything today.
Perhaps rest is the ticket!
-
Am filled with ennui
Bresson? Not a pretty picture. ;)

I am journeying south, even beyond MBarnum land, to Philomath today, to play the birthday party of a 103 year old!!

You'll be the youngest one there!!!

Happy Saturday, everyone!
-
I just got an email from TCB! Did one of you DRs drive him off while I was away? Hopefully, the answer is no and he will return to us today.
-
Today DR JANE and SHERLOCK are having dog visitors. Hilarity will ensue.
i hope not too much, praying the rain holds off. the temps are dropping so it could snow instead.
-
Cilla your office news is very exciting :) NICE DOOR-WOW!!!
-
Matt h, now I too can picture a witch flying in front of the moon :)
We never saw the moon last night & chances are we won't tonight :(
-
STAY WELL VIBES FOR DR ELMORE!!!
-
I really like swiss cheese and feta!
I use cheese when making: macaroni, shepherd's pie, lasagna, and cannelloni.
I have a recipe for chicken pot pie that i want to try this week. And I believe there is some chesse in it.
-
interesting you named two foods i would not put cheese into, shepherd's pie & chicken pot pie.
-
DR ELMORE - the last I remember, DR TCB said your name and ran out screaming.
-
Slow news day at HHW.....and slow day at World of Wisdom as well....busy morning and then slow since about 2:30.
-
I spent the day printing newsletters. I used the old machine (the one that has given me so much trouble) because the one they brought out for us to try (and hopefully sign a service contract on) printed such AWFUL photos. So I guess I'll be sending it back.
-
Matt h, now I too can picture a witch flying in front of the moon :)
We never saw the moon last night & chances are we won't tonight :(
:D
It's what I've always called it! And those kinds of moons are very common around here. Even larger and oranger sometimes.
-
we went for a short hike before it began raining. ;) unfortunately the pups have not arrived yet. i preferred they came in the house dry after playing outside. the later they arrive the less time they will have to visit :(
-
orange moons are beautiful.
-
I watched PROJECT RUNWAY while I ate lunch. I was overjoyed by the loser of this week's competition and was only shuddering to think that this person was going to pull someone else down as well. Thankfully that didn't happen.
The show irritated the crap out of me, however, not only because of the team challenge which I always find horrendously unfair and polarizing but by the producers springing an extra look on them when their time had been budgeted based on what they had been told originally. This, again, I find completely irritating and done ONLY for the purposes of making "interesting TV" but instead inflicting more pressure on situations that are already taut and traumatic enough already.
-
Page Three Dance!!!
-
Next I began on BARNABY JONES. I got two episodes watched. I did not remember that CBS had WIlliam COnrad as Cannon sort of "chaparone" Buddy Ebsen through this first case on his new show.
The show, disappointingly, is not a mystery but rather a crime drama. We see whodunit immediately. The whydunit is the part we have to find out during the course of the show.
Bradford Dillman and Robert Hogan were the primary guest stars in the pilot episode.
-
The second one guest starred William Shatner as a wealthy man who stages his own death so he can ride off to a new life in Arizona. The shows were made in 1973, and Shatner was starting to the heaviness around his midsection that would get more pronounced during the rest of the 1970s. He'd never have Captain Kirk's 1960s physique again.
-
I should be able to get four or five more of these watched before I turn off the equipment tonight putting me more than halfway through the set.
The only bonus features are the sixty second promos aligned to each episode, so once I've finshed the episodes, I'm finished with the box.
-
The sleet ended several hours ago. Looks like I got about an inch or one and a half inches here. Doesn't appear to be any danger of snapping power lines or broken limbs landing on the house. That's a BIG relief.
-
I was expecting those SUPERMAN nonfiction books today, and I was BITTERLY disappointed that I only got one little envelope in the mailbox and NO packages at all.
I also have not yet gotten my shipping notice for THE MUSIC MAN/FINIAN'S RAINBOW. Argh!
-
I'm heading down now to continue with Barnaby Jones.
WBBL.
-
it is raining rather hard now :( all i asked for was a few more hours of clear weather.
-
if they don't arrive soon they might not have time to stop at all.
-
DR ELMORE - the last I remember, DR TCB said your name and ran out screaming.
LOL!
I affect so many that way.
-
interesting you named two foods i would not put cheese into, shepherd's pie & chicken pot pie.
I like to put the cheese on the top of the shpherd's pie, although i know a lot of recipes do not call for it.
I'm not sure about the chicken pot pie. I believe the recipe has cheese mixed in. I saw it had chicken, cream of something soup, frozen veggies. And i think cheese. But i don't really know if that is just to make it creamy. It has those fold up crescent rolls/croissants as the top. So i have no idea how that will turn out.
-
I have two movies to watch from the library: UP and THE UGLY TRUTH. Not sure which one i will watch tonight.
-
Back from all the errands and whatnot. I have not had more than thirty minutes to myself, and I used that to do some smoothing out and additions to what I wrote yesterday. I had to tell edisaurus that I won't be able to make it tonight - it's just too far and I'm just starting to write and then I have to print out close to 125 pages this evening so I can get them to muse Margaret in the morning.
-
It is still extremely cold here. Brrrrr!
-
It was nice seeing David Shire - haven't actually seen him for about eight years now.
-
And now - back to writing.
-
I hope TCB did not disappear because of something someone said. :(
-
BK, will you begin watching the new season of LOST when it starts airing this Tuesday?
-
interesting you named two foods i would not put cheese into, shepherd's pie & chicken pot pie.
I like to put the cheese on the top of the shpherd's pie, although i know a lot of recipes do not call for it.
on top of the mashed potatoes?
-
they came, they walked the dogs one at a time while i held the 8 week old pup. the used the facilities & left. the entire time it was pouring. not what i originally expected, still it was nice to meet them & see the dogs. i fear the stop will make them late for the hand off in portland.
-
Aww, that's too bad, Jane. I know you were looking forward to the visit.
-
thanks laura. i feel bad for them. it isn't an easy trip with all those dogs & to drive most the way in the rain, plus it will be dark by the time they arrive.
-
i needed to get my shoes laces tied quickly & keith wasn't around. i did the left one without a problem & then tied the right one. just as i was finishing i yelled ouch very loudly. it still hurts. sigh, guess i won't be tying my own laces for awhile longer.
-
Off to work. Oh well.
Lovely door, DR CILLA LIZ....I would have never guessed.
LOL
-
Cilla your office news is very exciting :) NICE DOOR-WOW!!!
Thanks!

