DR Jane (or anybody else who watched) did you like the Betty White show HOT IN CLEVELAND? Apparently the reviews were good, so it is going to start airing here on July 5th.I love the cast, but people at work were not too thrilled with the writing.
And the word of the day is: GASCONADE!
Glad that MR BK was the Buy It Now winner on the Glasser items on EBAY.
Healing vibes to the nose of DR DRUXY and congratulations to same on 2000 posts!
Yes, lovely window, DR GINNY.
Perhaps Oscar the Kat with the bionic paws should have his name changed to Liza Minnelli
Good morning, all! I went to bed around 9:30 pm feeling quite lousy and slept as long as I coud before the demands of the day may me rouse myself. The jerk above me around 1:10 or so mke quite a racket; it sounded like he dropped a huge bag of marbles: a nosy thud and the sound of many marbles rolling around his uncarpeted floor. I want the fool deported back to Canada. Now.
I'm still feeling poorly, and there's been no word from Randy or Jo to my last inquiry about the state of real estate which bums me out. Keep them vibes coming!
This morning, laundry and cleaning the apartment and mopping the bathroom. After that, I have Victor Herbert and Wizard of Oz work.
TOD: If money were no object, I'd send myself to a good clinic for the major repairs I cannot afford and then I'd spend my time working on recordngs of music and shows that need to be recorded.
Saturday morning greetings! Richard and I are both suffering lower back pain - a combination of stress and not sleeping on our own TempurPedic mattress. We all did sleep in today and we're about to go out for brunch and send DS Rob home in my car to help some friends of his move into a new apartment. Richard and I will stay in Lima until after tomorrow's service.

Ginny what is the proper way to address Richard in his position (besides Richard)?
I just got my Internet back after being without it since Wednesday, so I'm feeling lost. Why the internet went away and why it came back just as suddenly, I have no idea. You heard it here first!

Gee, I don't even know the proper way to phrase the question.
Just found out that dear reader Cason will be in LA for a few days and I've asked him if he can be my helper for the Promises ship day, presuming it happens on Tuesday or Wednesday - that would be great.

Well, DR TCB, the sign in front of the church says:
The Rev'd Dr. Richard Palmer, Vicar
so you can call him Richard, Fr. Palmer, Fr. Richard, Vicar Richard, Vicar Palmer, or Dr. Palmer. Just don't call him Dick.

What about Dickar?
And I see Facebook's very own Jose has been monkeying around - well, here's my guess - either I or someone else said something that he didn't care for (although I can't imagine what) and he has left - and my guess is that he has, in fact, answered people's queries and no one wants to tell me what the problem is/was. Too bad. You can always PM me the information. I'm just baffled by it, frankly - well maybe he feels it's more about him on Facebook and less about the community of this jernt. I honestly have no idea why he would do this - as I will always point out - the people on this site have been very friendly, positive, and supportive of him, always.

I have neither heard from him nor contacted him. I assume he has new friends and new goals to pursue.

I agree with Vixmom on the maid idea. And I would help fund DR Elmore's project of getting some of these wonderful yet forgotten old scores recorded -- as they were meant to sound.
In a way, I'm getting one of the things I had wanted for a long time this weekend. I've long wanted a Vitamix. Really wanted one, ever since I saw what these machines can do in the kitchen. Low and behold, they were for sale on the nearby Air Force base, and a friend of mine works there, so he picked one up for me tax-free and a slightly reduced rate, which makes it about 15 percent off what I would have otherwise paid. I take possession tomorrow, and I can't wait to get started. Smoothies, raw soups, cooked soups, frozen drinks ...

TOD - a really BIIIIIG house on lots of land - so I could entertain and have people stay and visit for asslong as they liked - and of course maid to help keep it all tidy and clean

DR Elmore, our vibes and prayers are always with you. We love you!!!
I'm spiffying up the house for our house sitters and then it's off to Aladdin Jr auditions and then back to the house to pack for the trip. All checked in for JetBlue - our flight leaves at 9:55pm.
Hang on angels....
If I had unlimited funds I'd buy really cool old endangered buildings and restore them.

