I love the original The Music Man poster and, of course, the Follies poster.
And the word of the day is: FOPPERY!
"Take a little one step,
Two step,
Three step.
Come a little closer, please..."
Moot played a rather larger part in last night's LAW AND ORDER series finale.
Or should that have had a spoiler alert? ::)

This morning I finished reading something I've been trying to get to for a very long time--Truman Capote's BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S. Would it be sacrilegious to wish they would do another film adaption?
I liked that ASSASSINS poster much more than the "Pull My Finger" one they had for B'way...
Good morning - I already know more awaits me in the office than is humanly possibleto handle - and that is before the first phone call comes...
I need to win teh Lotto - I don't need a big win - if I could walk away with say $500,000 cash ... after taxes....I could be set...
ah well.. I can dream can;t I?
DR Cillaliz i am also cheering for Derek and Nicole on DANCING WITH THE STARS. And i truly think they will win.
re: last night's show I think they did the best. Although i was so upset for them that they partially missed that last lift. That freestyle routine was amazing and they would have gotten all 10s.
It's sort of an advantage for them that derek has been in the finals so many times. And he knows exactly what to do for a freestyle. Anna seemed so out of her element, i felt bad for her. I didn't love their routine but i thought it was better than what the judges were saying about it.
I wasn't crazy about erin's final dance. I think she lost the title there (not sure that she ever could have win).
I think based on the season and on last night's momentum i would be surprised if nicole did not win. Although it is definitely possible that evan could pull it off. But i don't think that many people would have voted for him based on what he did last night. I know i was voting for both evan and nicole all season. But last night i only voted for nicole.
It has been rightfully pointed out to me that the spelling of pus is pus not puss. However, I chose the latter spelling because pus spelled backwards is sup and the thought of sup and pus together makes me want to vomit on the ground.
That is probably why my children's book PUS IN BOOTS didn't sell...

If I were voting, I wouldn't vote for Derek. He may be a splendid dancer, but his dancing calls attention all to himself -- and some rather unappealing pelvis twitching that seems to be his trademark. It's his partner who should shine, and she doesn't.

Oh, most assuredly.
LOL!
Doesn't the object of your use of the word also make you want to vomit on the ground? ;)

I totally disagree. I find him to be an incredible choreographer. And to me he calls much less attention to himself than someone like maks. I think that nicole shines in every dance that she does with derek. Just my opinion.
How pretty, Jane.
Speaking of that nightmare, it was six months ago today I had my surgery. I am truly grateful I don't feel as I did back then & that my legs function so I can take my walks and hike. I just thought my shoulder & arm would be working better by now. The PT guy keeps reminding me what I had was exceptionally traumatic, more so than regular breaks.Continued vibes for your recovery.
It's been a very long six months, hasn't it, Jane?

Well, as William McKinley once said to John F. Kennedy; "What doesn't kill you, will only make you stronger."
Thank you John G. There is one spot, and always has been, that has given me the most trouble. Of course it is going to be the last place to stop hurting. The problem is, when it does the sharp burning pain it does so well I have to ease back off of my exercises. Of course that means I'm not moving forward. Anywhere else I'm permitted to push through the pain & ignore it.I admire your ability to push through the rest of the pains and to know when to ease back.

No, my personal motto is, "Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"

But seriously, I guess I try to stick to that motto. I have had five major surgeries, and I am still kicking; so I assume God isn't through with me yet.

And, Jane, you're not complaining. You're sharing what you are experiencing.

I was hoping Laura would have more kitten s for me
I hope you have a better day tomorrow.
I was just reading up on the Oberammergau Passion Play that is presented every ten years. Don't you think it would be cool if some town in Ireland would put on BRIGADOON once every ten years, and really made it a special event?
