And the word of the day is: CRUCIVERBALIST!
I shall also watch the LOST finale on Sunday.....in some article somewhere....perhaps even linked here at HHW, the creator/writer or somebody said that he had the final image in mind from the start of the series....and he was working all these years to get to it.....so we shall see.
I've been carrying around a book with a man's naked torso with 6 pack abs on the cover; some photographic essay on Roman wrestling or something. It was shipped to me to give to a friend when he got to the states. Wonder if he'll pick it up today before he leaves the country? It's plastic wrapped but I have a feeling that if I opened it I might blush...
I'm sure everyone will be glad to know that in addition to THE CLOSER, I'm also doing the promos for everyones' favorite, SAVING GRACE. After we finished next week's promos, they decided to change the order in which the episodes air, so at 6 last night we learned that we have to cut spots today that will be onlined and mixed tomorrow and on the air on Monday. Guess that will cut down on the approval process!
On the internet front - ever do something so goofy that logic tells you it's just plain weird, yet you still want to share it?
"Unemployment insurance" is an odd thing - if you're self-employed on a day, you can't collect for that day, but if you put together material that is more to promote yourself than make money from it, that seems to be looking for work.
So with that knowledge:
If CHER did THE VISIT (RE-MIX, heavier on the AUTO-TUNE) - BELIEVE parody (I actually wanted to give this one another try, it's just so goony
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTdmRqJ1pSo
And this one is just so goofy, but really depends on someone REALLY knowing the lyrics to "1776"
John & Abigail Adams Family ("Yours! Yours! Yours! Yours!") - assumes working knowledge of "1776" cast album :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bUcJKIYFyw
I know it's rude to post links and run, but it seems so on-topic today. (I'm mostly reading, but the back-and-forth over unemployment seems odd and they clearly know what sites I go on, and HHW is googlable anyway!) Assuming all comes out in my favor, it'll still go back to the date I first applied - but fight it they seem to be doing!!!
It is way too bee-yoo-tee-full to be indoors today...

What I don't like is the snarkiness that can occur in virtual conversations and the hurt feelings that can result. One of the worst places is the discussion board on the Vera Bradley corporate FB page. You'd think someone from the company would be monitoring that for the sake of their corporate image.
I wonder how long this lasted:

Well, it seems echoes of HHW haunt me wherever I go:

Today's edits are finished.
I've heard of Caldera. Did you try it?

I know you do! And you're not the only one...
THE CLOSER, just judging from the dailies, looks like it will be a really good season.
Wondering what folks think of Mary McDonnell's character, Capt. Raydor?

Well, she sure adds interest to the enemble; every show needs a Sue Sylvester!

bk - I know it's not Wednesday, but I was curious if your newest book would be available in Kindle form anytime soon. I'm enjoying the book and would like to be able to read it on the Kindle (which can also be read on the iPhone anywhere).

Thanks for the photos Ginny. I was surprised you saw badgers. 8)
Very nice pictures, Ginny!
Nice nature shots, Ginny. I have never seen a badger.
I am very happy to be home after a long day, but I had an absolutley wonderful time with Rob. We discussed many fascinating topics from YANK! going to Broadway to Jerome Kern and the making of new musicals using scores form composers' catalogs - like WHITE CHRISTMAS (Berlin), NEVER GONNA DANCE (Kern), and the reading he did last wnter of ONLY WHEN I LAUGH (Gerswin). We also talked about opera, Frank Loesser, the Victor Herbert recordings in the fall, and friends at the NYPL and Library of Congress.
Now I'm ready for a nap.

That's great, TCB!! :)

Ginny, are you reading? I had said goodbye to Masie Dobbs & Molly Murphy & had to visit with Nell this morning. I like Nell. I'm on page 187.
What a long day. Up at 4 (my body's internal clock now knows to wake me up then), at work at 6. At 10, it was off to work on the magazine for four hours, then back to the census bureau until 6 p.m. We're so far behind, it isn't funny. But since the computer system doesn't work, I've got tomorrow off. First day off in more than two weeks. Yipee. I don't know what I'll do with the time. Well, besides sleep and more sleep.
Terrible new sabout Bret Michaels being hospitalized again.

I stopped reading Maisie after about the fourth book. Are the new ones good? I loved the first two and then sort of lost interest.

I wonder how many people will go to photograph the bears?
