Well, you've read the notes, the notes went in search of late night dining and came up empty, and now it is time for you to post until the sleepy cows come home.

Good morning, all! I was up before the alarm went off because I was havng the weirdest soap opera dream, which ran between a summer camp (clearly a residual of reading THEATER GEEK) and a doemstic drama involving a dead dog. I cannot make sense of it now but it was bizarre.

This morning, back to the McGlinnventory, and then I meet with Joshie, who wants me to look over a piece he just orchestrated. He's very good, so it will be fun to talk about choices, his concerns, and other options. I'm sure it will be fine. I can get very very very neurotic about my work before it's finally heard, as BK can attest from his many sessions with me.

Speaking of which, BK, thanks fo the lovely post about LOST IN BOSTON on Facebook! Now that everything's out of print, I still buy used copies of all our albums on eBay, Amazon, and SecondSpin. I'm waiting for the LOST IN BOSTON Hollywood Bowl concert series.

I have to get myself ready to leave this dump.  DR Ben, July 30 is great!

Wednesday!

DR JMK - Curly Myers and Harlow Hickenlooper (Hal Fryer) were the co-hosts of the Three Stooges program on WFBM.....Myers had also sung on WFBM radio for years - so I am sure having him on her program - since the movie must have been short - was great fun for them both.

I would love to have a scan or copy of those pages.

The Three Stooges program was mainly on Saturday morning, but it bounced around the afternoon schedule sometimes.  Once Frye was doing the program live from the lawn of the WFBM studio - must have been summertime....and they immediately preceded Frances' show.

He was talking away and around the corner came Frances lugging a big handbag, head down, and racing to the front door.  Fryer stopped her and she pulled off her sunglasses to talk for a moment, but finally had to excuse herself....she said she was running late, she had been working in her rock garden and lost track of time.  My guess is the tumblers of vodka had something to do with it, too.

In the South of Jersey and most of the Philly-delphia area, there are always places where one can eat no matter the time of day (though my favorite 24/7 diner, Olga's in Marlton, NJ, closed up permanently last year because of mismanagement.)

Bruce I don't think you are petty.  I think you are overly sensitive and making too big a deal about Jose not being here.  I don't know why you, or anyone, would necessarily expect him to see all of his emails when his electricity was out.  Even if he weren't having problems, emails get missed at times or they get lost. Don't come back with he was on FB, because initially he was barely there.

I watched the tv series THE CLOSER for the very first time this week...in fact I watched two episodes. Wow, what a nifty show that is. I think I will become a regular viewer now.

For some reason I thought it was some sci-fi show. Who knew?

Hey there everybody.  It's Wednesday, and that really means completely nothing when you seem to work 7 days a week.  Shows are coming along fine.   Have to do a wedding AND a funeral this week, which will be nice for the income.  I made reservations last night for a fondue place to take the DP and my mom on Sunday to celebrate the DP's birthday.  The extra income will come in handy!  Will try and check in from Agrabah later today.  Toodles Poodles.

I just heard from Gigi Perreau, who is vacationing in France.

She informs me that it was Irene Hervey who played Andy Devine's wife in the Valley Music Theatre's production of NEVER TOO LATE.

Ms. Hervey was married to Alan Jones and is the mother of Jack Jones.

According to Gigi: "It was a wonderful cast and lots of fun to do - my first experience doing theatre in the round."

I recall doing an interview with Alan Jones for one of my movie books.

I also interviewed Any Devine for another of them.

Both men were very gracious; quite friendly.

I've never fallen off my bike.  My bike related injuries seem to come from when i'm stopped and trying to turn around or things like that.

Maybe the riders find it cooler to bike in sandals (if it's a hot day).

Back from my volunteer admin meeting.  It's a brownbag lunch, but 11:30 is a little early for me for lunch, so I stopped at Taco Bell after the meeting.  There was no one at the counter to wait on customers and the first thing I heard was a male voice from the direction of the drive-thru say, "S**t, why don't all these people just go away?"

So, I did.  I enjoyed a nice lunch at Skyline Chili down the street and sent a complaint on the Taco Bell website as soon as I got home.

He was a DR before I joined in 2004. He's a friend on BK's Facebook page, if that's any help, but he's no friend of mine. I don't wish him well, only dead and buried. Cremation might be nice.

I am kicking myself for not visiting a friend that wasn't well.  Now it is too late as he is in hospice.  I was told not to call and only send a card.  This means the next time I see his wife will be at his funeral and the last time I went to a funeral I sat with her.  :(

Kidz!!! I'm up in the air on an Alaska Airlines plane, on my way back to Seattle, after an 11-day trip for a major Tina crisis - upshot is -- Alaska Air has free wireless internet, WAY above the earth!!! I love this!!!

