Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sweet and had some small modicum of inspiration, and now it is time for you to post until the sweet and inspired and decidedly peculiar cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MUSSITATE!
-
Boy, you know it is going to be a long day when you wake up for the day at midnight.
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Good morning, all! Day Two in the studio, and I think it should go smoothly. We have two sings, Mr Ron Raines in the morning session and in the afternoon one Mr Aaron Lazar of A TALE OF TWO CITIES and the revival of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. I think the day will go relatively smoothly.
When I got home last night, I posted on HHW, caught up on the posts, ordered some Chinese food, watched three episodes od IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, talked on the phone to Bruce Pomahac for around 30 minutes, and turned off the lights at 10. Even with the ear plugs, the Oaf was quite noisy around 12:30 when he woke me up, and less noisy when I checked the clock at 3:58am to learn at what tme of the night he was wondering about the apartment. He doesn't settle for a minute; there are lots of footsteps pacing around and I wonder if he's stoned or there are several people. He not only pisses me off but he gives me the creeps.
It's 7:15 am, and I have to make the bed, have some breakfast, and prepare my lunch for the studio. The subways were running quite slowly, so I may leave here earlier than I usually do.
-
Recording vibes for DR Elmore.
-
And good morning to all.
-
Up early. We're playing bells this morning at church. Should be interesting since I've been on vacation the past two weeks and haven't rehearsed.

Dessert from last night. It was called Romance, and a fine Romance it was. Chocolate ganache torte with a coconut-tapioca cream and a vanilla creme anglaise on top.
-
I forgot to tell DR JRand60 that Zak showed up in a nice jacket and slacks, no lion skin, sword or sandals.
-
Perhaps at another session he will wear those. I will let you know.
-
Good vibes again today Dear Larry!
-
We will probably take a trip uptown today. Anthony needs a Michael's Craft Store fix and there is one in Manhattan at 99th Street and Columbus Avenue.
We will have turkey meatloaf with green beans for dinner tonight.
-
Looks like the sisters are a hit.
Liz and Ann (http://www.playbill.com/news/article/143508-Additional-Tour-Dates-Announced-for-Liz-and-Ann-Hampton-Callaways-Boom-)

Thanks for the Zak report, DR ELMORE.
-
For some reason I thought MR BK was attending LOF last night....but it is tonight!
-
Today we close the barn theatre and have our last board meeting of this season.....our 49th..... Our annual meeting is on October 31st....and then we head into our 50th season. Whew!
-
Last night I watched GUN CRAZY on TCM. I had read much about this film for many years, but had never seen it. It is most interesting and entertaining......John Dall & Peggy Cummins as a kind of late 40's Bonnie & Clyde.
DR JMK - Peggy is a knockout and reminds me so much of Frances in many of her scenes.....here are some excerpts......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuceuJMZHwM
She is particularly Frances-like in this scene starting at about 6:50

I need to get dressed and get moving. I'm going to meet my sister at the mall.
First I am going to attempt to do some hooping. I had to stop for a month when my back was getting better. For some reaon even after my back mostly stopped hurting the hooping was putting pressure on my lower back and did not feel good.
So now I need to start getting back into it.
-
I wonder if the same teams that struggled last week on TAR will be in the bottom again? It's always interesting to see if the same teams have trouble. Hopefully it will be other good show.

I caught a few minutes of that last night, too. ;D But I've seen it many times. The weird thing is when you search for FF on eBay, GUN CRAZY comes up a lot. Not sure why.

And the word of the day is: MUSSITATE!
And The Song Of The Day Is: FRANKLIN SHEPARD INC.