Back from MBarnum's backyard, AKA Philomath. The party was fun and the 103 year old was, well, 103. ;)
In breaking news, it appears we have reached a deal on the new La Manse. Sellers have agreed to another price reduction in lieu of the repairs and we should have a signed agreement tomorrow. Then it's on to the appraisal and being really, really heavily in debt. :)
-
Richard and I went on a date this afternoon/evening - Panera for late lunch/early dinner, Barnes & Noble, and to see Up in the Air. It was my first time out since we got home from the hospital Monday afternoon and I'm worn out.
We did enjoy the movie, though, and I bought two books: The Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff, which was recommended by one of my young book group friends, and Unfinished Desires, the newest novel by my favorite author, Gail Godwin.
-
Favorite 103 year old moment: we sang Happy Birthday and then the woman's great granddaughter leaned in to her and shouted, "You should thank all these people for coming to your party." The 103 year old looked befuddled for a moment and then asked, "Will all these people be coming to the party?" ;)
-
Today I was art hunting for a couple places in the office. I stopped at a friend's studio and was considering the same painting I've looked at many many times, but just wasn't sure about the investment right now. So I found something for my office at a flower shop and was looking around when he called and said he had spoken to his wife and wanted to give me the painting because he'll be out of the country at the time of my open house. I was flabergasted. It was the last thing I expected. They came over and hung it on the wall for me.
Here's the before and after. It's called String of Souls

This is the first time I've notice that the acronym for World of Wisdom is WOW

Not the best photos, they are from my blackberry. I had to be sure Edith would like it before they hung it in her area. she loves it

Wow. That's really nice, Cillaliz. It looks great.