I sent a message via facebook a while back. I haven't heard back. I'm assuming he's just busy and off on some adventures. I would be surprised if he's mad about something
Speaking of my sister...she just called and she, her daughter and our mom are at my parents' rental house getting it ready for new renters. They need a roll of paper towels and since I live so close (and I have a lot of rolls of paper towels...Costco, you know), I'm going to bring them some. After that, I'm going to work for a couple of hours, then tonight it's Saul Tannenbaum's SPRINGTIME IN PARIS featuring the Gay Parisiennes! (http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/event.php?eid=115315121843813&index=1) (The link is to a Facebook event.) I've always thought that if I won the lottery, I would buy a big estate (probably something like Michael Burn's place that's for sale!) and turn it into a non-profit retreat for documentary filmmakers to work on their projects. Then I would have a big place to live with lots of land, surrounded by interesting people with interesting projects, and of course, a maid and a gardener to keep the place up. Win-win!
THE LAST STATION and everybody in it is brilliant, particularly Mr. Plummer and Helen Mirren.
Cilla, how are your parents & friends at the lake?
Amy thank you for the link to the video for the bionic cat. I was moved by the doctor's joy & deep emotion.
We're all under a tornado watch again tonight
I'm curious in the US if there are a lot of people with flags on their cars for soccer (World Cup). Maybe it's a bit different because the US is/was in it and Canada isn't. But here everywhere you look there are cars with all different countries flags on them.
The most prevalent was Italy. Although i haven't seen any of theirs in the last few days. I wonder if there is some unwritten rule that when your team is out you take the flags down. I still did see flags today. Some Germany and a few others.

Me, too. I got choked up when he knelt down, a little overcome by emotion. May his breakthrough help many other animals in need.

Tornado vibes!
Jane, I hear you - I just don't understand it is all. If you can make posts on Facebook, why can't you at least respond to someone here and tell them what's what? Why is that difficult? I understand people go through things, but since his posts on Facebook have the monkey and he's all over town I assume that nothing is wrong. I suppose it will become clear at some point.
We're all under a tornado watch again tonight

Thanks but maybe anti-tornado vibes would be better ;)
Oy! A TMC show about a woman who is pregnant at 70 years old. Yikes! The "miracles" of modern science.

We have had the DVD sitting here from NetFlix. I'm going to push Keith for us to watch it tonight. He doesn't seem very interested.

I love the driveway photos DR Jane. What a beautiful setting to spread asphalt!

My wife and I watched it last night.
We thought that the performances were superb, but we found the script lacking. Neither of us got that emotionally involved.
On the other hand, we also watched GREEN ZONE, which is a terrific political action-thriller.

Give him a break--he does have a driveway to repave, you know. ;)
Finally we have some driveway pictures.
DR Cillaliz, I hope you DO have to water your flowers!
DR Cillaliz, I hope you DO have to water your flowers!
I watered my flowers...I should have done it last night, I thought we woudl get rain. My parents are getting the storms again. I just called and they are in the basement with the sirens going off. I don't think they are going to have a tornado, the one that touched ground was south west of them and moving south east so they should be ok. It still looks like they are getting heavy storms. She'll call when it's over.
It was sad seeing Bosco unable to jump into the car today. I had to pick him up and put him in. He has been going downhill the last few weeks, losing weight and becoming very lethargic. I suspect that the time is soon coming when he will be no more with me, and I am not quite ready to face that day.

I'm up - finally got a little over eight hours of sleep - if I can do that over the next few days, I'll be back to normal.

Yep, that's part of our agenda, too. I'd love to restore a place like Michael Burns and his wife did.

MBarnum have you called the vet? Sometimes cortisone helps with pain and increases appetite. Side effects include drinking tons of water resulting in accidents in the house.
DR Jane, that's a beautiful place to hike - thanks for sharing!

TOD - in the short term, I'd buy or rent us a "second home" here in Lima, because I'm getting a little tired of the Fairfield Inn. In the longer term, I'd buy a small apartment in NYC, because that's where I'd really like to be spending more time.