My siblings visited Tina on July 4 - I had been gone for 5 weeks - and they were aghast at her shocking weight loss - she had lost about 25 pounds since I left - nobody else had gone to see her, and she was missing me pretty badly. She hates living at the old folks assissted living place, and was in a terrible state.

Calling Doctor Penny! I got on a plane and have been there since July 9 -- found her a townhouse, got her to a doctor, lotsa crazy stuff... I'll go back down in about 3 weeks.

A really nice perk was that I could go to Rogue Machine Theatre to see my peeps, see the opening weekend of the world premier Steven Sater piece, see the west coast premier of our first late-night show of the season, work box office for all three plays, attend the 13th chapter of our literary evening, Rant and Rave, AND attend the playwrights' group last night.

Car and flight were paid for, since I had to put in about 35 hours on the Tina mission...

and here I am, in a science fiction movie, typing away and communicating with y'all by internet, ON A PLANE!!!

DR Ben, March 23 is okay, too.

Is that your scheduled arrival date in Manhattan?

Back from my volunteer admin meeting.  It's a brownbag lunch, but 11:30 is a little early for me for lunch, so I stopped at Taco Bell after the meeting.  There was no one at the counter to wait on customers and the first thing I heard was a male voice from the direction of the drive-thru say, "S**t, why don't all these people just go away?"

So, I did.  I enjoyed a nice lunch at Skyline Chili down the street and sent a complaint on the Taco Bell website as soon as I got home.

Good for you!  That person seems to be inconvenienced by even having a job! :P

Oh, the possibilities!! ;D

I'm voting for the OLC of Promises, Promises.

ME, TOO!!

But if it's not...I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever it turns out to be.

:)

I spent a lot of money having my LP of the OLC digitized and cleaned up and re-equalized (which I supervised) years ago.  Everyone I gave copies to couldn't believe how good it sounded.

I remember!  I got a copy from you, also. :-*

I just discovered that my song "Wasn't It Spring Yesterday?" got airplay in the Phillipines and some country that speaks Afrikaans (is that South Africa)?  Did ASCAP ever tell me?  Three guesses and the first two don't count.  I have yet to see one red penny in royalties despite this song getting several nanoseconds of airplay.  ;)

I did a two and a half mile jog.  Lunch at Barney's Beanery - I had a chicken salad sandwich, which was good, and their fries, which are great, and a small side of mac and cheese, which was stupendous.

Watching a Swedish vampire movie.  When did Sweden start making great movies again?

Good evening!! Still have my summer cold. Lots of coughing - not pleasant.  It seems to be going around.

The moisture is just sitting there waiting for a thunderstorm to gobble it up - at least that's what the weather man says

Oh good grief we could get 2.9 inches of rain between now and Saturday morning.  Glad that the workers got the windows - mostly done - they thought they were completely done, but I found a couple they need to finish.  They did get the deck done and the roof of the gazebo.

After they left - around 5:00 or so, I started putting the combinations back in.  Let's just say there are 30 windows and 3 parts to each combination.  three of the windows were painted shut and took me literally about an hour (combined) to get them open.  I washed most of the windows, until I got too tired.  I finished at 8:30 PM.  AHH.  What a terrible job, but so nice to have them in before the rain starts.  I'll have to take a few back out for them to work on them

We had over 2 inches of rain a couple days ago, so another 3 will be more than we need.  I'd love to send the extra

I must say that having 90 pieces of windows (60 glass windows and 30 screens) in the house really makes every room a total mess.  I can't wait to start cleaning.  I'm taking Friday off to do just that

Well, it's time for me to leave.  It's been a day of nothing but paying invoices and tomorrow is the last day for this month.  IT'S TAKES SO MUCH LONGER on the new computer system than the old :P But...we can never go back to before (a Ragtime reference).

Work has been very busy lately.  It seems almost everyone who comes in for a consult is hiring us.  The percentage is a lot higher than its been, so we've really got work to do!  That is a very good thing

Hey Everybody!  Didn't get to check in from Agrahbah, but I'm here now.  Speaking of quilts, I have a bunch of show t-shirts that I'd like to make into a quilt someday...

Today was fine.  Ended up going out to dinner at BJ's with the DP, which was yummy.  We went to Target for some unnecessary Wii shopping and bought 3 games, which I hope someday will get played.  Tomorrow is back to the Annie pit in which I will cry during the overture and any line that I know was sung by Laurie Beechman in the original.  Not to mention at the 3,000th reprise of "Tomorrow".  Such a sap.

And now on another note (an F-sharp) I believe I'm going to pay off my car now.

Maybe my queasiness is from watching this Swedish vampire movie, which is a bit of greatness.