Aww.
My husband's Aunt Pearl will turn 104 next month. She's about the same way.
-
Really nice, Cilla.
(I admit I thought it was the Statue of Liberty.)
-
Clerk at Flower shop: What kind of business do you have?
Me: I'm a lawyer.
Clerk: Really?? But you're so happy and friendly, I never would have guessed that.
cilla-LOL ;D
Gosh that was nice of your friend. i can see why you coveted it for that spot in your office.
-
Wow. That's really nice, Cillaliz. It looks great.
Thanks! He used to be an Assistant United States Attorney. We went from sort of friends to very heated adversaries. Then he went to Saipan for 3 years and when he came back he ran for County Attorney but lost the election, so he decided to paint. He's been a full time artist for several years now. Here's his website http://bowersart.carbonmade.com/
We've become very good friends since he's no longer "on the other side". I'm also very good friends with his wife, who is helping him hang the painting in the photo.
-
Really nice, Cilla.
(I admit I thought it was the Statue of Liberty.)
That's ok. It's actually intentional and why I picked that particular lady justice. Since I do immigration, the Statue of Liberty is fine. My dad, on the other hand, think it looks like a punk rocker with spiked hair.
-
Back from MBarnum's backyard, AKA Philomath.
having never heard of philomath i looked it up. it appears to be much closer to corvalis than mbarnum.
congrats on the house & vibes your current home sells!!
-
ginny how nice you had a date with your guy.
i mostly stayed home and am exhausted, from doing numerous new activities.
-
DR Cillaliz - what a nice thing for your painter friend to do! I hope this coming week is festive for you - congratulations on the new office!
-
Thanks Jane, FJL and Laura. It really meant a lot to me.

Some people evidently don't get "literary license." ;D

;D
-
DR CILLA LIZ that is an astoundingly lovely painting....and the mode of its acquisition makes it even more special!
-
Yes DR FJL.....somedays i just want to answer the telephone...."Wow, may I help you?"
-
Tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. EST, TCM will show the Dirk Bogarde version of A TALE OF TWO CITIES, which is my favorite film version of the story. Bogarde's Sydney Carton is heartbreaking as he keeps his distance from Lucy because she loves another....and finally sacrifices his life for her and her family.
It is such a great story....and this is a terrific version....if you like the story and the Ronald Colman version but have never seen this one, please give it a chance. I think you will like it.....
-
What a special gift, Cilla. I hope it makes you very happy for years to come.
-
Thanks JRand and JMK. I'm very sure I'll enjoy it for years to come. I was very pleased when I sent the photo to Edith and her response was "That's really cool" I'm not sure what I would have done if she had hated it
-
Thanks Ginny! I loved Up in the Air. It was much funnier than I expected it to be
-
I'm watching the Miss America pageant and feel really old - they just interviewed a former MA who was crowned 50 years ago and I remember her!
-
I just turned it on, man! who is the woman with the incredible voice!
-
She was singing opera, but I missed who it is
-
DR Cillaliz - that was Miss District of Columbia singing "O Mio Bambino Caro."
-
Thanks Ginny.
-
My Mom always made clam dip for Miss America night, but we can no longer get the Kraft Roka Blu cheese spread that's a pivotal ingredient. Maybe I'll have some chips & salsa instead.
-
Is pet nanny the same thing as cat sitter? LOL.
-
I think so, DR Cillaliz, maybe with a higher pay scale.
-
Do they teach them to read?
-
Well, now we know that experience as a pet nanny doesn't get you crowned Miss America.
-
I loved seeing her parents' reaction to their daughter being crowned
-
Well, now we know that experience as a pet nanny doesn't get you crowned Miss America.
:D

I just learned that Jerry Mathers was born in Sioux City. They announced we'll be the starting city for the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) and the called Sioux City the birth place of Beaver and Gopher. It took me a while to figure that out. I knew Fred Grandy was from Sioux City, but didn't know about Jerry Mathers. Well, I learned something today.

The Miss America Pageant used to be one of the mainstays of most American households. Along with the Super Bowl and the Oscars, it was among the largest viewing audiences of the year. And now it's on a cable channel with almost no publicity, the local and state pageants which used to be so big and were broadcast statewide are no longer broadcast at all.
Time really does not stand still, and sometimes it's hard to get used to.