Last night, I watched a motion picture on dvd entitled A COUNTESS FROM HONG KONG. In spite of its credentials, I was sorely disappointed. Charles Chaplin directing, Marlon Brando, Sophia Loren, Tippi Hedren, Sydney and Geraldine Chaplin and Margaret Rutherford starring all led up to a big pot of nothing memorable. Well, the love theme was memorable, outside of the movie when sung by Miss Petula Clark. On the other hand, Miss Loren looked lovely in almost every frame she was in. . .
-
Elmo!! Recording vibes, lad!
-
and a happy page 2 dance to all and sundry!
-
My sister's birthday party was very nice - her kids hired their favorite caterers, whom we've been blessed with on other family occasions. Rik had a rollicking good time, and slammed back tequila shots a-plenty, washed down with very good wine. I was her designated driver, and thus got back VERY late, as she stayed to the last guest's departure.
Today I have my art therapy session at the same ol' rehab where I've been working for going on three years. Fortunately, it has been moved from 10 am to 11 am.
-
off I go to get some caffeine and a shower. bye, loves.
-
Take care, Penny!!!! Good hearing what's going on!
-
More vibes of whatever kind needed to dear DR TD
-
The Countess From Hong Kong.
-
Off to close the barn and have a meeting.
Then back for TAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Wow I just got an email telling me how I can find Spicy Whores for FREE!!!!
The Spicy Whores are free, or finding them is at no charge? And how do you cook them, exactly?

I love that movie. Peggy is great! And isn't that Russ Tamblyn at the beginning?
-
I did not sleep well at all last night. I awoke at 11:00pm to the sounds of sirens, looked out the bedroom window to find an ambulance and a fire truck pull up in front of the building. Then I heard someone shout something like "around back" and both vehicles left.
The building's fire alarms weren't going off, so I just went back to sleep, but had a headache the rest of the night. Don't know if that was from the massive dose of Vitamin D that I took Saturday (I take one pill a week), the Bollywood King Kong movie, or the chocolate zucchini bread that I bought at the Saturday market.
Perhaps the combo of all three was just too much for me.
-
Actually, I think it is just allergies. I am all stuffed up this morning.

Miss Dixie Bell sure is not feeling under the weather:

-
I'm up, after a good night's sleep.
-
The reviews are exactly what I expected and have already generated more orders for Sugar. He asks why bother with CD 1 when the remix (not remastering - I'm so clear about it in the booklet so not sure how he gets it so wrong) is so much better - if I didn't do CD 1 then the original LP mix would have never been available on CD - and even if I kept it to myself that the previous CD HAD been a remix (albeit a bad one) then you'd have had purists screaming that only the remix was available. So, there was no way to win, so I always err on the side of doing what I think will sell the most CDs even though it's more costly to do so.
-
I'll go jog as soon as I'm a little more awake.
-
I've been given some hypothetical insight into why my ex-bosses might be contesting my eligibility for unemployment.
-
Good Morning! Good Afternoon!
I'm up, I'm up... And, alas, I believe my yearly bout with Fall allergies has kicked in. They're not bad. I'm still functional. They're just annoying. Meh! Bah!
-
Actually, I think it is just allergies. I am all stuffed up this morning.
I feel your pain, DR MBarnum. Literally.
-
It's a beautiful day in Manhattan. We just returned from Bed, Bath and Beyond after buying some health and beauty products and then a browse at Academy Records and CDs.
It's supposed to return to rain and bad weather for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I hope it gets better by next Sunday. A friend from Nottingham is coming in and we are meeting her for a tour of our neighborhood and brunch, probably at East of Eighth. If it's raining and cold we may just end up visiting at the apartment and then having brunch.
-
From Jrand:
I didn't know DR JMK was a vegetarian.
I guess you don't recall his story of feeding Bruce Boca burgers ;D
-
My eyes hurt.
Laters...

I still haven't jogged but I think I will now.
-
Thank you, Jane.
-
I thought it was over but it's not - if you get anything from my whitesheik address via AOL that has ONLY a link in it (I NEVER EVER send links without explaining what the link is and all my e-mails have headers) do NOT click on the link. I'm going to be sending out mass e-mails shortly and I'm afraid that all the AOL accounts are going to go bye bye after almost twenty years of having them - so a big thanks to the hackers and all of my most excellent vibes and xylophones for a quick and painful death, which cannot come soon enough for those disgusting, pathetic people.
-
Back from a two and a half mile jog and see there are no posts since I last posted. After a wonderful rally a few weeks ago, it seems we're now back to the dog days of whatever.
-
Well, this is a fine how do you do - you'd think it was a Sunday or something.
-
Up from an overdue nap. Now, a few hours with "Coco Before Chanel." This is the second time around I've tried to watch this movie. Hopefully I won't run out of time or get called away like before. And, yes, I'm glad to hear they stop the story before trying to whitewash her Nazi sympathies.
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! We'd been home from Lima just long enough to change clothes and turn the heat on when the phone rang. It was Andrea, a longtime friend of mine and DR Elmore's who's in town from Atlanta this weekend. She and her husband just stopped by for a short visit and it was great to see them!
-
Never been to the Windsor.
I read one article where it was the writer's favorite restaurant along with Musso's. Chances are you would have liked it.
-
I watched a motion picture on dvd entitled A NEW KIND OF LOVE, one of those early 1960s' sex comedies, but, this one had a wonderful cast which kept it afloat: Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Thelma Ritter, Eva Gabor, George Tobias and Maurice Chevalier. Fluffy, very fluffy, but it was nice to see a light-hearted Newman.
-
Does anyone have to pay to access their local paper online?
Beginning the 19th of this month we will have to pay to read our two local papers. They aren't very good to begin with & I only look at them for the local news & obits. Long ago we stopped the paper since they could never figure out hold dates, plus all the recycling. Soon I will will be out of the loop regarding the local news.
At least we will have free access to emergency info.

I like this movie. :)

td when you recommended THE HISTORIAN you neglected to mention how much the darn book weighs. I'm happily more than half way through now so my left arm, vs right shoulder, does most the work of holding it. I'm glad I'm reading it. :)
-
I keep thinking I'll stop taking my local paper because there are so many days I read it online but not in paper, but there are a lot of things in the paper version that aren't online. So, I keep taking it
-
We take 2 papers - our local one and Cincinnati. The local one is pretty lame, but occasionally has something we'd hate to have missed. And where would I get my 2 daily crossword puzzles if not for the Cincinnati Enquirer?
-
We cancelled the paper many years ago. I listen to the radio while driving or I read the online version.
-
What's a newspaper?
-
I get a Sunday paper that I cancelled years ago. I don't know why they deliver it every sunday, but they don't bill me and I don't really think it's my obligation to call them and tell them to stop

Will your TV stations provide updates? The newspaper here, which I hate to admit I used to work for, is so now embarrassingly devoid of local copy that I find more information on the sites for the various TV stations.

"Coco" is over. It was OK. Pretty. Well acted. But only OK.

Oh, so I DON'T need Viagra? ;D
-
Still page 3.
-
Must be a slow Sunday.
-
It is for me.
-
My first Vampire Diaries segment is on its way to the CW. It's long, but we'll let them decide what to cut. Fingers crossed they like it. I'm torn between working on taxes and starting the next episode...so of course, I'm here!
-
Today I finished setting all the little tiles for my mosaic class. It's only a two session class, I guess more of an introduction, anyway, the tiles have to sit and dry for 48 hours before you can grout, so I finished it today so I can get the benefit of the teacher in grouting next Saturday. She said if you don't finish you have to just grout on your own. I'm making a trivet. It's actually fun. I may just make trivets for Christmas gifts. Or possibly garden stones. I still have lots of adhesive and grout from my backsplash project, so I figured I may as well do something with it. I really enjoyed designing the trivet.
-
Wow, I just read this: http://bedbugregistry.com/hotel/NY/New-York/Edison-Hotel and am really glad I didn't book at the Edison!

Please post pictures of trivets!

The Page 4 laundry dance.

Saw YOU AGAIN, It reminder me of My Best Friends Wedding but on a wider scope. It also made me feel real old. I didn't know any of the younger actors except for one. I heard of her, but don't think I ever saw her in anything.
There were a couple of surprise cameos at the end of the film.
But I did enjoy it and there are some really funny performances especially Jamie Lee Curtis.
-
Had a lovely brunch with our little French boy. Almost too cold to cruise in the convertible but we did anyway!
-
Has anyone seen that IMDB has redesigned their website.
I don't like it. To me its more cumbersome and more difficult to find what you want to know
-
Sorry about your account getting hacked, bk. I have never understood what gratification these scum get from doing this!

The other day I noticed it was different and didn't like it, but today it looks normal. Hmmm....maybe I was looking on a different browser.