It was a big deal in our house growing up. I think my mom kept notes...but then again, she keeps notes for Dancing with the Stars ;)
-
I have watched a total of seven BARNABY JONES episodes today, more than halfway through the series' first season. Nice to see them mix it up occasionally. In one episode, it didn't start out with a murder at all but by duping Barnaby into smuggling heroin out of Mexico. In another, a person Barnaby was instrumental in getting convicted to prison finally got out and made a vendetta against him, so the whole episode was the ex-con stalking Barnaby and his daughter-in-law.
-
As for the guest stars, they're a line-up of the stars who made the rounds on all of the CBS cop shows of the era: Janice Rule, Gary Lockwood, Eric Braeden, Sharon Acker, Richard Hatch, Lloyd Bochner, Jack Cassidy, Anne Francis, Cathy Lee Crosby.
Even Estelle Winwood turned up in the last episode I watched tonight!

Kept notes! Scored along with the judges on ballots in the newspaper/TV GUIDE. My mom and I watched it faithfully every year, and I would come home from college on the weekend it was airing so we could watch it together. (It used to be in September). We'd comment on the gowns, on the legs of the girls in swimsuits, on the talent, etc.
And I knew every Miss America's name from 1945's Bess Myerson all the way through the most recent winners. It was a BIG deal at our house.
-
I don't think I've seen a Miss America contest since the 1980s. Maybe I did see the last one telecast on network TV since I remember they asked trivia questions of the five finalists in place of the question where they had to talk off the tops of their heads, and one poor girl didn't get a single one right, and they were basic information like the author of TOM SAWYER or the distance of the sun from the Earth, and they were multiple choice questions!
-
Wasn't able to get as many BARNABY JONES episodes watched as quickly as I was able to get DYNASTY watched. Ten years later also cut out 6 minutes of running time from the length of each episode. These JONES episodes run 50-51 minutes each.
-
DR Cillaliz - that was Miss District of Columbia singing "O Mio Bambino Caro."
It's "O mio babbino caro," which means my dear daddy, not "bambino," which means baby, DR Ginny!

:D I remember the ballots, maybe that's what she was doing. Now that you mention it, we used to all pick our top 10 and the 5 and then see who was right. Still not as big a deal as your house but an event nonetheless
-
I am caught up in the CHEESiness that is GHOST ADVENTURES.
-
DR Cillaliz - that was Miss District of Columbia singing "O Mio Bambino Caro."

Oops! She still had a fantastic voice and didn't make the cut. Nor did the other opera singer.

I also remember how disappointed we'd be if our Miss America state winner wasn't in the top ten. Miss SC often was in the top ten group, but when she wasn't, it was a big letdown. We'd still watch, of course, and choose our own favorites from those who were in the top ten, but it was never quite as thrilling.
And if your state got into the top five, well, we were basket cases!
-
Well, now that I've traveled back through memory lane, I need to get off-line and do some writing.
Good night, all!

I thought they both got robbed!!
-
Of course I only saw the talent competition and didn't see all that
-
How nice Cillaliz, and I do really like that painting!
-
Thanks MBarnum! I'm still amazed and so thankful for my friend's generosity.
-
Back to UP IN THE AIR: We ran into, and sat behind, a long-time friend and her husband. He's retired now, but for years ran an outplacement company in Cincinnati. I'd love to have talked to him afterwards, but they left before the credits were finished (we always watch them all the way through). I'll see Deborah next weekend and will have to ask her what he thought.
-
Well, my first day back among the living (more or less) has been fun, but I'm pretty tired. I'm glad to have a doctor's appointment Monday, because I'm not thrilled with the fatigue or with the cough I've developed. In the meantime - 'night!
-
So is outplacement the same as firing?
-
I should head to bed. I'm tired and I have to clean the whole house tomorrow so I'm ready for my guests on Tuesday night. I've been home so much that it really isn't too bad.
-
Here's the office door. It's all vinyl. I think they did a great job with it
That's a great door, Cilla!