It was also Charles Chaplin last film appearance.
It is supposed to take place partially in the US, but since Chaplin was blacklisted it was filmed in England. There is a scene with Loren on the beach and its so obvious that she is standing in front of a process screen.

I keep thinking I'll stop taking my local paper because there are so many days I read it online but not in paper, but there are a lot of things in the paper version that aren't online. So, I keep taking it
Same here, something that will need correcting if they expect people to pay for the online paper. I found reading the comments about this very entertaining. The majority complained about the numerous spelling and editing errors & the lack of substance in general. ;D
-
I get a Sunday paper that I canceled years ago. I don't know why they deliver it every sunday, but they don't bill me and I don't really think it's my obligation to call them and tell them to stop
They want money from the advertisers. We had to remove our paper box to stop all the junk they were delivering.

We don't watch local news because the viewing is so terrible & the reason we have satellite tv. Often we know more about what is going on in California than in Oregon ;) Obviously we will have to find a new way to get our local news.
-
And oh I got some really good news this weekend,
My play is going to get a professional reading. Don't have a date yet. The theater is in Virginia, but I wil let you all know when I get a confirmed date.
Don't want to jinx it.

From DR Jrand (I think)
Now hear this.
If you have an account at IMDB, you can return to the previous interface!
1. Log In
2. Click on your account
3. Under the center Box (Personalize) click on the first link Site Preferences
4. Click the first box Reference View
5. Scroll down and click OKAY
And the world is as it was!
I changed mine :)

Follow the instructions, DR MICHAEL S and IMDB does indeed return to normal.
Yes DR JOHNG that is Russ Tamblyn at the beginning of GUN CRAZY.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR......two unauthorized charges on my account.....$6 to something called EDREAMS in Italy and $1 to a Home Depot in Florida......card number has been canceled and I will get a new card ... sometime.... HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?
-
Good news DR MICHAEL S!
-
MR BK will be seeing Mr Raul Esparza and Ms Brooke Shields onstage tonight....perhaps he will get in some of the photos.
-
At the party.
-
Football only ran over by about 5 minutes.....Indianapolis lost.....but TAR should be only THAT much late!
-

Jamie Lee Curtis was the only reason I have considered going to this movie. I think I'll wait for the $1.50 theater.

I am showing IT STARTED IN NAPLES to the dear mother. I watched the first half hour and thought that this would be an ideal movie for mum to watch. . .
I am either on a Loren kick or a Shavelson kick.

I always thought you reminded me of Jeffrey Dahlmer.

It's Sunday night. What is everyone wearing?
ME: grey, with black horizontal pin stripes, jersey.
Khaki cargo pants.
-
Congrats Michael S
-
Another good day at the studio. Ron got his three songs recorded in about two hours so we ended with time to record a piano solo before lunch. After lunch we took a stroll through the wonderful museum of the Hispanic Society next to the Academy and saw the Goya painting and other fantastic Spanish and Mexican works of art. Then the handsome and talented Aaron Lazar showed up and recorded four numbers. His beautiful performance of the heartbreaking "Heart O'Mine," written for the play "The Merry Wives of Gotham," had everyone in the studio in tears by the end. All in all, a very great day, and I hope tomorrow goes as well.
-
Great news Elmore! Glad things are going well.

Wonderful news, DR Elmore.

The Olympian (http://www.theolympian.com/) is free, but they have what they call E-Edition (http://www.theolympian.com/pages/Eedition/), an on-line version that's almost* exactly like the print edition. The E-Edition costs $5.95 a month.
*E-Edition does not currently include Sunday comics or advertising inserts. No additional charge with your regular rate weekend or daily subscription.
-
Congratulations on your great news, Michael S.!
-
Glad to hear today's recording session went well, Elmore!
-
DR Elmore - did you catch in my earlier post that Andrea came to visit me today? She asked about you!
-
DR Elmore - did you catch in my earlier post that Andrea came to visit me today? She asked about you!
I did. I'm happy that you got to visit with her. I miss her and think of her often.
Did you play your CDs? Watch your DVD?
-
I'm going to bed. It was a long day and I am quite tired. The alarm will go off around six am and I want to get a lot of rest.
-
DR Elmore - the CDs are going with me in the car tomorrow. Haven't been home enough to watch a DVD since it arrived, but I'll have a chance this week, for sure!
-
I did not see bk's post until after I opened the link. OOPS :-[