I was reminded in a conversation with the DP this eve that I didn't sleep well last night. In one of my dreams, it was the first rehearsal for Rent and I was bored at rehearsal and I was reading bk's notes of the day. I remember reading that one of the activities that bk had done the day before was recording the voice of the "Ant" in "The Empire of the Ants" for Disney's California Adventure's new night time show "World of Color" and how he had a great time recording the voice. I then proceeded to leave rehearsal and leave my backpack with my computer in it on the bus (?!?!)
I hate dreams like that....

i needed to get my shoes laces tied quickly & keith wasn't around. i did the left one without a problem & then tied the right one. just as i was finishing i yelled ouch very loudly. it still hurts. sigh, guess i won't be tying my own laces for awhile longer.
Jane, how about some Gucci Velcro shoes? They're stylish and functional. :D

Here's the office door. It's all vinyl. I think they did a great job with it
That's a great door, Cilla!
Thanks DR George!
-
Jennifer: Yep, I'll be watching Lost, if not live then on the DVR. I'm recording the season.
-
I finished about fifteen pages all told, in addition to smoothing stuff out. I then printed this week's pages - over 130 of them. Whew!
-
Well, no one can say we didn't get to page six, but we've been at our lowest numbers in ages. I suppose that will change at some point. I really haven't stopped today.
-
I certainly hope that I am not the only HHWer who recorded GIRLS ON THE LOOSE and TEEN AGE CRIME WAVE off TCM last night.

I didn't know they were on. I want TCM HD. I never even look at what they're showing.

By the way, DR Jose, you asked me last month what type of salt and pepper shakers I normally used (after having seen my Christmas S & Ps.
Well, here are my everyday salt and pepper shakers.

I'm tired and am just listening to some CDs right now.

David Wechter's wife Barbara has an unbelievable salt and pepper shaker collection - probably three or four hundred, of which I probably bought her three.
-
BK, I am shocked that you don't check out TCM's listings! You are missing a ton of great stuff, let me tell you.
I print out each month's entire schedule and circle what I want to watch...just like I did with the TV Guide back in the olden days.
And TCM has the Columbia Studios library now....so many wonderful B movies to see!!

Hmmm...I must visit this Barbara gal next time I am in LA. I just love Salt and Pepper shakers.

Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And then I went to meet my friend, Tucker, for brunch at the Renaissance.
Good times.
-
Good Afternoon!
And then I met my friend, Mike, before and after he went to the opera this afternoon (Stiffelio at The Met).
Good times.
-
Good Evening!
And then I met up with a virtual gaggles of friends and fellow foodies for a meal in Chinatown. It turned out that one of the young women at the table spoke Chinese - actually Shanghaiese - and since we were at a Shanghai cuisine restaurant, and since the young woman's grandparents grew up in the same town that our waitress grew up in (not at the same time, of course), well...
Good times!
We didn't get any free food, but we - well she - did get tipped off to the best and freshest dishes on the menu, and we had very attentive and thoughtful service.
-
And then we all headed next door to the Original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory. I had Black Sesame and Taro.
Good times!
-
DR Cillaliz - Great Door!
-
DR Cillaliz - Beautiful painting!
*So, do you have to return after your ribbon-cutting/grand opening once the artist is back in town? ;)

"Lindon" also does a pretty good Merman and Satchmo.

DR elmore - Thanks for the DR TCB update. :)

bk - Funny that you should mention and see David Shire today - I had just "excavated" my copy of Maltby & Shire's Cyrano and Grand Tour.

I need to start doing this, too. There are so many channels that I like to watch, but I don't because I don't think about them. I usually just watch my regulars.
-
DR Ginny - Glad to read that you and your DH Richard got to spend some quality time outside of your house today.

It's being rebroadcast again right now. It just started on the standard-def TLC, but will be rebroadcast tomorrow at 10:00 am on the hi-def TLC. I'll record it then. :)

DR Jane - Have you thought about investing in those "memory" elastic shoelaces? ;)
-
Jon Hamm and Michael Bublé are on SNL right now.
-
I'm recording that, already and will watch it tomorrow.
-
I also need to do laundry tomorrow...I have no clean socks at all. :P

And since we're so close...

PAGE SEVEN DANCE!!

interesting you named two foods i would not put cheese into, shepherd's pie & chicken pot pie.
I like to put the cheese on the top of the shpherd's pie, although i know a lot of recipes do not call for it.
on top of the mashed potatoes?
I've seen - and tasted - lots of Shepherd's Pies that have had shredded cheese baked onto/into the mashed potatoes. Good for color, texture and taste. YUM!