Dear John G, I forgot that Big Lots has movies. I stopped buying them at Marshall's, they went from 2.99 to 6.99 ea. :(

I went online to make my flight reservations to Chicago. After setting it all up it said to pick my seats, which I did. There was also a box to check for special economy seats which I did not click on. To my surprise there was an addition $83 included in the fees and no way to remove the seats before finalizing the booking. I then called India to book on the phone. They kindly waived the $25 booking fee which I would not have paid online.
Be very careful when booking online, you don't want to have to call India.
-
Allegiant Airlines?
-
Never mind. Couldn't be Allegiant. They don't answer their phone.

What a lazy day. Have not even unlocked the gate to go beyond the yard. Have not done anything except dust. Feel very scared, like my old comforts are about to be left behind. And have no idea where I will end up. :-\ Not even music fixed things. Wonder if it's the pills. ???
Maybe I was just so used to feeling sick all the time, this new feeling is not comfortable. ???

Off to wash the dishes, it just got really dark outside, and turn on the lights.
Have a good week everyone. ;D ;D

Night all. :)

LOL. I've never called them before. Locals tell me it is cheaper to go to the airport to book with them.
I'm flying with United. I bet most airlines have these new options you need to be careful not to click on.

I've been given some hypothetical insight into why my ex-bosses might be contesting my eligibility for unemployment.

Dear John G, I forgot that Big Lots has movies. I stopped buying them at Marshall's, they went from 2.99 to 6.99 ea. :(
Got a great deal at Big Lots the other on "Waiting for Guffman," "Best in Show" and "A Mighty Wind" all for just $6.

Waves and waves of vibes.
I started a raw food diet today. I'm hoping it does me some good. The last time I tried it, my mental energy really increased.

I forget that Olympia has a Big Lots. It's on the west side of Olympia, and I don't go over there very much, so I don't think about it. I think that I've only gone there once.

Thanks, George.

Sam, i hope you feel better soon.

VIBES for Sam

Elmore Iamglad ro hear the recording sessions are going so well
-
I just read a book called " A Girl named Zippy"
I picked it up at a garage sale for $1
It was written by Haven Kimmel about a girl who grew up in Mooreland in Indiana
With all those names I felt I simply had to read it
It was a fast read -and it might be interesting for a book group - it was quirky ... very very quirky
-
Bruce I am sorry about the hacking

Just finished watching "Road House" for the first time. The Patrick Swayze one, not the great Ida Lupino/Richard Widmark movie. My, how awful. And fascinating. And that hair!
-
I remember Road House. ;D
-
Thank you all for the vibes and wishes. Changing life styles is not fun, it's hard work. :-[
MEGA VIBES FOR EVERYONE. & LOVE ;)

I hope my energy increases. ;D
Night. 8)

Just finished watching A TIME TO KILL again. I really love that movie.
-
Today, I did not leave my house at all. I did nothing but watch TV...I watched two episodes of "iCarly" (I'm recording this for one of the daughters of my friend Margo), an episode of "The Bonnie Hunt Show" (it ended in June, but I still have 24 episodes recorded and I want to make them last), two episodes of "Glee," and tonight's "Mad Men," "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers & Sisters." I still have two hours of "Fringe" saved, but I'm not watching them tonight.
-
Back from the show and the partay and will talk about all in the notes.
-
Well, I hate to do it, but I need to go to bed now (before the new notes are posted). Tomorrow, I'm starting the training for my new job and I need to sleep. I'm still sort of freaking out about it, but I accepted the job, so I'm stuck. ;)
-
But before I go...my sister's boyfriend called me a little while ago and said that he's finally finished copying the anamorphic widescreen DVDs of South Pacific! I'll pick them up at my sister's tomorrow or Tuesday and hopefully will have time to mail everything (TCB's "High School Stories" and the non-anamorphic South Pacific) before the end of the week. :D
I'm sorry that it's taken so long, but I hope that those who've asked for copies will like them. :)

So, good night BK and guests.
